This bank has so much potential let’s just start there. Yet, the level of customer service is trash. You can call and get no one on the phone. Go into the branch because you can’t get anyone off the phone and they have all these people in the bank and only one person working for customer inquiries. This is the frustrating part of banking with a bank that serves the community. If you are looking for grey customer service, amazing turn around time for loan request processing and accessibility THIS IS NOT THE BANK. Get in set up auto pay so you never have to reach out to the bank.

I’ve been with this bank over a year and it is the worst. The online app is a joke. They Automated voice system is a joke. It’s really no help they will freeze ur account at the drop of a dime! it’s so many better credit union out there! Good luck

Before I get started with the issues of banking with HMFCU, I want to give a special thanks to Ms. and/or Mrs. Delia Berkley who is a great loan specialist and has helped me every time when I have a question or issue. She really goes above and beyond and actually explains everything in detail with you and helps you to understand what you're looking at. Kudos to you and I hope you continue with doing a great job and being a great person! Now with HMFCU I think we all forget that its tied up with The City Of Houston.... If you know you know. You cant expect tooo much from this credit union when its more of a benefit if you work for the city as it ties into their payroll period and the flow of work. I feel like they are trying to catch up technologically but being with COH as a whole they are very behind, slow and outdated in a sense. The City in general. Overall HMFCU gets the job done and their rates are still pretty good.

Have been with this credit union for years. The automated system is a joke as well as the online banking. I will be closing all lines of business. They never offered any incentives but a life insurance policy. I also bank with another credit union and will handle all my business there. I called to close account and have to make an appointment. The available times does not work with my schedule. Good Luck with them.

Save your self some time and energy and bank with Texas Bay credit union,alot more reliable... Houston Metropolitan FCU is bring ran by 3yr olds.

This is the worst credit union ever. I have literally been with them for 14 years as a default of my first school district. The service is poor. The wait time is terrible. Their practices are antiquated and need updating. Do not open an account here. If you have am account here close it. If I could give 0 stars I would. I feel like I'm in the fiannacial aid line evey time I have to do business with them.

This the worst credit union ever! After banking with this credit union for years, it seems customer appreciation and service have changed drastically! The staff is rude and unhelpful, unauthorized automatic drafts from accounts are processed and the phone lines are trash! If you do have a situation that need to be addressed and just so happen to reach someone over the phone, you’re told the manager will give you a call back that you’ll never receive!!!! The leadership is ridiculous… don’t waste your time banking here!!!

Thank you Angela for convincing me, with your subpar telephone customer service, that I should never do business here again. The loan experience was uneventful and convenient but I would dread calling branch customer service for even the simplest of questions. Plenty of other credit unions out there so steer clear of this one.

My mother has had an account here for years and I mean years. Today she found out a charge was declined. She called the bank, left a message and never received a call back. I’m looking at the account now and the money is there. This is unacceptable! If this keeps up I will have a her banking moved, this is one area I don’t tread lightly on.

I've been a member since 1995 and was great banking here but as my credit score drop so did the help I receive. Now my score has went up to the fair range and I am still paying 16% interest on loans,and higher. My credit with HMFCU is 100% ,never have I been late or miss a payment, never. And they always make you feel like you have to purchase the insurance on the loan. So I guess it doesn't matter if you have been with them 2 days or 24 years. And they say they are the PEOPLE'S CREDIT UNION, FUNNY.

This the worst credit union ever I been with them for two years all I got from them is a loan . I will not recommend them to any one for no kind of service. The staff are rude and don’t help with account I regret opening a account with them I had to open a secondary bank don’t bank with them horrible
