Had to contact their client services number because my account was locked(user error).I was connected with Dannya M. who quickly got my account back up and running. We had a quick laugh as I expressed I was doing exacly the opposite of directions given by website-something you encounter alot in this business -you give clear instructions but person on phone often fails to fully listen and follow instruction as given. run away from quicken loans. They use amrock as their appraisal company. They used comps from a year ago!!! The market if you look at it has spiked since then. So even though we sold our house we put an offer on another, now are about to lose it because they can't do their jobs ethically. Run away from rocket mortgage. So disappointed. Been with them since 2016..refinanced 2 times with them and regretting it. Do yourselves a favor and go anywhere else. Their rates don't mean anything either. They get u somehow . i have started a case with the BBB and exploring other regulatory options. I suggest you all do the same

Applied to work here. When creating your resume make sure all workplaces are on there or they will not hire you. I had a misdemeanor for breaking up a fight that was changed to breach of peace and was told because of this I did not get hired. Has nothing to do with my work performance. And was waiting for a response for two months when licensing renewal was almost up and they didnât even look at my resume until today I had to call them to get a response.

I will NEVER apply for a loan with this company EVER again! I was approved for another loan which was good but Quicken presented an opportunity that seemed to be better and convinced me to stop the process of my loan to start theirs. After MONTHS of processing and getting and verifying information, on the week of closing I am informed that I have to wait to apply when I have been a tenant for 6 months. They were well aware of how long I had been a tenant. They changed my loan type without my knowledge and proceeded to deny me for a loan I had everything necessary for. I feel scammed and they had no regard for the way they inconvenienced me and again I will NEVER use this company again!!!!!! 0 STARS!!!!!

First let me start by saying I am a disabled veteran using my va benefits. I'm truly disgusted with this company. It is my every intention to go without to pay my mortgage off asap, just to get away from this company. My DITCH is considered a flood zone, while my house is not. I am 90 miles inland and although a surveyor licensed with FEMA sent documents supporting my claim, I am still paying for Zone A flood insurance which adds over $200 to my payments every month! This company had been reporting for 4 years that my mortgage is closed when it isn't. This company put my payments in an "unapplied account", with actually posting them as required by law and federal regulations. They have all these excuses and never wants to fix their own mistakes. Furthermore, they allowed my principle balance to not change, causing me more interest in my loan and do not want to correct it! They sent in tax forms for 2020 to the IRS saying I did not make any mortgage payments when I had paid them all. They had to work to get the form corrected and still didn't get it right and had to correct it again. This is not my first mortgage. I am so digusted with this company, I would never recommend this company to ANYONE FOR ANY REASON! If you choose to use them, do so at your own peril! Mikah was unhelpful, deflective, dismissive, and unwilling to help. Mikah was for of excuses and no solutions. I've never regretted using a mortgage company in my life!

I refinanced at the beginning of this year and I needed to get mortgage insurance which was fine at the time. I was told by the the loan officer that once my credit score was up where it needed to be that I could have it removed I was lied to. Well I spoke with them today and that is not the case and that I have to have it on my loan for the next 11 years. I am now in the process of refinancing with another company and Rocket Mortgage can can keep there next 11 years.

After clearing several hurdles to qualify for the loan, I spent 3 days waiting on my pre-approval letter. After repeated phone calls to a representative who seemed to be always out of the office, I find out they found 2 disputes on my qualifying credit report they pulled 3 days prior. Fortunately for me, I was able to obtain the loan I needed and the home I wanted. Quicken reliability is not in your vocabulary. Will not consider you as an option for refinancing.

If you are an established business owner - WALK AWAY - NO, RUN AWAY from this place If you are a successful business owner with an LLC, DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE. They have no comprehension of what successful business tax returns even look like. Lure you in with a easy pre approval, then speak with an agent and explain that you are a business owner with pass through taxation- they tell you "no problem". Submit your P&L and 2 years of CPA signed returns and then they tell you you don't make enough because they go off of taxable income. So they penalize you for being successful and utilizing the tax code correctly. Ya, zero knowledge.

They caused me a loss of my earnest money and inspection total of 2250$ Because they came to me 1 day before closing date ..when I was packed and staying in a hotel for 1 day only â as promised â And was supposed to close and move to my new house they call to tell me your closing amount is 13000$ thirteenth thousand dollars âŚ..why its a tiny townhome, the answer is sorry we didnât check that there was a maintenance fee!!!!! 1 day before closing date While they had 1 month processing my application could found out everything they need to know about the property. Common sense townhomes have maintenance fees. Its their game to scam you with 3x more your closing fee 1 day before so that they get you stuck. If you already evicted your previous home , packed and ready to move⌠Because of them I was stuck in the hotel for 1 month . Shame on you Rocket mortgage, quicken mortgage, you should be voted for as THE WORST LENDER IN US đđđđ

Worst experience ever. Took two months of lies and constant phone calls to no one to ever give me an answer and then the loan ended up getting denied after they said we were closing the same week and gave our notice to move out of our apartment. It got denied because they didnât want to lock in our rate and lose money while we waited for our zoning to change. We ended up going with a different company that got us closed within two weeks that rocket mortgage couldnât do in two months. Never go here, theyâre great in the beginning but once you start asking questions they get rude and silent and just drop you

I definitely donât recommend. They roped me in with an ad claiming that if they canât match or beat any offer then they will give you a $250 gift card. They wasted a bunch of my time, added an inquiry to my credit, blew up my phone on the daily leaving multiple voicemails and were unable to come close to the terms I had with a different mortgage company. Then I had to contact them multiple times to request that they send me the claim form needed to collect the gift card. Once I did receive the claim form I promptly sent it back along with several documents they require you to send but low and behold there was a loophole that excluded me from being eligible to receive. Surprise Surprise!! Such a scam and waste of time!

Iâm a current Quicken Loan client (have a mortgage loan since 2017), three years ago customer service was fast, efficient and professional. Fast forward to today, I contacted Quicken about a new mortgage loan, started the process, uploaded a bunch of personal documents 2 weeks ago...did anyone return my calls and emails ..nope!!! Wow Something is going wrong with Quicken and it ainât good. Iâve moved on and received a loan from JP Morgan Chase (fast approval-closed on my new home). Quicken used to be a great company but they have no idea what they are doing anymore. They couldn't close my refinance because they have incompetent underwriters who don't understand how tax law works. Instead of just pickup up the phone and calling the county/state to figure it out, they wasted weeks of my time making me think something was wrong that wasn't. I called another lender and they had no issues with it and where able to figure it out in less than a day. I would not recommend Quicken / Rocket Mortgage. They have become just another company that doesn't care about the customer and has hired incompetent people.

Worst experience! Have been trying to close a simple refinance loan for almost 4 months. No communication. I returned calls and emails. Underwriting mistakes. Expired paperwork that I constantly have to update because they are not getting this loan to closing. Have been promised closing would happen within a week multiple times and never happened. I have done all asked of me, but they have really done poorly at managing a simple loan. 4 MONTHS! Still not scheduled to close. I DO NOT RECOMMEND unless youâd like to waste months of your life trying to close a simple loan and time on the phone and writing emails that youâll never get back!

Would not work with quicken ever again. During the early part of the process, they make themselves great and easy to work with. They say whatever they need to in order to get the deal. As soon as you are past the point of no return, they immediately start going back on the promises they make and their sense of urgency all but disappears. They are a shady company. They have extended a rate lock on our behalf that we did not ask for an extension on, costing us gobs more money in interest and rate lock fees. They had zero sense of urgency in scheduling a Final appraisal and closing this week upon the completion of our home, so now my wife and I are forced to be homeless for another 8 days even though our house passed final inspection 2 days ago. They have known for months that our situation was time sensitive and no one put any urgency into getting the appraisal scheduled. They have changed our closing costs dozens of times, seemingly without explanation. After the seller agreed to concessions, they took the $2500 in concessions supposedly for closing and yet the closing costs remained virtually the same. But then you go back to a previously posted quote on their app and they remove them so that they cannot be held accountable. If you are working with this god awful company, print paper copies of anything you get from them, get any promises they make in the initial part of the process in writing. Definitely would recommend a different company though.

Just a terrible, horrible, lying mortgage company. I was waiting to close for 4 months(Aug- Dec) before I pulled the plug and cancelled on 12/14/20. Good luck communicating with them. The only way you do is if you initiate first, they will not call/email to let you know how the process is going. I was told multiple things at the beginning, only for those things to be wrong. They just flat out lie! When I cancelled, I got two calls almost immediately asking to reconsider. I asked both times why is it taking so long. They could not give me an answer. That is total BS. I left almost $40,000 in savings cancelling the refinance loan. But when you deal with liars and people full of BS, I won't do business with them. Also, be careful with sending documents. I had to resend several documents since it was taking so long, the original ones were expiring. I can't believe a mortgage company so big can be so sorry! When I started reading reviews about other horror stories on here, I then saw the writing on the wall. I just wish I read them before I contacted them. I definitely would NOT have initiated contact. Also, I see some reviews that got answered by the company stating how sorry they are and they will look into the issue. That is BS. For every one who has a bad experience, 20 have good ones. Do you really think for a minute they care about you? F*ck no!!! Update: as of 12/19/20...i got a response from them. It appears it's the same response everyone else gets when they post a bad review. Hmmmmm!!!! Part of the response says to email an individual at quicken loans. Well, that individual is part of my problem with this company. Why would I email him to look at my situation. Seems like someone needs to investigate why this individual misleads people about their new loans. This whole thing with them is very DISTURBING!

