This one is for Fabian (Teller). Honestly, because of my job I encounter several tellers, but the smug responses I received from him was not worth it. For some odd reason, to cash a check if you don't have an account with them you will need to supply a fingerprint(DNA SAMPLE). When I questioned why do you need my fingerprint (DNA) to cash a check I was told that 1. That's not DNA (false) and 2. they need it for the police ---weird. I asked if they kept it on file or in a database he replied no, then my question was well why wouldn't I just go down to the station to give them my fingerprints? No answer, but I was referred to his manager. I didn't have time for the run around I would love to know, what law or policy allows for this collection and are people actually letting this go through. By the looks of the ratings. I can't see much business being conducted. 4/8/2022 Fingerprint in return for cashed check

Easy parking. Fast customer service. I went there to get a Cashier check and it took like 5 minutes.

Never bank here. They we allow scammer and fraud company take your money. They will credited you account, after 3 months they will come back and re-reverse the credit and cause your account to go negative and they don't care. They don't care if you cant pay your bills or buy food. This the worse bank.

11-20-2020 Be careful, SDCCU Mission Valley requires you to take your MASK OFF to withdraw money now. What makes it worse that you're only three feet away (or less) and my teller kept talking...

There is literally no way to speak to somebody unless you go into a branch, I’m having serious issues with my credit card but there is only one customer service number it’s an 877 number and it’s completely automated there is literally no way to speak to a person and none of the options deal with my issue. I don’t know what to do I’m at my wits end regards this ! I am not within 2000 miles of a branch

I have been a member of SDCCU since 1976 , the service has always been polite & efficient. After reading some of the reviews , I thought the other side should be presented !

Not necessarily this locations fault, but awful phone service. “We’re experiencing longer than usual wait times” 5 days in a row. Seems pretty usual that you have to wait 45 minutes minimum. Never waited longer so not sure actual time. They offer to call back, which happens an hour or day later. They then don’t give you a direct line to call, so you have to do it all over again the next day. Not sure how they won best credit union award.

This is a review of the company as a whole, not the specific location. Over a year ago I had charges incorrectly sent to my SDCCU checking account that were not authorized. SDCCU allowed my account to be over drafted 3 times resulting in fees of over $100. I was unaware of the charges since I had moved and had forgotten to update my physical address on the account and rarely used it, but had submitted a mail forwarding with the post office for all of my mail in the event that I forgot to update any of my accounts. I never received any mail from SDCCU about this issue prior to me contacting them. The way I found there was unpaid balance was through my credit report. I immediately tried to log into my account to see what had happened, but they had closed my account that I had for ~25years without ever emailing or calling me to see if I was aware of what had happened. I called customer service and they sent me a form to dispute. I filled out the form and returned but never heard back. I called to follow up and even visited in person when I was on vacation in San Diego, only to hear it was being reviewed by a committee. instead of working with me to resolve they'd rather just put a blemish on my credit and not get paid. I can't believe this is how they treat their member who has been with them for years without any previous issues and who is actively trying to resolve. This is not a company to do business with if you value your credit rating.
