I was 100% satisfied with my recent car purchase. I went in not knowing I would drive away with anything, knowing my credit wasn’t too great, but the Salesman Walter Thomas and crew was able to get me a great deal. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle with them.

I wanted to thank my salesman Walter Thomas! I had my Scion tc for 14 years and was nervous about purchasing a new vehicle. I almost walked away from the entire car lot as a whole. Walter was very patient and knowledgeable during the experience. I am so happy with my New Mazda 3 Perferred Sedan! I am Glad I had Water to walk me through it all. Ask for Walter Thomas for your next new car!

Just dropped off our Mazda for service for the first time here and had a very welcoming experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, and Eddy was a fantastic shuttle driver. I was back home within a half hour of dropping off the car. We’re happy to find a great dealer and service center close to home!

I had a wonderful experience purchasing a used car today! A very special thank you to Will, Walter, Warren and Laila. They ALL delivered exceptional customer service and found us a car within our budget. They also explained everything we asked and thoroughly went through the paperwork process!

I brought my SUV here for an oil change service and they went above and beyond. A courtesy ride home and then a ride back to pick up my vehicle. On top of getting my vehicle right, they also washed it for me . Rebecca was really nice and helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. Very professional and pleasant. I definitely will be taking my vehicle back to address any mechanical issues in the future.

READ THiS ! I was scheduled for a test drive at the Russ Darrow Metro Mazda location with Autumn. When I called to confirm appointment with Autumn she said the vehicle was sold the day BEFORE my appointment. Later that same day I saw the exact vehicle I was scheduled to test drive on the website at a Higher price. I called Autumn and asked what was going on with this vehicle. She told me maybe the customer returned the vehicle. When? Whatever you’re thinking at this point was also my response. She put me on hold and returned with this explanation. Autumn said her manager Don told her sometimes when a customer purchases a vehicle the price they paid for it shows on the website. It’s a glitch in the system they are working on. But what I don’t understand is why is the vehicle now listed as “New Listing” . I have the screenshots. Just sharing my experience.

We were looking to purchase a second reliable car for our household and purchased a 2011 Saab on May 15th 3 months in the car stopped working due to a electrical issue. Called the manager at Russ Darrow Mazda to see if they could help. Manager was absolutely horrible and rude. You can definitely buy a new Mazda from here but if you are looking for a used car steer clear from this place. Also triple check your buyers guide to be sure everything on there is accurate.

Bruce was very helpful in attending the replacement of my tires. I always love to come to this service center because they provide excellent customer satisfaction. They took video of the repair so you will actually know what’s going on. Great people and the waiting area has coffee, water, wifi that waiting can be just a breeze.

Walter Thomas was a wonderful car sales man. Got me in the car I wanted after I made him work for his money. Made him get me like four cars before I was able to decide on one. Really was pleased with the service. Thank you!

5-stars for Bruce the auto advisor. 2-stars for the shop. Car alarm kept going off. They tried to quote me $550 for a new body control module. Went somewhere else after they couldn't solve it. When they changed the airbag the car alarm kept going off. The shop couldn't fix it. Other place found out the sensor in the hood latch went bad. That was all, the $550 BCM was fine.

We called 20 minutes ago and they said they have the car in store, but when we arrived at the place they said they didn’t have it. We planned to preorder it and we proposed the price we can accept, which is already 600$ higher than the original price. Then, the white manager said they are not going to sell it at sticker price with his arrogant face. He said he would ‘invite’ us to leave if we can not pay 1,500$ more. It was a ridiculous experience. He even said the other Mazda dealers in Wisconsin are all his buddies. We are not sure what this meant. Just be prepared to be condescended if you really want to make a deal with them.

I came to this dealership while in my car search process. I was not having much luck at all finding anything with the right value to match my budget. Once I arrived on the lot to browse around, Walter Thomas had met me outside and provided a deeper search on what was available for me to look at within my budget. Upon finding a car that could meet my needs, Don Thurber and Sone Phrakousonh, sales and finance managers within the dealership, went above and beyond what was necessary in order to work with me and flex on their end to get me in a comfortable position to secure a deal. Overall excellent experience, and could not have gone any better from start to finish here. Thanks again.

I brought my car in for a routine oil change, and was greeted promptly by Rebecca when I arrived. She told me my car would be ready in an hour, so I waited in the dealership waiting area. Half an hour had passed, and Rebecca came up to me to inform me there was a slight delay in getting my oil changed, and apologized for the inconvenience. I didn’t mind waiting a little longer, but she gave me a card for a free oil change because of the delay. It only took about 25 minutes longer for the oil change, which I don’t think was unreasonable. I was happy to get such good service for such a minor inconvenience. Kudos to Rebecca H. and all the service people at Russ Darrow Metro Mazda!

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. They are always very accommodating. This time I asked if they had someone who could buff scratches off the side of my vehicle caused by tree branches that went pretty much the whole length of my vehicle. We looked at them and they did have a person that was coming in that day. Bruce called me later that morning with a price and said they could take care of it today if I wanted, which I did. My car looks wonderful and he even took care of some minor scratches on the other side. So happy with the way it looks. This Service Department rocks!! Always a great experience.

Our worst new car buying experience. DO NOT waste your time coming here, they are manipulative and they raised the price from their online site by over FIVE GRAND! Don and Chris wasted 3 hours of our time. We drove from over an hour away, and they say “well we have all night!”. Okay but we don’t. Our website experience was a way different experience than in person. They also added on packages we did not need. Then, they lowballed our trade that they even said was in “meticulous” condition. We were stuck there and what a waste of time! I’m worried about everyone who didn’t know better that they have manipulated! We’re taking our business elsewhere and you are forewarned.