I applied and quickly got approved for a home equity loan in August, 2020. It took about 2 weeks for my loan manager, Chantel Floyd, to get my package together. The day I received the package I submitted the required paperwork they asked for. Then I did not hear from her again until about a week later something popped up on my online âTo-Doâ list that said my package was incomplete and more paperwork was required but it did not list what paperwork they needed. I called her for 3 days and emailed her with no response. I called the 800 number for general information to inquire about what paperwork was needed. The person I spoke with, Bree, stated they had everything they needed and should be ready to close within the week. I still did not hear back from my loan manager so I emailed the âhelpâ department asking for a new loan manager and explaining that I did not receive phone calls back. This email was the only thing I could find as far as needing to speak to a supervisor or filing a complaint. A few days later I received an email back from the âhelpâ department stating that their system shows I did get to speak with somebody so they closed the concern. That was it. At this point my loan manager starting returning calls but every time there was a new problem. She requested another paystub because she said the one I submitted was not full time hours (it was). I submitted another one and she said it had the same problem. After reviewing the paystubs with her it turns out she was not understanding the shift differential on my stubs and was only counting hours marked as âregularâ. This is a loan manager for a huge company dealing with home loans that canât read a check stub correctly. So after going back and forth every couple of days on the phone for a month she still could not get me âqualifiedâ for a loan that I was approved for a month ago. I was told earlier that everything was ready to close within a week until I reached out to the âhelpâ department then I couldnât get qualified. Mind you, I got quotes from 6 different companies and NONE of them had trouble qualifying me. Only this company, and only after I had a concern. Good thing I continued with another company at the same time I was working for her. After over a month of back and forth I was still going in circles with issues I swear she was making up because I complained. The communication with Rocket mortgage is horrible and there was nothing âRocketâ or even somewhat fast about it. They will not get my business now or in the future and I wouldnât recommend using this company at al

When we first decided to go through Quicken Loans we had received a great mortgage rate and their customer service was wonderful. Fast forward to 2020 and they have become a telemarketing service. They call us almost everyday asking us to refinance. We have asked them to stop calling us and they will not take no for an answer. I even gave in and allowed them to âran the numbersâ on refinancing and they agreed it doesnât make sense for us. Yet they still call about it EVERY SINGLE DAY. I have blocked their numbers on all our phones and still receive calls from other numbers. Very unprofessional and their customer care quality is horrible. Iâd recommend finding another mortgage lender.

I applied with Quicken loans for a home refinance. I was told if I filled out all the paperwork within 24 hours I would receive a $500 credit and could expect to close on the refinance in 30 days or less. We are now going on 4 months I had a closing appointment scheduled for today and have taken time off work for the appointment. They just called to say they couldn't find a closing agent so they would have to reschedule. The entire process has been getting delayed for the same old things like confirming the pay off on the current mortgage because they let so much time lapse they have to keep confirming with the existing lender the new pay off. I payed $400 for an appraisal that I'll probably be out as it looks like I'm going to have to start the process all over with a real lender that can actually close on my refinance.

Honestly I couldn't even imagine having a worse experience. Closing date was set for 12-11 by quicken loans. Two weeks prior to closing I am asking the processor are we good to close, do you need anything from me are we good, she kept saying yes. The morning of I ask her are we good to close she says yes, calls me back one hour later 3 hours prior to our time to go to the title company and sign papers and informs me we aren't able to close today. Calls me and hour after that and says I am good to go to the scheudled closing meeting. Our appointment was from 2-3 the title company closes at 5. We were on the phone with quicken from 2-545 and they still could not make a closing happen. So needless to say I still have closed on my first house. I strongly suggest people to use a smaller local company. It seems quicken loans volume is bigger than they can handle. Extremely unprofessional, unreliable. 0/5 if I could.

This has been the worst experience of a refinance. Your company originally said it would take between 30 to 45 days to close. I know it was never delayed on my end cause I gave your company everything you needed on the same day or maybe the next day when requested. It has been over two months since I started the process and your team has not completed this refinance and it keeps getting postponed. I have friends who started their refinance with other financial institutions after me and with better interest rates and they have already closed. This is insane!!!! I spent an hour of my personal time waiting for someone to answer me on the closing team because Kendall couldnât take the time to answer my questions about the status of my closing which was supposed to be tomorrow 9/28 and never received a response. This is the worst customer service your company provides. I am not satisfied with your service. Your company has been very nice, but it has been a poor experience with the turtle speed of the process. Stay away from Quicken Loans!!! They need to change their name to Turtle Loans. Remove Rocket mortgage name to Snail Mortgage. Because there is nothing fast in their process.

Very unsettling to see how much higher the rate that was offered through Quicken compared to other lenders. We closed on a 15 yr. 2.25% loan January 2021, we were offered by Quicken Loans and Rocket Mortgage a 15 yr. 3.375% !!!! WOW was I surprised considering I was a current client and had closed multiple mortgages with them in the past. As for the new lender everything was done online, closed in weeks, lower costs then horrible QL rate, and we even had the infamous appraisal waiver that Quicken bankers think only they can provide. Experience with Quicken and Rocket Mortgage Bankers is high pressure, passed around and recycled through the system over and over. At one point offered to send the Loan disclosure they were being beat by down to be reviewed by "Capital Markets" to "See what they could do." All around embarrassing for the company and its employees. Maybe its because the other company wasn't paying for multiple Super Bowl Ads, or planning on paying stock holders dividends and ensuring they showed strong growth even through COVID, or paying for employee turn over rates, and I could go on and on . Its easy to ignore the numbers when you are the one offering egregiously high rates compared to your competition. SHOP AROUND you have been warned!!!!!

I was extremely satisfied with my mortgage refinance experience with Quicken Loans. From the easy online application, to prompt reply and continued feedback, I felt informed throughout the entire process. The loan associate was very friendly and even provided his cell phone number for non-office hours support or questions. In the time it took me to have a quote and rate locked in, the other guys were just getting around to replying to my loan application. Based on the experience I had, I would highly recommend Quicken Loans I received a gift card for writing this review, regardless of whether I had a positive or negative experience

I have done a couple of loans with Quicken. The first few were exceptional - the service and the follow through were excellent. The rates and costs were also pretty good - especially when considering the way the process works. This loan was for a property we own where we were going to add a mortgage to a non-owner occupied property where the loan to value was less than 50%. My most recent experience with Quicken was considerably worse. Costs of the loan (including the fees and the rate) were clearly not the cheapest. The processing staff was a bit bureaucratic. I spent an inordinate amount of time dealing with a disclosure issue that should have been solved in one try but took several - at each point the person would move me to the "solutions" team that seemed even less well capable of solving the problem than the initial person. That bounce happened a couple of times. I am not sure what changed the position of Quicken on this disclosure but they finally agreed to take my printed bank statements in the form that I had offered them. The closing was as good as it has always been. Quicken sends a person to your home or office and the closing was efficient and actually pleasant. The notary was helpful. If I do another mortgage I am not sure I would use Quicken again.

We have bought and refinanced a number of times as we moved with my husbands job. This was by far the most pleasant and quickest refinance ever, barely a month! The staff at Quicken Loans were always helpful and very respectful to whatever our concerns were. Having the website was a great feature through the whole process and I felt we were in constant contact with the team that was working on that part of the process. That also impressed me, the teamwork that was present throughout the process. Thank you all that worked with us, I would recommend Quicken Loans to friends and family and would refinance myself if conditions were right for it.

Deanna Locklear made the entire home loan process so very easy. We didn't even know if we could buy a home- everywhere else had said 'sorry, we can't right now, maybe wait a year and give us a call then.' Deanna made it happen for us though! She immediately took down our information and just like that our dream of finally buying a home was starting to take real and physical shape. Deanna responded immediately with any questions we had- we recently purchased our first home so imagine the questions we had- she explained the home buying process and gave and made sure we had the information we needed. Once we found our home, the application process really got moving and I mean moving! Some days were nerve wracking because we hadn't heard anything from the banker (no word is the best word in this phase) and she was there- either answered our emails within the day or gave us an immediate phone call to let us know everything was going as it should. We used to rent our own home- we were ready to move but were done done with paying rent. It was realistic and suitable in the beginning but we were done adding to our family and we wanted something that was ours. Deanna made that happen. Soon enough closing day came and we went to our appointment, signed everything and that was it. It was like a whirlwind! We still can't thank Deanna enough for all the hard work she put in for us, because the dream is real! With a first floor bathroom, the perfect kitchen and a backyard with VERY good soil for gardening!! We know we couldn't have possibly been Deanna's only clients but we sure felt like it. She was always there when we needed her. She took great care of us and if down the line we decide to buy another home or anyone in my family wants to buy- there's no question about WHO I am sending them to!!

Pressure tactics with "flash sale" offers. Was bounced from my original loan originator because I asked why the origination fees were so much higher than other lenders I was comparing to. Then when I told him I couldn't commit to his flash sale offer on the spot, he responded with "I am just going to remove your file then." I originally asked to just be sent back to my original loan originator, but then this guy kept pressing and I in fact told him to just remove me from their company records and I will NEVER give them my business.

I had to give it at least one star but it deserves 0. I had the most awful experience while shopping for a lender. Being a first time homebuyer I was referred to Quicken. They are definitely well scripted and do not listen to meet your needs. I was working with Alex Alkhudair and Ryan Cemate neither weâre listening to my concerns. I was given a loan estimate before extending an offer on a home and before it was all said and done my loan estimate more than tripled for closing cost. When I questioned it I was told I was given a âcreditâ but for every credit a 1/2 point was added and I was at 3.5 points to buy my interest rate down. I was charged $500 for an appraisal before they were sure they could actually moved forward with my loan, then was told I needed to apply for and FHA loan and pay for another appraisal which is what I initially wanted anyway and Alex told me I couldnât apply that conventional would be better. They STOLE my $500 after saying it was refundable but it was not. I had my loan estimate reviewed by another lender and was also informed that Quicken did not let me know about paying the seller back the property taxes which would have resulted in another $3k on my closing day. I was very disappointed in the 5-10 calls per day, the lack of active listening and the fact that my final closing cost estimated at almost $35k when I was initially quoted 9k to start. I would stay clear of quicken, my lender closed on my home in 2 weeks and my closing cost 1/4 of what quicken quoted me. Absolutely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, I never heard from Alex after I challenged being charge for the appraisal and never received my money back. Good luck if you want to get beat out of your money with this company.

We did a refinance via Quicken to get a lower interest rate. I was very happy with the communication between the various people I was in contact with at Quicken. The daily updates via text/email were helpful as well. The one issue I had was with our previous mortgage lender not paying the taxes in a timely manner. I would have like Quicken to have contacted them a little more proactively as I was the one contacting them and asking for the taxes to be paid. I felt like if Quicken had contacted them on my behalf and applied some pressure, they would have been paid a little more quickly and we wouldn't have had to wait until the final day the rate was locked in to close. Otherwise, Kevin and Dani were great to work with. They got back to me same-day when I had any questions or updates. Closing was super-easy and done at our house. I also liked the "MyQL" web interface that allowed me to upload documents, check the status of the loan, and ask questions that weren't urgent. Overall, I would say I'm pretty happy with how Quicken handled the refinance and the better interest rate is definitely a plus.

