I received a letter in the mail from Secure One Capital about refinancing the loan on my property. I had never refinanced anything before but felt that I should take advantage of the extremely low interest rates. I called the number and was connected with a "Nicole Hill", who I briefly spoke to about the refinancing process. I was assigned to worked with her assistant Moe Suri, who was absolutely amazing! I had a ton of questions as it was my first time through a refinancing process. Moe was constantly patient and more importantly available to answer any and all questions that I had. He kept me up to date on status, where we were in the refinancing process and the next steps. I can honestly say that if it were not for Moe, I probably would have searched for a new lender to refinance under. I had a difficult time reaching Janene Spargur, who was the senior processor assigned to my account. At one point, I had attempted to contact Janene several times regarding some crucial information on my loan. I was never called back. Moe was the saving grace. I could call or text him day or night and he was ALWAYS there to assist me. I cannot say enough good things about Moe Suri. If it were not for Moe's professionalism and open willingness to assist me through, what I thought was an extremely stressful process, I probably would not have closed / finalized my refinancing with Secure One Capital. Austin Beck was extremely helpful and patient with us when it came to the refinancing process. We were new to the process and he took the time to help us understand and guide us to the right decision for us. He was fast to respond when needed which was really important to us when having busy schedules. He was very knowledgeable when it came to the breakdown of the point system and was very fast and efficient with calculating what interest point was most beneficial to us. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I wish there was possibility to give less than 1 star. We started working with them and got a loan estimate in Dec 2020, did appraisal by Jan 15 2021 and then there was complete silence. I kept calling and emailing the loan officer and every-time I got email saying they are working on it, company is being slow but things are going on. I kept emailing every week after the 6 weeks time that was told to me that it would take to close the loan. Then I decided to start calling the head office. At head office, I was told every-time someone will get back to me the same day and then no one would get back to me that day. It was after more than 2 weeks of calling every day that finally Erin got back to me and said how loan officer (Dillon) made mistakes and now my estimate is no longer valid. She said someone else will work on my loan and let me know if something can be done, no one ever got back to me. She finally shared the appraisal we paid for after asking for that for so many days. She also said they will offer me a visa card to excuse for my time and money they wasted and to no surprise, I never received gift card either. Please be aware and do not work with this company. I have done a few refinances now and have never had such a bad experience.

False advertisement and promises. I called them and they said I would get a loan for 2.5-3.1% they ran my credit which is over 800 and said those rates are gone after they told me I could get them. The new rakes are 3.99-4.375% so in 1 day they changed somehow that much after they decided to run my credit. Also the paper they sent me in the mail said 2.5% on a 30 year which already had all of my current loan information on it. Also they knew my current loan is 3.875% but just kept stringing me along hoping I would just commit. This is a very bad company that just keeps asking for you information and then gives you horrible rates. My own bank gave me better rates then this. Stay away from Robert foster. Hope this helps someone.

For the first time in 2020, we ran into some problems related to eligible income that really ought to have been noticed and address much earlier which frustratingly wasted a bunch of my time. I applied and completed paperwork on January 26, 2021 I was qualified for an interest rate at 2.275%. It took 6 months for the processor to approve it. They stated it was because they only had 1 processor with over 30 applications to complete. After all was said and done the interest rate went up and closing cost increased by $1000 more than originally promised. Ended up canceling my refi with them. Most incompetent company and biggest thieves I've ever come across. I truly wonder how they've rate so high?!?! Make sure to do the math to ensure you're not losing your principle or equity before refinancing with this mortgage lender. They aren't looking to save you money, instead they are reaching into your pockets to take what belongs to you!!!! ADDED NOTE: In response to their explanation. It was not a lien, it was a grant which was already applied to the purchase and closing to my original loan. No one was out any $. I still reside in the home. If this had been explained and communicated to me, I would have spared myself the aggravation and wasted time. Your company strung me along giving me the impression that the processor had applications ahead of me. I was not aware that there was any disapproval of any kind on the housing grant side of what you state is the "Third Party's" fault. Poor communication on the side of Secure One wouldn't you agree?!?!
