I've been using summit for years & never had a problem. They are always helpful, professional & always exceed at their service 🙌 I look forward to building my future with summit credit union!

Credit union that acts like a big bank. Fees to have a debit card, no free checks. Charged me a $5.00 "account inactivity fee" with no warning beforehand. Thankfully I read my statements. I have no doubt that they would have happily continued to do that until the account was drained and then start tacking on "negative balance" fees. EDIT - Your member service team could have refunded my $5 when I called prior to leaving this review, but refused to do so, thus I closed my account.

I have had nothing but a wonderful experience with Summit Credit Union, for checking, savings, a mortgage, and two personal loans...Maybe all these 1-star reviews are for the American Pkwy branch? I have never been there, so I can't speak to that particular location's attitudes or service, but don't let all these negative reviews keep you from using them at a different location.

Higher rates then other credit unions in Dane County, rude, waited in the lobby for over an hour with an appointment. UW has lower rates. I wouldnt recommend anyone to Summit Credit Union. Once was a great local bank, but now is full of big bank type attitudes.

This is my credit union, and has been for ten years running, now. Make sure to go inside sometimes, as they occasionally have things like grilled hot dogs being given away to inside customers (I suppose those don't work well in the pneumatic tubes for the drive through).

Do not attempt to use their message system on your account. They don't read the responses in their entirety, ask the same questions after you already answered them - which come across snotty and uncaring in their replies. After 20 years with them i am moving my personal account because of this experience. Thank God for competition!!!! Update: to clarify, the American Prkwy location has always been the most respectful, helpful, and customer focus. The manager worked hard to rectify this situation. With that said, Summit Corporate is in need of good overhaul with how they can better assist customers remotely and make sure their processes make sense. My experience is unacceptable with todays technology. If i didn't drive 9 hours the following day to get the cashiers check that should have been wired, I would have lost a pass through deal which provided a 35% return +. So i moved my stars for this location to 4 but for Summit overall it is still a 1 to be fair. Based on my experiences with other financial institutions.

Staff here = absolutely wonderful! Jolene is my absolute favorite. They're so professional, friendly and extremely helpful! Everyone I've worked with, from a car loan to homeowners loan were extremely helpful! Thank you, your service is spectacular, employees have big hearts and always a big smile!

When my husband and I moved to WI I researched banks in the area to get established with. We knew we would eventually be buying a home and wanted to start that financial relationship with a local credit union. At first I loved Summit. The lady who opened our account was very nice and everyone seemed welcoming. However their ATMs are very outdated and don't allow deposits as do many other banks. Also the last two experiences I had with a loan officer to get advice was not a pleasant experience. Both times they made me feel inadequate for even 'needing' a loan. Almost like if it wasn't an easy cut a dry application they weren't interested. They advertise so much about wanting to help and advice their customers however treating them as though they are beneath you is distasteful and unprofessional. Im still in the market for an auto loan and will be looking into a home loan in the next 2 years. However Im pretty sure it won't be with this credit union.

In these hard economic times we sometimes need a little helping hand. Summit CU helped my family and I when no Bank would. I wont soon forget the way they treated me... I left feeling dignified and not belittled, as banking employees like to make feel. I am now a member. I closed my old bank account. Best move Ive made in years.

Terrible service. Making this review late this was awhile ago, but no matter it still rings true today. Blonde woman working the counter was rude, not worried about my time or helping me as I had to run to an appointment shortly after depositing a check.