I was very pleased with Benjamin Geller and how he handled getting our loan started. He was very aggressive, straight forward and concise, and pushed us to get information in only to ensure our loan was submitted to the underwriters as quickly as possible. Every other person we came in contact with, was very good and polite. There is a reason why we are on our 3rd loan with Quicken - they make it very easy to work through the particulars and conduct themselves very well. Quicken loans representatives (KYLE & CLANCY) speak as though they are the biggest mortgage providers which is absolutely false. Even after giving 1.5 months our loan want approved on time and they needed another week to complete the loan . There was communication with representative who approved our loan and each time we call we would speak to a new agent and they would just say sorry , update some notes and ask us that the loan will be approved in time . We have our moving out notice to our landlords and it became chaotic as our loan wasnât approved and we had to also vacate our present house . Itâs our first and horrible experience and will never ever go back to them .

First time homebuyer, likely only-time Quicken customer. I had been approved by a different dot-com loan provider, but when Covid hit they eliminated several loan options/wouldnât work with customers who didnât meet stringent criteria. Understandable. Then Quicken/Rocket Mortgage was recommended. I started my application mid-late May. I had a house, an accepted offer, and was only looking to confirm financing. The loan officer I worked with (Lonnie) was wonderful! Great communication, quick response to questions. Then my loan was passed along to the underwriters. Infrequent communication, changing closing dates (twice now) at the last minute. If I didnât love the house I am buying, and felt like the seller would wait on a different lender, Iâd have walked away from Quicken by now. The reason for a 3 star vs a 5 star review came today. With the recent holiday weekend, pushing my closing back a week seemed reasonable. My loan still had to be sent to the USDA as of the morning of July 2. I sent all needed info to Quicken (online) that morning, with the understanding the loan would be sent over and closing would be the following week. I didnât hear anything from my contact that the paperwork hadnât been sent off/closing was going to be pushed back...again. Instead, my realtor contacted me and asked why we werenât closing Friday July 10th. It took both of us continually emailing/calling before we finally got any answers (today). Paperwork that shouldâve gone out already had only just been sent, and closing was getting pushed back again. No apologies, no accountability taken. I wonât tell you not to use Quicken, as there are positives Iâve experienced. Iâm just saying do A LOT of research, and maybe leave them as a last resort option.

Having refinanced our mortgage a few years ago with Quicken, my husband and I have been happy with the whole process and the continued service. Then, recently, Quicken contacted us to tell us they would refinance us again, with no closing costs so we could take advantage of the current lower interest rates. There were honestly no additional costs! They evaluated different options for us and gave us choices. We kept our term (13 years), received money back at closing, and got to skip one month of mortgage payments in the process. I really feel they are looking out for us, and that they value us as customers enough to put effort into retaining us as customers even though we already were customers. Everyone I have spoken with has been wonderful to work with. They are patient with our questions, are flexible to suit our busy schedules, and still push the documents through for closing very quickly! Additionally, their online e-signing and in-home notary closing makes this process so painless! I couldn't be happier with Quicken. They continue to exceed my expectations!

I was really skeptical in the service that I might come in contact with because some of the reviews that I had read online about Quicken Loans....don't read those comments that you may see! My experience was great and it was an easy and a short process. I was able to refinance my home loan through a FHA HARP Loan and it was wonderful. I dropped my home payment and percentage rate considerably. I was able to turn in all the requested information that was required of me and it was an easy process. The closing was easy and was non eventful..other words no surprises. Closing took about 45 minutes and done. I will refer other people to try Quicken Loans. Not a great experience overall. A year later we are still regretting using Quicken. Didn't have the best credit going into buying the home so we weren't expecting much. But they assured us time and time again that it was no problem. Week after week of gathering this document and that document. Then getting some documents twice because the others had "expired." Closing date pushed back and back and back. Paid 125K for a house they appraised at 169K. Still ended up with PMI. Never could get a straight answer on why that was. Finally just got tired of going back and forth over it so just took whatever they gave us. Pretty exhausting process to say the least. A lot of sleepless nights wondering what rabbit we were going to have to chase the next day. Fast forward to a year later, I was contacted incessantly about a refinance so I could get "better rate, save money, get rid of the PMI..." All of the usual nonsense a sales person gives. Now, we do not make enough money to refinance... On the same salaries we had a year ago. Oh, but "if you can raise you credit score 20 points we can refinance and you can take $40k cash out of your home!!".... What?? But we do make enough money to continue paying the 80 bucks a month of PMI and whatever the extra interest is! So that's good news. We visited a couple local lenders before going with Quicken and wish now we would have went with one of them. Quicken sells the fast and easy, online process, which is very appealing. However, you will be on the phone, A LOT. And spend a ton of time gathering documents, that no local bank would have ever asked for, scanning them in, emailing them, finding out that it had to be notarized just to do it all over again.

My entire experience with Quicken Loans was excellent. Everyone I dealt with was highly professional. Using a MyQL account I was able to upload all required docs. The entire process, from my initial phone call to closing took less than 30 days, and I was able to save over $400 per month on my mortgage payment. Even the closing was a snap, since the title company sent their representative to my house for the closing. I highly recommend Quicken Loans. Absolutely the most unprofessional financial service I have ever dealt with from start to finish. Multiple representatives calling with different information snd underwriting decisions before the appraisal I paid for was even submitted. As a US Army Veteran and Michigan Resident I am pretty disappointed this is not the way Michigan companies should operate. If pre underwriting is to happen then donât charge for appraisals prior to... I highly recommend not using quicken. Use a Credit Union or WellsFargo. Quicken Loans has been absolutely amazing!! My current mortgage was with Chase and I always thought they were fine, until I decided to refinance to take advantage of the lower rates. I contacted Chase online and filled out an application. Three weeks later nothing from them. I was referred to quicken loans from a family member who was in the process of refinancing. I went online and submitted my name and number, 15 minutes later I was contacted by them. After 15 minutes on the phone we had everything done and ready to go. Quicken loans had me refinanced in 3 weeks, and im now saving $200 a month. They are absolutely amazing. I have never had any company treat me so well ever! They emailed (my choice of contact method) all the time just to make sure everything was going well. The representative even gave me her cell number in case I had any questions. I would recommend this company to anyone. They definitely treat you like you matter! Owe and chase denied me for a refinance a week after closing with quicken loans lol

I would not recommend working with Quicken Loans. I allowed myself to be pushed into something too quickly. I decided to cancel the application. They have said verbally that they will process a refund of the $500, but I have a feeling that I will be disputing it with my bank. I have been told many different things on the phone that contradict other things that have been said. Be very leary! Check other lenders as you will likely get better financing. The rate sounds great, but they fail to tell you about points which drives your cost up!

Working with Quicken Loans through the mortgage process was atrocious. Their mortgage representative made several claims to lead us to believe the home mortgage refinance would be approved with great terms, yet as the process moved along it was apparent that Quicken was understating their fees in an effort to secure our refinance. The representative communicated with us via text message on several occasions - which seemed odd, however, looking back he was just trying to keep his promises to us outside traditional company channels. We eventually pulled out from the process and completed our home mortgage refinance with a local credit union - with nothing required out of pocket for closing. We should have saved the time and frustration and just went with the local credit union in the first place.

They are not quick and easy!! They say they are as I was told I was the easiest client as I got them all my paperwork on the phone. I was advised the average start to closing is 21 days which Iâm almost 60 days in and not closed yet. Nothing on my loan is off or weird. I was the perfect client with no issues, but my loan officer advised me that he doesnât know what is going on and the processing team is behind. He also advised me his loan is also held up... hmmm what does that make me feel better??? I tried to contact them as the service level is a 48 hours and it was a week to get a generic answer. The final straw for me is they wanted to know my builders name and number to close. Why would they ever need that Info?? Iâm no mortgage person, but very strange. Go to a loan officer who has a connection with you and has a common goal to get you to closing without delays!! QL donât care as we are just a number to them! I emailed the complaint department, but havenât heard from them either. Again, go find someone who will care!

Sure, they are quick and easy...but that is just the Rocket Mortgage interface. They don't care if their loan estimates or closing date estimates are FAR off. They basically throw their hands in the air and say "that's too bad" rather than admit any kind of fault. I used Quicken for my first mortgage in 2006 and it was a fantastic experience. You can do everything online from your home or office. Then about a month ago I received a refinance offer from Quicken which would lower my rate by more than 2.5%. So all I did was get online, fill out a minium amount of forms and they took over the rest of the process. With the help of my agent at Quicken (Jason Pitts) the entire process was easy and nothing unexpected came up during that time. I was able to close in about five weeks. I would recommend Quicken to anyone out there. Hassle-free and stress-free. Great company. I have had to keep up with everything and practically FORCE them to get things to move forward. The appraisal company that they use (Amrock) is beyond horrible. 7/21/16 After multiple phone calls with my current mortgage holder, Chase, I was told that I cannot refinance with them because they have a minimum $50,000. I've almost paid off a 30-year loan in the 6 years since I bought my condo so my balance is under $50K. Feeling disappointed to miss out on the low rates everyone keeps getting around me, I hopped online and looked up Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans (I'm always hearing their commercials about how easy it is: "a click of a button"). Seriously, it was that easy. I entered some basic information and then was able to chat online with representative Darrick Ervin. He approved my refinance, lowered my current interest rate by over 1%, switched me to a 15-yr fixed, and lowered my monthly payment by about $50. I paid $500 to Quicken for an appraisal that I'm very much looking forward to next week. Home values in my area have doubled since I purchased in 2010. That money will eventually go toward closing costs. So far everything has been easy and painless. Which is how it should be, right?! I also spoke briefly (online chat) with customer service professional Ashley Webb, who I thought was just as friendly and professional as Darrick. It's nice that if you need to leave the web chat, you can log back on later, and request that they connect you to the person you were originally working with. Saving money should be exciting, not exhausting - and I'm excited!

Our experience with Quicken Loans was a good one for the most part. The online "paperwork" was amazingly easy. The people that worked with us (several) were very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with how quickly and efficiently everything was completed. I especially appreciated being able to close at our own kitchen table. The only negative part to this transaction was that Quicken's original quoted savings for us had changed significantly from the original phone call to closing. We were contacted by the company to refinance, and were told we would save a certain amount of money. We were also told there would be no closing costs. This all sounded great! But the savings were not the same by the end. We were told that this was because our home appraisal was not the required amount to get the full savings. Well, Quicken itself had sent the appraiser, and the $400+ appraisal took less than 15 minutes. We didn't really know how that changed our savings until the last minute. We also had some cost on the closing that was originally quoted as no cost. We have still saved money, but our advice to anyone else is to get all quotes down on paper and ask questions when things start to change.

