The whole entire team at Mortgage Center was simply awesome. Mason who started our journey was quick and professional setting in place Grant who serviced us throughout the process. Grant Wilson ( Executive Mortgage Loan Originator) was upfront and honest and very patient with all of our questions and concerns and always answered or returned our calls in a timely manner. Always. It was a pleasure working with him. Melissa O'Neill (Senior Mortgage Processor), Also was superior in communicating and working with us especially when unforeseen circumstances forced us to delay our closing. She was patient and resolved quickly everything that was needed on her part to make it possible for us to close on our home at a later date. The whole experience was very positive especially when we had to delay on our part the initial closing. The whole team at Mortgage Center is top notch. Very quick on their part to process us through all the steps. All at the convenience of not needing to drive and meet in person. Everything was done electronically except for the closing. In 2019 my husband and I decided to refinance our home through Mortgage Center. The process was explained on day 1 and throughout the financing, with any questions I had answered in a way I could easily understand. The first refinance was a pleasant experience and unfortunately we came onto hard times and decided we needed to go through the process again. The worst experience I have ever had. I waisted 4 months of my life just to be denied a loan. For 4 months i was ignored and lied to. Then i got a loan through another company in 2 weeks.

Refinancing my mortgage was never so easy as it took just one call to Mortgage Center to start the process. Most of the transactions were online or by phone and all employees I had contact with, beginning with Mike Young, were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable of the process and were able to guide me the few times when I needed assistance. Dealing with Mortgage Center definitely exceeded my expectations as far as customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking about securing a mortgage or refinancing one.

Im not impressed at all with this company. The loan officer was nice and quick to contact me but as a whole they seem very off. My Credit Union works through this company so after having some issues with Quicken Loans, they seemed like they would take care of me. They wanted a $570 down payment which I messaged the loan officer Robbie that I didn’t want to pay it unless there were no issues with my loan. He assured me that he has full approval through the underwriting system and the loan will get done for me. So even though for a refinance I thought it strange to have to pay that (no other mortgage company when I contacted them asked me to do that) I paid it. Less than 1 week after I paid he called me and said they couldn’t refinance my loan because the payments to the mortgage wasn’t in my name and I had to prove I was the one who made the payments. I just got a divorce (which they knew, whole reason I had to refinance) and even though I’m on the title I’m not on the mortgage so there was no way to show that. Even the payments I made by myself didn’t show that I made them so I wasn’t able to get the mortgage. It has been over 3 weeks and I still haven’t received a refund for the down payment I made even though I was assured that I would get it back it would just take up to three weeks. I have talked to other mortgage companies after this situation and they have never heard of that I had to show that I was the one making payments especially because it was a divorce. Please don’t go with this company. I work over 40 hours a week, and have excellent credit and this had been a giant headache. I’m now working with A new company and they have been great and I’m getting a better loan with a better rate.

I am editing my recent review of the Mortgage Center. We got off to a slow start. I believe everyone was well intentioned and all very nice people. I will admit it was frustrating to get this completed. However, in the end, all of the people that we worked with at Mortgage Center were committed to making sure we were satisfied with the end result. I think part of the difficulty is all of us adapting to a new way of doing business. I would use them again.

I had called all of the well known televised Big Mortgage companies that promised lower rates and lower interest but they only RAISED both. Mortgage Center called and restored my faith. I was able to refinance with A CONVENTIONAL loan with lower interest and lower payment. I have already referred several people to them and know that at least 4 have used them. I will continue to stay with Mortgage Center and continue to refer.

i have had a great experience with Mortgage Center! They were able to work with my situation and rare property type when not many other mortgage companies could. Shemyra Fox has been especially helpful through this whole process. If you get to work with her you are truly lucky!

My loan officer was very nice and well-versed. He offered options for our particular situation. The closing person did nothing to conceal our closing paperwork. She walked in with a pile of binder clipped papers not in a folder or bag. That is a lot of personal information that wasn’t properly secured.

Recently applied for a second home loan. My current mortgage rate is so low that taking cash out and refinancing didn't make sense. Mortgage Center was the only company, out of 100's of calls, that offered the perfect product for me. I was not interested in a line of credit and that seemed to be all other lenders offered aside from refinancing. I received a clear to close in less than two weeks including the Memorial Day holiday. Great work Mortgage Center, I will be recommending this product to friends and family!

My closing was very quick and harmonious. Everything flowed well and the professional team was helpful and diligent. This process was executed perfectly. I would highly recommend Mortgage Center.

