Prior to refinancing I did what any responsible person would do and ask around. The first person I asked was the attorney i work with. He told me that I should not work with a mortgage broker because they would over charge me. So I started calling around to banks. None of them could give me a good interest rate or the terms were not what I was looking for. Then, I asked my financial advisor for a couple of referrals and he gave me two companies to contact. The first one he recommended was ClearPath. He also assured me that working with a mortgage broker was a safe bet since their work is highly regulated and they can get the best rates. So I called both. The next day I heard back from ClearPath and liked what I heard so I went with them. My experience through this process was so smooth and easy. The only issues that I had was from the bank I was leaving. All the staff were kind and friendly at ClearPath. I couldn’t have made a better decision than to work with them and I am so glad that I continued to ask around and didn’t listen to that attorney. Oh, and just for the record, I am still waiting on a return call from the other company. My refi closed months ago!

I was exploring the possibility of refinancing and had an issue with escrow increases. I found Jaime at ClearPath via the BBB site and he was great! He looked over my documents in question and volunteered to do a conference call with my original lender and me to straighten out the issue before proceeding further. Jaime helped me find out that I had misunderstood some of the bank's communications. My taxes had actually decreased so my monthly payment was scheduled to go down, not up! Furthermore, Jaime looked up my condo and found that based on it's listed value, I could apply to have the PMI removed -- a year earlier than the bank estimated! So my payment would decrease even more! In the end, refinancing was actually not advisable for me. I never would have known that without Jaime's help! The next time I'm need to finance, or know someone who is - I'm going to Jaime at ClearPath first!

I was recommended to ClearPath Mortgage by my realtor. At first I was a little hesitant to go with them instead of my local credit union, but it was the best decision I ever made! First just having a financial institution that is only M-F 8-5 limits your ability to get your questions answered. ClearPath does their best to get back to you at almost anytime you have a question.