We just completed our second refinance with Quicken -- cutting our rate another half percent and reducing the length of our loan, with our monthly payment the same despite a huge tax increase that we are experiencing. Everyone we worked with at Quicken was friendly, clear and very helpful. Our loan process took about a month from initial contact to the loan being closed. The online application process worked very smoothly and it was easy to scan and upload PDFs of required documents. Just called quicken to see if they could help me. Before I could do anything, they needed my SSN to pull credit, I asked if I was on a recorded line. Katlin Wagner said yes you are. I asked if we could please pause while I tell you it. She said no they cant do that. That's when she got annoyed with me. I understand & requested an electronic application. She then got an attitude with me when I asked if the electronic application just does the credit check virtually & only she would see it. She said no, once again. I simply tried to state (while getting cut off) that I'm uncomfortable doing that. She said well that's all we can do. I then said thank you for the call & hung up. I don't understand how they do not have any safety measures in place for their potential clients. Most certainty I cant be the only person uncomfortable having my SSN "out in the open". Her sass & attitude gave me 0 confidence that my information was SAFE. Shame on you Quicken Loans & Katlin Wagner for your poor customer service.

PURE EVIL SCAM. Charged me a $500 good faith deposit up front, which later gets called an appraisal fee. Not really a deposit since they won't refund it for any reason. I completed $15k worth of repairs on ny property at their appraisers request. THEN they started avoiding me, bouncing me to different team members, and changing things on the loan without notice. They ask for documents and tasks they have no business asking for and then drop it and tell you to call another person when you complain. At this point, they are telling me I am denied and they can't help me, but they also sent me a new loan disclosure for a new amount I never agreed to.

We recently completed a HARP refinance through Quicken Loans, and would highly recommend them. Kory Witt was fantastic -- he stayed in touch with us and kept our account open for several months while we waited on Fannie Mae to update their database to remove our PMI. He was always polite, returned calls and emails promptly, and explained concepts to us very clearly. Other banks we called either did not seem to want our business, had much higher fees, or did not offer what we needed. When we were finally able to go ahead with the loan, we were really impressed with how quickly everything moved along. The website was very easy to use. We were able to sign some documents online, securely upload whatever we needed to send to Quicken (no mailing or faxing!), and they sent a notary to our home so we could sign the closing documents. Stay away from this company. The loan officers sweet talk you, then he transfers your file to another person, then your case it gets transfer to another 5 people. Every person you deal with ask you for the same documents over and over again. We applied for loan on Feb 24 and they give us the pre approved on March 1 then they issue the loan approval and commitment letter on April 20 and they set up the closing date on May 30 but then 1 week before closing they denied the loan for whatever reason they think about. I used a local lender after Quicken Loan denied and I got approved and bought my first home within 30 days of my mortgage application. Guys again stay away from this lender. They are in Detroit and they don't know how things are done in your local state. Find your local lenders. by the way, the closing costs of the local lender were $4000.00 cheaper then Quicken Loans. Hey if you want a company to sweep you under the rug and forget about you then use ROCKET MORTGAGE by Quicken Loans. I had a pretty standard refinance that started mid July. I had all my documents in and verified and then nothing. I had to reupload documents because they had to be uploaded within so many days of closing anddddd nothing. I had to sign 3 times to lock in my loan rate because the time-limit on them kept expiring. It is now october and we finally closed after 4 months. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU USE ROCKET MORTGAGE. Use someone who will actually take care of you in an expedient manner. It took 80+ days to close all due to the sluggishness of the Quicken Loans team. The only reason this is a 2 star review rather than one star is because Gina, our banker was super awesome.

Jake Archer is the first and foremost reason I would never do business with them or recommend them to anyone other than maybe my worst enemies. Time and time again they make no communication to let you know theyâre waiting on something from you for the loan. Time and time again they fail to answer questions or return phone calls or messages. I am absolutely disgusted with how the over all process has gone. If you are thinking of doing any kind of business I strongly recommend using anyone but quicken loans/rocket mortgage! I started a loan refinance with Quicken loans on May 7th 2020. As of today July 29th 2020 it is still not closed. In this whole time no one from Quicken loans has ever called me with updates. Their system online through Rocket is never updated with the correct information. When something is needed half of the time it's not even listed in the request of documents. The whole month of June they process nothing. I needed to call regularly to find out what was holding the closing up. When I 1st started this refinance process I was told it would close in 35 days. It will be 90 days and August 7th. I called them last night to see what was holding things up. I waited 45 minutes to talk to someone. I was told my husband's job employment needed to be verified because it was over 20 days from last the last verification. They claim they called my husband's job 3 times in the last week. My husband checked with his office and they were never called. We are getting the verification completed this morning on our own. Every time we were asked for documentation of something it was uploaded in the system within 24 hours. It takes them weeks to process this documentation. I am very disappointed in this whole process. I am getting a good interest rate that is the only reason we are still doing this refinance. I am hoping to complete this closing soon. I am hoping once we have a loan with them we get better customer service.

In most instances, they are unorganized and don't take the necessary steps to close timely, such as getting the pay off ordered. That results in escalated calls from originators, frustrated borrowers, and a lot of the blame game! Quicken Loans is by far, head shoulders above the rest. The refinance of my home loan was quick and painless. I supplied what was asked for, when it was asked for, and my refinanced closed faster than I could have imagined. Quicken not only promises a great experience, they deliver one! The employees are knowledgeable, friendly, dedicated, and patient. They truly conduct themselves as professionals. I was given a run around to determine when I was to get an accurate closing date in Oct 2920. The given date was near the end of my original Lendets grace period. Not hearing from Q L, I had to make an emergency payment to avoid a late fee. Later I was given no statements to affirm where I was to mail in my first loan payment. After Several call to get an address lacking any statement, I got a bogus Detroit street address at 635 Woodward Ave. I had to cancel my check to avoid a scam when I finall got a statwment in the mail stating a P.O Box in Carol Stream IL. ! ! I do not trust agents at Quicken Loans nor advise any others ti do so. The initial agent I contacted was very professional but allwent downhill after many phone call to privide documentation that was not Specific in on line tasking. It kept me guessing. Not Good. .

We recently refinanced with Quicken Loans and we were so happy with the service we received. From the first contact with the Power Broker to the closing and follow up, we were treated great and it all went smoothly. They even came to our house in the evening to have us sign the closing documents! We also used Quicken for a new purchase last fall and it was also great! I would highly recommend Quicken Loans for any new purchase or refinancing!

We have always been pleased by Quicken. Their ability to process loan documents electronically has been very fast and accurate. Quicken has this figured out. In recent years we refinanced to 5% and early this year we refinanced with Quicken again, this time to 4% with a worthwhile savings and very little costs. The real surprising event came recently when we received an unsolicited call from Quicken offering to lower our mortgage rate another quarter point to 3.75%. The Quicken agent assured us that there would be "NO" cost to us. We were naturally quite suspicious of the offer. The no cost offer was true. We closed on the Quicken offer and there was absolutely no cost and our new house payment is considerably less than it had been for the previous six months at 4%. I went through the entire home loan process, got three days out from closing, and they told me they would be unable to close in time and required more information. Here's our story: I have been on top of everything asked of me immediately. I submitted all required documentation in MAY. Any things that needed further clarification were submitted by the first week of June. I received my closing disclosure nearly a month ago and got "green lights" from everyone that I talked to within Quicken. Myself,, my wife, my agent, my title company, etc. ALL were ready to close on the house. THREE days before our closing date, I'm told that I need some additional information and that this will set back our closing date. We have set up gas, electric, tv, internet, home insurance and now find out that because the lender can't close, we might lose the house. The service provided by the employees at Quicken is some of the worst I've seen in ANY form of business. And when it includes a major life event, like purchasing a home, it is completely unacceptable. I am the first of my siblings, cousins, and friends to buy a house. No one who is related or acquainted with me will ever have to go thru this horrible experience with Quicken Loans.

I refinanced by choice over 6 months ago and was so impressed with the process and thought it couldn't get any better! Then I got a call a couple months ago telling me rates had dropped and they could refinance my loan again with no cost or fees. Within a month, it was refinanced again! I have worked with other companies and nobody goes out of their way for you like Quicken loans. It's so easy, so fast, so trustworthy! The whole process was quick and painless. The team we dealt with was very friendly and easy to understand when we had questions. Josh Gay, who originally signed us up, is very well suited for his position. He was very personable and spoke to us like he was an old friend who would help us out throughout the entire process. After the application process, Saif took over for the document processing. He, too, is very well suited for his position. He was very business-like; direct, to the point, get 'r done. Both of them deserve a raise. There were others involved in the process, but I don't recall any of their names. They all behaved in a friendly, professional manner. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The buyers of my 81 year old motherâs house is currently using them. Closing was scheduled for noon on Friday, received contact at 5PM Thursday that Quicken loans was cancelling due to lack of âbandwidth â. Movers due to arrive in 12 hours, had to let them take her belongings and pay three days over holdover fees. The sellers of the house my mom is purchasIng has an infant, their closing had to be cancelled and all of their babyâs belongings are already on a truck. Down the line, everyone is displaced from their homes. It is currently 5PM on Friday and STILL no confirmation that they will be prepared to close on Monday now. This has been a nightmare, all because Quicken loans canât do their job. UPDATE: Today is Monday and now theyâre saying we may not close tomorrow, Tuesday. Closing was supposed to be LAST FRIDAY! Everyone still displaced, all belongings still on moving trucks!!!

I have never been so disappointed in a company. After being with Quicken Loans from the start for years, I had a loan officer cold call me - enticing me to refinance for a much "better rate." He not only messed up the numbers upon closing but the company failed to catch their mistake for nearly a year later causing my escrow to be under-funded (and my monthly payment to go up by the hundreds!), despite me paying more towards my principal each month. The directors I've spoken to fail to help rectify their mistake and instead say that even though it is their fault, there's nothing they can do and "I won't be getting a call back from anyone else." Apparently, the customers are not their priority. Quicken Loans treats their customers like another number, only helping them to close more deals and make them more money. I will be buying a new home this Spring and giving my business to a company that truly cares - one that takes ownership of their mistakes and pride in their business. Any recommendations appreciated!

After the you deal with you initial lender, it goes down hill quick. It seems that all the paperwork that was needed to get you pre-approved needs to be doubled to still not be approved. Also everyone should know that Quicken uses third-party companies. After being told everything looked good, I was told by the lender that there 3rd party appraiser could not get back back closing and the date would be moved. I had already contacted my apartment, bills and work as it was 11 working days from close. I had explained to them that I could not financially move that date back and that I had already contacted all the persons above about moving. All I got was a sorry and my $400 Earnest back. But I now get to find a place to live in 30 days and I'm also in more debt than when I started. I still have no home no equity and no yard for my dog. I can honestly say one of the worst experiences I have ever had to go through as far as stress and Financial expectations. I pray nobody has to go through that type of stress and frustration all alone.

