TD Bank Briggs Chaney Rd, Silver Spring

Horrible customer experience. Tellers are impolite, rude and lazy. This branch is also in dire need of implicit bias training. Had to go through 10 levels of verification just to make a withdrawal from my own accounts because the incompetent branch manager, Mike, could not properly complete a simple address change in the system. After confirming that he had updated my address in their system, I found out 2 weeks later that he in fact did not complete the change, which ended up causing me further verification issues. As a result, I have closed and transferred multiple large accounts over to a more professional bank. I was eventually told by TD's branch management that the extreme level of verification is due to the fact that they've experienced "high levels of fraud". My response to bank management: that is your issue to deal with, not for your customers to bear the brunt of.

Thank you to Mike who was the only one from 3 TD banks that could accurately state why someone would be denied receiving a new onsite bank card instead of saying “ we can’t verify you “ without an accurate explanation. If you have a question or concern I would only trust Mike with an answer. If you choose to use TD bank I would only come to this location. I would not trust any other branch with your information. Thank you again Mike for your outstanding communication and customer service. I sincerely appreciate it.

My family opened a safe deposit box at this branch of TD Bank. After more than a year without visiting the box, we came in this week. We were notified that safe deposit box had been drilled open and the contents emptied and put elsewhere, several months ago. Despite having our mailing address and phone number on file, they did not give us any warning that there were issues with the box before removing our possessions. They refuse to return our possessions to us until we pay $150 for the drilling process. The regional manager seems to be the only person who has control over this decision and hasn't bothered to contact us even after our making several requests. At best, this is a sign of horrendous security policies designed by the TD Bank network and personal incompetence by the regional and branch. We strongly suggest everyone avoid TD Banks, particularly this branch.

This Branch and ESPECIALLY TD in general is TERRIBLE!!! They will rush to give you an account BUT will not tell you the fine print. When something happens with your account they have ZERO options to help you. When you try to call them you will be on hold for almost an hour EVERTIME YOU CALL THEM!!! Stay away from them.....they care NOTHING about their customers....go to ANY OTHER BANK!!!!

Horrible!!! Bad service....Bad service. When I call, they put me on hold forever. Hang up and try again and samething. Bank empty and people dont want to work. Ask for change interest rate on my savings and they never did it. Pls do not use this particular branch. All the time are changing employees.

The branch manager, Mike, is very friendly, professional, and helpful. I've also interacted with their assistant manager, Kathy, who is very courteous and personable. This bank is clean, efficient, and the staff are very friendly. Normally going to the bank is a dreadful experience for me, however, this place gives great service and will get you in & out in a timely manner. Thank you, team at TD Bank on Briggs Chaney!

I definitely will not bank with this bank after my experience with them. I had gone to that bank location drive thru after receiving a TD check from a client of mine to cash their check. I was the only car in their drive thru yet my wait was 20 minutes and the only thing they asked me was "Do you have an account with us" which of course not. I simply wanted to cash a TD bank check although I currently bank with Sandy Spring. What they failed to inform me of after already cashing my check with them is that they had taken a $7 fee without asking me first if I would like to continue. Had I known they would taken that $7 fee or any amount (every dollar matters to me) - I would have taken that check to my own bank. I find out after already cashing my check and going home. So frankly I would never bank with such a dishonest bank with careless employees.

Assistant branch manager Kathy is the best bank manager I've ever had the privilege of doing business with. Her entire crew is pleasant, professional, and quick.

I have never had issues with this branch but this you g man called Edward Alfaro is so rude and full of himself. He’s highly incompetent. He barely knows what to do when you have issues with your account!

Be very careful when banking with these people. This is the only bank in history to charge overdraft fees while there is money in your account.