I first started off at Hall Mazda, it wasn’t good experience I was shopping with my daughter and the salesman would not listen to what she wanted. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name I worked with but him and his manager went above and beyond to help us find the right Mazda. I also don’t know the managers name but he was the only one wearing a suite and sat upfront when we walked in. This was my daughters first big purchase and she had a lot of questions the manager never got frustrated or upset like they did at hall with us. He answered all her questions and got the pricing within her budget. It was refreshing to come to a dealer that listened and didn’t act like we are an inconvenience to them. I will definitely be back when my son is ready to buy!!

Tim was phenomenal to work with!! He did everything that he could to make sure that the purchase of my new car would happen, along with working around my budget. He wasn't pushy at all, which made me feel alot more at ease with the whole process. Since buying my new car, Tim himself, and the dealership have taken the time to follow up with me about any questions, comments, or concerns that I may have had. My experience was great, thank you to Tim, and the staff at the dealership who made this all work out!

Sold us a broken car!! Heartbreaking experience. We went in to test drive a Mazda CX-9 at Russ Darrow Mazda and knew which one we wanted via online research. It said Certified (see attached image) online in their website. Usually certified cars are priced higher because they have gone through the certification process and around $895 is already factored in the car price. If the car is not certified it simply says Used car and is priced lower. We have been to 6 different car dealers during this time and this is the case everywhere except THIS Mazda dealer. Assuming the car was certified based on their website, we went to finalize the deal and when the car price was almost agreed upon, Don, the manager tells us the car is in fact PRE-certified and NOT Certified. He told us we would have to pay the $895 to certify this car. Interesting isn’t it ? Makes me wonder whether the delearship as a whole loves to incorrectly market their cars or Don trying to extract money from customers. That was absolutely astonishing as I have never had this experience with any other dealership within 40 miles of Milwaukee. We test drove a few days before we bought the car - our sales associate was good to work with so we decided to go ahead with it. On the day of, after investing 6.5 hours at this dealership, we finally got our new car after 10 pm. The dealership is closed at this time. Don, the manager had told us they will clean the car, fill it up with gas and we will be good to go. Well, when we did get the car, it barely had any gas, so we looked up a gas station and on our way there we saw the front passenger side mirror enclosure is BROKEN. We called the dealership right away and couldn’t get through as they were closed so we left a voicemail. Once we reached the gas station we took pictures (see picture). This was not there when we test drove couple days back so we left another voicemail. Next day, we tried to reconnect. Don, the manager didn’t get back to us until more than half the day was over. When he did get back to us, he said he couldn’t help us. My husband then leaves for the dealership to speak to Don in person and show him the broken enclosure. What happened next left us in SHOCK.. The previous day Don told us to trust him and the dealership while buying the car from them and when my husband met him the next day, he blamed my husband stating we probably broke it in the gas station. He took ZERO responsibility and NO desire even to help us fix this. Total change of personality in 24 hours - such is their service! Buyer BEWARE!!! We trusted Don the previous day due to the way he engaged with us. We couldn’t believe this! My husband had spoken to the gas station for a video footage to prove that no damage was done over there however Don spoke rather disrespectfully and that left a super sour taste. Please DO NOT trust them! Might I add that this was a Fleet car so no one else drove or owned this car besides the dealership themselves. Later on, My husband expressed his views about this experience at the dealership online and their general manager called us the same day, trying to rectify the situation in the next few days. It’s been over 3 weeks and no call back. So you tell me - can you trust a dealership like this ?? It will probably be $200 more or less to fix this mirror with an in-house service center on a $30,000 car but if a dealership is not willing to do the right thing for fault of their own and blame their customer and risk it’s reputation .. then so be it. This is the first time we explored Mazdas and while we like the car, the human connection and customer service experience at THIS DEALERSHIP was AWFUL! If you love Mazdas and value being respected and treated well, there are several great dealerships.. so PLEASE take your business elsewhere. I know I will be for sure. When we bought the car, Don told us to leave a review explicitly stating his name and mentioning how good of an experience we had.. so I am happily obliging!

Qualifications first. I understand that some of this is due to current market conditions. Went in for a Mazda3, advertised price was in my budget. I expected advertised price +tax title and license. the offer I was given was missing all of the discounts and rebates. I was told the cash rebate required a financing agreement (not listed as a condition on the dealer or manufacturer's website), and also included a paint/interior protection package that wasn't listed adding a total of $3300 to the price. Took an hour and a half + my trade in value to get back to the advertised price. Overall, not the most pleasant experience, however I'm satisfied with the price and my sales rep, and the car (so far, only a few days in) is great. If I cold have waited for the market to turn, I would have, and I expect the process would have been more palateable.

Not sure if the first one even got on here but never again. I came to get my lights changed and they told me that they would never work on my car again and then tried to sell me a car guarantee that I will get approved, after waiting for a few hours I left. NEVER got that call! to call me back after I filled out the application. Thanks Dean for turning me into a nonbeliever. I once thought there were good people, but you change that completely. I had a recent accident in which a prior lease was totaled, which pushed me to look for a new vehicle. I came here to Metro Mazda and worked with Matthew Thornburg and Walter Thomas. I wouldn't even give this place a ONE star rating. Russ Darrow Metro Mazda doesn't deserve a star. I do not and would not ever recommend anyone to purchase a car from them. I have had nothing but issues with my vehicle. My transmission needed work not two weeks after purchase, I had not even made my first payment yet smh. I got the call my car was done, went to pick it up...well i got to the first stop light and the car did the EXACT same thing...I took the car right back in! I again had to wait for my car to be worked on. It took nearly two months total. I finally got my car back and it was still hesitating when driving...STILL!!! I was told that the parts are new and I need to let them adjust to the car! Now not 11 months after purchase the clutch is needing repair! What a joke! To make it even better, my "diagnostic" fee to look at the car was DOUBLE the price that I was quoted and what i had agreed to and signed for when i took my car in. I would not take a car from this shady dealership if you paid me too. They are nothing but rude to the customers. Don't even bother complaining to the "management" they "do not have to disclose anything wrong with a vehicle or any work that they have done to the vehicle they sell as long as the car passes state inspections!" As said to me by MANAGEMENT who expressed ZERO empathy or concern for the situation. Go here if you want a lemon. If I were you, I would stay very far away from anything that deals with Russ Darrow Metro Mazda.

