Would have been nice to have done all of my previous mortgages with them. No doubt this was my best mortgage loan experience thanks to Chris, Jason and Brittany. In about 3 weeks I closed on my loan although I was skeptical when Chris initially told me it could be done. Everything for me was so simple from the easy online application to the great communication from everyone involved. Without a doubt I would definitely do business with Chris and Southeast Mortgage and I highly recommend them.

This was the fastest, most accurate, professional experience I've ever had in purchasing a home. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a home loan. Everything from pre-approval to closing was handled timely and professional. Angela even found a way to change my financing mid-purchase which allowed us to buy our new home with no money down AND arranged for a power of attorney so my wife didn’t have to fly down for the closing. I’ve still never met Angela in person but she continues to follow up with us after the sale to make sure the move goes smoothly and we don’t fall prey to scams. We’ve purchased 3 other homes in various parts of the country but Angela and her team are superior to any we’ve ever dealt with! Simply Outstanding!

If I could give Pete Peters and his team 10 stars, I certainly would because they were just that awesome. They made my homebuying experience one for the books and this was my second homebuying process. Excellent service, very professional, and all around a great team to work with. I will never recommend anyone to use this lender. This was the worst experience of my life. Buying a home should be the most exciting time of your life but it wasn't for me. I had to deal with miscommunication, changing of the closing cost (5 times to be exact even up to hours the day of closing), asking for documents that didn't have anything to do with the loan, and even the lies that was told. The 3 Kim's with Southeast Mortgage are triple trouble (Kim Harris-Lublink, Kim Mitchell, and Kim Bishop). FIND YOU ANOTHER LENDER!!!!!!

I just purchased my home with assistance of my loan officer Demetrius Lockett who was very, very attentive, knowledgeable and responsive Mr. Lockett walked me through the process which eliminated some of my stressful days. Thank you Demetrius Lockett for for being awesome.

Isaac Berry at Southeast Mortgage is by far the best in the business. He came highly recommended by a close friend, and after using Isaac for the purchase of our first home it was no surprise why. He explains everything in detail and makes you feel as if you are his only client.

My wife and I are in our retirement dream home thanks to Southeast Mortgage. The deal simply would not have happened without their quick action and personal dedication. We found a property where we had an instant emotional connection. It was exactly what we were look for in a retirement home. We were working through the closing process with one of the large mortgage lenders. Things were moving along until we had an issue with that lender late in the process. There was a challenge that would have necessitated us to move the closing date and likely lose the house. It was at that point where we got connected to Chris Coulter and Southeast Mortgage. I talked to Chris for 20 minutes, and he proposed several options. We quickly narrowed down to the best option, and the Southeast team went into action. The hiccup with the other lender came late in the closing process, so timing was absolutely critical. Chris and the rest of the Southeast team (Jessica Franks, Jason Macwan, and Ivan Cabrera) walked me through the entire process, answered every question, and were encouraging all the way. We were able to meet the target closing date and sign for the house on time. Lenders go through the financing process many, many times a year. They understand the process completely. It can get old. What Southeast understands is that even though they run the process continually, the Borrower doesn’t. It is the most important thing in the world to the Borrower when they are going through the process. Southeast understood that. They treated me as if I was their only customer. Not going to point the finger at the agent or the company. But this buying procedure was very unorganized. The portal and or directions left us in the dark several times. Actually everytime after the first time we used it. Had to have agent sign things for me. Didn't get to see important papers that my wife could while at work. There was no list of stuff to get gathered up at the beginning. Get this. Then get those. Then these. All the way through the process. To include down to the last week. One didn't make it to us in time. Lucky we didn't need it. Would of rather got 10 things I didn't need, over 1 thing last minute. Now they where always pleasant to speak with. The process of getting the loan was like it was the first they had ever done. Not the way I like to do business.

