Absolutely atrocious in committing to their clientele. Had planned to buy my son a vehicle through their inventory and after several conversations with the representatives, after a few days, we managed to negotiate a deal to where it was a win-win. As I drove an hour and a half, after having two conversations with the dealership on the way, they neglected to inform me that as I was pulling into their lot, that two additional customers had been considering the vehicle as well. Managed to sell the vehicle to another customer after several negotiations and verbal agreements on the phone. No sense of true authenticity nor respect for their consumers. Do not go here, they will waste hours, if not weeks of your time.

Singleton Taylor was the salesman that met with us & ultimately sold us a S-60 Volvo hybrid vehicle. We found a Jeep online(Autotrader) that we were interested in. The only issue was we live 8 hours(500 miles) away. I called and talked to Singleton and explained that. He was extremely helpful with my requests for extra pictures, etc. Tyler then called me to answer some questions I had about taxes. Tyler answered all my concerns. We drove up, the Jeep was out front, ready to go. Singleton sent us on the test drive after making sure everything was perfect. Needless to say, we purchased it that day with a seamless transaction. Everything about buying my new XC40 from Volvo of Fredericksburg was seamless. The staff I worked with: Sabrina, Tim, Tyler, and Michael, were professional, knowledgeable, personable, and respectful. At no point in the process did I feel pressured or uncomfortable, as I had previously felt when buying cars in the past at other dealerships. A combination of chance, price, and patience brought me almost 200 miles from home to do business with Huber Motors/Volvo Cars Fredericksburg. I appreciated the straightforwardness in pricing and presentation of the vehicles on their website, and the professionalism of the staff that took care of me during the the buying process (thanks Tyler, Sebastian)! All of my questions regarding the vehicle were answered, and the test drive route was *perfect*. Overall worth the trip, and the 5 hour trip home in a very comfortable S60 bucket seat. Volvo of Fredericksburg is an excellent dealership. The sales rep, Sebastian, was knowledgeable, professional, patient, and there was no pressure whatsoever. He called around to obtain the vehicle that I wanted and I got every feature I asked for and very quickly, too. Once the vehicle arrived, the financing process was seamless. Sebastian then took the time to walk me through each and every feature of the vehicle which I love love love! It's solid and I can see over the dashboard and hood. It is a luxury vehicle in every sense of the word. I wouldn't change one thing about my sales experience there. It's my first Volvo and I'm sold! I'm a customer for life!

I had a good experience buying my car at Volvo of Frederickburg. Sebastian, Singleton, Sabrina and Tyler were all great. Mike Holmes, service manager made things easier for me too. I have purchased two new cars from them in the last five years. Part of my decision to go with them was the service you expect from a luxury brand with a local dealership. The initial sales process is excellent, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. On the sales end you are promised loaner cars with service and a valet pick up service. In my experience the loaner cars are never available and the valet service does not exist. Last time I was promised a ride home (I live 10 minutes away), it took 45 minutes to arrange and I had to go to the desk multiple times to ask when my ride would be available. When I purchased the car I was told to drop in anytime for a free car wash, when I try to do this it was not available, presumably due to Covid. All in all, my experience is more on par with Toyota than audi or similar, fine but far from the high end promised. The coffee is way better at least, people are friendly. As a follow up, I did send an email out to Mr. Clark with my contact information as suggested, it has been 2 weeks without a response. That response seems more about managing public perceptions than customers.

