    So, we refinanced our home in order to save money (lower payment and interest rate) and pay off creditors. This was at the height of the pandemic, and I was forced to give up a sizable portion of my income. Daniel assured us this was a good time and got us a very competitive loan rate. All cost estimates and timeframe were accurate. Daniel and his team were very knowledgeable about all aspects and if he did not know something he would get the answer. Payments were as promised, and this was one less worry for my wife and me. I would definitely do business with Daniel and ICG again and would certainly recommend to anyone looking to finance or refinance! Great Job Thank You!

    ICG is an absolute scam. My wife initially worked with Jonathan Evans for refinancing our home in October. It took 4 months for Jonathan to submit paperwork and throughout those 4 months he constantly ignored my phone calls. The loan was finally sent over to underwriting where I received an approval letter. Then - no one called, no one picked up our calls - they completely ghosted us for another month. I then finally got a hold of Jonathan's manager, Michael Cabales. He was initially nice and apologized for the nonsense that went on. I resubmitted paperwork and he told me he would get it approved by underwriting to get me a rate (not to mention, they obviously couldn't give me the rate I was approved for 4 month prior). Michael has now ghosted me, never picking up my calls or calling me about my approval. If you read the other reviews, this happens to a lot of people who work with them. My advice - stay far, far away.

    Started my refinance with ICG. My loans processor changed every week. We did have a family emergency happen in the middle of the process, twice, where I was unsure of continuing with the refinance. But my loans person changing repeatedly really discouraged me so I chose to change to a different company, my current lender, and go that route for my refinance. I had already had an appraisal done through ICG. I have now been calling for over a month to request that my appraisal be transferred to the other lender. The current lender is no longer willing to wait so I’m forced to pay for another appraisal. Not that this is relevant to my loan situation but my transmission went out in my truck during all of this & as soon as I got it back my engine blew. I could really use the $500 that I’m going to have to pay for ANOTHER appraisal. I’m just having a hard time understanding why they can’t just transfer the appraisal. I’ve been calling every few days for a month now.

    My husband and I started the process over a month ago and we keep getting the runaround. There has been a change in staff, turnover, then they start to request things that were already provided. We have credit scores over 800, substantial savings and.cash and other investments and still today need more info.

    Avoid this business at all costs. Their process took a simple primary mortgage re-fi and dragged it out over FOUR MONTHS with endless “just a few more documents and we’ll be done” again and again and again. I thought doing it all over the phone/via email would be quick and easy - it was neither. Poor communication from the processors and an insane underwriter department make this mortgager not worth even considering. I’d give them ZERO stars if I could.

    My banker was exceptional and always accessible to answer questions. As a new home owner we came into this process knowing nothing. She was so knowledgeable and even before we were ready, she gave us the guidelines to be ready for the process.     Watch out for this place. Our loan officer Jeffrey Hopkins didn't work in the correct escrow payment to our loan (either on purpose to dupe us into thinking it was a better deal than it was or because of negligence) so now we actually owe money back to the bank. I would warn others against doing business with Jeffrey or Intercontinental Capital Group.

    It was a very long wait, but it's all worth it. Our loan officer Christian Dennis worked very hard communicating, updating us and following-up with our loan to make sure all required documents are completed and that we closed as soon as everything were all put together. It took 5 months and he explained the delays and we fully understand. Trust him, he will surely help you. I also appreciates the help of the team. Overall, we are happy.

    I’ve been working on refinancing home since July 2021, my broker has been trying to answer all my question. There has been several delay, once again due to a very low appraisal of my home done by a third party that was hired. His appraisal came in $125,000 or more, less then my house is valued at. Now they are telling me they are trying to negotiate with the appraisal company to accept another appraisal that was done by another bank less then a month before ICS home appraisal came up with. Feeling very frustrated with all the delays. I was suppose to close in August then September and now here we are in October without a closing. Every few days I hear give us more time. I ask if all my documents are all still good? My agent says he’s is working hard to closed it for both of us. Any help please send. If anyone has any way of helping to finish this loan please step in and help this is been going on way too long. Still no closing date.

    I should have read these reviews before I started this process. There’s no way this place can be legit. Everything started out great and now I’ve been left with silence.     I'm not going to say that ICG is a full scam but it became clear, after waiting for over 5 months for them to process my refinance, that they were not going to be able to close my loan. Do not waste your time with them! They had to run my credit twice, pay to extend my rate lock and recertify my home appraisal because those items expired before ICG could get their documentation together.

