Unbelievable, years and years of good credit, no lates, paid the card off during the Covid-19 Pandemic and even over paid the card.. no debt. They canceled my card and never told me. Sent a letter that was back dated 8 days. AND, their office is closed and told to call back. No Reason. Credit score is over 760. Typical for a bank.

I’ve purchased and sold numerous homes in multiple States using multiple Financial Institutions of all types from Local Banks, Credit Unions, and Large Corporations. Without a doubt, The Independent Banker’s Bank (TIB) is the worst Lender that I have ever used or heard of. Numerous events that TIB Customer Service said one thing on Recorded Phone Conversations that TIB high level Managers wouldn’t allow a follow through and completion. I’m absorbing the costs of a refinance to get out from under such stupid Business decisions by TIB. This review isn’t about a Branch Bank that is partnered with TIB but is centered on the TIB Lake Zurich, IL Home Office that doesn’t have a way to let you rate them. How convenient.

This bank handles investments and monetary exchanges for BANKS - they DO NOT deal directly with the public, the name is The Independent Bankers Bank, not The Independent Bank. Get your facts straight before you defame an institution for something they do not do.

Trying to change the address for our credit card and they still can't get it right. Sent us a credit card with someones name on it we don't know and told us they are an authorized user. Really!!! Very concerning. They need to get their act together. 3 times for an address change. Unacceptable.

Terrible customer service. not the employees fault, just a poorly structured company and out dated technology. Zero out of 10

Not sure what the other folks are complaining about, because these folks are the best. My guess is that the service complaints are bout a third party that TIB uses sometimes to service mortgage loans. All I can say is that the customer service I've received from them on both my mortgage and credit card have been nothing short of exceptional. My local bank uses TIB for these services and, since the banker is a good friend, I know they are very happy with them, as well. Keep up the good work!

Customer service within the TIB Mortgage and Insurance Department is not knowledgeable, consistent, or efficient in processing requests. The lack of competence of the above TIB departments ended up costing me several hundred dollars. This unnecessary expense would have been avoided if TIB provided accurate information. Email ettiquette is not appropriate. Very disappointed to have my loan sold to TIB, from a local, small town bank. A one star rating is given, but I would actually rate them less than that. Having a loan with TIB has been a very negative experience.

These dirt bags will waste no time in selling off your VA loan to the worst people they can to to squeeze out the last little penny. (Even after you are guaranteed that they keep VA loans in house.) Human filth! selling out veterans! DO NO BUSINESS WITH THEM. DO NO BUSINESS WITH ANY BANK THAT DOES BUSINESS WITH THEM. NOT AT ALL VETERAN FRIENDLY!!!

Worst customer service/service!! We were so happy to payoff our mortgage so we would never have to deal with this bank again.

Absolutely the worst customer service of any bank I have dealt with!
