UFirst Credit Union W 500 S, Bountiful

WARNING: Ufirst means U first, NOT you first! Tellers st the branch are friendly, but the credit union is horrible. Instead of rebranding, how about providing good customer service? I’ve had my account with them for years but at the first chance they got to steal my money they took all they could.

I am so SO disappointed with UofU credit union. I’ve been a customer for a few years and recently due to Covid, things started going downhill and my job has been very inconsistent. I walked in to the bountiful branch today asking if I can get a $25 OD fee removed because I was not working and had $16 in my name to deposit. The teller called his boss to try and get it waved and told him my situation (which they can clearly see on my account that my income is barely ANYTHING the last few months) and I was told since they waved a fee once this year that was my one time courtesy. I know this is typical but I am BAFFLED and disgusted that they aren’t being more kind and understanding during their customers hardships. ONE TIME COURTESY regardless of Covid?? Even my credit cards are waving any and all fees! Cyprus credit union is waving fees and even dropped the fee price itself to $12.50! There was no remorse or care in the world that I was on the verge of tears and I decided to walk out without depositing the $16 I had in my hand because I couldn’t afford to have that eaten up for this fee. The fee happened due to a charge that came through a couple days early. I am so disappointed. I could understand if I’ve had many fees waved but they looked at my account and saw I had ONE a few months ago. People are struggling and I expect a local credit union to be more helpful. I do not recommend this credit union. I walked out so embarrassed and on the verge of tears. Gross

Is it possible to provide a 0 star rating? If so, I would apply it to University Federal credit Union. This is the absolute worst credit union on the planet Earth (perhaps the universe). Absolutely no customer service to talk about. Unbelievably heartless and arrogant group of people. I'm beside myself on the level of insanity this credit union exhibited over a simple oversight. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. No matter how reasonable and prudent you attempt to be while working out a issue. You quickly learn to expect nothing but heartless and cruel responses. Words don't do it justice. I hope no ever finds themselves at the end of the barrel with University Federal credit Union. I do not recommend this credit union to anyone. I regret having ever done business with this organization.

Best bank and branch EVER! Everyone is always so nice and helpful! We got our first home loan here, they helped us so much and made it such an easy process! The branch manager, tellers... well everyone are just so nice and friendly. If you are looking for a great, personable bank, look no further!

The tellers at this branch are absolutely incredible. I honestly can't believe the quality of service I received, I do not regret taking my business to this credit union and this branch in particular. If every bank/credit union would meet the standards set by the Bountiful Branch, the world would be a better place.

BEWARE! U first means they put U first, NOT you! I recently was charged 300 in fees in my checking account because I made a small billing mistake. When I called about it, they returned $50 and were rude and condescending. If you’re going to screw people over, the least you can do is be polite about it! Garbage customer service.

It was real nice when I could talk to my branch and get things done now I gotta sit one hold for at least a half hour to talk to someone through the automated system which gets harder to navigate every time I call. Last Dixie was great now she is gone o don't feel like I have a person there to help me at all.

I started my bank account at the University Credit Union about 5 years ago. We moved here from Alabama where we had a credit union account. I was hesitant to start a new account, hence I stayed with our Alabama Credit Union the first few years we lived in Utah. I decided to stop into the Bountiful office and met Dixie, the branch manager. After one meeting with her I was sold. She is professional, helpful and has a great personality as well. We have since opened multiple accounts for ourselves and children. We have numerous credit cards and an auto loan. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Dixie has been available to answer my phone calls, text messages and emails on the various questions or issues I have. She has given me fantastic advice on where to get the most out of my accounts and really knows how to combine her knowledge with accessibility. It is very important for me to create relationships with the people I do business with and this has happened at the University Federal Credit Union in Bountiful. Thanks Dixie and staff!!

I love going to this branch, I refinanced my mortgage and got a screaming rate. My boys have a savings account and get paid for their A's. When I go into the branch, the tellers are always so friendly and are happy to see me as a customer. There are credit unions closer to me, but i choose to do my banking at University CU and at this branch.

WORST CREDIT UNION EVER! This was the first and last time I will go there. Tried to use there ATM never dispensed the money. Called the number on the ATM was told I would be contacted first thing Monday morning which never happened. When I went in and asked to talk with the Branch Manager I was told I could not talk with her because I did not have an account with them. The teller also told me i was just out my money. After leaving I called was able to finally talk to someone who knew what was going on. Again was told the same thing that I was out the money. WORST CREDIT UNION EVER! USE THIS CU AT YOUR OWN RISK!