Service department I feel lacked integrity on the price of their services. Ended up getting charged more for individual services instead of going with a "package" that included unnecessary work that I had declined. Had they told me the package would be cheaper than the individual services, that would have changed my mind. Worse that they told me after I had already scheduled my service over the phone and arrived on-site that they charged extra fees for paying with a credit card. Deceptive practices here. Not planning on returning.

Had a very unpleasant experience. Went to look at used vehicle. The vehicle we were considering was sooo dirty inside and out. Food wrappers, dirt, old toys were scattered throughout vehicle. When we got back from test drive they expected me to purchase right away. I told them I can’t purchase in this condition until it is somewhat cleaned so I can see what I’m looking at. They stated they would have to talk to their manager to see if they could get it cleaned. Given the level of grime in that vehicle I can’t believe they even questioned this. After 20 min it was decided that it could be cleaned. We left for dinner and were told it would be done after we get back. Come back an hour later and they had just started the cleaning process. We then ask for pricing. We then have to wait 30 min while the manager “runs the numbers”. This should have been done already. When we finally get pricing the price is just the advertised price plus every additional add on they could find. I also realized they were charging me for the “Gold Package” service deal that the listing states is included and were trying to hide the cost as they had it listed under accessories. I understand that it is a sellers market right now so they can sell whatever they want without any respectable customer service but this experience was ridiculous. Following this, I did go to Russ Darrow Honda across the street and had a much better experience with helpful, timely, and professional staff.

I’ve been to this dealership 3 times in the last 2 days. Each time, there have been sales associates gathered outside the door on the south side of the building. They were chatting/smoking. I walked around the lot every time I stopped. Not one person approached me. Not one. I realize that it’s a hot market and they’re probably not desperate for a sale, but this is poor customer service. I’m ready to buy and know what I want, unfortunately, I now need to travel to a dealership in the next county. Let’s hope they’re a little more attentive to potential customers.

I must say Tim is an awesome salesman. He helped my wife and I choose the Mazda CX-9 we were looking for. He is very knowledgeable and he has great insight on the quality of the, vehicles there. I drove over an hour to look at ONE car. I confirmed 3 times before I got there that it was available. When I got there the salesman brought me a different car because the one I wanted to see "was marked wholesale" so there was no point of looking at it. We had discussed my budget in detail at this point. Find a car that I like after driving 3. He brings me the price and it was TWICE this budget we had discussed. To make it even worse they then tried to sell me a car that was significantly cheaper but still over my budget but it was JUST traded in the night before. It had not been cleaned, looked over or anything. 2 weeks later the car I went there to look at but couldn't is still listed on their website and has even dropped in price nearly $2,000. Will never return and would not recommend.

I had a rather unpleasant purchasing experience of a car that I'm actually very happy with. I'm choosing to write this review about the financing of my vehicle. I was led to believe that I needed to use a website called "equity-4-u", a company which the BBB would agree is sketchy at best. They insist on biweekly payments and occasional handling fees that slowed my ability to pay off my loan. This cost me hundreds of dollars, and was a complete waste of time. I later realized that the bank through which the dealership finances allows direct payments on their own website. If you choose to use this dealership (which I advise against), avoid equity-4-u or any middle man payment services they recommend. This dealership would sooner cut shady business deals with a sketchy middle man that enable their customers to pay back their auto loans in a more timely manner.

Went to the dealership for an oil change. I had an issue with a tail light and brought it up to the service advisor. They informed me I need a bulb replacement (which they don't have in stock) but can get it in 30 min. Was told it is an easy fix and I could likely be able to do it. Went to the store, bought the parts, drove home. took apart the trunk and found the wire was unplugged. plugging it in solved the problem. This is on a car that is less than 2 years THEY RECOMMENDED SERVICE AND PARTS WITHOUT FULLY EXAMINING THE PROBLEM

As a first time car buyer, I don't feel good about the experience I had here. I worked with Krissy and Don to purchase a car. Krissy was nice, no issues with her. She showed me pictures of her (very cute) cat and seemed like a normal human being trying to sell a car, but also not pushing it on me. Don, on the other hand, was very pushy and pressured me into buying a car immediately (literally he said to me, "I will not let you lave without buying a car" I thought he was joking at first, but I figured out he was very serious in that statement). My intent for coming into this dealership was to simply browse and begin thinking about what kind of car I'd like to buy; I wanted to test drive a used car and get a rough idea of pricing. I thought I made that clear when I walked in the door, but I guess they saw a clueless young person and decided that I'd be a dear way to boost their sales numbers. My real issue is that I did not feel well informed throughout any of the purchasing process. They rushed me through the buying process and tried to get it done in one day. Because of that, I feel like I don't know as much as I want to know about the car I bought. It's a major purchase during which I believe I am entitled to more information and transparency. Additionally, I have a bone to pick with the finance department: they included some sort of 3rd party "equity building" scam in the mountain of financing paperwork that I signed and failed to explain at all what I was actually signing (yes, it is my fault for not reading it more thoroughly; this is a valuable lesson to not trust salesmen at face value). It was easy enough to call and cancel, but either way I didn't appreciate finding out about that scummy surcharge. All in all, working with these folks just left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt slimy and I feel somewhat played. I have a nice new car that I like well enough, which is great. But the lack of transparency and empathy with these folks is my greatest issue. You can do better by people, Russ Darrow.

