Newrez LLC Broadhollow Rd, Melville

This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Our mortage transferred, and we were notified a month later - the old company withdrew our payment, but NewRez states that we were delinquent. I CANNOT GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE. They never paid our hazard/homeowners or flood policies out of escrow acct - so we had to layout additional money so our policies wouldn't lapse.

Do not apply for a loan with this company or refinance. Ran my credit without obtaining consent. I see and hear nothing but terrible things about this company. They've cost numerous people time, energy and money. They should not be authorized to do business... legal action should be taken.

Very disappointed with the company and their guy Vinny. Stay away from him and the company.. extremely rude and unprofessional. Hangs up in the middle of the call when asked a question. I call back and ask why and his response "this is a commodity business.." not even the slightest attention to customer satisfaction... the good news rates are low and there are many options.. worse case I have been a long time customer... and BTW Vinny the number you gave me for you manager was wrong.. you are really the lowest example of a mortgage broker,,,

My loan was unfortunately transferred to NewRez in February 2020. And every month since the transfer, I have had the same issue regarding my payments being applied improperly. I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the NYS Department of Financial Services because I am very frustrated with their lack of handling my matters properly. With all their "recorded phone calls and written comments" on my account, they still cannot get my payments applied correctly. I am hoping my filed complaints to these organizations will help. I suggest that all of you who are extremely disappointed with their services to file complaints with these organizations and if the claims are valid, they will investigate NewRez. Judging by other reviews, this company needs to be investigated.

Unfortunately my mortgage was sold to this company. The have a policy that states each escrow account needs to have additional 17% of the yearly taxes and insurances in the account. So basically they decided to up my escrow payment, without even the decency to notify me of this other than an increase on my statement. It took multiple phone calls for me to finally get to the bottom of why there was an increase. Pathetic company. Hopefully they sell my mortgage soon so i don't have to deal with them anymore.

Worst company ever! Stay away! Had travelers insurance for the required Hazard. Newrez never paid them from the mortgage escrow. Had Travelers for the life of the loan and never had insurance payment lapse. Newrez then threatens with multiple letters that they will get insurance of their option if we don’t provide proof? $1750 for hazard???? I switched to State Farm. New hazard premium $545. State farm faxed proof that they were covering us. Newrez sent another letter of no insurance. Customer service is terrible . They said I had to show proof of the previous insurance with travelers. Idiots, you guys are suppose to pay Travelers from my escrow acct, so you would have the proof . Can’t wait to be done with Newrez. Nothing but a headache. Lastly, had to provide proof of a last name change for my wife. Sent all the requested proof and they finally changed her last name. That lasted about 3 months. Now we are back to the old name on her acct and no one can tell us why? Smh stay far away from them

I had a very bad experience with NewRez. Talked to a guy named Mathew McCarthy of NewRez and he was processing my application fast. He told me "okay now you have to pay 500 dollars for the appraisal then you will be approved." Then the office contacted me telling me I was approved congratulating me. The following day they declined it and said I had something in my credit bureau when I had a credit score of 680. It just didn't make any sense that my credit score from 680 went down to 605 all of a sudden. NewRez is not a lender to trust. They took my 500 dollars and said they can't give it back to me because the appraiser showed up. Be careful with NewRez very shady.

Customer service is a nightmare. I've been dealing with the same issue for 5 months now and no-one knows what they're doing. They kicked me out of the automatic payment and I had no idea until I logged into my account and saw that I owe a lump-sum amount PLUS LATE FEES .. I go into the automatic payment tab and it says due to being on the forbearance plan, automatic payments were stopped..... I was never on a forbearance plan ?! When I called, they would say they will fix the issue but never do... its been 5 months? And they also would not be waiving all the late fees because "theres multiple ways to make the payment".... I will be refinancing with a different lender.

My loan was transferred here. I received a letter saying they were transferring my information. I followed their information to create an account and monitor my new loan. I was told on 3-21 I could access the site. Unable to do so until 3-27, site didn't work. Finally logged in the extra payments were not reflected. I created a new payment with the correct information. Payment went through. I then attempted to remove the recurring incorrect payment but it said I had to call. I tried calling, 3 hours wait time no answer. I called each day 3-27, 3-28 and 3-29. Now unable to access the site as of 4/1. The second recurring payment attempts to go through but payment is stopped. Finally you can call and get through... They refuse to return a $20 fee. Refuse to give me a supervisor because this is not a "supervisor event." After repeating several times do I want to delete my recurring payment. I had to say yes, I asked 1 more time can I speak to a supervisor? This time i'm allowed and they remove the fee.

My mortgage originated with Fairway, then it was purchased (invested in) by New Rez. I have not once, NOT A SINGLE TIME, received a single communication from a company that is servicing the largest purchase I have ever made in my life. When I call their customer service, I am encountered by employees who have no idea what they're doing or how to communicate with another human being. This company strikes me as a shell for nothing. They are horrible at what they do. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
