    These guys never return your calls when you have a claim. You are better looking elsewhere for insurance. They gladly accept your money every year, but when it you file a valid claim, they will look at every avenue to deny it.

    If you have this insurance cancel now and look for someone else! I have been trying to get my shower fixed for the past 5 months because of a leak and i have been thru 2 adjusters, I have tried to call Kevin Victor who I have been told is the manager / supervisor. I have probably let him at least 5 messages called about 10 times and no response. Adjusters never respond to any emails or phone calls, I have had 2 adjusters quit so far during all this and no one tells me or calls me and the new adjuster never knows what is going on. This is a night mare, I wonder what would happen if you had an issue with the whole house. I will be reporting and opening a claim with the insurance commissioner. This is the worst company i have ever worked with!

    Policy was not rewritten, with no notice, after 8 years of paying my bill on time and zero claims! Found out when my mortgage went up do to mortgage companies forced insurance and I cant get a policy from my other insurance company do to lap in insurance and I've still been paying into escrow for insurance, haven't missed a payment in 8years of having a mortgage. Do not do business with them!!!!!

    It’s a good thing this company is going out of business for homeowners insurance! They shouldn’t have even been in business to begin with! It’s been 7 months since the start of my loss and I am STILL waiting to be reimbursed expenses and the final amount from the loss! NOBODY answers calls or emails! They’re good for nothing people!!!! I wouldn’t even trust getting home warranty with them! They have some nerve sending me advertisements for that when the first claim in 17 years was an absolute NIGHTMARE!!!

    I’ve been trying to get in touch with someone about my claim for over a week now after leaving several of messages through voicemail and email.. NO RESPONSE this is ridiculous!! The theft to my home happened in early July and it’s now close to September I still have not been reimbursed.. Worse company I’ve ever dealt with my entire life LITERALLY

    I only wish there was less than 1 star ,,,,,I have had a policy with this co. for a few years .And I didn't receive a renewal notice so I called Customer service or A lack of customer service. They were very rude and acted like I was a bother or inconveniencing them by asking about my renewal. WELL YOU WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT ANYMORE ON BOTH OF MY POLICY'S. I hope Larry Davidson reads this

    I wish I could give them 0 stars. It has been 2 weeks that I am trying to reach someone who works at the claims department. NOBODY PICKS UP THE PHONE. Before I was getting insurance, I read the reviews here and I was thinking how bad could it be and chose these guys because they were cheap. DO NOT MAKE THAT MISTAKE BECAUSE WHEN YOU NEED THE INSURANCE, THEY ARE NOT THERE. THERE IS NOBODY TO TALK TO. THEY DEMOLISHED MY HOUSE AND LEFT AND NO NEWS FROM THE INSURANCE COMPANY, CAN'T REACH ANYBODY TO TALK TO. AGAIN DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE, DO NOT BUY THEIR INSURANCE.

    Absolute worst insurance agency I have ever dealt with. Their website is a mess and they do not make it easy to contact anyone if you are having problems. Paying a little more per month for a different company is by FAR worth it!

    Is there zero stars????? I have had a claim for 6 months, they have gone from adjuster to adjuster, NEVER return phone calls, NEVER return emails. Currently sitting here , first in que for 18 minutes trying to get a hold of yet another supervisor. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS INSURANCE ! I AM IN CALIFORNIA, I HAVE A CONTRACTOR WHO IS OWED 13K, I AM OWED 7K! Last week they sent a letter to drop me, as they won't be writing in California any longer. I HAVE NEVER HAD A WORSE EXPERIENCE!

    You're not very good at updating your information they're sending people to wrong information and customer service is very lousy I would not recommend using this insurance company. I've had nothing but problems and I've had him for a long time almost 20 years they no longer write insurance for Washington

    This is absolutely the worst home insurance company I have ever worked with. My house flooded and they had the audacity to insinuate that I had done it myself. I was made to feel like a criminal. On top of that they underpaid the construction company by $705.00 that I ended up paying to not have it affect my credit. When you call for assistance you are placed on hold for HOURS as in 4 hours to get through. RUN from this company as fast as you can. I hated to even give one star rating. It is more than they deserve.

    My family and I suffered a fire at our home and First American has done nothing to help us. We've been homeless for almost a month now and they won't release any payments to get us back on our feet due to an internal error. I'm not sure why we as the homeowners are punished for mistakes made by the carrier. My family and I lost all our belongings, our 14 year old Maltese Poodle, and a roof over our head. We are struggling to get by and it's just a shame that no one at this company has any empathy for people suffering from a loss. I'm sure they wouldn't want to be treated this way if it were their home they just lost.

    Terrible, me and my rental agency tried calling all day Friday and Monday and still no answer. My email sent out also had no answers even though it's 48 business hours now. Terrible customer service, terrible company. DO NOT GET INSURANCE FROM THIS COMPANY. I'm done dealing with this company for the same issue every year because they only make it a temp fix when I wanted a permanent fix by just adding my rental company on Additional Interest. It's like they can't read English or something.

    they did an inspection of our home a year ago didn't tell us they were doing it and they are now not renewing our insurance because of an inspection from a year ago done without our knowledge we hadn't even lived in our home two days before they came out and did it and didn't tell us until a year later they. took pictures without our knowledge so we hadn't even had times to do repairs of the damage the previous homeowner did to our property. they also claim they can't do anything even though we have done the repairs and are still getting rid of our policy they are a joke and a scam that illegally inspects your property when you aren't present. and they won't tell you until a year later.

    Horrible horrible. If you actually need to make a claim, expect it to take an absurd amount of time. It's been over six weeks and they have not approved their independent insurance adjusters numbers. I have recieved no responses from emails I have sent or phone messages I have left. Worst costomer service ever!!!!! If I could give negative stars I would. Don't use this insurance company and if you're a current costomer find a new company asap, you do not want to deal with this sketchy company and their incompetent employees.

    First American casualty company is the worst insurance company ever, I can’t get paid out and it’s been almost 2 years, my house flooded and got mold, and they don’t even want to finish paying ServPro for repairs or for my personal items.
