    Very smooth experience overall. We needed to finance an AC system and the application process was quick and easy. After the project was done, Enerbank called to check in. Within a few weeks we had paid off our same as cash loan and they promptly removed my account with no action required on my end. The only thing I could complain about is that the only information about logging in to make payments came on the first statement in the mail. In 2022, I would expect that information to be upfront in an email or on their website.

    Worst customer service rep ever. I sent in a request for payoff with the authorization from our client. I called and spoke to a TOBIN who was completely rude. I advised that this was a rush and if i could please speak to his supervisor and he said no. I advised again that I would like to speak to his supervisor and he told me that I needed to wait 24-48 hour. I advised that this was a rush for one of our clients and that I needed to speak to a supervisor now. TOBIN simply said no you can wait 24-48 hours. I said no I need to talk to a supervisor now and was told " 24-48 hours" and that is it. I hung up called right back and spoke to LORI who was amazing and some how found the authorization that TOBIN could not find for some reason. LORI was able to give me the payoff info I needed and fax it over. Thank you to LORI but you may want to review TOBIN'S calls because I am sure if I was treated like that others are too. I work in customer service and this is completely unacceptable.

    The website is useless. You cannot find your account balances. They say the service offers 12 months no interest but they take out interest from each monthly payments. I have waited on the phone for an hour trying to reach customer service only to be disconnected. The worst finance company I have ever dealt with. Avoid using this company at all cost. I am paying off loan ahead of schedule. I hope I can get them.off my back with no problems.

    Overall was thankful for the last min home repair loan, but unfortunately you can not pay in advance without it getting dinged. I paid $ 1,000 towards my loan during Covid. (In case I wasn’t able to work) Me trying to pay my $89.00 monthly bill in advance not knowing it was going to backfire received 2 late payments on my credit I have now paid the loan off completely 2yrs earlier and their credit department will not remove the lates off my credit. Don’t pay in advance thinking you will be in good standing… now that will be sitting on my credit for a while

    I have never had a worst experience in my life. I called today to pay off my loan amount in full. It was in my husbands name who is currently on orders with the national guard and unreachable and will be for a while. When I called I had all of our account information and our last bill sitting in front of me with the principal balance amount. The lady I spoke with explained to me that the pay off amount would be different since the interest rate is daily. I said that’s fine, can you just tell me the amount to which she said “I can only answer yes or no to your questions, I can’t tell you the amount.” So I spent SEVERAL minutes literally asking “is it higher or lower than xyz” to which she would say “yes or no”. Seriously. She couldn’t just enter in the number she could clearly see on the screen! I didn’t even care what it was, I just wanted to pay it off. I eventually got down to inbetween dollar amounts and just paid the higher amount to be done playing games like a toddler. What is this insanity!? I seriously have never encountered worst customer service in my life. DO BETTER!

    The portal is hot garbage. Overall horrible experience. Customer service leaves you feeling like you've just drank a large gulp of exipired milk. I'd rather eat my own socks than deal with Enerbank again.

    Terrible! Was entered in to business with Enerbank when I selected a 1 year same a cash option with a company doing my window replacements. The window company was excellent, but Enerbank has been a nightmare. The additional amount I've been paying monthly is being applied to interest rather than principal. I've been trying to contact them via email and phone for weeks and can't get through and they won't call back. Just like many other people have stated online, their practices are borderline fraudulent. Not sure how this company is showing a 4+ Google rating when the internet is full of terrible reviews like mine. Makes me question the validity of Google review system.