My wife Jane and I went in to Russ Darrow Mazda this past Saturday 2/20/21 to take in her leased Cx 5 to lease a Cx 30. We took the Cx 30 for a test drive and were immediately in love with it. We came back to do financing and things were crazy that day do to the number of people buying cars so it took longer than usual. Don one of the sales manager and Jose our sales person were very apologetic and accomidating to us. Once we were ready to leave in our 2021 Cx 30 we noticed a couple of small scratches in the passenger door and my wife and I were a little upset because of the long day then this. Jose immediately stepped up to assure us this would be fixed and Don the manager that day also came out to back him up. After getting the car home we realized that we didn't have a couple trim options we assumed were included, our fault. On Monday night we dropped the car off to have the scratches repaired and get a loaner. Dean the manager of the store met with me to just express his concern over what had happened and wanted to know if there were any other issues and I explained that it was my fault I didn't notice a couple of options weren't included and with no hesitation or extra cost Dean said they would be added to the car when we came to pick it up. We picked up our Cx 30 a day later and just as they said everything was added and the scratches were gone and it's my wife's favorite car she's ever had and that's saying alot considering we once leased an Audi, I also love it too. Jane and I moved here from Eau Claire and things are more laid back up there compared to the city so customers get more attention up there I feel. Coming to Russ Darrow Mazda may be in the city but they treat you like they have known you for years, they truly believe in the customer. I can't say enough about the managers involved that helped us Dean, Don and Alex you have two customers for life and we would love to have Jose as our salesperson. Thank you all again for all you did.

In this review I want to shoutout Krista, and Don who went through extreme measures to get me the car I wanted. My wife and I came in only to see the numbers for my trade-in, NOT to purchase a car that day. Krista and Don worked tirelessly to make sure the numbers look good for me. They had an offer I couldn’t refuse. On top of that, the car I wanted wasn’t at that dealership. So the same day they drove out to pick it up so I could see it. (Talk about customer service!) The car was beautiful and it made my day. Everything was wrapped up past closing time and they continued to be understanding of our needs. Both Krista and Don were patient, willing to answer any crazy questions we had, and are really great at their jobs. I’m glad to have such an amazing dealership near me. There’s no doubt in my mind that I’ll be back.

Good deal, easy process. The whole experience didn’t feel like your typical car buying experience. I’m glad we got Tim Lewis as our sales guy. He was excellent, not pushy, very informative, and charismatic. Got us a great deal. I’m very happy with the experience, the deal, and my new car. I took my vehicle to the service department due to a nail in my front driver's side tire. Bruce Carrick responded with empathy and professionalism. He said no problem that I didn't have an appointment. He assessed the problem an informed me that the tire may need to be replaced due to where the nail was located on the tire. I appreciated his friendly manner and desire to see that I was well served as a customer. Great job, Bruce!!

TL;DR: Went in to buy a car, was told to come back the next day to finish the paperwork, then never called me back and raised the price online. I never heard back from them. If you want to buy a Mazda, it's worth the drive to Holiday Mazda in Fond du Lac instead. Terrible experience from start to finish. I called to set up a test drive appointment, and when I arrived no one seemed to know I was coming and they weren't ready with the car. I decided I wanted to purchase the car and was initially told I could do all the negotiation over the phone and just come in to sign the final paperwork, but then at the last minute was told I had to come in and do everything in person. When I showed up to my appointment, the salesperson I was supposed to meet with, David, was nowhere to be found, and we waited several minutes before anyone noticed we were there. The car was marked as Certified Pre-Owned online, but when I sat down to look at the fees I was told it would be an additional $1900 for certification. Additionally, Chris informed me that the only way I could get the advertised price was if I financed through them. He took all of my information for a finance application and told me over and over again that he would call me at noon the next day with the final numbers. He never called me, was "unavailable" when I called, and ignored my email. The next day, I saw that the online price had been increased by $1000. 2 days later, David, the original salesman, called me to say that on the day of my original appointment, he had called and left me a message saying not to come in because he couldn't find the title. He then assured me that he was not aware of the online price increase and that he should have the title soon and would call me by 3 pm that day. I never received the voicemail he mentioned, and of course, he never called back about the title. The salespeople at Russ Darrow Metro Mazda are dishonest and difficult to work with. I called Holiday Mazda in Fond du Lac and had my paperwork emailed to me the same day, and went in to get my car the next day. I would highly discourage anyone from buying a used car at Russ Darrow Metro Mazda and encourage them to go to Holiday Mazda or somewhere else instead.

I scheduled an appointment to have splash guards installed on my car. I expected just to have that done. Instead I was also given a multi point inspection and a car wash. That’s nice but I didn’t ask to have that done. The service department should have informed me they were doing this .Also the price on their installed price on their website for splash guards and installation about $40 less than what I paid.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP This dealership is terrible. From the sales staff to the service techs I have had nobody that I felt was either professional or competent. They offered deals to me when I bought my vehicle that interested me and convinced me to purchase and when we were signing the paperwork they changed the deals. Said they had made a mistake and were sorry but they could not honor what they promised me. I listed to other sales staff joking and laughing about other customers they had dealt with. I watched the lot attendant shrug off helping a salesperson clean a vehicle that was being prepped for sale while the customer looked on completely blown away at the attitude the attendant had. Service is terrible. Almost never have an appointment available. Unless its an oil change or tire rotation they cant seem to diagnose a problem and fix it. Service Reps seem overwhelmed with paper work and don't pay attention to what you say or ask for. Worst experience I have ever had in the 40 years I have been driving.

We spent several weeks researching and test driving the Mazda CX-5 at about five different dealerships in SE Wisconsin. After several visits to Russ Darrow Mazda we finally drove away with our used CX-5 Touring. Of all the dealerships we visited Russ Darrow Mazda of Greenfield was the most professional, considerate and focused on finding the right vehicle for you. We were fortunate to have worked with Kelly Murray throughout the process. She was knowledgeable, understanding and a pleasure to work with. Purchasing a new car can be an exhausting process. Russ Darrow helps make the process a more satisfying experience than most. That said, Russ Darrow is no different than most dealerships with all the add-on fees that provide little value to the consumer. We expected this and were able to navigate through the process, but it is exhausting nonetheless. All in all, if you’re in the market for a vehicle purchase, I would highly recommend Russ Darrow of Greenfield, and specifically Kelly Murray.

