Having worked in collections, there is a certain level of tact and courtesy that goes along with trying to collect on a debt. Having talked to many of their representatives in the past none of them have been cordial, in fact they are pushy and rude like you are bothering them even thought they called you. Today, was impressive to say the least the representative called me tried collecting telling me I have not made a payment for over 5 years. Did not ask my current situation, what hardship landed me in the situation, or even what they could do to help. Instead offered me a 15% discount on a lump sum or set up payments. In the past I have been offered up to 30% off to take care of it... When I told them that I need a better deal she said so your not going to set up payments? I am in a tough spot but for the right deal I could make something work. Again, she said so you are not going to set up payments then hung up. Wow, what a joke. Apparently they are not interested in doing the best they can for their clients.

Why am I giving a collections agency a 5 star review???..... especially after the first 2 people I spoke with were rude and uninformed. My answer is 1 reason, Jackie Johnson, I think she is a manager or supervisor, she was the 3rd person I spoke to. She completely changed my entire experience with this company, which was at first, beyond terrible. How? Just by being ridiculously knowledgable/informed about what her company and position does. Seriously. Literally. 2-3 minutes after speaking with her, my anxiety about the situation went from a 10 to a 0. I hope someone from this company reads this, Jackie was beyond amazing to me on the phone today. Thank you!

Abhorrent people. Refused to tell me how they obtained my phone number (said it was "just there suddenly"). I explained that my aunt had passed away (they were looking for her). I have them, on their own recording, ADMITING that their documents needs to include the details of who they are collecting on behalf of. They refused to give me any information. I said send a detailed bill to her last known address (they tried to get me to tell them my address, I'm not giving up personal information). Then when I said that the document they send is LEGALLY require to provide debt details as well as the company they are collecting on behalf of, they suddenly clammed up and when I eclscelated the matter to a supervisor, they said "I am a supervisor". Then hung up on me.

If this is for an unauthorized account opened by my ex husband on June 8,2016 and scheduled for the day after I went on vacation, you have no idea what is getting ready to identity back and I've spent hours on the phone explaining double billing. See you in criminal court and it's Federal

They ruined my credit for something I had no idea I owed. After it has been ruined they send you a letter that looks like a scam and a couple of months later a call asking for money, that also seems like a scam. I had to see it in my credit report that it was something I owed, and I still don't know what it is exactly.

This company is a scam. Never answer questions about fraudulent charges and will not connect you to anyone in their fraud department. Managers and supervisors are of no assistance. BBB has been contacted. CFPB is next call. I hope they are out of business soon.

Honestly... You know I do despise debt collectors but I just got off the phone with a young lady who’s customer service was actually pretty good. She stayed calm the entire time didnt raise her voice or step out of character”L one time. Actually got me to set up a payment plan and pay the P.O.S phone off lol. I would have gave them 5 stars buuttt..😬 You know ... Debt Collectors

So, I received a bill from this company two years ago. I called to find out the details as I have never resided at the service address. After several weeks of investigations, I come to find out the was an ex-wife for over 20, years ago. So, i pressed charges and she was arrested and convicted of fraud. I notified this company of the findings and sent copies of all the police reports. they did remove it from my credit report and placed it back on after 30 days. I just contacted them again for the second time, and now they want me to re-send them all the reports. Folks, I am a professional bill collector, and I am very well of the laws. What they are doing is highly illegal. So, I filed a complaint with the better Business Bureau, The FTC and the CFPB. I will tell you no collection agency wants a complaint from the CFPB! Once they get wind of an Illegal action, they will go up one side and down the other with a fine-tooth comb.

Called to settle. Agreed to one time payment amount. Asked for a confirmation email so I had proof of payment. Manager denied to send me one, was rude, gave me a confirmation number, and said I had to call back with that in a few days if I wanted an email "because it doesn't just go through overnight" yet I have a pending charge on my account for it. Also can't get an email with the confirmation number, or any type of receipt

With this very unprofessional angry threatenting demeanor Do you really think I really want to give these Horribly unprofessional people My debit Or checking account information. Hire some pleasant respectful people you might get further!

If Sunrise calls you to collect a debt or you need to call them to resolve a debt owed, request to speak with Carly (might be spelled Carleigh) Davis. By far the best debt collector I have EVER worked with. I have had debt collectors call me over medical bills in the past and I have even had one debt collector YELL at me... not her! She was pleasant and helpful! Her job can not be easy by any means, she literally calls people for owed money or possible owed money. I can only imagine how many times in a single day she gets cussed out! BUT she was able to take my call, treat me with respect, and we even shared a laugh or two! Absolutely amazing job Carly!! I can only imagine what you go through on a daily basis!! Hey management!!! You need to give this woman a raise!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I called them because of a letter I received about an account that I still have with Spectrum. I was trying to explain to the lady that we didn't close the account we just dropped some stuff from the bundle and I didn't understand why I would be getting a letter from them when my account shows nothing and I have received nothing from Spectrum. She kept telling me the account was closed, I started getting frustrated and she told me not to yell at her or speak to her that way. I promptly told her I was not yelling but that I could show her what yelling was, so I did. She told me she was not one of my children and I didn't know who I was talking to. I never cussed at her or anything like that, I was just frustrated because she wasn't listening to the fact that the account was not closed we had just dropped some things from our bundle. She got really mad at me when I told her I was not paying for something that I had never even received a bill for or that was not showing on our account. Not only that when we personally took some of our equipment back they checked it in with our account and never said we owed anything.