    I used EnerBank for a small $5,000, 12-months same-as-cash financing company on a home project. They were referred directly by the contractor. What I didn't know when I agreed to use them was how difficult it would be to find out about the status of my loan! Every month they send a vague statement that doesn't actually show your payment history or starting loan amount. I believe I'm $900 from paying it off and I called to verify and I've been sitting on hold for a while - this call so far has been 54 minutes. I'm currently holding again while they "research" my payment history. What kind of customer service can't easily tell me my remaining balance/payoff amount..? Based on other reviews I think this is likely a tactic to allow them to collect more interest by making it difficult to satisfy same-as-cash loans before the end of the eligible period (then it's a hefty 18%). They finally gave me the payoff amount, and I will be sending a check ASAP for it to be done with this. I would not recommend using their services based on my experience.

    We went into financial hardship back in 2018 and entered a debt consolidation program and informed Enerbank about this on several occasions and attempted to negotiate some type of settlement with them. They were not willing to work with us at all and instead of paying them the original loan of $7,000, we ended up paying them back $14,000 as they just continued to pile on the interest. Way to take advantage of the situation!

    Contacted them about offering to finance to our customers. Sales rap changed the terms of the agreement twice then send the paperwork that did not match anything discussed on the phone. Very unprofessional will not do business with them.

    It is easy to get a loan but you can only view your overall loan balance by submitting a request on the website or calling their customer service number. That is a very scummy practice with no reasonable justification besides making it harder to pay off the debt.

    I use a bill paying via my bank. Over the holidays, the post offices got backed up they couldn’t wait to charge me a late fee even though the check had been cashed and taken out of my way before it was late. It dated by the post office as showing it wasn’t late. But they tried for 2 months to charge me late fees. I can’t stand banks that are money hungry fee seeking

    Grateful for the quick loan approval, but can I be honest? What kind of company has a website that doesn't show the balance you own anywhere on the entire account? I log in to enerbankpayments and absolutely no balance anywhere to be found. Only my payment history. I have no idea what is going on. If you have a functioning corporation please make it easier to have customers find basic information and not wasting time calling in. Keep in mind this company exists for one reason. To confuse you and get you to miss paying off your full balance in time so they get the interest. No other reason they wouldn't have your balance show online. That is crazy absurd and on the of the worst business practices imaginable.

    Avoid this company completely. Do not use them at all. 1. They do not show your full account balance online. You can't see your past balances or statements either. You HAVE to either call them, or use their feedback form on their website, to get YOUR total account balance. You are at THEIR leisure. Their "Business Owner/Customer Relations Lead" repeatedly says that they look forward to having the website show account balances soon. She has been saying that for over 4 years. They are not working on it. She is a liar. 2. Your payments ONLY go to your interest balance. Every loan and credit card I have had, my payments go to both principal balance and interest. They do this, so they can keep the principal balance as high as possible, for as long as possible, to rip off their customers for as much as they can, for as long as they can. 3. Your statements that arrive in the mail, also, only show principal balance. You do not see your total account balance at all. They do not want you to see that you are being ripped off. They are deceitful. Avoid this company, do not use for anything.

    This is such a scam. Don’t believe all the reviews on google. Look them up with the BBB first. My average credit score is 720. I have good debt to income ratio and a perfect record. A contractor suggested them so when I called and got approved the interest rate was 13% they do not offer anything lower and they push you into 12 year payments on something that essentially costs as much as a small car! I said absolutely and laughably no and went through someone else. Careful who to give hour money to.

    BEWARE PREDATORY I received a 12 month, same as cash loan for Air Conditioning services I received through a contractor. I was receiving monthly statements up until 3 months before the loan was due. Knowing that it was around August, I emailed, looked out for physical letters. I thought it was odd they stopped sending statements. Towards the end of August I called to check what happened and when I should be paying. Apparently my date had passed, even though no payment notification was made, letters, emails, calls, nothing, and they were levying a 20% fee for backed interest. I escalated and there was a 21 day "grace" period they were able to waive it and I paid my loan off in full. Clearly this is a strategy - They stop communicating phone, email, or letter pay-off date as it gets closer - Login to their site is intentionally confusing, only by contract ID, not serviceable - If there are any issues logging in or paying you must call during weekday business hours - Their "grace period" is a random 21 days, not full month as normal monthly pay terms - They take full year back pay all at once

    I went on to their website and contacted them 3 times in a 24 hour period asking them to email me my pay off amount because the website does not provide that information. Finally I had to call them to get that information so I could pay off my loan with them. The person on the phone was nice, but I should not have to send 3 email asking for my loan balance and I should be able to see it when I log in to my account on the website. I can not recommend this company at all.