Jason Smith is one of the best loan offers around. New construction start up communites can have there challenges. My buyer clients had many before getting to the closing table. Jason communication skills are excellent. He listened to my buyers concerns and updated them regarding the status of their loan process and rate. 10/28/2017 We recently moved into Park Place On Avalon. We are FIRST time home buyers and let me tell you this was one of the best first time experiences ever. Our house started to be built on June 19, 2017 , completed on October 12, 2017 moved in that following weekend. LaShonda was very helpful on helping us achieve this home. We didn't expect to purchase a home this soon due to what we thought we had to do to from credit score, having a big down deposit, etc. She provided steps for us and to follow. She expected some things that can happen when it comes down to saving money if you don't already have money saved up. Well I had court fees to take care of which was up to 7,000 and majority of it was for the down payment of the home and in the back of my head I wasn't going to have the money for the closing date. I told her up front that the money im saving had to go to court fees. You gotta be honest with these lenders. But that didn't make her stop doing business with us. As long as they see you try, they will help. Lashonda and her colleague Tonya stood by us and made sure we would get this home I almost gave up at one point due to having short funds but they pulled some strings to help us on extending the date so we would have the funds. As a seasoned real estate investor, I had the unfortunate experience of trying to get a loan with Kenny Wilson, who I can say is not a good lender you can rely on. He hardly ever calls back or responds to messages and when he does, Kenny Wilson has one excuse after another. If actually closing on your loan is important to you, stay away from Kenny Wilson and Southeast Mortgage. What a disaster.

I cannot thank Stefanie Brown and her team enough! This was my first time buying a home and the approval process was draining and felt so tedious. It all worked out in the end and Stefanie ensured we stayed on top of everything. There was a hiccup due to the realtor I was working with and Stefanie stayed on top of that situation too, remaining positive at all times.

I cannot recommend Isaac Berry highly enough! We were completely unfamiliar with the refinance process and our first conversation with Isaac was on a Saturday and he spent an hour and a half on the phone with us thoroughly explaining the process, patiently answering each question we had, and offering his knowledge and expertise in a very comfortable and easy to understand way. OMG!!!! From beginning to end, Jaime and her staff were nothing but professional and caring. They did so much and made our experience so easy. As a Realtor who’s worked with several lenders, this has to be the WORST experience I’ve EVER had. My clients were given a projected close date of 3/31/2021 on their new build. Because projections can change, as we approached March, I confirmed the close date with the builder as well as Southeast Mortgage & was assured of an on-time close. This was important as my clients lease ended 3/31 & their baby was due 4/16 so they wanted to ensure an on-time close to prep for the baby’s arrival or make arrangements for an extended lease. The day before closing, I called because wiring instructions still hadn’t been sent to the buyers & was told the appraisal had not come back yet. I was also told by the on-site agent that it should only be another day or so until it comes back so I communicated this to the buyers. The next morning & original day of close, I was told by our loan officer the appraisal hadn’t even been ORDERED & because it was VA, it could take 1-2 WEEKS. Turns out, my clients’ appraisal was supposed to be ordered with the other homes on that street, closing on the same day. However, the lender & builder purposely left my clients lot out because they wanted to get the other appraisals back to ensure my clients lot appraised & they wouldn’t lose money (this I did not find out until later). On top of that, we were set to close on a Tuesday which is when I found out the appraisal hadn’t been ordered. Instead of ordering the appraisal ASAP, I was informed that they still had not planned to order it until the next Monday AFTER WE’D ORIGINALLY EXPECTED TO CLOSE & the 1-2 week countdown would start then (this I would not have known if our loan officer’s supervisor had not said it by mistake). It wouldn’t have been as bad if the lender communicated that our date would be pushed back BEFORE THE DAY OF CLOSE, but we were given about 5 different close dates after realizing that we weren’t closing on time & closed at the end of April. Both the lender & the builder made this transaction so stressful, I will make sure that I deter ANY & ALL of my clients from using this company! Awful, Awful, Awful!

Brent and Janine did an excellent job during the entire loan process. Excellent communication and a real spirit of helpfulness consistently were demonstrated to us. They got everything processed and closed with a 3 day due diligence, appraisal and loan approval in 22 days. This was a 5 star professional and very positive experience.

Jamie Bailey and her team did a great job. My client needed an edge on the home they wanted. It was vacant. Other mortgage companies were requiring a 30 day lead time. Jamie said 3 weeks was no problem. And her team performed just as they said they would. We beat out 15 other offers. We had to go 25K over list price to get it, but even then we needed some non-monetary advantages. Jamie did this for us with a 20 day closing. My client was happy on the day of closing. That's all I ask of a mortgage company.
