When I called Wallick and Volk mortgage to ask some simple questions, I wasn’t even ready to commit to a lender at the time. But my call was transferred to Genna, and she was so friendly, communicative and professional that I instantly knew there’s no chance we’d be taking our business anywhere else. I’m the type of person that likes to ask a lot of questions and gain all of the context surrounding a situation, making sure I’m getting the best deal and reading the fine, print, etc. Genna handled all of my questions and requests with such patience and seemed legitimately happy to help me understand all of the documentation and loan options. She was incredibly communicative and responsive, even on weekends and other times where I felt bad bothering her she was pumped and ready to work with me. I’m a first-time home buyer, and one thing I learned was just how crucial it is to have a team of LOCAL and well-regarded people in your corner and advocating for you in a competitive market. The selling agent will look at the lender and the buying agent involved in a buyer’s offer, and will instantly know whether they can count on these people to get the deal done. And, needless to say, every seller wants a buyer and buying team that will get the deal done. If you go with an online lender such as Rocket Mortgage, you’re immediately at a huge disadvantage in a strong seller’s market. Sellers and selling agents are going to go with the people that they know personally and can trust. Genna was so well-connected and well-respected that she was reaching out to people left and right, putting in a good word for us, and clearly that had a huge impact in our favor. I simply cannot overstate how great the entire buying and loan process was because of Genna and the team at Wallick and Volk. Please note that I am officially labeling you as crazy if you read this review and still choose to go anywhere else.

Chris and his team were fantastic to work with.