My husband and I wanted to combine a first and a very high interest rate second mortgage. We called Quicken Loans and received very quick, and helpful service. The loan servers were friendly and efficient. We closed on our loan within 45 days as promised. It was painless and we would recommend them to everyone.

One of my clients are working with (NOT) Quicken Loans right now and the only thing that has been quick about the process is the intake process. They run your credit and promise you so much and then they ask for more employment information and then tell you that your credit score has dropped, but they can still give you a low interest rate, but you need more money down and then they ask for every document at least two more times. How does a credit score drop and you get to keep your low interest rate?

Would NOT Recommend... started the process fairly smoothly, until uploading documents. Loan officer could not see the 5 1099's only one. Obviously I called to complain only to have another person and director call with no resolution. Upload even more information only for the original loan officer to call and say they cant qualify us. My husband has excellent credit, the caveat we are self employed. Baffles me such a big company can not read a tax return or 1099. Do yourself a favor if you are self employed get your mortgage elsewhere. Quite thankful because if this is the way business is handled I will happily take my business elsewhere!!!!

Pros- very willing to sell you a mortgage, have a neat interface. Cons- not very knowledgeable about VA loans, and not willing to help once you're locked in with them. I've literally had their help team tell me that I'm on my own to figure out the information they sent me notifications about. Rocket changed the price on our residential appraisal from $500 to $700 and then to $2,250 with no explanation. I am an experienced buyer and know this is price gouging. I contacted the appraiser directly and know how much he charged Rocket. The appraiser was also shocked. THEN...two weeks before closing (and a MONTH before our rate lock was due to expire) Rocket notified us that our rate lock expired. Our Rocket representative promised to fix this. He called us the next day and offered to re-lock the same rate for an ADDITIONAL $6,000 in origination fees. We tried in good faith for days to resolve these issues but Rocket would not budge. We moved our closing back by a week and started all over with a local bank instead of Rocket. The process with the local bank was so much faster and easier than it was with Rocket. I would never recommend anyone use Rocket Mortgage.

Do NOT deal with this company. Their CEO Jay Farner has no clue about how to earn customer loyalty. He would rather pass that decision making process onto his assistant Bianca Mutti rather than handle it himself. As a result of this error in judgment we will be paying our mortgage off with them in the next 3 years rather than give them the satisfaction that they think they deserve. At least Wells Fargo tries to earn our business with trips and gifts as a token of their gratitude. Rocket Mortgage would rather save the $6,000 AMX statement credit. They declined to participate.

I am impressed at what Dan Gilbert is doing to revive downtown Detroit. A friend game us a tour of the quicken loans building. I think they have a great work culture and great ideas on how to make a work place a great place to work in. This building is really nice, along with the indoor waterfall. Downtown Detroit is starting to look good again :-)

Lots of bait and switches. Make sure you talk to at least a few credit unions and lenders before going with this company. Remember you have 2 weeks to have as many hard pulls as you wanted. Even then, don't trust the original loan estimate, see below. You told them you're shopping around then they'll "match" the terms. A few days before closing, closing disclosure came back at 30% HIGHER on monthly payment than original loan estimate. Closing cost was also higher. They did this a few days before closing, so either you risk not closing and potentially lose your EMD, or have to go with these terms. When you tell your loan officer that you're not okay with paying extra points to buy down rates at this beginning she said there's nothing she can do, and it wouldn't be worth it. A few weeks later, she called you back and said "this loan is getting too expensive", so now suddenly having higher rates and lowering points is an option. They did this TWICE during one loan. My girlfriend was also in the home buying process. Called them and they never even followed up with a loan estimate. Will be refinancing out shortly, and I'll make sure no one I know ever takes out a loan with Quicken.

Take the good with the bad: The good is that their servicing operation seems to be very conscientious. They're on top of handling escrow payments, answering questions and getting you your tax documents. The website for originated loans is pretty solid and easy to use. The bad is that their originators/sales team will screw you over whenever possible. I had a loan with them for a dozen years. I'd get a call from them to refinance every year or so. It was always a substantially above-market rate, loaded with origination fees with outrageously high costs for closing expenses. And they act personally offended when you call them out on it--as if it's not just a click away on the internet. Friends and family who have loans with other major lenders have described a refinance process with their banks that's simple and efficient and cost-effective. That won't be the case with Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage. If your loan gets sold to them, it'll be pretty smooth sailing with their servicing team. I'd be very wary about originating a new loan with them however.

We were working with Mike and had everything sorted out and ready to go. We gave Quicken loans $500 which is considered âgood faith moneyâ we were told. When we had an accepted offer in a home, the only stipulation from the seller was that we did not use quicken loans. The reputation and experience they had was not great. Needless to say, when we called To say we had a different lender, we got some of our $500 back, and we were told they spend some of it to run our credit scores. We were never even asked. Just told that we would get it back at closing and it would go towards our closing costs. Like.....Iâve never been charged for credit being pulled and the whole thing just leaves a bad feeling. Plus the fact our sellers didnât want to use this company due to Notoriously bad communication and frequent hold ups.

I'm a BofA guy but his honesty and straight forward approach got me to commit . Try em see what he can do for you. The closing team that I had was awesome in performance . Rules and regulations are followed but time and patience assures that quality and performance will be first class . Awful experience. Was given a refinance estimate which was great. Started the whole process and everyone was very responsive..... Then I got the 2nd estimate which was much higher and couldn't get a response. I emailed and messaged the mortgage Banker I had been working with and he blatantly ignored me for a week. I asked if I would need to get a lawyer involved in order to get everything sorted out and received a call in minutes. Ended up withdrawing from the loan and losing $500 for an appraisal that had "already happened" even though I never heard anything about scheduling or saw anyone come out.

Thank goodness for Credit Unions. I kept getting phone calls from Quicken claiming, "This is the best we can do." A few days later, they would call saying "this is the best we can do." At one point they even tried a "pressure tactic" - "no one can beat our rates, and this is the best we can do." Local Credit Union did not play those stupid games, and they publicly advertise the mortgage rates on their website, so you don't have to jump through hoops to get the information.

Underwriters are myopic and error prone. We had insurance and credit cards which were cleared early in the process by the underwriters only to have them decide one and two days before closing that they had issues. My telephone contact was very good but the support people and underwriters are junk. I will never again use Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage.

They over work everyone until they are burnt out, and then claim that they arenât working hard enough. They cover everything with a smile and a âlearning opportunityâ. A JOKE! Quicken Loans I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone!. First let me say this, they keep your personal information and never delete it. They still had my SSN in their system(s) after 10 years!!!! and I never had a loan with them. Second I called to inquire about a loan refinance and the loan officer indicated that it should not be an issue, I told him my situation before he ran a credit check. He ran the check and stated it all looked good and had said that they can do something. After putting me on a brief hold twice he came back and said there was no offers available for me. Which I find to be very interesting considering every other lender I applied to all gave me offers, in fact I am approved with one of them and it took less then two days for that to happen. LOL This just tells me that quicken loans and their staff are incompetent or just randomly select who they would prefer to do business with. Guys, don't WASTE YOUR TIME, they will take your personal information and if you don't get approved or any offers even they will send you JUNK E-mail and MAIL! That is right after they came back and told me they had no offers they had the NERVE to start sending me Junk E-mail and Mail advertising their services. I went to Quicken for a refinance.. I was clear and upfront with my situation. I was told that Rocket mortgage can help me. After I sent all my information needed. I JAD TO SEND ALL MY INFORMATION AT LEAST 6 TIMES.. for some reason QUICKEN LOANS... canât keep files together. ( I have all the emails proving this)... then I get told they canât help me... they destroyed my credit... I found a local Loan specialist... now Iâm dealing with QUICKEN LOANS because they put a mortgage credit reject on credit saying I was late on a payment (which is false I have all docs )

DO NOT USE QUICKEN!!!! Entered into a sales contract on 12/15/20 as the seller. As of 2/10/21 the company never ordered the 2nd appraisal for the buyer's FHA loan. It took them 60 days to tell us that they "forgot" to order the appraisal. We had already extended the sales contract twice due to Quickens terrible customer service and now I have to put my home back on the market. I was warned by other realtors and mortgage lenders that Quicken is the worst lender in the U.S. They were not wrong.

We were not happy. We paid $500 for an appraisal that they did completely online as a desk top appraisal. It came in 50k under the price agreed upon with the seller. We quickly went to a local bank who had an appraiser come out to the property and do a real appraisal. It appraised at the price and rocket mortgage not only almost lost the new home we wanted but also would not refund my $500 for an appraisal that was basically a CMA that a realtor does. I had talked to 7 different people and none of them could help and would give me a number to call. Worst experience I have ever had. If they tell you they are not going on-site, demand it or you will not get the house especially in this market!

Quicken loans has horrible customer service. The fees are double what other mortgage companies. I requested a pre approval for a new mortgage. They pulled my credit report twice and now are refusing to remove the second hard inquiry. I would highly recommend using another company. Steve Blair

I have refinanced my home twice using Quicken Loans, which should tell you something. They are, in a word, incredible. They make it about as easy and painless as a financial transaction could possibly be. Every single Quicken employee that I interacted with was courteous, professional, and extremely helpful. I had such a good experience with them the first time I refinanced that I didn't even consider using anyone else, I just called them, and I got the same excellent service the second time. I really cannot recommend Quicken Loans highly enough. They are awesome!

Quicken loans/rocket mortgage is a joke. Please, if you are trying to get a mortgage just go with a local lender. This was a horrible experience for a first time home buyer. My closing date was pushed back indefinitely. They did not bother to communicate anything to me and I was completely left in the dark. Beware, they will also lose documents. Which is disconcerting when the documents they are losing contain your credit card information. I urge you not to use this organization. There are far better lenders you can go with. If I could give zero stars I would. I had to switch lenders on my closing date because they had not completed documents and did not tell me there would be a delay. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Did the online form to simply check rates and see if refinancing would be a better deal. I received 8 phone calls from them within 24 hours. Told the representatives I was simply looking and was not interested. They continue to call. Even called shortly before 9 PM as I was trying to put my kids in bed. Borderline harassing communications. Absolutely ridiculous! Expected more from this company. Will not do business with Quicken Loans under any circumstances.

I had heard Quicken was a great company but my first hand experience was rather disappointing. The loan consultant pulled my credit report and said he would call with a loan offer that night. He never called until Saturday morning but I was unavailable so he agreed to call at 11. He never called back on Saturday so I called on Monday but still no call. Called customer care and they were to assign me another person but later that day the same guy called. He made a loan offer way higher than any other company and I suspect he decided to discourage business with me because of my complaint. As I write this a director of lending called apologizing And offering me a better deal but it was too late. I had chosen another company.

