Great experience! When other lenders told me they couldn't refinance my loan right now due to some restrictions, or they just weren't doing cash out refinances at all. I heard most refinances are taking 2 months, these guys got it done in 2 weeks! Kenzie was great and super helpful! We had a great experience with InterCap Lending!! We’ve worked with Erin Hendricks since 2009 on two different homes and refinances. He’s always been great to work with and has been a good friend. This time, we refinanced our house and got a great rate of 2.99%. During the process, we received emails requesting the information and we were able to sign most of the documents on their portal. Then we met at the title company for the closing and that took about 30 minutes. All in all, I will definitely go with them again in the future.

Nikki, Amy, and the team at Intercap we’re absolutely spectacular throughout the entire lending process! I have no personal connection with this team but they treated me like a VIP. I’ve purchased multiple homes over the years and I’ve never had such a smooth process in buying a home. We were looking at getting financing through this company. We worked with an agent that got us approved. When we found a house though, this agent ghosted us. We would try to reach out to the agent to continue working with them and this agent would reply with very confusing texts that seemed like they were playing with us and making it seem like we were not important as clients. This agent refused to answer our questions. They pretended they were working on our application but we never heard from them again. Would not recommend.

Me and my wife had the best experience. They communicate very well. And everything was done in a timely manner and worked around our schedule. Highly recommended.

I talked with 2-3 different groups and am so glad I went with Intercap Lending. They (like all lenders) were swamped with requests given the lower overall rates but they were still incredibly responsive, they produced the lowest rate, and they moved incredibly fast. I'm confident no other group could close as fast as they did, which is the only reason we were able to finalize on our new home. Choose Intercap, hands down!

Intercap was great to work with. They were clear about everything from required documents, rates, closing costs, etc. Steve went over numbers with us more times than I can count, as well as every other document we wanted to better understand. He even came to closing at the title company to make sure we felt comfortable with the loan and if anything else was needed. We have never had the lender show up to a closing! From start to finish everyone at Intercap was very professional, helpful, and thorough. We will be recommending them to everyone we know.

The experience we had with Vicky Blackie and her team was the absolute worst to say the least. She is unorganized to the point where she was requesting multiple docs for the 3rd, 4th and even 5th time and when we would tell her we already sent it, sure enough they "over looked it". Following this, we were set to close on our home June 1st (a Tuesday). We got an email from her on a Saturday afternoon 2 days before our closing (holiday weekend) that there was something that came up on the file and our closing costs went from $28,000 to almost $80,000 in the blink of an eye. What she was "just now seeing" was something that had been on our credit report for well over 3 months (an auto loan) and was seen by other lenders as well that we ran numbers with in the past... This then showed us that she in fact had none of the file in line and was scrambling last minute to try and meet our closing deadline that she said was doable. Within that email she said she was "going out of town and will not be able to answer" AKA stating she doesn't work weekends, which any QUALITY Loan Officer does to prevent any situation like this and to make for a smooth transaction. Fast forward, we talked and she said we will now need to ad my mom to the loan, extend the closing to the 9th and we will be good to go.We do exactly this and again, 2 days before closing we get a similar email stating she will need an extension and things won't actually work out this way. After this huge mishap I was then put in a situation where the builder requested a total of $10,000 of earnest money from me that went hard at the time of deposit so I could extend the contract and have another lender take over. We then proceeded with our other lender and the transaction is set in stone and good to go with no outrageous amounts due at closing like Vicky said there would be. Vicky and her team are a prime example of Loan Officers who don't know what they are truly doing, scramble through the transaction and cross their fingers things work out. They will over promise and under deliver just to then waste your time and act like they cant do anything. Save yourself not only time, but money along with multiple headaches and go with any other lender you can find. And that is coming from a full time Real Estate Agent.

Mike from Intercap Lending was phenomenal. He is very knowledgeable, has a lot of experience, and keeps you in the loop at all times. His communication was fantastic. Weekends, holidays, not the 9-5 M-F restrictions you get anywhere else. He would be the ONLY person I’d recommend for home loans or refinance.

They get two stars instead of one because they did actually get the loan done, but I feel as though they have some less than stellar business practices. Specifically, after we locked the rate they tried to tell us pricing changed. They also tried to tell us the “points” calculation to buy the rate down was based on the purchase price and not the mortgage amount (we had a significant down payment so this made a big difference). I called them out on both and threatened to go use a different bank when they came clean and honored what was agreed to. It was an attempt on their part to try and make more money and no doubt a less savvy borrower would have fallen for it. In addition to their poor business practices outlined above, the loan officer was rude and condescending. She spoke to me as if I was a 6 year old child. They do have an app that seems pretty slick, but it seemingly notifies you of things prematurely and the loan officer isn’t always in agreement with the loan status the app provides. Would not recommend.