    Only reason I’m giving four stars is because when you talk with them they throw a lot at you. You also have to deal with multiple people and it gets confusing at first. However, they are patient with you. Sometimes I need reminded to do things. They send emails and will text with you all the way up to you getting all the info they need to get the loan approved. Everyone I spoke with and emailed with was very friendly and they do make it easy for you. They don’t nag you about getting your info over to them they send daily reminders and are very understanding if you’re busy. All in all I’d say it was a very stress free operation. Everything went smooth and easy.

    I tried to refinance with this company for over a month and the only thing that was good was they locked me in at 2.71 percentage but unfortunately nothing else panned out from the high House appraisal fee which was over 600 dollars and then the appraisal came in lower than expected, to the debt that they were going to pay off that didn't happen, to trying to get me to pay for different flood insurance. I Went to Rocket mortgage and they basically got everything done in 1 day 😃

    This has been a terrible experience overall. It is now March. We've been working with this company since before Christmas to refinance our home. The "man" we've been dealing with - ALEX FURTADO has been pretty unprofessional in my opinion, texting, taking forever to get back to us or rushing certain things so that he could leave early for the day. Just recently I called Alex with a question and he went on to tell me that the entire branch he worked in was being shut down and that the entire staff was going to a different company. He proceeded to bad mouth the company and co workers. This immediately raised red flags for me, even though I've had a weird feeling about this situation the whole time. A couple of nights ago, my husband reached out to Alex with a question and was told that he was no longer handling it, but that we should receive a call or some kind of contact from the person taking over. We haven't heard from anyone. Today I sat down and have called 10 different numbers - that company and any other number I can find in our paperwork. Some ring and cut off, others have a voice-mail but haven't called back. I've given up. I sent an email, hopefully someone will see it or this review. We are done. Please research companies or go with someone trusted, don't make the mistake we did.

    We started a refinance with this company last January. We paid $650 for an appraisal. We were sent a commitment letter in March but our closing didn’t happened. They said there was a title issue. In June our loan processor told us that she didn’t know if or when our loan could be completed. We asked to speak with a manager who only responded to us after I wrote a google review about our experience. The manager sorted out the title issue within days but told us our credit report had expired. We agreed to have another report done, a few weeks later we were told our appraisal had expired, the loan officer said that they would only cover the cost of a new appraisal if I deleted my negative google review about the company. Once again we agreed in hopes that our loan would get closed. It is now the end of July, we have decided to withdraw our application with this company. The is no compensating us for our lost time but we did send a email requesting reimbursement for our financial loss but we haven’t received a response. I hope that other people don’t end up in this situation, go with a reputable company even if the interest rate is higher.

    This has been the worst experience. My refinance went into processing on 3/29/2021. This is now 8/24/2021. It is a few days shy of 5 MONTHS!! Credit reports have to be run again because they have expired. Paperwork you have already sent needs resent. Paperwork they should have requested in the first month is being asked for in the 4 month. Underwriting is saying student loan needs paid first, ummmm this is part of the reason for the refinance. Please spare yourself 5 months of time and go with another mortgage company. I am so frustrated that I trusted them and they have done nothing but waste 5 months of my life. I spent $700 on an appraisal. Other reviews I have read said the interest rate went up before closing. So, in the off chance mine even makes it to closing, I am expecting my rate will have gone up too. My loan officer just left the company because of these ongoing issues within the company. Now I feel like I am starting all over again. This is very very frustrating. I will say they lost a good loan officer because of their incompetence. Please stop wasting people’s time and money. I have read many reviews with the same issues. Why do you comment on the reviews and tell customers to email you with their complaints? The review is the complaint. Why don’t you reach out to the customer and see what you can do for them? The bottom line is you just don’t care. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

    Refinanced My mortgage with Richard Polanco and ICG. Very satisfied with the whole experience. It is great to have a local contact in the community that you can meet and work with in person. My first mortgage was with Chase. Absolutely horrible experience. I would never go with them or one of the big banks again.

    I spoke to several loan officers at several banks before speaking to Danielle Mallon at ICG. But I knew right away she put her clients first. She didn't simply send me a link to fill out an application. She supported me and was an advocate throughout the process. Since I'm retired and no longer have a W2 the loan process could have been very difficult. But her support and intervention made all the difference. As a former project manager I know the importance of ongoing and meaningful communication. Danielle was great at keeping me informed every step of the way. I could not be more satisfied.