First couple of experiences were great until my last buying experience. Went to lease a vehicle and found out that Russ Darrow metro Mazda never paid off my previous lease/w excess miles. After putting down $4500 for mileage of which $3800 was for excess mileage and rest was for upfront fees for new lease I got a bill from chase for $742 for what they said was for overage in miles on previous lease..I tried talking to Management there and their excuse was they couldn’t find the paperwork for the deal, so to keep me from getting worse credit the $700+ needed to be paid....I even showed them the paperwork for new lease and no money from me was owed except the $4500 I put down...I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AT RUSS DARROW METRO MAZDA AGAIN TOTAL DISSAPPOINTMENT

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. We bought our car from Russ Darrow from out of state in February 2019, we live in Lexington, KY. We knew the car we wanted, waited for a good deal, reputation of Russ Darrow seemed good, got in touch with them. WE ARE STILL DEALING WITH ISSUES WITH THIS DEALERSHIP ALMOST 9 MONTHS LATER! 1. We tried to arrange everything ahead of time, as we have purchased cars out of state before and it has never been a big deal. We spent a few weeks being passed around from person to person, could never get anything locked down, they would tell us someone would call at a certain time and then never would, etc. Our hope was to have everything lined up, come in to town, test drive it to make sure there were no major issues, sign on the line and drive away-as we have been able to do with other dealerships. 2. We arrive at our scheduled appointment at 2:30and do not even get seen until 3:30. Our representative then spent another 20-30 minutes wandering around looking for the paperwork we had pre-filled out on the phone, only to have to do it again because they had lost it. Test drive went fine, excited for the car. 3. Then purchasing the actual car became a hassle. We had gotten pre-approved for a loan with an interest rate of 4%. The financial officer attempted to blackmail us and stated they would not give us the CPO status unless we financed with them (for 10% interest rate!). The CPO status was the primary reason we were willing to come 8 hours for a car! He told us to "help him to help us", stating they would not make any profit on the car if we did not. When we called him out on this and stated they could not revoke the CPO status because they have it advertised on their website, he backed off. He told us they would get our paperwork together and to come back a few hours later to complete the purchase. We left for a few hours, called to see if it was time to come back as it was close to their closing time, came back to the dealership and STILL had to wait another hour and a half. The financial officer came back out around 9PM and "somehow" was able to get us approved for 3.99%, so we agreed (I'm sure they could have done that all along but were trying to sweat us out). We finally walked out of the dealership, keys in hand, at almost 11:00PM. They also had not detailed the car as they had promised before we came to see the car so we had to wait on that too. 4. A few weeks later, my finace was checking the car and realized it did not meet CPO specs. We brought the car to a local Mazda dealer where they re-did the CPO assessment and they made a detailed list of all the things Russ Darrow had fudged. We then began negotiations between Russ Darrow and our local dealer to have the things repaired or replaced to meet CPO standards. Russ Darrow, as per usual, was very difficult to deal with. We eventually had to contact MazdaUSA and work with their attorney to get Russ Darrow to complete the repairs and replacements needed. We finally received the check TODAY, 11 months later, after months and months of phone calls and emails, to do the alterations and get the car up to CPO standards. 5. We are still struggling currently to get my car legal and registered in the state of Kentucky. During the sale, Russ Darrow forgot to sign and notarize the purchase of sale, which I need to register my car here. We have spent the last few weeks trying to get someone at the dealership to sign and notarize the form so I can register my car. We even sent them the form already completed, they just needed to sign and send it back. Last we were told, their corporate office refused...for no particular reason that they could give us. Luckily, our county clerk/police department here have been very understanding with all the complications of COVID and I have not gotten in trouble for not being able to register my car yet. If we can just get the proof of sale signed by them we can finally be DONE with any and all interactions with Russ Darrow!!! I love my car but Russ Darrow is a NIGHTMARE!

Terribly disappointing experience. Unresponsive and disreputable. Darrow solicited me with a letter providing an opportunity to end lease early and enter into new lease for a reduced payment. They assured me in that letter that there wasn’t a catch. Straight out good deal. Unfortunately they were lying. It was a bait and switch. I had left 5 messages for the salesman and sales manager. None were returned. When I finally did speak to someone as the deal was expiring they then revealed the scam. There were several catches and specifics. I encourage you to do business with a more reputable and responsive dealer. Don’t let Darrow waste your time and money.

I went into the dealership on 1/26 and told them I wanted a Mazda and I wanted it asap. Sage worked with me to pick out a car that I liked most. Throughout the whole process, everyone I met was awesome. I was on a time crunch and needed to come back the next day to finish the purchase. They had me in and out driving my Mazda within a couple hours. Sage was available any time I needed him and the rest of the team was readily available as well. I highly recommend Metro Mazda to anyone looking for a new vehicle. From JP my car sales man to the finance manager and even the sales manager Don, I was treated with such care and the team literally went above and beyond to get me in my vehicle of choice. I never once felt pressured during the process and felt like everyone I spoke to made it top priority that I was taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. Russ Darrow Metro Mazda is a joke. This car dealership will scam you and lie to you. Give you false information about your trade in and then tell you totally something else on the worth of your vehicle other than what there online tool says your vehicle is worth. They will raise your interest rate and add a $3798 dollar package to all the vehicles new or used and tell you that you have to have it. They are thieves and liars. If I could give them a negative I would. I also called to complain to upper management and got NO response. I emailed a complaint to the corporate center, I had received NO CALL BACK or return Email. Instead I get the same management team to text and call me every other day and asked me if I wanna finance a different car. I recommend that you avoid this dealership at all costs. They will try and take your money by any means necessary.