This was my first time working with Intercap lending and I was not disappointed. Corey, and the rest of the Intercap team were able to get us the best terms on our refinance compared to the several other lenders we were talking to. Not only was Intercap the best option financially, they were also amazing to work with throughout the whole process. They managed the process diligently, and easily delivered the funding by the date we targeted at the beginning of the process. I recommend Intercap lending, and especially Corey Husted to anyone looking to finance or refinance a home. The rates are phenomenal, and the service was even better.

So I guess this is a secondhand experience... Our buyers had intercap lending as their lender. If I could go back, I wouldn't have even considered their offer if I had known all the problems that would've come from Intercap. They needed 5 EXTENSIONS in order for our home to close. 5. It was an entire month after the original closing date. They didn't order the appraisal on time, they needed to redo their paperwork multiple times due to errors, and they just refused to do their jobs. Our realtor had to call every day, multiple times a day, for anything to happen. If it weren't for our realtor, I'm sure intercap would've still been at step one, our buyers would've lost their considerable sum of earnest money (which we kept increasing due to the need of the many extensions), and we would've been relisting our house. Our realtor told us she has never had this many issues with any lender EVER. Save yourself the trouble, and go with someone else.

Steve, April, and the rest of the team were amazing in the job they did to help me refinance my home and get money to pay off my other debt. Steve is always so personable and was willing to do whatever it took to help me get the kind of loan that I needed for my family. Other loan companies could only help me with a part of the loan but not everything that I needed. Steve enthusiastically said let's find a solution that meets your needs. He worked with my schedule to help make things happen, and kept in touch regularly to let me know the progress of the loan. I was always so happy to talk to him because of his positive attitude and "can do" approach. I would highly recommend Intercap Lending and will be using them in the future for my next refinance.

Guy was amazing to work with. We got pre approved within a day! He was on top of the ball through the whole process. The fastest, bestest refinance we've ever had. You need to work directly with Wendy Reynolds as she absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. We cold called her a year ago asking about refinancing our house, and on the phone she was able to quickly tell us the outcome if we were to do the refi. At that point in time it was not in our best interest to refi after running the numbers...and Wendy was the one to tell us that. She instantly won our trust. For a company who claims they are so focused on customer service they sure as hell don’t care about what this potential customer might think of them. Highly recommend. I had a refinance quote from City Creek and was planning on moving forward with them, but decided to get one more quote from Intercap. We worked with Tayler Hendricks at Intercap lending as we purchased our first home. One of the first questions we asked Tayler was what the benefits were with choosing Intercap Lending v.s. getting a loan from our bank or other lenders as we saw mortgage rates were lower through other lenders. Tayler told us the biggest advantage is that Intercap Lending doesn’t sell their mortgage loans to other lenders during the life of the loan. We valued that seeing it as an opportunity to build a relationship with Intercap Lending and chose to acquire a loan with them for this reason. We are writing this review because less than one month after we closed on our house, Intercap Lending sold our loan to another lender. Tayler never called to inform us that our loan was sold and when I followed up with him he told me this can happen on occasion and there is nothing that can be done. We felt the information Tayler gave us in the beginning to answer our questions was just a sales technique used to acquire our business with no intention to hold our mortgage loan. I would not recommend Intercap Lending.

This was my first ever experience getting lending like this, so I have nothing else to compare it to. Introduced to Intercap by Derek, I was excited for him to do our financing, he is kind and a high caliber individual. When he couldn't officiate my loan I was bummed, but it turned out that Bryon seemed to be cut out of the same piece of fabric. Everyone I worked with at Intercap was nice and competent. The process wasn't my favorite. It was a rollacoaster of urgency, so many phone calls and signed paperwork that seemed obsolete the next day. I felt like it wasn't as surgical or streamlined as it could have been. My situation must have been unique, I have a hard time believing that everyone goes through that. All in all, I'm glad for the loan and feel like Intercap did their very best. I'm grateful for all the work that was done on my behalf. Thanks!

I am trying to buy a new home and as a new client I had a lot of questions so I called BERENICE and she NEVER RETURNED my calls. I had to called her for her to talk to me. Berenice told me that they take a long time to get back with you because they have so many clients!!! I didn't feel value at all!!! Worst place ever!! Take your business somewhere else if you want to experience good customer service.
