George and OVM Financial made the stressful process of buying a home very simple. The constant communication and explanation of info was so helpful. They were patient with me to field all my questions. They even worked with me and gave me a lower interest than expected and the closing costs help was much appreciated! The OVM Oaks Brothers, Michael and James, made my loan process so seamless. I got an extremely low interest rate, quite a bit lower than the closest competitor. Michael and James always answered the phone or returned my call in no time when I had questions, even late at night when I would shoot a text. Always upfront and direct. I recommended OVM to my dad who was shopping around to refinance and they beat his closest rate by 1%. My dad and I both closed with OVM within a week of each other. James was really fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with steering us in the direction that worked best for us. We also had some things on our end that held up the process but James was very patient and encouraging all along the way. Pros: Loan was successful. Good interest rate. Good user interface for digital processing/e-signing. Cons: impersonal customer service. Care and concern for the customer’s needs was poorly addressed by George. I spoke to him on the phone maybe once or twice. Reaching out to him was difficult and I was often re-directed to someone with less experience. Made for a rough ride during the loan process. Over-all: glad OVM was willing to do business with me. Wish it was a more pleasant experience, but I understand the loan business is not a carnival cruise. V/r Tyler

My loan officer and his team was professional, and concerned. He was very approachable and I called him about every worry and idea that I had. His team was extremely flexible and agile; making quick adjustments. We closed in record- breaking time. I am very happy with the process, as I actually needed some financial preparation prior to engaging on a house. Scott helped me throughout the summer and, like a perfect movie, we closed and moved in to our new house right at the end of summer, on my youngest son's birthday. I promised him this house.

Nancy is such a wonderful person to work with. Not once did I feel overwhelmed with the paperwork needed to refinance on our home. I was on a tight deadline to close and move my family in a home after months of looking for a home and dealing with previous mortgage lenders. I learned A LOT during my process and am hoping that I can shed some light for others. Often times when applying for a mortgage, we only focus on the rate (which no mortgage company really controls BTW). BUT every mortgage lender can also offer INCENTIVES. Everything with OVM started great. Then after some growing frustrations with the team I was working with, I decided to shop around. And GLAD I did!! It was then that I discovered that mortgage lenders have the power to offer things like lender credit, free appraisals, etc. which really helps save you some out-of-pocket costs at closing. So long story short, I decided to switch mortgage lenders. At that point, OVM was throwing everything at me that they could to entice me to stay. The whole time while they were “charming” me, I kept thinking “why are you offering me this now?!? Where were these incentives from the beginning?!?” Didn’t seem very ethical to me and it really irritated me that they went out of their way to charm me while holding back the entire time. I felt “dooped”. Bottom Line: Shop around! Realtors often refer you to lenders they like working with, but again these lenders do not control the rates so don’t get too focused on that. But just remember that there is A LOT that these lenders CAN do for you. And often times, places like OVM reserve those incentives for that hail mail pass to get you to stay when they should have been giving you those options from the start! Happy shopping!

Patty was one of the best loan officers I have worked with in my career. There are three things where she really stands above others: 1) Her customer focus and listening skills are superior. 2) Her action orientation to plow through all the requirements to get it done is refreshing. I would say she is tenacious and objective. She has a real can do attitude missing from many of her peers today. 3) Her communication skills were excellent given the stressful volume of loans on her plate. And she always had an entertaining sense of humor amidst turmoil at times.

Michael Oaks helped me with the whole mortgage process and was excellent. I am a first time home buyer so I had no experience with the process, and asked Michael questions all day everyday throughout the process.