I went into Russ Darrow Metro Mazda, Monday, Jan.31, looking to purchase a vehicle. I was shown the Dodge Ram 2011. I liked it so we tried to sort out financing. After that happened they had me sign paperwork for the vehicle. After they said they will give me keys and plates, before i left the lot J.P my salesmen claimed the tire pressure signal will go away which it didn't. Then my Check engine light came on (once that check engine light came on, the truck couldn't go pass 45 without the engine shaking like it was going to stall ) not to long after to be exact 2 days after my "purchase". I contacted the dealership and they wouldn't let me talk to J.P instead transferred my call to Will, the sales manager. I told Will the situation, he claimed he has nothing to do with the mechanical issues that's a service job, all he knows is sales. So he transferred me to the service but they too wouldn't give me a clear answer on whether or not i would be charged for the fix or the diagnose. But because Will, showed very little concern red flags were going through my head so I took it upon myself to call my loan company I told them the situation. They pulled out of the deal with the dealership thankfully. I returned the vehicle and it took them hours! to process my down payment back to me. The day after on 02/05/22 J.P my salesmen gave me a call and told me before i left with the keys on 01/31/2022 they reset the check engine light because of "moisture "as far as I know they are supposed to tell me this before not after so I'm glad I returned the truck when I did and he had the nerve to try to sale that truck back to me again. Untrustworthy salesmen!

Had to come back and update my review. They will sell you anything. You think you're getting good treatment, but they're more focused on sales goals than customer report. My mom purchased a vehicle that only lasted 2 weeks. They purposely pushed her service date out past the 30 day lemon law date so they could try to stick her with the bill. Now she's out of her down payment and has no car. I wouldn't buy a keychain here.

This review actually covers two different visits. One in January, and one last week. I recently moved to the Milwaukee area, and I needed to bring my CX-9 in for an oil change. Having moved from out of state I knew I needed to have everything looked over. Rebecca and Nico have both gone way above and beyond each time I visited. They ensured my car was ready for winter weather. Last week I needed to get a front license plate bracket added after I got my Wisconsin plates. Rebecca and Nico not only helped me get the part that I needed, but they insured that someone would be able to actually install it fairly quickly. Both of them gave advice on the ins and outs of car care in Wisconsin, including when it was good to wash my car and when it was not. Honestly, having lived in Florida, Illinois, and Georgia, I have been in plenty of car dealerships in each state, and I've never experienced this friendly of customer service staff. I look forward to coming back to Mazda for my next oil change.

Bait and switch test drive. Scheduled an appointment online to test drive. Missed appointment. Called today to reschedule. I spoke with Chris to schedule a test drive. I asked if there were any mechanical issues with the car at all. He asked if I was a mechanic. I stated that I was but am not looking for a car that I have to work on. He then stated that the only issue with the car was some rust underneath the car. I then agreed to meet him to test drive the car at 6pm. I arrive at 6, look at the car prior to going inside, and notice that there are two installed bolts holding a crucial piece of the suspension (strut tower) to the broken frame of the vehicle, making the vehicle completely unsafe to drive as the wheel could come off at any point in time. This effectively just makes the vehicle able to stand upright in place to look pretty. I went inside to ask what the hell. They informed me that they're not test driving the car as they know it is unsafe. Said Chris was not currently working. Asked if they could sell me something else. Thanks for wasting an hour and a half of my time.

Purchased a used 2016 Mazda 3 Hatchback. Discussed with the salesperson and sales manager to have them remove all scratches and dents as a condition of the sale. After waiting 2 months with a loaner vehicle I was finally able to pick up the vehicle. Unfortunately, only one scratch was taken care of and there were multiple cosmetic features that were not repaired. I left it there for 3 more days as I communicated my frustration. I picked it up and scratches and dents were still present. I would avoid purchasing a used vehicle from this dealer. They did not honor my requests at the time of sale and left me waiting for a more than reasonable amount of time.

It took 1 1/2 hours just for an oil change. When I went up to the service desk to ask about my car it didn’t even seem to phase them that I was there that long and still didn’t have my car. This wasn’t the first time they took that long for a simple service.

My sister-in-law and I came there to look at cars last weekend. Sage helped us. Sage was patient, listened and did his best to meet our needs due to us being within a budget. He broke the stereotype for me about car salesmen. I will definitely be going back when the day comes that I am in the market for a new car. Sage your awesome! Thank you so much for everything!

I know I have high standards when it comes to customer service when buying a vehicle, and Chris from Russ Darrow, and the whole team really, far exceeded my expectations. I walked out of one dealership and was ready to just not purchase a car. From start to finish, the team here helped me find the perfect car and offered me a great offer on my trade. Would highly recommend.

I spoke with a few associates via email and phone multiple times over the course of a week and they confirmed the price of the car was the dealer discount price listed online plus tax, title and license. At no point were any accessories or add-ons mentioned so I made the 85 mile trip to close this deal last Saturday. Nice dealership overall, relatively clean, but there was a definite push for me to finance. I have no interest in their financing. Appraisal of my car came in a bit low as I had a verified CarMax offer $5,400 higher than what their team offered me. I ended up taking CarMax up on their offer. Nonetheless I viewed the new vehicle - it had wheel locks and paint protection on it - neither were mentioned to me prior. The wheel locks were listed at $244 which I laughed at. These are an accessory on the Mazda website for $64.95 (C9N3-V9-740) Why the 400% mark up!? At this point I felt taken advantage of because when I checked my local dealership, Russ Darrow Madison Mazda, the same vehicle on their lot had wheels locks as a $99 add on which is much more reasonable. They also agreed to throw them in FOR FREE after I mentioned the Milwaukee markup. The paint protection was never mentioned prior to me visiting and it was a $2K sticker add on. RIDICULOUS NOT TO MENTION IT!!! This brought the cars price up to the Signature trim....plus I can get that done much cheaper at local shops if I actually wanted it. Fortunately for me, I now have a new vehicle at a fair price from a different dealership. Just a simple exchange of a check for keys.

