Check City S State St, Salt Lake City

It’s a shame you can’t leave less than 1 star. The staff at this store among the most dishonest and rude a person can find. All check cashing stores are predatory, but to openly steal additional money is egregious. Stay away!

I like check city. I've always beentreated with respect. I always know what I owe, when it's due, and when it will be paid off

Had a small loan, like $300.00 and when my direct deposit wasn't in my account the morning of December 1st they sent my account to their collection dept. Had they waited another 2 hours, the money was there. So I paid it completely off, applied for another loan the following day and was denied. I wouldn't suggest or recommend this place to ANYONE!! Go to the Dollar Loan Center instead.

I would drive anywhere in the valley just to go to this Check City. Ricardo helped me immensely when the other valley stores didn't want to put in the effort. Everyone at this store is professional & genuinely kind.

I love check city there so kind friendly and courteous. I loved the fact that I can go there pay a bill send money get a money order all in one stop and even load my netspend card. I remember one day I left my wallet at home i was sure I had it but I didn't and I needed to cash my paycheck and they were so amazing letting me know I didn't need it they had all my info in the computer and I had never been to that check city before they really saved the day. Since then all my family members when they come to visit me in Utah yaw check city when they need to pay a bill send or recievw money or just come along with me for the ride. Thank you for amazing fast great service to me and the community.

I had a loan through the location on 2100 South. I called in on a Tuesday to pay my loan off via eft. I already had an automatic debit coming out and the remaining balance was $120.72. I checked my bank account for 2 days in a row and the $120.72 was not withdrawn. I called back on Thursday and asked if the amount was going to be withdrawn. Apparently the remaining balance had never been submitted for withdrawal from my account. Lucky me, I had to pay interest for the days the loan was outstanding and didn't get withdrawn due to error on the part of a Check City employee, seems dishonest to me. I'll get a loan somewhere else next time.

Fast efficient staff. It would be nice to see bank like percent of interest. This is for emergency type situations only when speaking of loans.

I had always come and get some cash went I’m tight spot from check city loan. This loan institution is as good as rockstar. I love their employees they are helpful and listening to your problems and find solutions. Check City recommendation is to anyone looking to borrow cash for your short solution.

They asked how many stars I'd give. Well, when you charge literally THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST LEGALLY ALLOWED INTEREST RATE, how do you really expect your customers to feel exactly? My backside hurts, if you get my drift. So funny that a predatorial lending company is worried about its image.

I was in need of cashing a check for $775 which walmarts money center couldn't cash the check bc the check reader couldn't read the numbers. So that left me desperate to get it cashed. I stopped at check city and they cashed it after I filled out an application and charged me almost $25 to cash a $750 and a $25 check togethe . I cant complain, sure it was a steep rate but at least I got my check cashed!

I found the staff at Check City very friendly,affable and professional.I was treated with respect and they made the loan process understandable and very clear about the whole process.I would defiantly do business with Check City again and would recommend them to my friends.Thanks Check City!
