VIP Pawn Shop S State St, Orem

For the modern TLDR types - Excellent little shop, great CS, walked out with an AK and electronic ear pro at a great price! Long-ish Review - Excellent little pawn shop that I always check out whenever I'm in town. Despite its size, I seem to always find something cool there. This time, I called ahead first to see if they had any used mags for sale and unfortunately they did not. As I was heading back down to NV I was about to skip the shop. Another good thing about them is the fact they are open until 7 PM while most gun and pawn shops close so early at 6 for some reason. Despite it being 6:50, I said screw it and went in planning to be real quick and apologetic as I also know what it's like dealing with most last minute customers. Fortunately the guy and lady (sorry didnt get their names) were both friendly and they happened to have a good AK for an excellent price. Since I am a NV resident with NV CCW it was too late for them to call in for background check. I came back the next day early and they didn't open until 10:15 (my only negative against them). Filled out the 4473, and the NICS lady couldn't get ahold of NV DPS. (Any NV resident who has dealt with firearm transactions knows how slow DPS has been since beginning of COVID.) So the guy told me he will call me back in 30 minutes, cool with me as I needed to sell some old uniforms at Uncle Sam's Surplus down the street anyways. True to his word, he called me back within 30 minutes, got a Proceed and I drove back and picked up my new AK along with a set of Howard Leights that were also at a great price. So if you aren't a lazy millennial or Gen Z type and made it this far, I highly recommend this shop! I'll be coming back again next time I make the trip up to the Salt Lake area!

went in there earlier tonight and ran into Antonio from Barter Kings, he was with his staff behind the counter and they had some questions about the corner need tool I had bought. Every time I go it is a nice casual vibe. It's nice to see an Owner that has interaction with customers. Great job on customer relations Antonio, I will be a loyal customer for sure!

Seem a little inexperienced. Brought in a brand new Burton setup. Boots, board, bindings for a quick loan and they offered me $80 on brand new mint gear. LoL was looking for $200 quick loan on over 1k of brand new gear. Really nice guy though just didn’t realize what he had in front of him. Had to decline.

This is the only pawn shop I will go to now! Besides from being extremely fair with their pricing, they will also work with you when you are late or cannot make a payment. The key is simple, communicate with them! In my experience they have gone above and beyond to ensure I do not loose my property. I love how selective they are with what they take into the shop. Thanks to that they have some of the best selection of goods in Utah County. I highly recommend checking them out!

Worst place! Bad customer service! The guy Antonio is rude and lied about a leaf blower I bought, saying it works well. He had it priced very high knowing the defect of it and sold it to me saying it just needed gas and to let it run for a while. After taking it home and using it, it never idled good, it never revved up and seemed like it had no power. I took it back in and asked for my money back but he said he will only buy it back for half of what is was bought for after telling me he knew that the guy that brought it in, in the first place put just regular gas and not the right oil to gas mixture needed for it to run well. He still sold it smh! Not a good reliable, honest business I do not recommend.

WOW! WOW! WOW! where do I start! This is one of the best dang pawn shops I've ever been to. Not only are they a good pawn shop. They have the cutest damn dog I've ever seen. The owner is just a big looking teddy bear!! Sweet and professional he's not the best looking but man can he give some good loans. I would highly recommend this pawn shop

This is hands down the best Pawn shop in Utah County if not the entire state. The employees are the best you'll ever find the owner is respectful and extremely helpful and always gives you a far price on everything. I purchased a tool from here and it didn't work out the way I was hoping and he let me bring me back and even gave me a better more expensive one at no additional charge just because the first didn't work out. The other owner Lotty is one of the most honest and genuine people I've ever dealt with. He is so knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. I never feel like I'm being sold here it has always been a relaxed and mellow experience! I highly recommend coming here hands down the best shop around and they blow their competitors out of the water, just by their customer service alone they're the best and they only sale the best quality of items. I will never go anywhere else!

First time customer to this shop but I will for sure be going back!! Great experience! I genuinely have hated my other pawn shop experiences and usually feel low balled or taken advantage of... I had a game system I wanted to get rid of and the owner of this place was super nice and incredibly fair! He was willing to go up on his price until we were both comfortable with the number... If I ever have to pawn (or purchase) anything again, this will be the place I will go!!
