We purchased a new car from Haselwood Hyundai a few months back. Although we’re happy with the car, the buying experience wasn’t something I’ll look back fondly on. Our sale was a bit unique - we were purchasing from out of state and had paid a small deposit on a 2022 model that was in short supply (pandemic, chip shortage, etc etc). The part that left a bad taste in mouth was the experience at the dealership when we went to close the sale. To provide some context, we were going via the Costco Auto program and this was going to be our our second Hyundai purchase in 3 years. Yet, we were told lies at multiple stages that were easy to tell based on our previous purchase experience at a well reputed dealership - the car’s VIN does not qualify for manufacturer rebates, the manufacturer rebates can not be stacked, manufacturer financing would increase the interest rate by 2-5% compared to their preferred banking partner, etc. We were actually provided “quotes” with the higher interest rates. But after insisting to go with manufacturer financing (despite higher interest rate), voila! Everything was sorted - we qualified for rebates, they could be stacked and the interest rate ended up being lower than their banking partner’s. To give a measure of difference, had we gone with their banking partner, we would have paid 20% more in monthly payments. Looking at the other reviews for car sales for this dealership, it seems like these “mistakes” are a pattern and part of the sales strategy. There were some bright spots in our experience though - and they do deserve special mention. The sales associates (Cynthia and Paul) we interacted with were polite, friendly, courteous and helpful. But unfortunately, their qualities didn’t make a lot of difference, given the management’s dishonesty while closing the sale. I would like to think that our experience was an outlier - perhaps the prospect of milking an out of state customer who has already paid a deposit and probably won’t have the time to get a vehicle elsewhere was too tempting, perhaps the pandemic has forced their hand to such strategies. But unless they have a vehicle in short supply that you have your eyes on, I wouldn’t recommend them.

An update: about two weeks later, after my visit to Haselwood Hyundai, I have found a dealer that was interested in selling the car to me, and was interested in getting my car on their lot: My Vehicle was evaluated on the same day I have arrived, I was able to put down the deposit and I was allowed to drive my car for for nearly 4 weeks, the value of my car did not change, in fact it was guaranteed. The dealer that sold me my car was fully aware of the fact that I have sold cars for a living, worked in the dealership environment as a tech and as a dispatcher, and in general worked in the automotive industry over thirty years! They were NOT PLAYING GAMES or telling me that the vehicle I drive will be significantly lower value when I come back to pick the new car (incredibly none of the Haselwood sales people or managers have even looked at my car!?!?)! There are Dealers out there that are interested in making fair deals, the same once that are interested in making a long term relationships.

If you need something in an emergency, use them as they are a dealer and their mechanics are "Hynudai Certified". Otherwise, shop around to other dealers. This one takes advantage of the fact that there are many military in the area that are dumb and flush with mediocre credit to get them into a 15% loan at 84 months. I needed a service in a time constraint so I had to use them instead of my preferred dealer about an hour away. What my chief complaint is that the cost of a standard oil change is $122.03 and services were recommended that I had performed less than 2 weeks earlier. You may get good service, or bad as with any dealer. The staff was polite, but it is just too overpriced for me to go there anymore unless it is emergent work.

This used to be a great place to have your car serviced. Now not so much. My wife and I have taken several of our cars here for service over the past few years and never experienced a problem until recently. The first issue we had was with my elderly mother in law's 2 year old Ioniq, it wouldnt start one morning so she used her roadside assistance to have the car towed in for service as it is a low miles car still in waranty. Upon arrival an employee immediately came out to the parking lot and started yelling at her demanding that she remove the non operational car because she had not called ahead or made an appointment. I didnt know elderly people needed to schedule when their new car should breakdown. Fortunately the tow truck driver went above and beyond was able to figure out her batteries needed charged. He helped her get her car going , with ZERO help from the employees who just kept telling her she needed to make an appointment and get her car out of there. Our next problem came yesterday when my wife called to schedule an oil change for her Genesis, a vehicle still under the manufacturers warranty we have had serviced at this location numerous times. The service department informed her they would no longer perform ANY work on her car, which IS a Hyundai product, because "they dont have any Genesis techs". Not even a simple oil change. I reached out to several managers to try to get a better understanding of why they are just leaving us out high and dry and have not been able to reach anyone nor received response to my inquiries. Be warned, this place DOES NOT care about customers and are happy to leave you holding the bag. We are now stuck having to take the car 2+ hours away from home to get any service work done.