    My refinance with ICG has been a nightmare and now I’m stuck with them due to rate increases. It has taken 4 month, at least 3 changes and a frustrating lack to of communication from everyone involved. I recommend you look elsewhere for your refinance needs. Nothing about this process has been smooth and the company has lost me roughly $2000 in possible savings had the process taken an appropriate amount of time. Also after repeated requests to talk to a supervisor, one has yet to pick up a phone or call me back. I really have nothing good to say about this company.

They pulled my credit three tines and I have spent $650 dollars and I received zero response from Dalen Jackson. I did not hear from anyone for over a month regarding this refi. In fact the last email I received was on Aug 12th where I was told not to make my August payment as we were definitely closing. I also have emails stating we would be closing in June and July. Instead what has happened is you guys have pulled my credit twice and now are telling me you need to pull third time which will lower my score again. You have also requested expedited payoff quotes on 6/7, 7/19, 8/4 and 8/31 costing me $100 in addition to the $550 I paid for the appraisal all the way back in March. So I am out of pocket $650 so far and have zero confidence in ICG. Resend these "favorable loan terms" so I can make a decision on how I will proceed which possibilities include turning this over to my attorney to deal with CFPB and HUD.

    Christopher Fiacco has been in the business for close to 20 years. His experience,combined with his knowledge of the banking system, makes him incomparable to most brokers. I’ve done business with him on several occasions including one purchase and two refinances. In every instance the information I received was quality, accurate, and most importantly HONEST. He completely simplified the refinance process, and answered any concern I had regarding each loan directly. I’ve already referred several friends, and I’ve received nothing but positive feedback.     Started the loan process (refinance my mortgage for lower rate) in April, it was a good start, until I found out my loan officer quit her job. I was assigned new officers whom I got 1 email and phone call. Then never heard from him again. A new guy was assigned again and then out of the picture again and latest one another female loan officer who just told me that due to some circumstances this might not work. First of all April,after submitting everything they ask for, they gave me closing date in May. Then get my house appraisal out of pocket for almost $600. And then they reach out to my Home Insurance to include their company name on it. Now looking at closing by end of June. And now July it will not go through. Very disappointed and frustrated how this turned out. Also just thinking that my house is actually worth more of the loan amount. My precious time of waiting for update and continues follow up was a waste. Please next time just be upfront. Don’t drag people’s time and energy. There’s a lot of financial groups that can make this happen. Will never recommend this experience…😖😫😩

    The refinance process with Emily was a pleasant experience. Emily made the refinance process easy to understand, explained the available options and responded promptly to all inquiries throughout the entire process. We managed to complete the closing process sooner than originally expected, and the closing costs were consistent with the estimate. Emily treated me like a person instead of a number.     So when the company tells you that you are approved and now can't even get a closing done. Really waste of my time with them. Should have stayed with current bank. Sounds like two guys working out of a basement. There service is not good.

    One of the worst experiences I have ever had in dealing with a bank. Do yourself a favor and find another mortgage company or bank to handle a refinance or home purchase. I have been trying since April to refinance w/ this lender but I have been ignored, redirected, put to task for more documents, and basically lied to for months. Not to mention I have had to pay for appraisals and processing fees, and still the refinance never came through. There is zero communication if you don't hunt them down. I don't wish the experience I have had on my worst enemy. Not sure how this company is legit.

    I was contacted by ICG after going through the Costco Mortgage program. Initially it seemed the loan officer was responsive, but once I paid for the appraisal on my home, it all went down hill. The loan officer had the loan processor being the point of contact for everything, and she was very unhelpful and unresponsive. It took several times before finally getting any response from her on multiple occassions. I even tried to call a few times and her contact number must have not been turned on because it beeped and automatically disconnected. I have since closed and even that was a disaster with little to no communication or confirmation of any information that I needed before the notary arrived. Since the closing I have received several pieces of mail that say "final notice" yet when I contact my loan officer and processor they have no answers for me, just say we'll get back to you and I hear nothing back. I have tried calling the number on the letter and their website and was unable to reach a person, as it said the loan number I entered (which was on the letter) didn't exist. At this point I am unsure if I actually went with a legitimate company. This has been beyond frustrating and I encourage all people to avoid ICG.
