Ruben is the man. They should call him Superman or SuperCloser. He went above and beyond to close our loan and get us the very best rate at the very best cost. My wife and I have bought and sold 6 houses over the last 25 years. We have worked with many lenders and he is by far the very best we have ever worked with. We previously tried to re-finance with a different lender and were unsuccessful when the appraisal came in under value. We have a unique house in a great neighborhood which makes it hard to pick the right comps. I reached out to Ruben to see if he could help us. I told him I did not want to waste money on another appraisal if it was not going to close. Ruben agreed to front the appraisal cost and if it did not close he was going to eat the cost. No other lender was willing to do that. When the appraisal came in this time it was well below market value. Ruben rolled up his sleeves appealed the appraisal and the appraiser increased the value by $25,000 which allowed us to close the deal saving our family over $1,000 a month for the next 30 years. We think this is our forever home and forever loan. If not, Ruben has us as customers for life. I will be sharing this story and his contact info to all of my family and friends. Ruben and his team are awesome. First, he handled my loan when I bought the house, which needed to be done quite quickly in order to present a strong offer on a house that had multiple offers within hours of listing. Next, he has refinanced my house twice within a year thanks to rates dropping, including getting me an APR lower than multiple friends who were refinancing at the same time. Finally, his response time is excellent, which included a time that I needed quick assistance from him on a Saturday morning (sorry Ruben haha). Not a better loan officer out there.