I just recently bought a new Veloster n from hasselwood Hyundai and Cynthia was amazing and the finance manager Jordan Carson went above and beyond to get me in this car that I love. Highly recommend hasselwood.

Never trust the one of the loan officers. Getting screamed after the deal is not what you want as a customer. Never want to visit this place again. This loan officer was the worst one and screwed the image if the dealership.

Our Tucson that we bought brand new from this exact dealership has had the check engine light come on repeatedly. We keep getting the run around from the dealership. Last time they said they'll order a part and get back to us. That call never came and the check engine again turned back on. We do all of our suggested maintenance. My partner went to pick up the car and they said that didn't install the part we had been waiting on because there "was no part" that needed to be installed. But changed our oil, which didn't need to be changed and managed to squeeze $90 out of us, just like the previous visit. The icing on the cake was the sales rep, then asks her to give him a five star review on the link he'll be sending her. And I quote, he said that "his family will greatly appreciate it." The audacity of this person. Well my family would greatly appreciate if these guys did their job and do what they say they were going to do. We live over half an hour away and have to sacrifice days off to work around their schedules. We bought the car because we're on a budget. We're better off now, then we were four years ago when we first purchased. I just feel horrible for the people that don't have the means to afford something of better quality. If you have to buy a Hyundai, go across the bridge to a dealership that values their customers. I have other reviews on Google and don't just get on here to to throw tangents. I have many great reviews on places I frequent.

Amazing experience!! Mike Jones was my sales person. He walked me through the process with no pressure and was completely transparent and took the time to find the best vehicle to fit my needs and lifestyle and stay within my budget. Instead of trying to upsell me he gave me options and took the time to break down each one. It took the anxiety out of making a large purchase. 5 star service all the way!! I definitely would recommend Haselwood Hyundai and VW ask for Mike Jones.

It took multiple times visiting the dealership to complete a recall check, when they said it would only take an hour or two. They caused another engine fault while looking for a previous one. When I tried to contact them about my vehicle status, I wouldn't receive a call back. Overall, multiple visits with little to no update each time really makes it difficult to want to return for future service.

I recently had a poor experience which I would like to share. I usually refrain, but this was outstanding in that regard. My vehicle was there for 2 weeks waiting on parts. I was given a different eta every 2 days or so. I was not offered a complimentary rental despite the fact that one of the repairs was specific to a recall. I had to borrow a family vehicle. Lucky for me, that was an option so that I could continue to get to work. My car was returned to me only after I paid in full-and afterwards, my insurance company refused to pay the full amount of the claim, citing up-charging in parts and labor. Which brings me back to service. When my car was returned, the old, broken parts were not disposed of. My car was not clean, but rather the car parts left in the floorboard of my passenger side for me to dispose of myself. Based on what they charged for labor, the courtesy of clean up would have been the very least they could have done.

Do Not Use this place!! The service department is the worst place I have ever dealt with. We have been using this dealership for over 22 years when it was Parr Hyundai. Bought our first brand new car there! 2001 Hyundai Accent. All of the maintenance for our 3 new Hyundai's that we bought from them, have been serviced there, UNTIL NOW!! The Gross Incompetence we experienced getting my very well maintained vehicle serviced was beyond belief. During there "Inspection" found almost $7000 in repairs that were in dire need of being done. Small problem, half of the things, they did themselves within the last couple years. At least if your going to rip me off for "Needed" repairs, you would look at the ones you already charged me for. And $40 for wiper blades! The same ones from auto parts that are $5. I know, because I just replaced the wiper blades myself a few months ago.