I haven't even officially closed on my house yet THROUGH A DIFFERENT MORTGAGE LENDER and somehow they managed to find my information and request I refinance with them... I only put one star because it would not let me put no stars. 5 months I went through nothing but delays and putting in the same paper work. I was refinancing my house I have over 185000 in equity should be easy right. They had my house appraised had all my tax documents bank records but still needed something usually the same documents every 20 days. Months into the rabbit hole I felt as if it would close any day and the last thing I wanted to do was start over, that was my mistake I should have found someone else. Kyle Thomas if you here that name run a solution manager with no solution. Iâm just an ordinary guy small business doing old school auto parts. Iâve even met guys moving vehicles for Dan Gilbert and like him have been buying and redoing houses in Detroit. If he knew how the people in his company treat his customers I believe from all Iâve read about him things would change. My last straw was when they asked me to get a customer service document from one of my clients for the second time after two invoices prior. I agreed I asked one of my customers from Las Vegas to send me a customers service document. Itâs a barber shop I previously found and shipped antique barber chairs and barber pole and a neon barber sign for. Fair Kurtz excellent barber shop in Las Vegas won best of Vegas 2019. Quicken Loans told me they could not establish a relationship between the barber shop and my company. The owner even included his personal number in the document to be contacted. They acted as if the shop did not exist. So after 5 months of run around they appraised my house not including the work they did they said they ran out of time. Mind you they did this when I was locked in at 2.9 and the rates went up to 3.2 all I can say is everything they say in their adds is a lie and a lot of their employees who just donât want to do their jobs should be retrained or fired.

We were shopping around for refinance rates and called Quicken Loans. After telling one representative that we were not interested in continuing with Quicken, we have been hounded by them ever since. THEY JUST KEEP CALLING. We thought if we just ignored their calls after telling them we weren't interested they would eventually stop. I went online and unsubcribed from their communications hoping that would put an end to it, BUT THEY JUST CALLED ME AT WORK! I told the representatives on the phone to stop calling me 3 times before I told them "goodbye" and hung up the phone. I had no other choice; each time I told them I wasn't interested and we had already went with another lender, they wouldn't take no for an answer and kept trying to get me to listen to their pitch. The worst part was that my boss was the one to answer the call and transfer it to my desk so I felt obligated to explain the situation--so now my office knows not to do business with Quicken Loans. DO NOT MAKE AN INQUIRY WITH QUICKEN LOANS. If I knew this is how they did business I never would have called them for a quote. They are rude and unprofessional in their persistence. Harassing people for their business (especially after they've stated that they're doing business elsewhere) is no way to do business! It's inconceivable. No other company we made an inquiry with has acted this way; they have all been respectful and professional when we declinedtheir business. I would recommend doing business with any other company than Quicken Loans.

We had a horrible experience with Quicken. Our loan officr, Marc Narcisse, was unprofessional and a flake. We could never get ahold of him during our loan process. As soon as our pre approval was in hand, he was gone. We would constantly get the emails stating we would talk a certain time and date but those would come and go without hearing from him. We ended up going through a small personable local company and were very satisfied. Will never work with Quicken.

Unfortunately my personal information was used without consent by Cameron Walls, a loan officer at this Quicken Loans. I had asked for a fee sheet and he ran my credit without my authorization. I contacted Cameron immediately and I did not hear back from him except for a few spam emails. Iâll admit it was my mistake sharing so much personal information, but I was sincerely misled in thinking he would get back to me with an estimate. I regret trusting Quicken Loans with my personal information.

Very helpful with a mortgage - then almost immediately sold it to a different company. We made three payments. We are already having major problems with our new lender. Do not trust what they say. Update 5/18/20- the new lender promptly double withdrew our mortgage. 6/2/21 - Lender did not calculate last years mortgage correctly now we owe $500 more a month for 6 months. Donât go with Quicken.

Our experience with Quicken loans was totally amazing! We have refinanced 2 times previously and this was definitely the best experience we have had. It was really painless. We were kept informed every step of the way from the minute we reached out to apply to the moment we closed our loan. Everyone was friendly, helpful and the website with emails and upload capabilities made this process easy to get documents sent off! I received email updates everyday on my phone, home computer and Kindle. Everyone from our account manager to banker was excellent. Can't say enough good about Quicken. This is not a review that I take lightly. I understand that my current issue does not directly involve Quicken Loans, but Quicken Loans made the decision to sell my contract and personal information to a company that is sub-standard. For that, I hold Quicken Loans culpable. My mortgage from Quicken Loans was sold to NewRez LLC several years ago. I am in need of a current mortgage statement. (This may not seem like a big deal, but at the current moment, this statement is the ONLY thing holding up another business transaction I am involved in.) It's not available through my online account with NewRez LLC. I've called the customer service number twice and left my contact number in their "call back" system. Their "call back" system states that I will not lose my place in line. 5 days later, I received a call back from a customer service representative who was unable to help me with my request. I'M ONLY ASKING FOR A CURRENT STATEMENT. I have also filled out the customer service submission form on the NewRez LLC website. I received a response 7 days later from a company called Shellpoint Mortgage Servicing. Their response says, "Please resend your request with one of the following: full loan number, full social, and/or your complete property address. We cannot locate an account for you based on the information you provided." What type of company asks for account numbers and social security numbers on an unsecured platform?! Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Disappointed. At the beginning of the loan process, everyone was helpful and friendly. We signed documents and uploaded what was needed in a timely manner. After the inspection and initial appraisal, things changed. The sellers wanted a second appraisal to be a full appraisal instead of the desktop. Sellers agreed to pay for it, but was told after 2.5 weeks of waiting that NO appraisers were able to do a full appraisal. We just closed on our home and know of several companies that have appraisers doing full in home appraisals. Since we have been waiting to close, it has went from being able to close same day as we did on our home to the loan being denied. I wish we would have been told the truth in the beginning instead of stringing us along, saying everything was going well and 'just waiting on the second appraisal date'. Luckily, we went with a local lender who is pushing a fast closing and already within 6 hours have a tentative closing date, and an appraisal ordered for next week. DO NOT waste your precious time on this company, use a local lender who works for you and doesn't keep assuring everything is on track, when it isn't.

My refinancing experience with Quicken Loans was excellent. The staff kept things moving and took care of any roadblocks that came up. Their customer service was beyond compare. Also, the closing was incredibly organized and went quickly and smoothly. Their pro-active solicitation of lowering my interest rate made it not necessary for me to look elsewhere. We have dealt with quite a few loan companies but most of them seemed like they didn't care. They were there to do their job and that was it. I felt no enthusiasm what so ever. They did the bare minimum to continue working at their job. We really appreciated how not just one or two guys but everyone we talked to at Quicken Loans seemed to care and try to help us get the best loan possible. Customer service aside, the service went by a little rocky at first because whenever you deal with this kind of stuff there are lots of stuff to review, sign, locate, etc. Thankfully though, Quicken Loans was able to not just call us but email us that way when we forgot what we needed we just checked our email. Once email was used it became relatively smooth. The closing process was also nice and fast. Overall ratings from me would be: Customer service: 10/10 Closing: 9/10 Time it took: 9/10 Availability: 8/10 Paper work: 8/10 Reason for the 8/10's were from us calling them and not getting responses for almost a full day once but they promptly replied back on emails and if you leave them a voice message (I hate leaving voice messages). The other was from the vast copies of the exact same documents. It started to get confusing on what was what and what needed signed and mailed back. Luckily tho, the staff was nice enough to run us through the paper work and it all worked out well. Finally I just wanted to state that Quicken Loans was nice enough to give out a gift for a review of or experience. I received a gift card for writing this review, regardless of whether I had a positive or negative experience.

Our experience with Quicken loans was excellent! This is our second time using them (this time was to refinance for a better interest rate) and they made the process super easy and only lasted a little over 30 days. The paper work and signatures on line was wonderful! Easy to access, sign and send via email. When it was time to close, they worked with our schedule and even had someone come out to our house at 9:00 pm to accommodate our schedule. The signing was an easy and smooth transaction. Our experience with quicken loans was very satisfactory. The loan process was quick, the staff patient, knowledgeable and very professional . The appraisal process was timely. The closing happened in our home at our convenience. All documents were transmitted electronically with assistance from Quicken Loans Staff. All contacts by phone and e-mails were personal and efficient. The finalized contract was sent via UPS to our address and the copy was a bound document containing pertinent information and transactions. We would definitely recommend Quicken Loans to any and all.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. If I could rate them with zero stars I would. This rating is based on the bitter taste that has been left in my mouth from trying to re-finance our 1st and 2nd mortgages with Quicken. Our 1st mortgage has been with Quicken since May 2017 which is what prompted us to refinance with them at a lower interest rate. We wanted to refinance the 1st and 2nd mortgages and eliminate the PMI. Quicken told me that we would not need an appraisal and the equity was sufficient to cover our needs. We were presented with a 3.125% rate but only an amount sufficient to pay off the fist mortgage plus we were being charged 2% in origination costs. When we brought our mortgage over in May 2017 we were not charged any points. Addressing this concern with 2 different individuals at Quicken I was told we were not charged any points in 2017 because we accepted a higher than normal interest rate. This is not true since the rate we accepted fell in line with the average interest being offered across the board at that time. I advised them we were going to be looking at other options and they said they can put together something that would meet our needs. I didn't hear back from anybody until today and we are ready to close with another lender with a slightly higher rate but paying off both mortgages and eliminating PMI. I also received a text a couple of weeks ago from an appraiser wanting to schedule an appointment. First, we were told we didn't need an appraisal and secondly I hadn't talked to anybody from Quicken in approximately a month. I am just very disappointed since we have been a loyal, prompt-paying customer for over 3 years. We have never been late on a payment and this is the way good customers are treated? My advice is to explore all your options and read all the paperwork. You may think you are getting the best option but there could be better options out there.

Honestly the best loan/mortgage experience I have ever had. Staff was very professional and processed my information very fast and with little work on my part. With the chaos that is my income many previous loan/refinance people were incapable of processing my loan, but Quicken made quick and easy work of it. The people that worked on my loan were always very friendly and made sure that I always understood what was happening and when it was going to happen. I had the absolute best experience with Quicken on my most recent refinance. I was able to get my mortgage down from a 30 year (with 27 years left) to a 15 year. The best part of all...I was ready to close and had it scheduled 2 weeks after starting the process. I own 4 homes and have done many loans but this was by far the easiest process. I loved the use of technology instead of the old fashioned fax and mail that other insitutions use. Thank you Quicken!!