    In 1980 I bought my first 100% electric car. In 2016, I bought a PHEV. I wanted it to go down the highway using power from the sun. So I bought, a house and wanted it to be 100% solar to. I bought enough solar to replace the power company and have a high SEER ductless HVAC system to help guarantee overall success of the whole process to replace resistive heat from baseboard electric heat.     I still don't know how competitive their rates are, but I'm impressed by their customer service! They called (unprompted) to be sure all the work was done. When I told them that something was installed incorrectly, they asked if I had it in writing that it would be fixed and let me know that if I had any problems with it not being completed to let them know. I feel like most companies would tell me it's my problem, not there's, so I was quite impressed.

    Helpful in understanding what was requested. I would suggest that when you send emails that there are documents waiting to be signed, that you indicate CLEARLY and PLAINLY either in the email itself, or my sign-in page, what the scope of the document is, and when in the course of the project it needs to be signed. I did not know until I received the call from your team that I was premature in signing the online docs. The call was very helpful.

    Very poor customer service, unprofessional and UNETHICAL! I hardly rate or write reviews! But after dealing with the company (EnerBank) I feel the need to express my feelings, frustrations and level of anger over how they are treating a returned coustomer. First, I had two accounts (loans) in the past which I paid off full. Then I/we decided to get solar system for our house and EnerBank was introduced to us again. We though great, let’s do the business again. Well, it’s been hell trying to speak to a competent person on the other side of the phone line for the past a few months! So I called EnerBank and informed them that the funds did not leave my account and that I want to pay off. Again I was told that the account is closed and is paid off. Now today (1/21/2021) I called again...just to see what was happening, and to my dismay I was told that my balance + plus interest rate. Which was very unfair MCB I requested to speak to a supervisors I was that they someone will get back to me in two business days. Today I spoke to Rego, who had no clue what was happening and again I was told that someone will back to me in two days. Soooo now, at the worst economic time of our lifetime, I am trying to pay off a loan and I can’t get through with a competent person. Hopefully ANYONE WHO reads this never selects EnerBank. They are very unprofessional, unethical, disrespectful and frankly I think they are operating some scheme. Hopefully someone is able to catch up then. SAY NO ENERBANK

But after dealing with the company (EnerBank) I feel the need to express my feelings, frustrations and level of anger over how they are treating a returned coustomer. First, I had two accounts (loans) in the past which I paid off full. Then I/we decided to get solar system for our house and EnerBank was introduced to us again.     Do not do business with this company. I cannot think of another financial entity in 2020 that will not allow you to manage your account online. This was NOT disclosed initially or I would not agreed to do business with them. All you can essentially do online is make a payment. You cannot view any of your actual account info. I tried multiple times to call and have a professional conversation with someone about this but you are always told there is no one that can take your call other than to just take a payment. The only way you will know your principle balance is when they send you a statement in snail mail or call and wait for 30+ minutes.

    Sent a check in for my monthly bill. I noticed it wasn't cashed so I started calling every few days to see if it was received. When it got to be 4 days before the bill was due I called again for a 3rd, and final time but they said it hadn't been received so I stopped payment on it, and paid electronically instead. The account was paid on time and in full, but now I received a late payment notice from their collections department saying they got the check and couldn't cash it... They didn't even both to see that the account was up to date before MISTAKENLY sending me to their collections department and slapping me with a late fee. I tried explaining this to Lindsey C. (whi is listed as an owner on yelp?) and she literally told me I lied about being on hold for 45 minutes while trying to reach someone to fix this and that they tried to cash the check because they thought it was an additional payment that just happened to be for the same date and dollar amount. When I called her out on that and said it made no sense she then called me a liar and said I wouldnt have been reported if my account was actually paid. Well? I reported ya'll to the BBB because I have proof from the Enerbank USA website and my bank that is was indeed paid on time. What kind of sick company and associate treats customers like that though??? Hoping we can transfer to a different institution that is ran by those that can add, subtract, and treat customers like they aren't criminals for paying their bills on time and in full. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!

