Money Mart Pawn & Jewelry 42 Northwest Loop, San Antonio

By far this was the best pawn shop experience I've ever had. It didn't matter what position the associate was in, whether it was a entry level sales associate, store director, or the store manager, they were all very kind. There was no normal "pawn shop attitude". They had good prices and were willing to negotiate. They also have me a slight discount for being military! I'm definitely checking this store before any others if I ever need anything from a pawn shop. Thank you so much Alex, Mel, Luis, and Dee! Y'alls attitudes don't go unnoticed. This is to be the only pawnshop I would go to until cash America bought it, I had over a month before they put my stuff on the floor for sale but the manager said since the have cash America's system now that he wasn't able to find my account and that they had already put my stuff on the floor and sold it. I lost about $500 worth of power tools I used for work. Definitely not going back and I hope people that have had a similar experience take the time to leave a review as well.

I Love the Customer Service here such friendly & Understanding Staff. I just got this speaker here a few days ago, works really great. Jonathan helped me out on the selection i got really friendly & talkative witch I love in a customer experience! I WILL be coming back to give them business really recommended!

I love this place! Staff was super friendly, they have some great prices as well. I brought a saw from there and this employee named Jonathan help me out with it. He was super friendly, super nice and made small talk on the side. I definitely recommend going to him. Great place I will definitely be going back soon!

Love the customer service here! Luis is always out and about with the customers greeting them and making them feel welcomed. The staff is always so professional and more than willing to help, and for that I will continue to recommend them to my family and friends for the best deals and excellent customer service they provide!

Great selection of cameras and tools! I went in for a laser tape measure tool and had the pleasure of being helped out by Aldrin R. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. I also picked up old fashioned tape measure just for a back up! Great thing was Aldrin threw in the tape measure, batteries for the laser, and a digital clamp meter! What ever you need check with Aldrin R. and Money Mart Pawn & Jewelry! I will be back again! Thanks a million Aldrin!!!

Freaking LOVE the manager! He seriously helped me find what I needed and exactly what I was looking for. He did not pressure me to buy more than what I absolutely needed and explained all return policies and all layaway options. He was a real people person! Definitely will come back soon. I don't even live close but I trust this manager more than any shop close to me. I can't remember his name but he was tall and had glasses.

Super awesome staff and manager Louis. I would recommend this pawnshop to family and friends. Best in San Antonio. They are really there for their customers. I would give 10/10 also store is very clean and well organized. Definitely would come back again.

The people here are real professional. The employees are legitimately nice; especially the Latina lady with the red hair is sweet and helpful. I bought a pair of adidas headphones which she took the time showing me how they turn on with the Bluetooth and even letting me connect them to my phone Showing me they worked perfectly. They are the best headphones to workout in. I’ve sold here and purchased from here multiple times. I’ve sold mainly stuff from my storage unit and items that I impulsively bought during the pandemic that I realized I don’t have a need for. This place doesn’t have that dirty feeling most pawn shops have. Everything seems clean and organized.

Definitely recommend going to this place! Employees have great customer service especially the employee named jonathan. He helped me find what i needed with great deals, he kept a smile on his face the entire time and was very friendly. Totally recommend him he’s your guy! I’ve been going to him these past days and has been very helpful.

Omg I came to this money mart the other day and Alex and Mels customer service was so great , they really helped me with what I needed and gave me great prices . But on the other hand Jon I think was his name had a really bad attitude idk what his problem was . Definitely will be coming back For Mel and Alex !! Service was great ! Thanks Alex and Mel !

Great customer service! Wide selection, it is still my favorite pawn shop! A year later and Lewis still gets you through this! Mel was awesome, went out of her way to help.

I've been to a lot of different pawnshops with my friends and family and honestly this one had always been in my top 5. I've gotten 4 loans from this location and have always gotten my belongings back after the first month and everything had always gone better than expected until the other day the girl that was helping told me she could only do about a 5th of the amount I asked for on a loan so she said just to make sure that she was going to ask her manager so the manager came and told me that she would actually give me even less for all the items I had brought then she said "you know what these look new sooo yeah we wouldn't be able to do anything for you unless you have receipts", again I'm going to say before this day I have never had any issues, I've actually never had any issues at any pawnshop especially for taking care of my things, just because someone takes great care of their belongings and my stuff looked new she assumed it was and basically kept making excuses to why either they would only give me $25 for $800+ worth of items or why they couldn't do a loan at all and at that point I just knew the manager didn't want my business anymore and it was soo sad how rude she went about it that the 2 other customers that were in there stared at her as they walked out with me and the potential customer that walked out last with me told her that because of how she went about things that they will never go back there and tell everyone they know not to go there because of her. I wish I could give either zero stars or maybe a half of one because like I said before this Money Mart used to be in my top 5 and the male workers and managers are great but that female manager made a big impact not only on me but 2 other potential customers that location could have had. Honestly I hope she keeps being that horrible person she is so that way she ends up getting fired, if I wasn't soo caught up in the moment I would have recorded her and I wish I had. I highly recommend going to either a different location maybe or go to an EZ Pawn, the EZ location on Nacogdoches has always worked with me on great deals, just never go to a Cash America all locations will low ball you and other pawnshops are far better than any Cash America. After I left I went to the Alamo Pawn on Ingram and they offered and gave me $20 more than what I asked for with absolutely no issues.