I have known Barry at Hazelwood Hyundai for about 7 years. To say that I trust him is a huge thing for me but I do. Anybody there can explain we go through cars as my husband like to swap often. Barry has helped get us into 8 or 9 Trucks or cars. We have sent 3 to 5 people to see Barry and they all purchased from him and his teams. I don't like to deal with pushy salesmen/ladies and told Barry that. I dont like being treated as just the woman either where the salesman only acknowledge my husband and Barry knows that and warns his sales people that I know what I want and what I can afford just be straight and honest with me will be the way to get my loyalty. I know Barry so well that I know he is going to do right by me and my family. So tonight I went in after texting him telling him I was interested in the blue Chevy 1500. He introduced me to a nice young saleswoman by the the name of Elli. Elli is new to the position but she was extraordinary!! She wasn't pushy asked me what I liked and if there was things I didn't Im very honest some say to a fault but told her I really liked the truck just wished it had steps to make it easier to get in and out of. We talked and found out that her dad works where we work and we were in the same shop small world. If you are looking for a straight forward young woman Elli is your gal. So the part I normally don't like very much signing my life away in the finance office. What an amazing experience I had with Marshay (girl sorry about the spelling my pen is in the truck) and her partner you guys rock!!! Thank you for being real and staying you and not putting on the fake customer service voice lol I will definitely be sending folks your way in the future. Keep up the greatness. Mean't to write this a while ago but figured better late than never. Sales team was friendly and great to work with but Don in finance was the best part of the day. Professional, friendly, and simply made the rest of the car buying process a breeze. Highly recommend Haselwood.

On 2/21/22 I purchased my Hyundai through Nate and worked with Marshea with financing. My car buying experience with them was phenomenal. Nate was great at not being too pushy with the sales tactics and listened to my needs and budget when considering what cars to show me. Marshea in financing was SUPER easy to work with and even put in an extra hour after the lot had closed in order to guarantee I would leave that night with my new car. Absolutely reccomend considering this dealership if you’re looking for a new vehicle!

Service department gave me a quote, I gave it an ok, and when it was time to pick up the car they wanted to charge almost me $200 more than we agreed upon. At best, that’s a total lapse in customer communication, and at worst it’s actively trying to rip people off. Either case is unacceptable and I won’t be back. I can’t recommend this place for service.

After talking to one of the "sales team" online about the vehicle that is about to arrive and telling the team member that I have sold and repaired cars for better part of 30 year and I do not play sales games! And after laying out a fair deal for everyone evolved, I was asked to come down and have my vehicle appraised, I have traveled 40 miles sat through at least 25 minutes of traffic just to get to the dealership and to be told that the person I talked to online and on the phone was not on the premises!?!? She works off site! And what was more curious, the manager she sat an appointment with never made an effort to put in an appearance!?!? Two different salesman approached us and one "took over" an up ( yes I know the lingo!) saying that he spoke to the manager and he was OK to take over. Next I learned that a used car manager could appraise my car, but I was told that the value of my car most likely 0090be much lower by the time the car i am interested in arrives?!? (Of course he did not know that I have been watching KBB assessments of my car and it has been CLIMBING!! $300 plus in the last week alone!), but what I should do is make a deposit on the vehicle that is site unseen "to make sure you will get it" otherwise he is guaranteed me that it would be sold from under me!! I have asked not play any games with me! That was the ony reason i drove 40 miles, butIt would appear that Haselwood Hyundai is no different from any other dealership that "plays games" on their customers!

We arrived to just have a Test Drive and ended up buying a Hyundai Palisade that is just a phenomenal product! Everyone at Haselwood was very welcoming to me and my family. They understood our needs, there was no pressure, and we were given a lot of information to make the right choice. I'm glad we bought here and I will definitely buy from them again!