If I was able to provide a "0" star I would. After calling to inquire regarding the information sent to me I was berated on the phone by the customer service rep. She yelled at me, cut me off in every conversation, and repeatedly told me there was not any other individual that I could speak to because she was the "supervisor". I asked to speak to a manager and she stated that there was not a manager present and good luck finding one. I called back to see if I could speak to a manager and I was promptly transferred to a manager!!! I asked the manager to pull the conversation in the computer because this female customer service rep told me she was making notes in the system. The manager stated that there was not any record of me calling or having a conversation with a customer service rep!!! SHOCKER that she didn't record it! Poor practices from all around. The manager Daniel Harper was of zero help and told me that he would NOT be following up with me if he did find the conversation. I really hope that companies do not use this credit agency!

Sunrise Credit Services does not hold true to their word. Didn't receive any information about an outstanding bill from AT&T (did not owe to AT& T and still sent to collections). To come to some agreement to make this go away I asked if I paid would this be deleted from my credit. The 1st operator stated it would and they would send me a letter verifying after I paid. That never came. I called back and talked with Javon Kelly and he stated it would be removed in 5 business days. That never happened. Now I called and was told Sunrise doesn't delete from your credit (why are there so many reviews stating they do). DO NOT TRUST Sunrise. I have filed a consumer complaint with the Texas Attorney General and hired a lawyer to fight this. I will spend whatever it takes to teach companies like Sunrise that consumers will not be lied too.

Would give them less than one star but obviously not able to do that. They allege that i owe them debt from an att account. I had contacted att and they had actually refunded me more than what sunrise alleges that i owe them. I disputed initially when it popped up under my equifax report so they waited 90 days and now have it filed under my transunion. This company is nothing but a scam trying to get free money out of people. I told them to call att, but they wont.

I received a couple of calls from this company. Last week I spoke to an agent, told her that I did not owe $212 to any cable company and I will need for them to send a validation letter pertaining to this so-called debt to the address they had on record. Last night 11/10/20 I see that they called me again. I called them today. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that something got miscommunicated and explain to the agent that last week I already asked for a validation letter to be sent to the address on record. The agent I was speaking to then proceeds to raise his voice over talking me, when I'm telling him to send the validation letter to the address he has on record. So I tell him to let me speak to his manager. I'm put on hold for a couple of minutes, when the agents comes back on the line claiming that the manager can't talk to me and he'll call me back. Which I tell him from this point moving forward that that all communication must be through mail. During our conversation this agent is very unprofessional & in a undermining way tells me how this is going go on my credit, that I need to pay my debt, this is my debt and I owe it. The agent tells me that I'm not communicating with him correctly. How hard it is to send a debt validation letter. Yeah whoever's reading this from the company send the letter, all information provening that I actually owe that company that amount and that you're actually licensed in the place where you're conducting business out of and if your license in my state of Florida to collect. For anyone else reading this review ask them for debt validation letter & and all information that proves what company and how much you owe be sent to the address on record and if they're actually license to practice out of the state their in and the state that you reside in.

I called customer service to get help making a payment. Some reason every payment I make never shows up. I called to get help and I was transfered to 3 different people. I then finally got to talk to someone and the guy was very rude and did not help me at all. I guess they don't really want my money. Horrible service. Don't bother calling them. They are absolutely no help.

This company is fraudulent. I saw on my credit report that they put a collection on me for $200 on an account that is not mine but my parents for Suddenlink which is not mine. When I called the representative kept urging me to pay even though I said I will think about it first which raised a red flag for me. They should not force people to pay if those people want to get on the bottom of the situation especially if you know the debt is not yours at all. At that moment I submitted a dispute on Experian where I saw the collection report. I explained that the account was not mine and I have my own account with Suddenlink that I pay on time. Experian deleted the fraudulent collection report. Now my Credit score went up to 700+. Thank you Experian, and no thank you to SCC. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT COMPANY! I repeat this company is fraudulent.

Been getting calls from them for about 6 months regarding money owed to AT&T. I’ve never had AT&T and told them that. I thought they were scamming me then they showed up on my credit report. I called someone there and they finally confirmed the address was not mine. That person said they would take care of it. 1 month later and I call again because it was still showing up. Then I was told I need to file a police report by the most ignorant “manager “ they could have hired. Nobody there seems to know what they are doing! The only thing that I finally got out of them was the account number so I was able to address the problem with AT&T. Terrible company to deal with!!

