I was able to get clear to close within 2 weeks of my offer getting accepted and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Can’t say enough about City Creek Mortgage!! I had been working with an agent up until the moment it was time to lock rates, but I didn’t know if the rate I was just given was competitive. I had seen the City Creek signs on the freeway and decided to call them and compare just to be sure. Jordan answered the phone and, although he was likely juggling several clients that day, he spent a good hour with me discussing our unique situation (we actually had two loans needed that were somewhat connected with two sets of clients to approve) and giving me rates and closing costs right then so I could compare. The rate he gave me was lower significantly than what I had been quoted, and his closing costs were lower too. From that moment, he and Victoria and his whole team rolled up their sleeves and worked tirelessly to get it done for us-they were rockstars. Due to the complex scenario with multiple parties, when we’d an obstacle, they were determined to find a solution and push through. They were kind and helpful and so genuine. As a first time homebuyers I wanted to be walked though the steps to buying a house. I had little to no idea of what Was going on. I was lost in the process and communication was not the best. I had to reach out to my loan officer and assistants multiple times to see if they needed anything. Most of the time they needed a form or something signed and wouldn’t tell me until I asked. I even asked my loan officer if there was any news on closing and he still hasn’t responded to this day. They would just send me blank papers of things I’ve never seen before and say I need you to fill this out. I had to ask what it was for multiple times and they still were really bad at explaining what it was. I had to figure it out on my own. I eventually closed on the property with the help of the people at Silver Leaf Title.

Fantastic work and follow through, Nancy and Pete clearly communicated with the entire way through this process and met/exceeded all of the expectations I had. I was referred to City Creek Mortgage and all I can say is WOW!!! Took about 4 weeks total (!) to get seamless (dare I say fun and unintimidating?), stress-free, out-of-state home equity loan completed! Everything! From paperwork to finances deposited! Everything online was simple and easy to follow, one or two phone calls to make sure everything up front, understood, disclosed, answer any questions. Got me a percentage rate, house payment AND cash out amount other lenders said was “not physically possible”, “no matter which way crunched numbers”. Our previous mortgage company was a nightmare to work with and Bayli was patient and helpful in helping us get through the red tape. Our only disappointment was a lack of communication at the beginning. The very first and only night I talked to Troy all accounts were wanted to consolidate were listed, and agreed upon. When it came to the closing one large account had been left off. Meaning the extra funds we planning on using for much needed home repairs had to go towards the account that was not included. As we said before our previous mortgage company was awful so when we had the quick opportunity for the closing the loan we took it. But, because it was so quick we didn’t see the mistake until closing and it was too late for changes. Overall City Creek Mortgage is a great company to work with. We have used them before and will again if the need arises.

I've refinanced a few times and bought a new home twice since 2014, and usually use City Creek to do so. Last year I went against my better judgment and used a different company to refinance my house. It was a horrible experience. Numbers kept changing every time we talked, they required more documentation than I anticipated (based on previous experience), and I couldn't help but feel like they were scamming me. The new loan was far more expensive than they promised, with a lower interest rate, and took several weeks. I decided to use City Creek Mortgage to refinance into the new low interest rates in February. From the start, the process was smoother and easier. Everything was done through email and text (my preference), with online document signatures online. I don't think I even had to talk to anyone on the phone. 😂 It took four weeks and the final numbers were nearly exactly what I was told at the beginning. There were no surprises at all. It was seriously the most smooth, easy, and fast refinance I can imagine. If you're considering going with the sales guy who knocked on your door at 6 in the evening, just know that there's a reason he has to go door-to-door and City Creek doesn't. And maybe call them instead.

First, it was easy to get a rate quote. I did shop around and very few would even quote me rate. Second I was able to lock my rate immediately and I know it was the lowest rate possible. Third, my loan was a fairly easy refinance but I couldn't close the loan for over 60 days due to a clause im my old . They locked my rate with an extended lock period. Rates went up but I was able to close at the lowest rate. Finally the process was easy and the processor and loan officer kept me updated sufficiently. So my experience with City Creek was excellent!