By the looks of the 5-star reviews, you can expect to have a pretty good experience if you're buying a car here. But if you end up bringing that car back here to their service shop, you'll find the honeymoon over pretty quickly. I scheduled a tire alignment and an engine light diagnosis for my XC60. I already knew that the code for the light pointed to the catalytic converter. There's several reasons for this code to pop up, and what I needed to find out was what the actual problem was. When I rolled into the shop, I was immediately told this was going to take a long time because they were very busy. This was lie #1. I'd just seen their appointment schedule online and you could still schedule any time you liked all afternoon. Then I was told at least I'd get a complimentary clean. This was lie #2. There were literally signs up everywhere that they weren't cleaning cars due to COVID. I should have taken this as a warning and just driven away. After making me wait for 2.5 hours, I was told that they had taken it for a little drive and that my front suspension needed to be replaced. Also, that there was an engine code and I needed to replace the catalytic converter. So, I started asking questions. What had they done to diagnose the catalytic converter? Was it an oxygen sensor? Was it likely that the converter was dirty? Did they look at the temperature differential across the converter and watch the O2 readings while the car ran? No, they hadn't. They simply read the code off the computer, just like I had, and decided I needed a new catalytic converter without any investigation. No "diagnosis", so to speak. So, I asked what I was paying for. The lady became absolutely belligerent at this point. Accusing me of wanting their guys to work for free. I didn't expect anyone to work for free, just to produce something of value. Her words verbatim, “you’re paying because you came to a dealership!” Not to mention that they had wasted 3.5 hours of my day (including drive to the dealership), just to spend 20 minutes driving my car and 10 seconds hooking up a code reader. They avoided performing the alignment (on the basis of the bad suspension), and then were upset that I actually expected someone to spend the hour I was paying for investigating the issue. She asked why I didn't just take it to Jiffy Lube, and I asked why the dealership was providing "Jiffy Lube level of service". I brought the car to a dealership service center because branded service shops supposedly train their mechanics on that manufacturer’s cars. If any mechanic should be aware of common issues, problems, or how to diagnose a Volvo, it should be a Volvo service center mechanic. That's what I'm willing to pay for when I roll into a dealership service center. Not for some lazy bum to charge me an hour's labor to confirm that the check engine light is, in fact, lit. Now granted, it's an old car. It may very well need a new catalytic converter. It also may need something much simpler, but these guys won't bother to diagnose that for you. I considered giving 2 stars because at the end of the day they didn't charge me for anything. But they still tried to guilt/shame me all the way out the door. “Our guys worked for free this time!" Right, and where’s the evidence of that work? Next time, they can pay me for my 3.5 hours and I'll pay them for their 20 minutes. So, if your Volvo needs service I recommend going literally anywhere else. This service shop apparently recommends Jiffy Lube.
We appreciate your feedback, and we apologize if there were any misunderstandings. When we ran the diagnostics on your vehicle there was/are three possible causes per Volvo fault tracing. The first is an air leak in the exhaust. This was checked and confirmed there was no leakage. Second is faulty front 02 sensor. If the sensor is faulty, a code would be present for the sensor, but functionality was checked by monitoring the reading while introducing a vacuum leak, this was confirmed to be ok. The third is the converter itself. This was determined by process of elimination to be the fault. As to limit amount of people in our dealership we have suspended curtsey washes at this time due to covid-19. But we still do perform service washes on vehicles being serviced in our dealerships. This rating is for the mechanics at the service center. My concerns about my car were dismissed. I paid for wheel balancing that did absolutely nothing to fix the issue. When I emailed people at the dealership to explain my experience, no one ever replied. The only reason I gave 2 stars was because the guys who check you in and give you a ride are very nice. Went to the dealership they had a Jeep I really liked, I test drove the Jeep prior to Purchasing, Advised of a shake in the front end. The sales person told me he would have it aliened. Made the purchase..... few days later after to driving it I felt something was off looked at the Tire pressure gauge there was 65PSI in all four times Mind you should have been only 35PSI. I advised the sales person he said oh Mechanic may not have known.... REALLY!!!!!!!!! they should not be a mechanic, if you cant read inside the door for the tire pressure. just went and had to pay to have the tires balanced due to whom ever they paid to put a lift in never did.. I love my Jeep but worried about who they have working at the Volvo Dealership.......

Amazing, friendly and great staff. We went in looking for a 2015 Ford Fusion we found on line, it ended looking better in person than the picture (usually its the other way around). They worked with our budget and I walked out an hour later the owner of the vehicle. While I was waiting for the completed paperwork, every employee there had walked in an introduced themselves throughout the process. Made us feel like more than just a sale. My wife and I decided to come to Huber Motors/Volvo Cars of Fredericksburg looking for a Volvo. We came to look at a 2019 Volvo XC60 T5 Inscription. We had come the day before Thanksgiving to look at it and test drove it alone with just my wife and I. We ended up returning the day after Thanksgiving and we purchased the car from Sebastian. He answered all of our questions and explained a lot. He even went over the car and all of its features ensuring my Wife knew how to use them, AFTER the sale which says a lot about this dealership. They didn't have to do this as they had already gotten the sale. This by far was the best car buying experience I have ever had. They even had a bow and a sign with my Wife's name on it waiting for us. The Sales Manager was involved the entire time and they communicated promptly and often with us. I'm in Seattle area, I worked with Jake Laribee remotely through the process. To be honest, making a car purchase from 2800 miles away is risky for both of us. My friend bought a XC90 from them and recommend, so I decided to pull the trigger. And Jake make it happen very smoothly. Because the nature of long distance and time difference, it took longer than usual transaction, and Jake was always ready to help.