I understand I owe money, not only where they giving me a charge of $100 more of what I owed, aside from that I was not allowed to speak, I was even told how I wasn’t trying to cooperate because I didn’t have a pen to wright some account details… I was driving, I asked to speak with a supervisor and she said she was a supervisor and she was the highest person in the office, she hang up. I ended up calling the company and paying the amount without the $100 extra she claimed I owed.

They charged my account on a day that we did not agree on. I asked for it to be scheduled at the end the month and they said they have to have my credit card information on hold in order to save the date so I agreed. Checked my account shorty after and my card was already charged for the full amount. Leaving my account to be possibly over drafted because of their scamming mistake. When I called back, they were not helpful at all. This should not be allowed!

I have never experienced a more unprofessional company. I spoke with 4 different extremely rude supervisors trying to resolve why all the sudden after a year of paying off a balance there was a mysterious 100$ charge that I was told I needed to pay. While asking the supervisor to explain their polices to me he told me multiple times he was going to end the call and refused to explain their billing polices to me. They will absolutely try to scam you out of more money than you owe so keep every single record of all of your transactions with them. They are scam artists who have no accountability.

If this is a legit company from New York, why do their calls show up as local number identified as “scam likely”? When I answer the phone, no one is ever there, and within a few seconds the call disconnects. I monitor my credit regularly and I do not have any accounts associated with this company. I have asked several times to stop calling my number because i do not have any business with them. They say they will put my number on the Do Not Call list, but yet they call again 30 minutes later. From reading other reviews, this definitely feels very scammy to me.

I don't know if it's the company itself, or thieves masquerading as this company, but they will call you and claim you owe money to a cable company. I've never had an account with that organization in my life and I checked my credit report (I have perfect credit), and then called the cable company who conducted an extensive search and found no record of me. Don't give them any information and don't agree to any payments!!!!

As a former employee, this place sucked. Managers hound you every other day, you’re expected to meet their quotas even within being there for a month. It’s almost cult-like. The worst part of it is that they Penny Pinch the workers pay check. This is not the company to work for, no matter the case. I soon hope to see them go out of business.

Nobody likes getting calls from collection companies. I called them back to discuss the bill from previous cable provider. The agent was patient with me while I explained what happened and we discussed her information vs what I could find on my online statement. At first, she agreed with me that something wasnt right. After further investigation on my part, I decided my previous payments were behind and the amount Sunrise had was correct. I paid them over the phone, no extra fees and email was prompt as promised.

This company did not send any mail or call at all but I had received 3 notices within 1 week on my credit report saying an account had been sent to collections. I had to call them and ask what this was about, they would not give any info out even after I gave them my info verifying who I was which I told them I was hesitant to do. This is a predatory collections company and they should be ashamed of how they conduct business. A majority of their payroll is in a call center and they will spam call you non stop, hang up on you just to report you to collections further diminishing your credit. After the three notices I got another 2 in one single day on my credit report saying they reported the account to collections. All for a simple 200$ that was owed to AT&T. I just wanted to verify with AT&T that I had owed money and AT&T confirmed that when my account was closed a balance was left over, I asked them why this was not brought up so I could pay before they contacted a collections agency. AT&T response is it will not show until after the closing of the account (AT&T obviously has a flawed process). To use this company and this company have the CEO's picture saying they conduct themselves in a professional manner is absurd. This is a sick and twisted company that should be put out of business with each employee working their held accountable for how they treat people they are trying to collect from. The founder husband and wife combo obviously gave 0 ZERO training to their kids and let them run this company into the ground. The mother is probably turning over in her grave watching how this company spam calls people to get any payment they can. Worst business practice ever, they will even wait or just flat out not send the payment info to the credit bureaus forcing you to call back and do it yourself getting a letter showing you paid the account off.

SCAM!!! I got a call where a representative tried to bully me into giving my credit card info over the phone to pay a bill that was settled through spectrum over 4 months ago. They were rude and aggressive and extremely unprofessional. They were able to obtain information such as my email and address as well as the amount I "owed" which makes them seem legit when they call you to collect a bill. Ignore any person that calls you from this number.

They threatened my family and me with jail time. They were saying that I owed Sprint over $600. I'm with Sprint currently and I called their customer service department. Sprint said they have absolutely no records of me having any outstanding debts. Horrible people and I hope that they get taken down for their illegal scams. No wonder when I looked them up there were many links for legal help to sue them for harassment and fraud.

I got a collection account from them stating that I owed $118 for a sprint account I had. Although I didn't feel that I truly owed that, I still paid it. I paid online and left a message asking them to remove the account from my credit report. They did within a couple of days which I thought was great. Nothing to complain about here.
