My husband and I came to EQ taxes and found they were pretty busy. The experience was overall really good. We checked in quickly at a kiosk. The waits were brief. We had a tax specialist confirm our identities and review our paperwork. They were professionally prepared and given to us for our record. The price is a good value.

It was my first time coming here and Mila was very welcoming. She let me know everything I needed to know from the jump. Their process as well as the current waiting time. She gave me the option of submitting my documents and leaving. She gave me a call when they were ready to take me since I live close by. Gina K. is an absolute professional! This place has potential, but unfortunately they play the favoritism card. I was here waiting since 10 am and 5pm came along and yet to get service. While people that just arrived Ed because they are friends get called in to be helped. When you claim you have been here first. They don’t care. It’s sad to see how they discriminate.
Thank you for your review. We don’t find you as one of our registered clients, we assume you are speaking on behalf of your mother. As you may know, tax season is a very busy time of year, and our wait time is longer than usual as we have walk-in and online clients. At EQ Tax we have a system to prevent clients from “skipping the line.” Our system shows your mother’s arrival time as 12:37 pm, not 10:00 am. Also, as per your request, the CEO of our firm completed your mother’s return, even though we clarified that the wait would be longer. This meeting happened before 4:00 pm, not 5:00 pm. Honestly, we are surprised by a one-star review, considering your mother referred us to new clients and in appreciation with gave her a discount on her taxes this year. When clients choose to wait in the office, our data entry must process the documents before the tax preparer can finish the return. We value our clients, which means that when we meet with them, we take our time, thoroughly looking at every detail of the return and answering any questions they may have. Alternatively, clients who do not wish to wait at the office can drop-off or email their tax documents and be called to finish the return over the phone. We are sorry that you did not have the best experience at EQTAX; we are always improving our processes and optimizing service times. We value your business, and we are confident we can offer a more positive experience in the future.