I asked for an explanation of how the decision was made with the rep on the phone and they were not able to tell me. I also asked what I could do to raise the limit because I had many months before the job was done. I was also advised they couldn’t help me.

(I have worked with another company and my loan started at the time of sale and loan approval - more than three months before the work was done! On a 12-month same-as-cash agreement I found that unfair and annoying!) If you plan on paying your loan off within 12 months, EnerBank USA is terrific!

    I understand if I pay a bill late, even after a grace period, there may be late fees. I understand that, under normal circumstances. A lot of people were and are affected by COVID 19. This does not matter to EnerBank USA. I paid, let me repeat, paid my bill 13 days late. This is 3 days outside the grace period. They charged me a 30.00 late fee. They have no forgiveness in these abnormal times. I will never do business with this establishment ever again.

BUT I still cannot give 10 of 10 points because the loan payment application DOES NOT have facility to track the total loan amount applied for and remaining loan amount after every payments. Which really bad and keeps in blind zone to customers. How would anyone know for how long they can schedule auto payments and how much is remaining?

    I received a letter in the mail today. It had my current bill plus $90.00 in late fees. I called immediately and spoke to customer service. She explained to me that the late fees go back to May. I never once received a late fee notice and still had to pay $60.00 in late fees. I will never use this place again after this loan is paid. I will make sure I let everyone know about this company and how they treat Veterans and people in general. Do you as a company know what is going on and that some might be late on their payments, we can see it's all about the money with this company.

    We just started together and so far things have gone pretty good. The only thing I've had to do is call to get some clarification around the electronic documents/signature process. I was trying to print off my loan documents and they wouldn't print. I did eventually discover (the next day) that they were PDF files, but no one at EnerBank Customer Service, tech support or the software they were using, seemed to know that. It wasn't a big deal, but it did cost me some time that didn't have to be lost.

    Absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered in my life. I have been having a loan/project that has been on hold/delayed for a long while due to the Covid Pandemic. I have asked for extension due to this and the week before my project is to be worked/almost finished; they want to tell me that they can't/WON'T extend the loan again. None of these delays have been in my control, I have tried to get this project started multiple times but due to the covid pandemic, permitting issues, and the project manager getting covid himself, I wasn't able to start until the last week of August. A week or two before they are to put in the cabinets, ENERBANK wants to put me through hell just to get the second half of the money for the contractor. I can't believe that I have been going through this bank or having to deal with this unnecessary stress over and over again. None of the people there or banking lender or senior lenders have an ounce of common sense nor do they have any ounce of customer service.

    I enjoyed the people that i worked with there are some underhanded ways on how they use people that go through Temp Agencies, so make sure you obey all the rules dont forget small details and watch out for Jordan Anderson, she puts up a nice smile but she really is an evil person. She didnt even let me finish my contract, but luckly Im a strong person and found a good paying job a week after being let go from this hell prison.

    While the application process was fast and easy for my "12 month same as cash" loan, the instructions regarding the payment schedule weren't very clear. The paperwork I received made it sound like I had to make 2 payments, 1 prior to 6 months after loan origination and another prior to 12 months after loan origination to avoid finance charges. I subsequently found out I only needed to make 1 payment prior to 12 months after loan origination to avoid finance charges.

