    I've been a member at Canopy almost my entire life and have had the BEST experiences with them. They truly care about your story and don't make decisions just based off of your credit score. They take the time to get to know you and genuinely care about your success - in fact, they celebrate it with you! Here's a pic of me in front of my amazing Credit Union after I paid off my car loan. I'll be a loyal member for the rest of my life! Thanks for everything, Canopy!

    I've honestly never had a better experience probably with any type of business as I did with Canopy credit union. I applied for a personal loan, I received an email from a loan officer or worker, Kate Taylor, and I received the quickest, most professional, nicest sincere person I've ever dealt with. Because of her, I'm switching from my current bank to Canopy. I look forward to many years of great service and hopefully Kate never leaves. Thank you! ,, ~Eric Johnson~

    What was once a trustworthy institution, has become a nightmare over the last 3-6 months. Customer service from this credit union has really suffered. While there interest rates on small loans like auto are great, they don't do any mortgage lending in house (3rd party), they have no business lending and they dont work with 1099's or self employed individuals. I've been a member for multiple years and now I will be moving to someone else for banking and borrowing. If they don't find a way to be more competitive I can't see Canopy surviving much longer P.s. To address the reply I just recieved; This has not been the case then entire time I have been attempting to conduct business with Canopy. Your bankers have explicitly stated that self employed and 1099 people don't have access to lending services. This has been said by over 7 different employees of the course of 4 months. You employees also have started that Canopy DOES in fact partner to a 3rd party for mortgages. So if this is not the case, your employees need improved training.

We're looking internally to identify who you've been working with and understand why you've perceived the service experience has declined as that's certainly not the experience we want our members to have! I do want to mention that we do quite a bit of mortgage lending including 30 year mortgages in house. We also serve many members who are self-employed and/or own small businesses. We apologize for the misunderstanding on those items! Thank you for being a long-time member.

    This is the worst place to bank Ever. You walk in to deposit or withdraw cash no real bank teller will help you they direct you to the atm. My debit card never worked from this place unless I ran it as credit. Constantly being denied at places because of the stupid card. The online banking is terrible and you have extremely limited access. Don’t waste your time with this cu. They made everything severely unpleasant. The atm live teller feature is so stupid what could take a few minutes and end with a pleasant interaction turns into a huge ordeal just to access your money.

    I have been a member of Canopy Credit Union (previously Spokane Federal Credit Union) for over 20 years, and only recently under new management have been having some major issues. This credit union does not put their members first and has taken on a larger corporate framework. Their staff is rude and is not interested in helping their members. It is unfortunate that this institution chose to make what was once a great credit union, into a grave disappointment.

    Sara and Ryan at the Francis branch are the reasons we are moving 50% of our finances to canopy and we have only been with them for a month! Their focus on customer service is incredible!! It’s the first time in years we’ve felt any care from a financial institution and we have accounts with USAA and other military institutions!!! Thank you so much for your time and attention!!!

    I signed up on-line to become a member. I received an email from Sara Cooley and a voice-mail from her. I explained to Sara my intentions for banking with Canopy, as recommended by a few family members, and she heard every word. Sara has been very helpful and has made this process painless and easy. I work graveyard hours and she did her part in a timely manner and I commend her for that. I am beyond grateful for her assistance with getting me setup with Canopy and off in the right direction. I will be recommending Sara C and Canopy to friends and family for banking.

    My wife and I have been so pleased working with Canopy Credit Union, especially when it comes to getting help building our credit score. The fact that they offer free access to their financial advisor really blew us away. Kurtis has gone above and beyond to help us understand our credit report, dispute any false records, and get our score back on track. We are so very thankful to have our account with Canopy!

    Sara Cooley provided an excellent experience in helping me with an auto loan. At first I applied to refinance a vehicle that I already had a loan on with them. I then decided to trade my vehicle in and she made the process seamless. She answered all of my questions, and promptly, and was very clear in her explanations. I also felt no pressure from her to add on any warranties or other extras. I ended up switching my banking over to Canopy and am glad I did.

    Will NOT go here again. Do not recommend. I had an account here for 20 years. I put tons of money in to savings for my honeymoon. I moved one time. It was a couple months before I went in after I moved. I went to pull my money out for my honeymoon. NOTHING! I spoke to someone on why/how my money is gone. She told me I moved and they had to pay for all the postage tying to “get ahold” of me and they got numerous statements back. I said postage doesn’t cost over $500!! They never called. Never emailed. She said “I’m sorry there is nothing I can do”. I asked to see the statement I signed in agreement to take my money if I don’t respond. She said I do not have that available. I asked her to get me a copy of the policy. She left the booth and came back a short time later and said we can call you when it’s available. They had nothing written up. They send one statement a month! Only a few months went by after I moved. They also took my nephews saving and my sisters saving due to “inactivity”. Its a SAVINGS account! The only policy they had was you have to have at least $5 to keep the account open. They also did this to my mom when she moved out of town but kept an account here for family funds. My mom used the credit union for over 30 years. Do not go here!

    I wanted to make sure that Canopy gets the praise that they deserve for the efficient, fast, very professional and stress free service! I was recommended by a friend to refi through them because the big mortgage company that I was currently going through never got back to me even though I called, left a message and I even left a request for help on their website? Canopy got a hold of me in less than 24 hrs and made everything as convenient for me as possible and at my pace. Thank you for not making me feel like a number. You guys are awesome!

    If I could write this review with 0 stars I would. I am so dissatisfied with the service I have received. Nothing but problems with my account and my card from the beginning. My card randomly deactivated 3 different times, at varies points and a new card would need to be issued. I would not be aware until a bill would try to post and I would receive a non payment email (this is at a point where a couple grand was in my account). Also, the straw that has resulted in the end of our business relationship is... when I set up my account, I requested that any charge that would send my account in the negative be declined. I did not want overdraft protection as if the money isn't there it should not be spent. I specifically asked Alex who set up my account if there was any fees attached to not allowing charges to go through if the money isn't there. She gave me a resounding NO. She said " it will just decline the charges instead of sending you into overdraft". I was relieved. Guess what???? She lied and this credit union is a scam. I pay very close attention to my money, available and current balance. I make sure what I spend is factored into my current balance, as available is usually what is there before pending charges hit. Their system is rigged to hold onto all pending and wait then they take the last few charges and slap them all together instead of when they are supposed to post. The result..... $78 in overdraft fees. Done.

    You will have problems with this credit union, they have randomly shut off my debit card before the expiration date before , I just got my car / wallet stolen and it took me 2 days to cancel my card , there was no 24 hour fraud hotline. (The one on itheir website won’t let you cancel your card if you don’t have the entire number) I waited the weekend so I could go in and get a debit card Monday and just got an email that they would be closed until Wednesday for training and all branches are closed . Well I’m going to cancel my account on Wednesday if I can’t manage to do it sooner. Don’t use this credit union . The tellers are very nice and they have been really nice once I finally talk to someone but I guarantee the credit union will end up disappointing you

    I went into canopy credit union in spokane valley to work with Chandy Robb for my financial matters. The service and willingness to work within my means to meet my needs were exceptional. Chandy had patience with my questions and took proper care to ensure i was able to meet my needs. In the future i will refer friends and family members to canopy credit union
