I was desperately in need of a vehicle. I didn’t know what to expect. I sat with Fay and she was fantastic! It was an amazing experience. She made my visit very comfortable. Everything was explained clearly and I was able to have my worries solved! I could feel they cared!

I have been a customer for over a year. I never paid late nor missed a payment. My partner was hit in a car accident and we have been being harassed constantly about payments and the insurance check. I also was threatened to have my account sent to collections and as of now I have perfect credit no derogatory marks or anything so that would be devastating seeing as I’ve always made my payments and on time before the accident!!! I called and asked if they can not harass us seeing as I’ve been staying in contact and relaying important information concerning the vehicle already plus I emailed the screenshot showing the check was sent by our insurer already. The female employee on the phone told me no they are not going to stop harassing us till they get their money. MY PARTNER was then contacted by Jeremy the senior account manager and it was once again about an insurance check. Then, once my partner mentioned harassment and explained the situation and our good standing, Jeremy refused to talk to my partner any longer because “it’s not concerning my partner” Yet, Jeremy is the one that got my PARTNERS email and contacted MY PARTNER concerning MY account. Wow! If this is how good standing, reliable customers who have been injured due to being hit by another car are treated then I’d hate to see how customers who actually don’t pay their bill are treated... I was in a bind and went against the bad reviews of MANY with carhop. I was even going to try to finance another vehicle through them as a last resort but after this ordeal I’m actually encouraging everyone to stay far away! From the looks of it carhop doesn’t value good customers. I regret using carhop services but even more I regret going to this location and dealing with employees who will drop their customer service skills for a possible few extra bucks. Disgusting and disgraceful.

I was a little leery of buying at car hop. Knowing the interest rates are extremely high. But, with that being said, they are taking a risk lending you the money. My credit score was poor. So you have to find someone to take that risk of lending you the money. However, as long as you stay on your payments, everything works just fine. If you start missing payments, they will be on you. Not in a bad way, but communication is KEY. As long as there is communication, they 100% work with you to keep you driving. My account manager is Apryl. I cant be more happy with my dealings with Apryl. She is very understanding and got me to realize they aren't out to demolish your credit score. As long as there is communication, they work with you. I gave 4 stars, I don't ever give a 5 star. I believe there is always room for growth or improvement to get to that 5th star. But I am very grateful for all that Apryl has done for me and my credit score has actually shot up to a respectable score now. Thank you so much for your hard work Apryl, I know I'm not the easiest person to work with but you're a rock star Apryl!! Thank you soooooo much

If I could give it 0 stars I would do not buy from this place . They sold me a car that needed had a simple mis fire refused to cover it even tho they knew it was under warranty finally the engine crapped out. Had to fight them to get it fixed then when they did they only covered the minimum. They like to tell you one thing then change the rules or just give you the run around till they get what they want. They will bully you to get your money .worst service I see they only respind to the the posts that favor them and ignore the rest . I am going thru chemo and they are threatening to turn my car off since i got sick and got behind on my payments

The costumer service here was amazing. We came in thinking with our streak of bad luck that we would be leaving empty handed. Fortunately this was not the case. I left with the one car I didn't think I would approve for. Ben our salesman was a very professional good-hearted guy. I felt very positive vibes coming from him. Above all, I left with a good quality vehicle and a payment plan that's perfect for me. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have bought a vehicle from Carhop in the past, in fact I still own it and it still runs well. I went to this location with good expectations but the vehicle I was interested in needed $1100 more for a down payment. The vehicles I was told I qualified for and the three I test drove were not clean and they all ran very badly. I'm not a mechanic but even I could tell that there was something wrong with all of them. I miss the Carhop that was in Inver Grove/West St Paul.

Good place to go if your in urgent need for a vehicle and have blemished credit, but the interest rate is through the room. If you go this route,ake sure to utilize it as a change to better your credit.

this place sucks! i was told there mechanics look the car over before they put it on the lot, what they don't tell you is that they only look at the motor and transmission , they do not look at sway bars or brakes or calipers, the car they sold me, they sway bar links were loose , back breaks were shot , front right caliper was seized , but they do not think all that is a safety issue. oh they will offer to buy the parts (easy way out) and you pay for labor, but more than likely the labor is close to $1000. what they should be doing for the customer is having there mechanic list everything that is wrong with the vehicle so that the customer knows what they are getting into. i would not recommend this place to anyone if anything i would advise people to stay away from carhop at all costs!