My clients used them as they were referred to one of their sales reps from a friend. Boy do we wish they had used my lender. More time spent delegating to the multiple number of people they introduce along the process than actual solutions and work getting done. Their underwriters failed to read the financial docs my clients gave them until 30 days into the process. No sense of urgency. Terrible follow through. And a lack of ability in reading tax returns. I ended up sending my clients to a different lender and got the process finalized in less than 2 weeks and closed with a better rate. This company has outgrown its operations. Stay local, and do your business face to face.

We had a great experience with Quicken Loans on our standard refinance! From beginning to end each staff member was knowledgeable and friendly, calls and/or emails were returned promptly and we were updated a couple of times per week on the process of our loan. Closing was able to take place in our home and at a time that was most convenient for us. I would most definitely recommend Quicken Loans to anyone for their mortgage needs!

Excellent customer service! I just bought a home and used Quicken for my mortgage company. Every member of their team that I dealt with is friendly, informative, and professional. They even have credit counselors who will work with you to get your credit where it needs to be if you do not already qualify. This company is top notch and the customer service is second to none. Stay away from Quicken Loans and Rocket Mortgage. I would give them a 0 star if that were an option. My experience is a lot like others. I have a great credit rating. Unfortunately I have rental property which they knew about from jump street. Quicken did the old bait and switch move. They locked me in at a favorable rate and then proceed to get really janky on me. First then continually badgered me to provide more and moire information (probably trying to get me to give up). I gave them everything they wanted. Then shortly before I was to close on my note they called me and wanted change my rate. (Thanks Matt N!) When I said this sounded like a shakedown and would not do it they strung me along for a bit longer until finally tell me that they could not make the loan. Thankfully for me I had caught wind of their games and got my loan approved elsewhere in less time than it took me to get the paperwork together for Quicken Loans / Rocket Mortgage. I've dealt with more honest pawn shops vendors. They are not to be trusted.

This is a SCAM. They'll expect a $500 "good faith deposit" from you to "pay for the appraisal" or they will not proceed with your loan. You will NOT receive it back, even if your loan is denied. Their appraiser "from Amrock" (supposedly a third party) will say that thousands of dollars worth of things are wrong with your property. When we made the repairs they tried to demand statements for all our assets to see how we paid for it. We were told not to pay our October payment on our current loan as we were supposed to close in Oct and they would receive a payout...then Quiken Loans dragged the process into Nov nitpicking us and not calling us back. Then told us FHA denied our loan because we missed a payment. We made the payment and paid Nov, they still wouldn't work with us because the payment was late! You will be bounced from person to person and no one will call you back. After being "denied" over the phone by Amanda who was covering for Adam who was covering for our Solutions Consultant Luke, we were told if we had concerns we would have to talk to Nikki. Shocker, now Nikki is out of the office and someone is covering for her. We are screwed out of our $500, cost of repairs, and 2 months of our lives.

Quicken Loans called me regularly to expedite my loan process. My Quicken representatives were polite and focused. I had earlier refinanced with another company, not Quicken. My Quicken Loan representative found a much better loan package for me than did the previous company, mainly by working harder to get down all of the relevant data and checking out all of the possibilities. I was very strongly impressed with the service and dedication of the Quicken Loan Refi representatives. I recommend Quicken to any who wish to refinance.

I recently finished refinancing our house through Quicken Loans. The process couldn't have been easier. Everyone was helpful and Tom Sweeney did a great job. It was nice to see a company using technology to its advantage. There were a few documents I needed to sign to get the process started, and I was given the option to fax, scan or take a picture with my phone and text them back. I obviously texted them back. What a convenient way to start the process. Since the refinance process was offered as an option by our current mortgage service, we were not required to provide pay stubs, bank statements, or have an appraisal completed. They came to our house for the signing of the closing documents and were gone in 20 minutes. We were able to drop 2.25% off our current mortgage rate. Everything was clearly explained along the way and we were constantly updated throughout the process. It couldn't have been smoother. Thanks again Tom and Quicken Loans. Quicken scheduled the appraisal prior to my home inspection during our contingency period. Quicken did not disclose to me that I was paying full price for a drive-by appraisal. The appraisal came in 18k lower than the new company I used with an in-home appraisal. Quicken is refusing to refund me my $500 deposit. I was income verified with a $1000 guarantee. Quicken states that I do not qualify for the $1000 because problems with the appraisal process are excluded. I am extremely dissatisfied with the process. No one communicated to me that I was paying for a drive-by appraisal and it wasn't up to par. I do not recommend Quicken and I will never use their company again.

Do not use this company. Do not refinance with them unless you are prepared to record all of your conversations with them in preparation for the lawyer you'll eventually need. They won't just mislead you in your loan, they'll flat out lie on recorded lines and you'll have to play those recordings for an attorney to right their wrongs. They will make mistakes in your closing process, they will admit those mistakes on recorded phone lines and say they never should have happened. When you ask them to correct their own mistakes they'll refuse and any time you try to make mistakes their senior representatives will talk over you and frustrate you more than you could imagine, even after you send them a recording of their colleagues admitting they made mistakes in legally binding closing documents. Better Business Bureau complaint after they admitted their own mistakes but refused to fix it. -> No resolution Consumer Affairs Review -> Hundreds of views and no resolution Trustpilot Review -> Over 200 views and No resolution They don't care that their admitted mistakes cost you thousands of dollars. They make those mistakes on legally binding closing documents and you will need an attorney to hold them accountable for even their own admitted mistakes. "We shouldnt have done that. That was our mistake. You still owe us more money even though our mistake caused the error." The only real question is how many times they've made mistakes in other people's closing documents and have gotten away with it. Here's what to look for: In your closing documents, how much did they say they'd put into your home's escrow account? How much did they actually put into that escrow? Are they different? Did they ask you a few months later to pay the difference between what should have been put into your escrow and what was? Update: Official Response From Quicken (in writing) 1. Yes, a mistake was made by our own sister company and, no, we did not catch it even though the borrower told us of the mistake at the time. We don't think we should have caught the mistake. 2. No, we will not fix it. 3. In response to your BBB complaint we will disclose the sensitive financial information of the borrower to a third party the borrower didn't authorize to view such information. This is how Quicken Loans operates.

My experiences with Quicken Loans has always been marvelous. This most recent experience has been especially wonderful. I didn't think refinancing for the purpose of getting a lower rate was possible in today's market. They managed to not only successfully accomplish this, but they did it in less than 2 weeks. We were baited and switched on. Our credit score is at 800 and weâre putting 20% down with plenty of cash in reserve. I was told a number for out of pocket costs with our 1,000 earnest money. Then, near the end, they âlockedâ our rate. Rate was great but we could get that anywhere because we have great credit and rates have done nothing but dropped since process started. So, near the end, when itâs already too late to start process over, I am made aware that I bought my own rate down for over 2,000. Why would I have to buy a rate with great credit and National interest rates dropping the entire time? We once again, this wasnât introduced until deep into the process. May not be illegal but is extremely unethical. We will make sure everyone I know is aware of this if they even consider this company. Update: I was contacted by Quicken Loans after this review. They attempted to justify the âfeeâ for getting the interest rate I already should get for my great credit history and current rates at time of close. They claimed it was a âlock feeâ and the cost of the lock fee had gone up since loan originated...even though rates had not. Once again, I was not notified of this fee until less than two weeks before projected close date. I guess I had to pay over 2,000 more dollars to lock a rate in for two weeks while the national mortgage rate average continued to drop. Once again, way too late to walk away and start over since my family was already out of home for over two months longer and than expected. I asked these pointed questions because other lenders were offering us zero points because of our credit. I was assured that I was getting a better deal. Then, this happened. Once again, maybe not illegal- but very unethical. I will be reporting to the Indiana Attorney Generalâs office for deceptive business practices.

The easiest, quickest, smoothest and stress free refinance we have ever experienced. We could personally track our own loan process, review the status and documents, and get an overall update on our loan online - which was most convenient. On top of that, loan representatives were in constant communication with us either about how our loan was progressing or documents needed or whatever. This alone made us feel "cared for" and valued as a customer. Notwithstanding that point, our loan will stay with Quicken Loans who will evaluate the same as needed. As far as im concerned worst lender despite the reviews. We applied for a refinance for $280k beginning of April 2020. Our credit score is 850. Property in question is appraised by Quicken Loans' choice of appraiser for $750k. Our total assets adds up more than 30x the amount of the loan we are asking. We have no other major debt, all our other properties are paid, free and clear. We provided all the necessary doc's promptly. Now we are in June and the inefficient group of employees in Quicken Loans' refinance dept are still incapable of finalizing the process. Jay Farner, the CEO, of Quicken Loans/Rocket Mortgage, should immediately cease his TV commercial which promotes his company since it is not true and falls under false advertising. Go to your bank or local lenders, brokers who can hook you up w/a decent lender in a much faster time line especially if you are financially sound. I cannot express my disappointment w/Quicken Loans' refinance team of useless people.

Don't even start! Go to a local lender! The lack of responsiveness and knowledge is astounding. At one point, we were actually hung up on and told to just close our case.... The only response you will receive from them is "we are looking into it". There is literally a stack of paperwork we provided to them almost 6 inches high! After providing 18 months of documentation (including cancelled checks and deposit tickets - which is unheard of) and proof that we haven't lost any income revenues, we finally gave up and had success almost immediately locally. They don't look at information and don't seem able to understand data; additionally they don't seem to have knowledge of state laws and requirements for self employed individuals. If you are looking to refi less that 25% the value of your home, have an excellent credit rating and cash/investment assets worth more than double the value of your home don't apply. You won't fit their demographics.