I recently drove home with a Mazda CX-30. First of all, I’m in love with the car! All the safety features are impressive. It is a perfect balance of sport and luxury, both inside and out. My experience at Russ Darrow Metro Mazda was as outstanding as my purchase. Chris, Matt, Warren and the rest of the team went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied with my decision. I would highly recommend this dealership!

Knowledgeable and honest staff. Even in this messy time of buying cars we got the best deal. Chris was not pushy but very informative. Dean the General Manager treated us so well (I dislike sales managers in dealerships as they typically are salesly and pushy and sometimes a little condescending) I would go back and buy another car.

Lets start with Russ Darrow Group as a whole. They are closing in at 100 complaints with better business bureau. Compare to Boucher Group (similar sized multi dealer) and they have 3 complaints as a group. That difference is staggering and indicative of the sales tactics employed at the management level. If you feel compelled to go to this dealer I'd recommend the following. 1) Take a picture of the window sticker and make note of MSRP and TOTAL MSRP. 2) They will have a sheet that outlines the price, trade in value, etc that you agree to prior to writing a contract with finance. Take a picture of this for reference. You will need it to compare to the contract. 3) Review contract carefully to ensure it aligns with what you agreed to on the items above 4) Finance manager will state they are going to set you up for payments 2x a month. In reality hey are signing you up for an acceleration service that charges a service fee per transaction. The font size is so tiny you'd be hard press to see this as they aren't upfront about what it is. Its called Equity 4 You. If you seen anything like this decline it. 5) Be prepared to dedicate up to 4 hours from start to finish. There is so much going back and forth on trade ins and purchase price. Overall my experience with this dealership was painful from start to finish. If I where Mazda I wouldn't allow Russ Darrow to represent the brand.

First time visit after always using Hall Mazda for all my sales and service. First let me say Nicholas the service tech who took care of me was top notch. I Chose Russ Darrow after shopping around for installation of roof rails and a rack for my car. Called and set this appointment up 2 weeks ago to have parts ordered. Not only was i mis-quoted on installation pricing being told it was 99.99 when in all reality it was going to be 139.99 but some of the parts needed were incorrectly ordered. Still waiting on a call back from the parts department to get this figured out but all in all not a good experience so far for a first visit to the Darrow automotive group.

I purchased a certified used 2020 CX9 and recently found out that the dealership put on one tire from 2017 of a different brand and about half the tread as the other 3 tires but during the inspection checked that all 4 tires were the same. It is an AWD vehicle so I now need new tires within a year of purchasing the vehicle. I reached out the dealer multiple times and left messages for the general manager, Dean, with no response. I also know that this is not the only vehicle they have sold this way. They are running a scam. I am VERY disappointed in this company and will NEVER buy a Mazda again.

I have my own independent mechanics so I haven't used a dealership for maintenance/repairs in years and thought Darrow would be a pain. SUPER pleasantly surprised from the moment I made initial contact and all through the service the people at Darrow were professional, kind, kept me up on when parts were in, shuttle drive so pleasant. I had a very pleasant experience with Kevin as my salesperson and the finance manager, Warren! They were both extremely helpful. Kevin was able to work to get me payments I could afford. Warren explained all the fine print in a way that was easy to understand as a non-finance person. As a young(ish) woman, I also appreciated that after my husband joined me at the dealership, Kevin still defaulted to me when talking about the vehicle/financing. Overall they made this trip a fantastic experience and I love my new-to-me Mazda CX-5! The only downside to the whole experience was Matt’s valuation of my trade-in. I was told my 2010 Honda CRV was essentially worthless, it couldn’t be sold and it would just go to auction, etc., couldn’t give me more than $500. Yes, it’s an old vehicle and has and 160k miles on it but Hondas are known to get well over 200,000 miles and the KBB trade-in estimate was a range of $3-5k. He also told me it had snow tires that would need to be junked. The tires were BF Goodrich Advantage T/A Sport, so while they are snow rated, they are all-season tires and this set was good for probably close to another 20,000 miles! I was able to get better trade value, which I’m thankful for since the CRV is now on their site going for $8,494.

I was very displeased with the "VIP" sales appointment that I scheduled. After informing a person whom I can only assume was a manager that I had arrived, I waited for 30 minutes for a sales representative to even acknowledge me. No one even looked in my direction. After 30 minutes of being treated as anything but "very important", I left. Worst experience I've ever had when shopping for a car.

When buying a new SUV at Metro Auto Mall, I felt I was being scammed with all the additional fees like their supposed “2K additional treatment” to the paint. They offered a 4K discount on the price and then after signing they had only discounted 3,290$. Be weary of buying from here. The day after buying the SUV, they said I couldn’t bring it in to cancel the purchase.. and that I needed to make 2-3 payments before having it appraised so I can return it as a trade-in. I was not agreeing with the terms and then the next guy comes in and says I can have it appraised the same day. They lie through their teeth is all that I’m saying.

I had been researching and shopping online for 2 months before choosing my car. I drove 90 minutes to Russ Darrow so tried to take care of everything before getting there. While everyone was helpful, the finance manager tried to hide an extended warranty in the financing payments. Since I had done my homework I knew that a certified pre-owned comes with 1 year bumper to bumper and 7 yr (remaining) power train so when he kept insisting that I had a 7 year remaining bumper to bumper I naively thought he was mixing up the terms. After I kept correcting him I finally clued in and asked to see the contract. There was a line item for an extra 2k for an extended warranty that I did not ask for when I setting up the sale before leaving for the dealership but it was also being misrepresented by the finance manager as "included" with certified pre-owned. The only reason for my 2 star rating is because I love my new car and the salesman and support staff were very helpful. Beware of shady practice here folks and do your homework.

