This place blows. The employees are all rude. They'll lie to you about how much something is worth hoping that you didn't do your research first. They'll offer you a ridiculously low offer for your item, and then sell it at a 500 or more percent profit. The extremely high profit margins make up for the fact that this place probably does not do a lot of sales due to their unwelcoming environment and shady way of doing business. Also, a lot of these positive reviews are fake purchased reviews. Notice how a lot of the reviews have a weird name and only one review under their account? Do yourself a favor and go across the street from america. They're friendlier, more knowledgeable, they give you way more for your item, and they actually understand how the pawn business is supposed to work.

I've been shopping at excel pawn since 2001 and these guys have never failed to please. Its small but they always manage to have what I'm looking for. Great staff and you'll always feel welcome. Oyeah, and the 65inch 4k roku smart tv is amazing. Keep up the good work. Customer for life...

Derk, was so helpful when me and my husband came in to pawn our tv, we come to this pawn shop all the time and he is always so helpful with anything we bring in, he always greets us with a smile and that’s what we like to see. Was in a very tight spot due to a very unplanned quickly approaching surgery and needed a little extra cash for gas, parking, etc. The man whom I worked with was very kind and understanding and helped me get a little bit more out of the loan, (it is only for 4 days, but of course they can't be positive of that.) I mentioned having seen all of the great reviews here and am very glad I made the decision to work with them. The store indeed is very neat, clean, and organized. Marcus and the staff of Excel are the real deal With 25 years of experience they know that during a tough economy they are so vital to people needing to sell or borrow to get cash. Marcus also knows that people judge pawn lenders by their honesty. I bought my wife a Logictech sound system and it sounds fantastic. I was pleased by the helpful staff offering to help carry the heavy sub woofer that i returned and bought a very fairly priced Klpsch suround sound system. Only later did I realize it was missing a remote Not a regular remote but a multi chnl matrix THX conversion box. Not expecting much days later w receipt in hand determined to see if it was behind the register , it was not but i found one on Ebay. It was custom made for 4.1 i mentioned it to Marcus and to my surprise he sincerly felt bad and told me he would cover my costs! A week later true to his word reached into the register to cover the replacement. Thats how you keep customers coming back! I've done some buying and borrowing with several other pawn lenders the experince has always left me dissatisfied and feeling taken advantage of.