I am extremely impressed with how efficient and professional City Creek Mortgage is. I have refinanced twice with City Creek in 2020 as the rates just continued to fall. My absolute favorite thing about them is the feature in their website that lets you see the available rates and the corresponding closing costs for each one. I'm not aware of any other company that shows that without having to ask for it. Once the refinances began the process is so smooth. Everything can be submitted online which was great for me. I had a terrific experience with City Creek Mortgage. I was looking at other credit unions and banks at the same time. Most had higher interest rates. One of the credit unions that we were interested in told me that they could not finish the mortgage in the time frame I needed it in. There was still two weeks left before I had to close. That was very frustrating. However, City Creek Mortgage said they could finish the mortgage in the remaining time. They also had one of the best interest rates. They worked very hard to make sure it happened. I was contacted late in the evening the day before interest rates went up 3/4 of a percent. They knew the interest rates were going to go up the next day and wanted to make sure I got locked in before that happened. That small act of calling me in the evening saved me thousands of dollars. The next time I buy a home, City Creek Mortgage will be at the top of my list to call.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars instead of 5. I had a difficult situation with a new construction home that kept ending up getting delayed as well as some communication problems with the builder. Instead of City Creek Mortgage acting like a normal lender and being hands off with the situation, they were in constant communication with me and my builder, doing everything they possibly could to rectify the situation. Although we had to extend our rate lock, Neda and Carlin went above and beyond to do everything they could to make the process as easy as possible. We're super happy with the refi we just did with City Creek Mortgage. We have a difficult mortgage situation because we're both self-employed artists with multiple income streams, so it wasn't as simple as sending over the last 2 years of tax returns. City Creek Mortgage was able to get us from our first call with them to funding in about a month. This has been one of my best mortgage experiences hands down. With rates having been dropping for the last several years I have refinanced with some frequency. Due to a glitch on my phone I would not get notified of new voicemail, so after about 2 days they started texting me and we were able to do most communication via text. This was a fantastic experience with City Creek. I had been looking to refinance with my old mortgage company and they wanted 4-5k to refinance. I was a bit surprised. So I had seen City Creek Mortgage on a billboard and went to their website. They have great options depending on what your looking for. City Creek helped us refinance our mortgage in February 2021. They were fast in providing estimates. They were quick to respond to all of my questions and concerns. They walked me thru every step of the way. They even sent out a free notary to my house to sign closing documents after they had to reschedule the closing date. And to top it off, they surprised me with an even lower interest rate than I was expecting.! I will definitely recommend them to everyone.

Alexis and Jessica are so GOOD being good. From the beginning, these ladies have been so helpful and swift. I'm a seasoned ex mortgage originator and Alexis has always made sure to answer all my questions, even when I asked about Fannie Mae guidelines and how CCM treat specific types of homes we were looking at. They were able to finance our logged cabin out in the middle of nowhere. Jessica was ALWAYS on spot with answering our calls about closing and made us feel comfortable with the sensitivity of timing the funding of our loan. I had a panic minute, should I say lol....and she just took my panic and turned it into peace. I would recommend them to anyone. *********** ****Had to change my review a couple months later after closing but not taken the time until now (.03-17-22) we ran through some issues and called them. Nobody could help us and nor did they want to, and they never called us back. These guys will lend appropriately but need to pay special attention to the collateral. Learned a lot and spent thousands of $$$ - will not disclose the issue here because of OUR privacy but just know they just want to close the deal. And a tip here....the fees are cheaper with a c.u. so shop around.

