I have had the pleasure of using Old Tampa Bay Title for both my personal business (a refinance) and my professional needs (I suggest all my refinance clients contact them as a Loan Officer). The team is reliable, courteous, friendly, professional, and responsive. The Title business is a tough one, and finding a high-quality company with a repeatable experience is a unicorn....look no further.

Poor process and customer service lacking polish. I was trying to get my escrow money back, there was no verification of my identity when picking up my check. It was dropped off at the building front desk for pickup (not associated with the title company, I'm assuming). That is not a good process and the title company should always be in positive possession of funds. Moreover, this check was dated far out in the future and was essentially unable to process the check to get my money back. The check was wet signed so it came across staff in charge who verified the check, but missed this detail. I was not able to get my money until this was corrected. Customer service practically wanted me to take the hours drive back to pick up a corrected check, until they reluctantly decided to wire my money back. It's assumed a company that deals in this industry has solid processes. Beware when picking your title company, it's the attention to detail that counts.
