Capital One Bank Reviews

I just drove 60 miles round trip to this bank to make a credit card payment so it wouldn't be late, only to be told they only take cash for credit card payments, not a check. Really? A bank won't take a check? The lady told me I could (1) go out to their ATM and draw out cash, (2) mail the check to the home office, or (3) call Capital One and have them do a withdrawal from my checking account. If their rules are this ridiculous, why would I give them my checking account info to another bank? What's in my wallet? Not a Capital One card from now on!

Chaotic, is the only way to describe the atmosphere inside. It looks like they're going for low sress, coffee shop like environment but ot just results in a inappropriate design for a bank. There are no tellers or any clear line or place to wait. Customers were visibly frustruated and confused. There was order in wich people were serviced and some just walked out. The employees were doing tjere best, also visibly frustruated. Just a bad system for aa bank.
Hey Bryan - People are banking in different ways and meeting those needs now and in the future is at the heart of this change. While tellers are no more, bank associates are on hand to answer any questions that may cross your mind. Feedback is key, though, and we'll get this in front of the right teams. ^AJS

I’m now on attempt six of trying to contact LITERALLY ANYONE so they can stop declining my transactions with zero success. Any time we have needed help, we get nothing. We’ve got 7 total accounts in our family and they’re all about to be moved to another bank that maybe employs actual people that can do anything other than sit in a branch and tell you to go online. Update- still getting hung up on and NO HELP. This place is pathetic.
This is never the experience we aim for, and we apologize for the dropped calls. Give us a buzz at 1-800-655-2265 so we can set things straight.^AS

Capital One product is getting worse. I used to bank with them a lot, but I have been slowly putting my money elsewhere. I still have my main bank account there because it is too much hassle to redo auto draft into a new account with another bank. Capital One bank structure has change for the worse in which they want you to do everything by ATM: cash deposit and checks deposit. They got rid of their tellers, and want you to do the work of a teller. My cash deposit money got stuck in the machines, and so there wasn't any eye witness to say I am telling the truth, except for camera which isn't enough. Back in the days, if you do a large cash deposit there is an eye witness ( two people ) and it only took 10 min for deposit. Today, it took about 45-50 min to do a cash deposit and then I have to fill a claim report to try to get my money back because the money got stuck in the ATM machine. I was late for work of course.
Thanks for taking time to share feedback with us. We'll get it in front of our leadership team to review. Thanks. ^AB

Customer service is as bad as it gets. Rather than provide assistance, personnel informed me to try another bank. ATM not working, no money on hand and not willing to help with transaction. These people need to get out of service industry.
This is truly never the experience we aim for, Becky. That's for tagging us in on this so we can get this feedback in front of the right eyes.^AS

You cannot get more cash advance than regular ATM. limits, on that location. Don't lost your time if you need more than regular ATM machine.

None of capital one branch (any branch) or the whole company doesn’t deserve getting 1 star, the interest rate is very high, If you have them for your auto loan and it’s been at least 6 mons refinance with other bank before you paid off. After you paid off they’ll not do any about your title or sent/email any letters (docs) about your title.
Thank you for contacting us. We will be happy to look into this further for you, please give us a call at 1-800-946-0332 between the hours of 8am-7pm (CT). ^AJS

Today was my first time walking into a Capital One Bank. I have a checking account with the bank, but I didn't have my debit card and I needed to make a withdrawal. First, Crystal approached and asked how she could help me. I told her my reason for visiting and she presented me with being able to get a cashier's check for the amount I wanted, and I could go and cash it. She advised me that normally there is a $10 fee for a cashier's check but that she would waive it for me. While the cashier's check was being printed, she invited me to play a round of putt putt golf after I answered an easy question about banking. She offered me a bottle of water, as well. I won a couple of Capital One trinkets after sinking the golf ball. I understood when I opened the checking account that Capital One had gone nontraditional with the branches. I had no expectations of being able to get what I needed done today, so i was pleasantly surprised with the level of service I received from Crystal. She was wonderful! I don't know that I'll ever be able to say that I had a fun bank visit ever again! Many, many kudos to Crystal. If I need service again, I will go back to this branch.
*golf announcer voice* We now go live to the Georgetown Putt Putt Invitational where Melissa is about to take her shot, difficult lie here but she's keeping her wits about her, let's see how she does. *sinks putt* *golf clap* What a beautiful shot, this shows you exactly why Melissa plays at this level—incredibly deserving of those Capital One trinkets which, as we all know, are the green jacket of this tournament. ^NW

Want to re issue a cashiers check? Be prepared to wait almost 2 hours, listen to employees argue in circles, make mistakes, move slowly and not care how long you wait.