Where do I even begin, Their sales front (or whatever they call them internally) is all sharp, kind, and prompt with active communication until you commit with them. Once you let them know you want to do business with them. They become a ghost. No replies to emails, not answering phones, no updates, nor help or guidance throughout next stages of the process. The person I worked with was Grant Wilson. Once you are a caught fish you are practically non-living human to them. Now when you get pre-approved for a loan and reach an agreement with a property seller, you get tossed to mortgage processing team who communicates with you on behalf of their underwriting team. I worked with Goldie Scott throughouut this stage. Subpar communication and lack of updates is prevalent at this stage as well.Your mortgage processing officer does not even have a phone number where you can reach her. So you just send her an email and plead to God that she replies in timely manner so that you know what is going on. I do not know who is processing my application in the underwriting department, but this is where it becomes a complete joke. They do not have a clear idea of sets of document to request to you so whatever they request to you is not the last document you will need to produce for them. There has been about 11 different rounds where I have been sending them on average 2~5 different documents. I was very on top of it and diligent which my mortgage processing officer will agree to. I have sent everything they request within the 24 hours of their request except for cases where the document producing institution was not open due to being a weekend and closed. I have been wasting my time for month now and had to plea to my seller to extend agreed close date three times and about to lose my chance of purchasing my first home. Seller needs answers right now which I am trying to get out of my counter part at mortgage center. So far I sent two emails and tried to reach out to general help desk in their department to use the company IM to let her know I am in desperate need of her call for updates. No communication I heard great things about Lake Trust Fund from my coworker and that's why I chose them but their decision to outsource to Mortgage Center is very disappointing. I am not looking for an entitled treatment because I know I am nobody but them failing to even communicate basic information in timely manner has put my family under huge stress. Now almost certain that I will lose my agreement. I am now left with 14 days to find a place to rent before my current lease ends. I wish I could turn back time and worked with a more professional institution but life lesson learned the hard way. Please stay away from Mortgage Center from your sanity. They will be going on to a blacklist of lenders for home sellers for the area I was looking to purchase of home in. Hope nobody suffers the frustration and talking to a wall sensation that tormented me for a long time. To Mortgage Center Management If you are not comfortable enough to provide me a loan. Just deny me and be done with it. Don't sugar coat the situation with promising words with endless rounds of documents without clear communication of what your underwriting department is thinking. It is very demoralizing

Very frustrated with this company and their follow through on the sale of our house and so many issues were brought to light! We had 2 mortgages through them and overall was ok (nothing really bad or really positive). That was until we placed our house on the market & sold it. It started with them failing to send the buyers title company the pay off paperwork. It got to the point that 2 days before the closing I ended up having to call and request the paperwork and send it over to the buyers title company so that they could cut the checks. While we all kept waiting for that we found out from the buyers title company that there were issues with the title from the previous owners to us (who are family). It was so messed up that we found out that they should have NOT allowed us the mortgage without fixing the title!!!! We ended up having to do 3 titles (more money we lost from the closing) to fix the system so that we were able to sell the house. Once we signed all the paperwork and received payment we thought we were done and that the mortgages would be paid off....NOPE on the 10th of the month (15 days after the sale of our house) they took out my mortgage payment! I called the office and was told by staff that they hadn't received the check?!? But they did received the check for the 1st mortgage...So our realtor (WHO IS AMAZING) called and helped us and found out they "lost the check". So the buyers title company had the check stopped & overnighted a 2nd check. Also telling them that they would 'honor the pay off date of May 31st". Well as you can guess that didn't happen. Then I called once I received the payoff note it says June 14th with no information on when I would be receiving the 'extra payment'. I called the office and was told that it would be cut the last week of June. I am so over this company and saddened that we received better care from the buyer of our houses companies than ours. I thought working with Credit Unions and the companies they support would mean quality care and unfortunately that didn't happen.

I wholeheartedly give Mike Jaghnoun, the Loan Originator for my refi, five stars. Mike was unfailingly patient, courteous, thorough and prompt in his responses to my many questions irrespective of my (sometimes) testy attitude. Due to some unanticipated issues that arose with the appraisal and discovery of a 2011 change in the Flood Plain Map, there was a possibility the loan wouldn't be approved within the required timeframe and I'd need to start over; but Mike worked with me and the Mortgage Center to close on the original loan application. My 5-star rating is based solely on my experience with Mike and his team. I'd give the Mortgage Center as an entity perhaps only three or four stars, primarily because of its stance regarding the need for flood insurance based on FEMA's 2011 revised Flood Plain Map that affected my property. Although my now former, then current, mortgage lender did not require flood insurance, the Mortgage Center insisted on flood insurance as a condition of loan approval because the 2011 Flood Plain Map showed part of my property in Zone AE. It cost me $650.00 for a survey, Elevation Certificate and an approved LOMA (Letter of Map Adjustment) from FEMA. With documentation that the lowest elevation of the house was not in the flood zone, the Mortgage Center dropped the requirement for flood insurance. Had I not been willing and able to thoroughly research the issues of flood plain maps, flood insurance and options to reduce or mitigate the need for flood insurance, my only options would have been to pay hundreds of dollars a month for flood insurance for the duration of the loan, stop proceedings with my refi, or seek another lender. I understand the need for a mortgage lender to protect their financial interest; however I don't understand why some sort of reciprocity doesn't apply. Fifth Third (my former mortgage lender and certainly not a fly-by-night financial institution) did not require flood insurance after being informed of FEMA's 2011 revision of the Flood Plain Map; so why wasn't that sufficient for the Mortgage Center? I can unreservedly recommend the Mortgage Center, especially Mike Jaghnoun and his team, to anyone considering a refi or initial mortgage. However if you live near a lake, river or other body of water that overflows its banks periodically, I suggest you first check the latest FEMA Flood Plain Map for your address and go into this with your eyes wide open.