Payoff sent on the account 2 weeks ago and has been cashed, but not posted on the account yet!? Hopefully will be better for those with accounts after all is transferred to Regions.     I understand that the statements for this particular loan can be confusing. If you do the 12 months same as cash balance it does not matter what the principal balance says, it’s all in the same as cash balance. I noticed that most of my payments were going to principal, however they assured me that if I paid it off within 12 months of project completion, not loan origination but when I receive the funds, that I would pay no interest. We fully paid our entire loan before 12 months which was June 2. The loan origination was May 2, however we didn’t receive the funds until June 2. I just called to confirm that they have received all the funds and I am paid in full. The reason they show the principal balance and what payments are going to interest, because they charge interest from the first day the loan is funded (this is the day you receive funds after your project is completed) if you do not pay it in full in 12 months. Which they have clearly stated upfront and are in the terms of agreement. I understand that it can be confusing, but this is a really great company that does what they say they do. We used them for $13,000, and paid that off in 12 months. Again I reiterate the only thing you have to pay attention to it is the same as cash balance and as long as you pay it off in that interest free time period, you will not pay any interest. Yes 18% is high but they typically deal with people who do not have high credit scores. Honestly speaking if you don’t have great credit then this is the best way to go even if you don’t finish all of the payments. We had a plan from the beginning, because we do have good credit, that if we did not finish paying it we would have taken a lower interest loan from our bank to finish paying it off. I think it’s important to understand what you’re getting into and why Enerbank is doing what they are doing, which is why I think they’re a great company. Honestly speaking 18% when you have bad credit is phenomenal. I have had bad credit in the past and have had much higher interest rates than this, thank goodness I have fixed my credit and have a better understanding of how it works. Again I paid no interest because we were able to clear the whole balance before the end of the year, but had we not we would have taken another loan elsewhere to cover it so we did not have that interest rate. I hope my post helps and that folks realize if you pay it all in the 12 months or whatever agreement you come to with them you will not pay interest even though the statements are confusing.

    I used EnerBank for a small loan, 12-months same-as-cash financing company on a home improvement project. They were referred directly by the contractor. What I didn't know when I agreed to use them was how difficult it would be to find out about the status and balance of my loan! They send a vague statement that doesn't show your payment history or starting loan amount every month. I don't know how far I am from paying it off, and I called to verify, and I've been sitting on hold for 30 minutes, still on hold as I write this. I think this is a predatory lending practice to allow them to collect more interest by making it challenging to satisfy same-as-cash loans before the end of the eligible period; then, the interest rate is tremendous! When I finally get through on my call, I will be paying this off and NEVER using this company again! The online payment (screenshot) shows how they don't even show you your loan balances or anything when making a payment, only your payments and NOTHING else. It's like they don't want you to know. Hmmm... I will NEVER recommend using this bank's services to anyone!

    If you are in need of a loan or financial assistance do not use Ener Bank. The financial institution/bank is the absolute worst place to even attempt to get any assistance. The employees prefer to speak over their customers. I’ve called looking to get information on my account and been bounced from one representative to another. Then told only one person is handling my account and she works from home. These employees have the unfortunate habit of liking to speak over the customers. Just recently after asking for management I was on hold for more than 30 minutes after speaking with Logan, Trish, Kami, and I still was unsuccessful in getting the information that there was only one account and the other account reporting to credit bureau’s was closed. If your thinking about using this financial institution seek other alternative options with other banks. If you are looking for a financial institution to help you and stay on top of your financial finances. Stay far away from Enner Bank I have never dealt with such unpleasant experience and excuses from this bank.

    I made a mistake similar to others. I was sold a solar system and was told the interest would be the low fixed interest rate. I decided to help pay the loan off quicker. I would more than double the payment. The problem is identifying what the actual terms of the loan are and where the funds are allocated. I’ve had numerous conversations with my solar installer and the company itself and still find the loan process unclear and frustrating. I should easily access my information online and identify when things will be paid off. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.