This was my first time buying a home. Devon, Nicole, and Robyn made everything flow smoothly and quickly. We had a smooth, seamless refinance with City Creek Mortgage. We have refinanced a few times and this was the best experience we have had. Jordan was our Mortgage Planner. He was with us step by step through the entire process. He was prompt and responsive whenever we had questions or concerns. The company uses a simple, secure web portal for uploading required documents. Most required signing is done electronically. My wife and I were able to sign our final documents at a convenient time in our own home. Our closing fees for this refinance were lower than any of the others we have done, and we got a great rate! What a first class experience refinancing with City Creek Mortgage! We needed to refinance after only 2.5 years in our house to get out from under our PMI. City Creek delivered and then some ultimately helping us drop our interest rate .75% and lowering our total monthly payment by $300! I was put in touch with Jenna on my initial call and she took great care of us during the beginning of the process. She was patient with all my questions and even when we started playing with all kinds of different options in our loan. Once we got far enough along Samantha handled our case and she went above and beyond keeping in constant contact with me and even staying late on a Friday to make sure we got our appraisal results on the day she said we would. She went to bat on our behalf more than once between the underwriters and appraisers making sure that the process was timely. The whole refinance process was only 3 weeks from initial call to closing and probably could've been faster had we not gone down a few different avenues. The whole time we were made to feel like our case was the top priority. I would recommend using City Creek to anyone who needs a new mortgage or a refinance. They sincerely care about their clients and doing the absolute best for them. EDIT: We just refinanced again for the second time in less than a year. The City Creek team is still outstanding. Jenna and Carlin guided us through the process without a hitch. We closed less than two weeks from initiation. I don't know how they manage to do it, but they always make us feel like we're the only clients they've got. I cannot recommend them enough.

I am FLOORED. Jaw on the ground. At first I was hesitant to reach out to City Creek for a mortgage on my new construction home b/c it seemed from reviews that they specialize more on refinances rather than mortgages, but when I was connected with Lacie Spencer, that perception changed. I was just shopping initially, but Lacie quickly showed me that I could have a lower rate AND a lender credit, saving money now and in the future over the local lender my agent recommended. If money is all you're worried about, you can stop reading here--you can expect to save money using City Creek. But there's more than that. Let me list it out for you: - Lacie was brutally honest and transparent with me during the whole process. - The "paid by salary instead of commission" thing actually felt different to me. To my first point above, I could tell Lacie had no reason to bend the truth just to earn my business. - The same day I first contacted Lacie, I thought I had more time to get my loan together, but then my builder and the agent surprised me with a closing deadline only like 10 days away. Again, Lacie was so frank with me that she said, "Look, I'm as fast as they come, but that's not enough time. I'm not going to put you at risk of losing your home. Have the local lender do it; maybe he can leverage his connections, making it a safer choice for you." So she was honest enough to actually turn down my business. - But then I found out I could extend closing a few more days (so like 14-15 calendar days total to close), and when Lacie knew she had more time, she didn't miss a beat. She IMMEDIATELY got my loan rolling, and she kept that thing moving so fast I could feel the heat from a state over. Further, she did this knowing full well that I could end up choosing the other lender. She didn't care, she's on salary, so she just wanted me to have my options open. She put me first, and at great personal sacrifice of her time and City Creek's resources. - She helped coach me through the breakup with my other lender! Ha ha. - 90% of my communication with Lacie was over text, and I pretty much had her full attention--she always responded very quickly. (If your experience is different, it's probably my fault--she is likely prioritizing the last-minute mortgages [like me] over the slower-paced stuff.) - Some folks might not like this, but Lacie shows emotion. I appreciated knowing that someone was feeling my frustration with me, and feeling my excitement with me when things went well. - In the end, we were ready to go on my insanely short closing schedule! ... but my builder wasn't even ready to close on the date they insisted we close by!! Lacie was able to extend my rate lock for another five days for free, and luckily, we closed before that lock expired. Then let's talk about Robyn Spencer, Lacie's amazing team member who got the loan all tied up and packaged with a bow. My favorite part about Robyn is her happy attitude and her attention to all my questions. We must have gone back and forth with the Closing Disclosure three to five times with all my questions about the numbers. Robyn didn't stop until we had all the numbers right; the final Closing Disclosure (the one I signed in person at the title office) exactly matched the draft she sent me via email earlier that day. Nothing sketchy, not trying to sneak numbers in, just total transparency and attention. I also love that Robyn picked up the phone to call me, often. Hearing her voice and her smile always made me feel confident that she was behind me and ready to assist with whatever needed. Lacie was the PERFECT start to this insanely hectic process of securing a loan in so little time, and Robyn was like the icing (and ice cream) on the cake, so sweet and just what I needed to finish off the process! I am going to recommend City Creek, particularly Lacie and Robyn, to anyone and everyone who is buying a home, friends, family, and enemies.
