Ameris Bank N Main St, Gainesville

I have been banking with a Ameris for about seven years! Pam is amazing, so sweet and Pat has been great help over the years. I will continue to bank with them for personal banking/bill pay. If you need a personal bank where everyone knows your name, you will not be disappointed! I do not however recommend them for business banking simply because of the this crazy time change, with no late drive-through option, how am I ever going to deposit my money. One of the best Banks I have ever dealt with. They have helped make or business better. The online interface with our management system is easy and fast. They really care about your success as well as your businesses success. They also never try to sell me something that does not work for my particular situation. This is a great branch with a great set of People working there. Thanks so much!

Terrible bank. Never get a loan from them, wasted so much of my time and couldn’t keep any of their info together. Kept asking me the same questions over and over again. Would never recommend this place to anyone

Pamela Terry took care of my needs to open a checking account with Ameris Bank. I came to Ameris Ban because the other bank I was using seen to not be too concerned with my special needs for a checking account for my hobby; - I am a pottery artist. She answered all of my questions and she understood my concerns for fraud protection as for I do a lot of my hobby business on line. She is professional, cordial and genuinely customer service oriented. I consider her to be an asset to Ameris Bank!

I think it's sad that although my entire family has had accounts with M&S, now Ameris Bank, they will not (or even offer to charge me to) notarize 2 pieces of paper. The bank is empty, you have a notary speaking with me, yet that service is "only for account holders." When I lived in Melrose and they were my only option (as is the case with my family), I used them. However, I changed banks once moving to Gainesville for archaic rules like this. Offer to do it and while doing it, ask "Is there a reason you dont bank with us?" Or charge me a nominal fee for the hassle and offer to rebate ot of I open an account. Use the opportunity to tell me why I should do business with you, instead of confirming the reason i don't. Funny. BBVA Compass did it at no charge and no questions asked.
