This companydeserveszero stars. My best friend mentioned to me that she was working towards student loan forgiveness. As a student loan counselor for a non-profit, the terms she described did not sound legit. I did a little research and if you go to their website, it explicitly says on the bottom that they are not affiliated with the Department of Education. Also, they give borrowers the impression that they will be making payments to the loan servicer on their behalf. Nothing could be further from the truth. Basically this is a document preparation company where they charge borrowers hundreds of dollars for a several months and $40 a month thereafter. The fact is, borrowers can apply for income-driven plans on their own at studentaid.gov and do not need a third party company to prepare this application for them. Also, they're charged $40 a month for recertification of their income-driven application. That process is only done once a year so the fact that they are charged a monthly fee is unconscionable. This company should be shut down for fraudulent and deceptive practices. Do not I repeat, DO NOT give this company your money.

WHAT A SCAM! Wish I could give zero stars. Have spoke to Dominic, Devon and Brandon. Was told that each payment would be towards my 120 payments to get student loan forgiveness and to my surprise 8 months of payments and not one cent towards my loan. Have asked to speak to supervisor and they keep telling me they are busy. This is a service you can do YOURSELF by going to a government website and applying for consolidation. If you have been scammed by them call your credit company/bank and file a chargeback on grounds of fraud and please report them to the FTC.

Mark Manansala setup my repayment plan. I tried canceling the repayment plan and they gave the runaround. He promised to send me a cancelation letter to my email and never did. I sent him two firm emails about getting a lawyer. I also had to call and leave messages and the last agent I spoke with was Brandon Marks. Brandon did finally send the letter after I requested to speak with a supervisor. He kept asking me why did I need to talk to a supervisor. I guess he was trying to protect his friend Mark. I told him I have a customer service complaint. He said you are no longer a customer so what are you complaining about and hung the phone up on me. Poor customer service. I shouldn't have to fight people about my money. Hanging up on a customer is appalling.

Did an amazing job with the document processing. They were helpful the entire way and answered all the questions that I had in a timely manner. I would recommend this to anyone looking for great customer service.

SL Finance was superb in working with us to get control of our debt. They were precise and wonderful to work with as they walked us through the entire process and we were able to get the consolidation done. We would highly recommend them if you are in need of student loan help!

PLEASE BEWARE! This entire business is A SCAM. Don’t fall for the professional website. More and more of these businesses are popping up during a pandemic and stealing the money of vulnerable people. This a service you can do YOURSELF by going to a government website and applying for consolidation. The difference here is you will be giving SCAMMERS all your personal info (bank, school info) under the guise of “debt relief” only for them to redirect the monthly payments to themselves. The only positive reviews here are left by their own families and friends I can say that for a fact. If you have been scammed by them I highly suggest you call your credit company/bank and file a chargeback on grounds of fraud and please report them to the FTC, BBB, etc.

This is a scam!!!!! I payed them for months all for them to change all my passwords, and change my status of my loans as if I was in ‘financial crisis’ and need to push my payments out. The whole time my account is in this stays, they are accepting payments from me. None of the payments ever went toward anything. Please avoid this company by all costs. SCAM!

Absolutely the worst. They took my money for five months and not to mention the countless phone calls because they kept telling me they didn't have info I already gave them. I continued to get emails from my loan provider that said I was delinquent on payments and they did nothing about it. Now its about 8 months after my first payment and nothing being resolved and they canceled my application and said they couldn't help me.