    HORRIBLE experience for OVER one month! We had a young lady take our FIRST attempt at our loan application. We spelled out ALL names phonetically and there were still GROSS errors on the application we were to sign. It took MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS from our salesman (in our presence) AND people from the contractor before the errors were corrected! EACH time we spelled out EVERY name phonetically. AFTER the THIRD try (one month after we submitted the application) we were FINALLY presented with a correct document! I do NOT think this is in any way our/salesman fault. In EACH conversation with ANYONE at the bank, I explained our initial experience. EVERYONE APOLIGIZED, BUT NOTHING CHANGED! Several of those I spoke with saw/expressed the initial application's GROSS errors and wondered how so many errors could have happened. They agreed that we should NOT sign the application until EVERYTHING was corrected. We can only HOPE that our future experience will be better!

    I applied for a loan with EnerBank USA as part of an HVAC installation project at my home. EnerBank has an agreement with the contractor I chose for the job, Leinbach Services of Kingsport, TN. On the positive side, EnerBank applications are very simple and can be handled completely over the phone, with email, and through their website. I was given approval for my loan within ten minutes of applying. Completing the paper work was hassle free. On the negative side, these type loans are unsecured and based upon risk. That is to say, everything rides on one's credit rating. While my credit is at least "good," it is not excellent. As such, the interest rates on my loan were a bit higher than I would have liked. Since I plan to pay this note off VERY quickly, I went forward with it. That being said, if you are considering financing, you might looking into something like a HELOC from your bank. The HELOC option is particularly attractive if you have more than one home improvement that you want to do over a span of time. So while better options may be preferable they are not always open to every customer. If one has to go with an unsecured risk type product, you can do worse than EnerBank.

    This process was more difficult than refinancing a mortgage. After months of back and forth... being told "you are good for the full amount" 2 hard inquiries on my credit report by them drops my score so now all of a sudden "we can only do this much based on your score" So many delays that the application expired.     The rate is a bit high, but I believe that is due to all of the credit I have recently taken on, I have heard from others who have received much more reasonable rates. Other than that the process is perfect. I love how the final half of the money is not released until I say so, i.e. a job has been completed successfully. The process was quick and easy! I have no recommendations for improvement. I do recommend improving your payment site. There is no way for me to see how much of the loan I have left, how much I have paid, etc. A quick and easy account dashboard is recommended showing amount paid, amount outstanding, interest paid to date, etc.

The website and statements never broke down payments to show pay-off quote, total interest being paid, and a history of balance payments.     Super high interest rates (8.99% for a deck!) with perfect credit score. Plus they charge interest everyday. Phone wait times are 25+ minutes, everytime, even in non busy hours. The wait time was the thing that prompted me to review. Charge you for doing anything but check. Charge you for paying online, charge you for calling in a payment. It’s 2020 people, we don’t need an internet transaction fee anymore. I’d advise looking somewhere else for a personal loan.

    My wife and I were applying jointly, and I finished and signed my section and sent it in not realizing she hadn't signed, and waited and waited for the payment to go to our installer. No communication was made to remind us that she also had to sign. Finally the installer had to call us back and say the application wasn't finished correctly. My wife had to sign back in with a separate password and account to finish the application. It just would have been nice if the form would have stated "incomplete..please fill in the necessary blanks" Or something to that effect so there we knew we weren't finished.

    Loan went through quickly, reps are great. I recommend you do the math. The monthly payment amount they quote you will not get the loan paid off in time. They will then tack on a very high interest charge because you didn't pay the loan off in time. I feel this is shady and intentional. Make bigger payments whenever possible.

I plan on paying my loan off in the 24 month grace period for zero %. I think that if EnerBank offered a lower interest rate, more borrowers might be willing to go with a longer term, instead of paying the amount off so quickly. Just a thought.

After several hours of being on hold to talk to someone and weeks waiting for a call back they lied about leaving me voicemails so they blamed it on me that I wasn't working with them.
