OneMain Financial W Chrysler Dr, Belvidere

Joe is very disrespectful towards people if their a couple days be-hidden paying their loan. He’s very unprofessional, and seems to not take his job seriously. We will not be going back here. I’m rating this place one star if I could do none I would. He’s disrespectful over the phone and wants you to pay there and now, even if you don’t have but 34 dollars to your name in your bank account, they don’t care about customers they want their money. I would not recommend this place to anyone, please research loan places before getting a loan. They have poor customer service. And they DO NOT CARE IF YOUR BARELY SURVIVING as is , specially the way the economy is today. DO NOT GO HERE, this place is a joke. Would recommend other one main places or other loan places but not this one. Just please do your research.

I went to One Main as I needed a loan for Vet bills. My 9 month old Mastiff puppy is growing faster than his bones can keep up. This caused a problem in that he broke both of his front leg elbows while playing. The wonderful people at the Belvidere One Main office where more than helpful. Because of their fine customer service Zedekiah is scheduled for surgery to have his legs fixed. Our whole household thanks you.

Customer service here is sub-par. I have had a loan with them for over a year and they demand you set up payment arrangements once you fall behind which is understandable. However, I called in to change an arrangement before it was due, and even left a message. The payment still went through, i received no call back, and was told there is no way to reverse it. Credit card companies and most banks will do this for you, not One Main. Now I have $2 for the week. Take your business to a real financial establishment if you can... *Update: today my bank account was overdrawn and I was hit with a $34 fee. Thanks again One Main!

The ladies working at the Belvidere branch are very courteous and helpful. If there is a way to make things work they accomplish it. I found them a joy to work with. Thank you ladies.

I have always had excellent service from this finance company. They have always been very accommodating in servicing my needs. I would particularly like praise JOEL for outstanding phone service during the pandemic. Keep up the good work.

I do not normally review things, but I felt I should discuss my experience with the Belvidere One Main Financial branch. I was very skeptical from the beginning when it came to applying for a loan from a company like this. While the interest rate is hefty, I do like their payback options and the fact that they report to all 3 credit bureaus monthly. If you are trying to improve your credit, this will help. Just use common sense and get a loan responsibly. I initially applied online one night by answering some questions and Gabby called me back the next day. I made an appointment with her for the following day and walked out with an unsecured loan that same day for more than what I had wanted. It was a super quick and easy process. I had also applied for a motorcycle loan the same time and as "fate" had it, One Main Financial was the company that was sent for financing. The VERY NEXT day... I walked out with yet another unsecured loan and am now the proud owner of a Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail. Everyone that I met there were very friendly and helpful. Gabby was who helped me through the process for both loans. She was AMAZING! She answered all my questions fully and made me feel more at ease. She has a fantastic personality and I highly recommend her. There was someone else who helped Gabby finish my first loan, but I can't remember her name. I am so sorry! She was also fantastic!! She was very nice and informative. If you are looking for a personable “feel”, I would recommend you stopping by and seeing how they can help you.

Just please don't waste your time here you must have an 799 credit score basically to get a loan here and your credit utilization probley has to be at 2% dont say I didnt warn you and get a hard inquirie on ur record for 2+ years dont risk it go to Mariner Finance instead they understand that you don't have perfect credit and maybe need a loan to do something un like One Main FAIL ncial

These people at the Belvidere branch are great. Easy to talk to and will work with any situation to get you back on track if you are falling behind.