The impeccable service I received at Russ Darrow Metro Mazda was seamless from the moment I walked in. I scheduled a service appointment for my Mazda Miata MX5 and fell head over heels for the 2021 Mazda 3 on the showroom floor. Certainly a better winter car than the Miata I so dearly loved. Safety comes first, especially with our harsh winters. Chris was a wealth of knowledge with a no pressure attitude. He worked the numbers for a trade in and came back with an offer I couldn’t refuse. I am all about the details and everyone I encountered made me feel at ease with the process and flow of this sale. My experience from service to sales floor to financing, was flawless. They have a reputation for outstanding quality, honesty, and integrity. I've enjoyed doing business there each time I bought from them. So to start off, I called this morning about a certified used car. I live a couple hours from the dealership and I wanted to make sure there was nothing significantly wrong before I made the trek to look at the car. I asked about dents, rust, etc. They said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the car. I make the trek and they pull the car up. IMMEDIATELY I notice a big dent on the side of the car. You could tell they tried to fix it but it was bowing out-ward. There was paint chips everywhere and tiny rust spots all over the car. The rims looked like someone drove along the side of a curb for several miles. The brakes were grinding and the speakers in the back were not working and the front ones raddled. They also said they detailed the car before we arrived. But we found an empty pack of cigarettes in the back seat. Also, the owners manual was glued shut due to the melted halls cough drops left in the glove box. We went to talk numbers but when it came down to it, it is “dealership policy to NOT negotiate price”. All they were willing to do was fix the speakers and the brakes.

First time buying a car from a dealership and can guarantee I won't be buying from these guys again. It was my own fault buying the extra Simoniz package for $1,995 but it's a "hard" add so that means I can't get it cancelled. Messaged the GM about the problem and literally never got a response. Messaged him again and still no response. Then after I tried to contact everyone and their mother at the dealership they tried to sell me another car. I JUST BOUGHT A CAR ONE YEAR AGO FROM YOU GUYS AND IT'S ON YOUR DATABANK. Buying the car itself was a pretty "fun" experience. Knew the car I wanted when coming in but the financing took forever to come through. It gave the salesman enough time to sell me the maintenance package and give my girlfriend and I his entire life story. Dude just let me sit in the lobby but am being punished for being polite. Just overall yikes. I didn't believe people that said that car dealerships were leaches but wow I couldn't have been more wrong in this case. It's an expensive lesson but good to learn to just tell a salesman to shut up sometimes. Ugh.

You really have to wrestle with these people to get anything less than 5% interest rate (mind you I bought a brand new car and have excellent credit) and remind each person you deal with what you were “promised” so they don’t try to sneak anything back into your paperwork last minute. I was told I had to put down a down payment to hold my car when it came in stock- understandable. My plan all along was to put a large down payment down to help lower my monthly payments, so that’s what I did. I knew I wouldn’t be leaving with the car that day since I needed to wait for it to come in stock, but I didn’t realize I’d be leaving without even being financed! While there, I talked the dealer from 5% interest rate down to 2.9% but it still made me uneasy that I was dropping a huge chunk of money for the down payment without being financed that day, so I asked him (Tim) if could get that 2.9% promise on paper for when I came back in a month when my car arrived. I was laughed at and told not to worry about it. So I leave 10k lighter without knowing what my financing will be, I felt uneasy to say the least. A month later, I get a call that my car has arrived and I go to pick it up. The dealer takes down my insurance info etc and we chat a bit. He eluded to the fact that I knew how to get a deal in our last conversation but “forgets” the biggest part of that being that I talked him down to 2.9%. Good thing I reminded him I guess. So I have to wait a second time for him to get the approval from his manager and “pull some strings” to get it back down. After he makes me aware that by doing this I will lose my $1000 rebate, we settle on it, or so I think, and he walks me to the financiers office where the financier sits me down with paperwork that low and behold, says 5% AGAIN. So for a third time, these people need to leave the room and “pull some strings” to get it back down. As if I wouldn’t notice. At this point I’m FINALLY signing my paperwork and not until the VERY last piece do they show me my monthly payment which is over $500/mo. I finally am given this information a month after a put down a ten thousand dollar down payment. Besides the financing ordeal, I also ordered Mazda Mobile Start as an add on which they charge over $500 to install. Don’t get this. The app hasn’t been updated in over a year which they don’t tell you, and they don’t show you how to use it but I figured it out. I was also rushed through what my warranty covers just so they could make the upgraded warranty seem more enticing and tell me more about what that covers than the basic one. The dealer says he’s here to help with questions but honestly I kind of just wanted to get out of the environment where I felt pressured and a bit manipulated. I get it, it’s a car dealers job- but I definitely wouldn't want to go through it again. I will say if anything, Tim can be a funny and personable guy but just be aware of each step in this process so they don’t raise your interest rate back up. Also Keith in the service department was super helpful in walking me through some things when I called today for clarity on my warranty. -Lindsey

I made the trip up from Illinois last week to purchase a car. The website stated it was a Certified Preowned Mazda 6 but when it came down to the numbers I was told it was "pre-certified" classic bait and switch! They kept trying to force added warranties on to the deal. My salesman was very professional and seemed like he was pressured to add on extras. If you offer something up as certified, don't try charging for it on top of the advertised price. False pricing, bully negotiations by Alex, don't waste 5 hours driving like I did.

So i went in for brakes & 2 tire pressure sensors. Was quoted about $1200. After doing this work, the problems with my brakes still was not fixed & the price went up to $1932. No one has $1932 laying around so i use my credit card. Just using the card they surge charge on another $68, bringing the total to $2000. I drive off & my brakes don't seem much better than they did before the work, & they moved my tires around, causing 1 tire to lose 10lbs of pressure a day. The staff was friendly, but i will never let them do work for me again.

Bait and switch scum of the earth. My brother and father went here earlier tonight and were informed that the $22,200 MY2019 Mazda3 hatch would actually cost $27,000 before state sales tax. Additionally, it was in an accident and had been used as a loaner vehicle for two years, which was not stated anywhere online. So Russ Darrow Metro Mazda wasted 4 hours of my family's time as well as 90 miles of gas and transportation cost to go try to buy the car and come home empty-handed.