I have never in my life had this kind of experience before from a dealership! Will start with Faye she is what you find when you look up customer service! Next I was expecting a long wait for approval NOPE not here 1/2 hour yep that's right form time I walked into the door to picking out the car I wanted test drove it parked in front. They will sell you a lemon, however they do fix it with the car shop. It may take a while, I needed a new transmission in less than a month of having the vehicle, and I have to wait over a week to have my car fixed. This is unfortunate however. Most things on my vehicle do not work. Please be careful with buying. They charge high prices for not working vehicles. Everything doesn't work on my car, the lights, the door, the tires etc. Just madness

I overall had a really good experience I was there for maybe an hour and 45 minutes in total and was able to drive away with a car with smaller payments and the last payments I had to make. Tara was super professional and upfront about everything going forward she’s just really nice and even when they called me and told me I had to come back Nicole was nice enough to bring the paperwork outside so I didn’t have to get out and go back in the building and all of that a really good experience overall!

Update: this is now my third time dealing with carhop and this time they were unbelievable the staff at the maple wood location blew me away especially @Kelly she went above the call of duty to help me when my previous car caught fire she diligently fought for me and helped me get into another car at the time when I feared the worst they came through for me and I will always remember and never forget what they did for me This is my second time dealing with carhop my first was not a good one I put a car in my name for someone and they wouldn't return it to make a long story short even with having to deal with that they still were willing to work with me again and give me another chance in my time of need

This is my second time purchasing from CARHOP. The first time was in 2016 and I used my car until 2019 and gave it to my little brother which he still uses until this day. I got a Ford Edge today and it’s in excellent condition. What I love most is the ability to pay the car note directly from my paycheck which helps build credit.

Abby was a great help. Customer Service skills on point. She was polite and did everything she could do to help me. I needed to gather a few more items before we could proceed, she let use the computer to get what I needed. It was extremely COLD but she didn’t mind showing me several vehicles. The Process was rather quick. I applied online within minutes I received a message. Got an appointment slot,I had most of my paperwork when arrived. You fill out a short application and then ready to find a vehicle. You can test drive them and would recommend driving on the Hiway. I found my vehicle Read my contract and signed. Another nice thing you only need Liability Ins. I think it took about 5hrs total that’s including me test driving several vehicles for at minimum of 25min. They only accept money orders for your first payment NO CASH OR CARD.

I was helped by Abby S. About a month before I actually got a vehicle. Even then she was very helpful, Thorough And explained everything to the T and to where we know what we are getting. A lot of dealers I went to do and did not explain everything as Thorough thorough as Abby Did. It was pretty quick getting a vehicle and super easy. It also helps with building credit! So now a month later, I came back looking for something cheaper with lower miles that would be reliable for work and some what decent. I actually found a vehicle that exceeded my needs. I ran into repair and payment issues. Working with Apryl, I was able to keep up with payments, get the repair done AND keep my vehicle. My experience with Apryl, Abby and CarHop has been fantastic so far. Would highly recommend the Maplewood location for sales and service issues!

DO NOT WRITE A REVIEW until you have been in the car for the first month. The cars they sell are horrible and they even have a hard time finding loyal mechanics to work on them. Its not worth the long term issues. And Nicole lies to make profit, she doesn't care what your reason for needing the car is as long as she can sign you up for auto pay for a junker!

Literally the best dealership I’ve ever been. They are very helpful figuring out what’s going to fit in your budget but also make sure you know it’s your choice as to what car truck suv you want. They are also forgiving when life happens and you can’t make a payment on time from my experience if you just stay honest and be responsible for vehicle they can help you figure something out. You’ve just got to be responsible. Also even though you may see a car out there that costs more than one you’ve seen somewhere else you gotta think like carhop is going to help you with your credit and they’re going to accept you no matter what your score is even if you don’t have a score. Plus the other things I’ve mentioned above. Something I didn’t mind because I know if id gone somewhere else to get a decent car I would be paying anywhere from $1000 and up just to take it off the lot and I know like others people who need to go to carhop if we’re being honest, you might not have that or more in your savings account. Anyway hope this helped some of you make a good decision on what you wanna do.
