Western Title & Escrow Company Sw Coast Hwy, Newport

We purchased our home a few years ago and the escrow officer helping us was wonderful and walked us through the tedious process of the paperwork. The previous day our son had been involved in a major accident so we needed a little extra time to fully understand the process as our brains were a bit distracted. Our escrow officer made it clear and easy to understand and was thorough from start to finish. She even checked in on us afterwards to make sure we didn't have any questions and to check up on our family. She was professional and sympathetic and helped make our experience there stress free!

I worked with Luci, Heather, Jason & Amanda on some refinancing docs. They were all great too work with & very professional. The building & lounge area was clean.

Where to begin. Do Not Use Them if there is another title company available. The person handling our title left and no one picked up the ball on this. We bought a manufactured and the land was transferred but the house itself did not. I was assured it would be handled. I finally got our bank loan officier involved. The loan closed June 14, 2017 and title was not received to our home until February 2018. That is incompetence!!

We unfortunately used Western title for a recent real estate transaction. They made multiple mistakes and ultimately delayed the closing of our house. After the sale got a call saying that the commission was wrong and we had to send them a check. They really have their heads in the clouds but that’s what you get in Newport I guess, poor service and incompetence.

This Company provided the worst customer service that we have ever seen. Unbelievable. Investors beware, We are going to stay away from this Title Company..

We have worked with Western Title and Escrow for nearly 20 years, beginning back when there was an office in Waldport. They have handled nearly a dozen real estate transactions for us, and each one was done seamlessly and professionally. They were right there when there was a title dispute and made sure we had full legal representation. We have always felt that our transaction was the most important piece of business in the office. Would recommend them without reservation.

We purchased a lot for cash and our realtor placed the 14 day escrow with Western Title. Late afternoon on the 11th day we received an email requesting completion of a Buyers Statement and informing us of their privacy policy. Western is owned by Fidelity National Financial whose privacy statement is onerous. PLEASE read it to see the extensive information - both personal and financial - they want to collect from you. Calling the opt out line gives you a general information line in Jacksonville FLA with no opt out option in their menu.We paid their $150 cancellation fee and moved the escrow to a local competitor and were totally satisfied.

The property seller used Western title. (After a 30 year career in the industry, title insurance business is a scam anyway, perpetuated by the mortgage companies. There are so many exceptions written in, to protect the title company, that they really don't cover or insure anything). As the new property owners, we keep finding out about easements on our property, to the neighbors, that were not listed on the deed.... surprise! Lazy researchers don't use them.

Zero accounatbility for a lost check; zero apology received. Not the first time we experienced issues with WT. Best to avoid

Very poor response to clients needs, agent's request and non professionalism in process. Used 2 times ...never again!