This is the first time I have done a Mortgage electronically and I found out that I was very pleased with the results of doing it this way. It was fast and well organized and did not have to run back and forth with the Loan company. Quicken Loans in my book is the only way to go as they are the most efficient company to deal with that I have ever encountered. The people that I dealt with at Quicken are professional quality people that do not make mistakes. Everything is triple checked so that when any question or category comes up I know that I received the correct answer and usually it was within a few hours if not minutes. My husband and I decided to refinance our home so that we could do a few home improvement projects. We searched for a couple of companies online and of course, within minutes of inputting our information, a representative from Quicken contacted us, eager to help us on our journey to refinance. As we chatted with the rep regarding the how toâs of this process, he repeatedly let us know we needed to sign the contract to âlock in our rate.â Silly us. We caved to the high-pressure sales and signed because we were repeatedly told that the $500 deposit for closing costs would be fully refunded. This was a lie from the start. We proceeded with the application (The rate was terrible, despite our near perfect credit. We've since learned how small companies can provide much better rates.) My husband asked if there were any situations in which our money would not be refunded and we were assured there was not. We had right up to the final moment to cancel with a full refund. This was a lie. After a horrific appraisal (the houses they compared to ours were miles away and only the square footage was similar), we chose not to use their service. And the promise of the $500 refund? Of course that was no longer an option. The $500 deposit was no longer for closing costs and was now for other costs (no one could tell us what costs). Weâve reached out to everyone we can, only to be tossed around from person to person and told that the salesperson did nothing wrong. No one seems to believe that their disgusting sales tactics are wrong and the idea of us requesting a refund is absurd to them. I canât express enough what a nightmare this has been. Do yourself a favor and donât even think of using Quicken Loans for anything. What a terrible company taking advantage of people, no less, during a pandemic. Shame on Quicken Loans and their dirty, dishonest sales tactics. A rating of 0 stars would be a better description of their service.

Several options were recommended, but because I had an FHA loan already, I was able to take advantage of an FHA Streamline loan. No appraisal necessary. From the First call from Quicken with the news that I could save a lot of money with a lower interest rate that they were offering I was pleased to work with someone that actually new about what he was talking about and not someone from a call center in India. My questions were answered and the terms explained in terms I could understand. Everything went smoothly and we were kept posted on progress as we proceeded to closing. The final closing was the highlight of the whole process as we luckily got our Notary Amy at the closing and she was a delight. It is so nice to deal with real people who enjoy meeting people and are genuinely interested in providing the best for their clients. Only constructive comments would be a better choice in real Estate Assessment team. They were not rude but they stood apart from the Quicken Team in bedside manners. No biggie but still we felt a bit intruded on. Perhaps it is normal when someone is sent to put a price on a place you deem priceless. That being said they did an excellent job on the appraisal. I can't say enough about our how tremendous Quicken was to work with on our re-financing. First, it was Quicken (who held our original mortgage) who called us to say they thought we could get into a better loan at a lower interest rate and save nearly $200 a month. Once the process got rolling, it was complicated by some recent financial moves we had made that were not yet reflected on our credit report, so the documentation got confusing at times, but the Quicken team members explained what they needed and listened to our circumstances. In the end, Quicken delivered the terms they had offered on the exact date by which they promised to close, and they did it with pleasant voices and constant communication every step of the way. The closing went very smoothly, and we are very happy with our experience. I have recommended Quicken Loans to everyone I know looking at a mortgage or who is considering refinancing. The results and the customer service are both top notch. We are very happy customers.

I am very disappointed and discouraged with this company. They are very unorganized and pass you from person to person. I have Been waiting to close for 5 weeks now. They get $500 up front and itâs non refundable so they must be making a killing off taking money from people and not following through with the loans. I have excellent credit. This is the most shady loan company I have ever dealt with. I have already started the process with another lender . I do not recommend using this company you can get same offer from local lender. I went this route because I wanted it to go quickly . The only thing they do in a timely manner is take $500 from you. I only wish I would have read these reviews first before getting caught up with this company. I submitted all documents same day asked for them and they just keep rolling you over from person to person with no good answers to why itâs taking so long.

Quicken Loans just refinanced our mortgage and we were absolutely amazed! From our first contact with them until our closing at our home took less than a month. Everyone we spoke to really knew what they were doing and what we needed to accomplish the re-fi. When the closing was scheduled we received our package. Some of the worst organization In a company ever. Has made the moving process for my parents an absolute nightmare. Constantly telling us they have everything they need from us and then nothing happens in the process for the new house. My mom calls every day asking them if they need anything else so the process moves forward, and gets the run around from quicken loans saying theyâre waiting to get what they need from whoever. But then the realtor says they havenât heard anything from quicken loans or she calls who theyâre waiting on and theyâve already sent the information. They donât make notes when you call them about issues. Been getting nowhere for at least a month and a half. Not a good company.

Our first experience with Quicken was so great, we decided to go with them again instead of our bank. I understand that there are more requirements to get a loan now a days, but it seemed like we were having to send more and more documents. Why don't you supply a list of needed in the beginning of the process instead of making urgent calls that require more documentation. It always seemed to get a call from some one I hadn't talked to before. The customer service person had a team and some one different called each time. She would call late in the day to make a request for another document when there was nothing we could do at that time of the day. Several mistakes were made in requesting information such as writing a letter to disprove we had a rental property or asking for information on the loan that we had with Quicken before and they didn't seem to know that we had paid Quicken off when we old the house over six months before. They also said we were delinquent on our taxes because they didn't understand the payment options for the taxes. I ended up paying my taxes a month earlier and paying extra fees. Everyone I did speak to though was very nice and professional. I don't know if I would go through them again as it did take 30 days to close, same as the bank.

This was my second home refinance with Quicken in 3 years time. The process has improved in regards to advanced online service features (such as E-sign, submitting needed documents, keeping informed on current status, etc). My 2nd experience with Brock was great as expected. He has great skills in communication and desire to make your Quicken experience a rewarding process. My only issue was with one team member who took over the majority of forms needed and bulk of the person to person communication. She has a robot like demeanor and simply doesn't have good people skills at all. Poor choice of Quicken to have her provide such a large portion of the person to person communication (other than her aggressive way of getting things done for Quicken). The portion that burns me the most was the sheer difficulty in providing a single document requested pertaining to proof of my legal obligations from past divorce. I worked through the great difficulty of providing this court document but when i went to the website to submit the form, it was no longer needed! I was not notified of this beforehand and furious to have went through all the trouble for nothing! If it wasn't for the desire to get this loan done in addition to the people skills and my faith in Brock from past and current experiences i would have dropped this refinance, even if it cost me the "good faith deposit". Fortunately everything worked out in the end and we have completed the process. Thank You Brock and the other members working in the background to provide a fast refinance of our home.

Everything from the first encounter until the evening that I closed on the house exceeded my expectations. Quicken is so phoney, they will say whatever to get your business and the not deliver. This experience, refinancing with Quicken, has been a perpetual cycle of being passed around from one person/department to another with no one being on the same page or having a clue what the other is saying or doing. I understand this is large cooperation, but there sould be some continuity/oversight for each customer. I turned down an opportunity to refinancing with another company with a better rate due to your assurances thats have yet to be meet. I had an amazing experience with Quicken Loans. I had been shopping around, knowing that I qualified for the Harp 2.0 program to lower my interest rate, and had already spoken with three other mortgage companies. The other banks couldn't help me because of their guidelines, and one that I fit their guidelines blatantly never returned my calls...for THREE MONTHS! Working with Quicken Loans was the best experience I have ever had with a banking/mortgage company, and I've been a homeowner for over 10 years now and have purchased/refinanced 4 times. My banker, Keri Stichler, Sonia De Anda (client care specialist), and the rest of the team were amazing. They called me nearly every day throughout the process to make sure I knew the status, and I LOVED the online program that allows you to track the progress of your account and see all of the documents that have been received. I've already referred friends to Quicken to refinance their homes, and they've also had positive experiences and told me how Keri was up front and knowledgeable and gave them all their options in a thorough and easy to understand way. In the end, my refinance took about two to three weeks and I saved $450 a month on my mortgage. To say I am pleased is an understatement!

This company is a joke to do business with. Itâs been over 4 months since starting a simple refinance with them and still not done. Jake Archer is the first and foremost reason I would never do business with them or recommend them to anyone other than maybe my worst enemies. Time and time again they make no communication to let you know theyâre waiting on something from you for the loan. Time and time again they fail to answer questions or return phone calls or messages. I am absolutely disgusted with how the over all process has gone. If you are thinking of doing any kind of business I strongly recommend using anyone but quicken loans/rocket mortgage! We recently refinanced our home with a HARP through Quicken Loans. I would highly recommend Jeff Jones and Kyle Lis because they both provided us with excellent customer service. It took us a couple of months to get everything in order for the refinance, but they both were patient and helped us as much as they could. They were great at returning our calls and emails and also very helpful with any questions that we had. The website was also helpful and allowed us to view our loan documents as they became available. Plus, we e-signed a lot of the documents online as well. When it came time to close, the process was very fast and a notary came directly to our home to complete the process. Ive been customer here for 11 years , recently i tried to refinance my house with the balance of $200,000 and the house worth is $600,000, the credit is 760, along with excellent income. My application started September 1st,2020, they process my application and since that date I provided everything they needed and they keep delayin everything i provide along with the process. They say the paper is expired for bo reason just because i asked them to change the rate from 3.7 to their rate of 2.5, we agreed on everything from mirgage fees to application fees. Today January 11, they were supposed to do the closing but instead they lied about everything. I know im not the only victim, all my family and close relatives i know have the same issue with them. They lie and delay the situation and itâs very annoying how they lie about their service. Used quicken for our first mortgage in June 2019. Received a call to refinance in December of 2019. Went through the whole process only to receive a call in January stating they âcouldnât do anythingâ for us. Basically the mortgage banker opened up a new loan application to meet his quota in December, knowing all well it wouldnât go through. We got duped and as a result we will not be using quicken loans, nor can we recommend to anyone else. We will finance with another bank on our future home purchase.

If I could give a zero, I would. Awful support. Denied our house loan because the kitchen was in the walkout basement. The same house was approved on an FHA loan. They said they would refund my deposit and now they refuse. I'm taking legal action. I wish I had known this before, but they were sued 32.5 MILLION dollars 2 years ago for fraud. They had another lawsuit against them 2 years before that.

My experience with Quicken Loans was very unpleasant. Quicken Loans bought my mortgage from another company without my knowledge. They bought my loan because they saw that I was "never" late on my payments. They contacted me with a lower interest rate. As I found out during the process, that they never told me it was like applying all over again for a loan. Sam (I don't remember his last name) was very rude and ignorant towards me when things did not go smoothly. As time went on, he threaten to cancel the loan because the paperwork was wrong. As I did some checking, he put in the wrong social security number for my husband. When that was resolved, everything went okay. Kelly Sharpe was very helpful in trying to solve the problem because I refused to have to deal with Sam. When the paperwork was signed, they wanted you to fill out a survey, which in my opinion is very generic. With the closing representative, Joshua Pewles, I only talked to him for less than 10 minutes to set up an appointment to sign the paperwork. They had excellent as a rating and that really was not an excellent process. This experience was not pleasant as they "came to me" with this offer. They already had my loan and as I appreciate the lower rate, the experience was not always good. I would not recommend Quicken Loans because they do not tell you everything up front.
