Hours are not very convenient for working people. I work 8-5 M - F and need to do inside banking, ie cashiers checks etc and they don't do that through the drive through. Nor are they open on Saturday.

UPDATE I am appreciative that I was able to secure a loan for my mortgage through missouri credit union. However... during the loan structure for my mortgage and my now auto loan application it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach a loan officer. Leaving messages in voicemails and never getting a response. They have dinged my credit for an inquiry and has been well over 24 hours (total of 14 hours of office being open with the loan officer in) and they will not return my call to even tell me if I was approved or denied. This is a theme I'm starting to notice and I'm about to take my business elsewhere and get an auto loan somewhere else. This is ridiculous. A year later update, it seems they have gotten better about the response times ect. Been happy with them as my mortgage holder.

    Response from the owner

Hi Austin, thank you for taking the time to update your review and for the 5-star rating. We are sorry you had a frustrating experience, but we're glad to have improved. Thank you for your membership - we look forward to working with you again in the future.

Not a good bank to work with. First, their email address listed on the contact us page doesn't work. They freeze your account when you're going international, even if you warn them in advance, causing no end to frustrations if you're traveling. If you're international, you have a transaction limit of $1000, even if you call to verify you're making the purchase. Their online banking system is outdated and not particularly friendly. Card replacement for expired cards is ridiculously slow. They have a large network of shared branches, which is nice, but it's completely random which branches within a credit union network are included, so you're forced to use the map to look, which doesn't work particularly well. Mobile is essentially nonexistent.

They claim to be about customers, but ask them for help beyond very basic transactions and they will tell you "That's against our policy." It seems it doesn't matter what you need, that is their stock answer. I had a manager tell me that Bank of America does things the same way. I don't HAVE an account with Bank of America, now do I? Tellers are friendly most of the time, but everything else is just cold.

I felt it to be very odd that I received a reply to a loan inquiry via an email. It was nice to know that I would benefit from improving my credit. An email message was sent to the branch manager, Ashley, for help to assist me with improving my credit. I have not received a response. I just expected more from a branch manager. A good thing happened due to no response from Ashley, I am joining another credit union on Monday. A financial representative has already ensured me that she can assist me in person or over the phone.

    Response from the owner

Hi Sha-Shona, we are sorry you had a frustrating experience. We are more than happy to communicate with our members using their preferred method of contact - just let us know which method you prefer. We're sorry it didn't work out, but we're happy you found a credit union that works for you.

So sick of the 0 accountability customer service from this bank. The loan officers and rates are great however I'm not sure that it's worth constantly fighting over access to my own money. The phone reps are rude. There is no 24hr phone system, they claim 24hr banking witch is only true if you want to use the atm for small amounts of money or check your balance on-line. Dealing with this bank remotely is a nightmare. I would avoid it.

My experience with this bank has been less than ideal on several occasions. After banking with them for multiple years, this bank has decided to start charging for checking accounts. That is unless you have an average daily balance of 100 dollars. This is basically a fee for individuals who bring in less than at minimum, 2800/month, but in actuality it 3100/month because February is the only month with 28 days. This credit union is supposed to supportive of its community, and yet they have chosen to operate in a fashion that harms the most vulnerable individuals and families in our community. I really wish that in structuring their checking account they would have understood that the majority of folks live paycheck to paycheck. This bank is definitely not operating in a way that is customer centered. Overall, this is very disappointing.

    Response from the owner

Hi Kinetta, we're sorry you are frustrated with the new accounts. The goal was to provide extra value to our members through the added perks that come with the Your Money with Perks and Your Money with Interest accounts. Our Your Money Your Way account does require an average daily balance of $100 in order to waive the fee. That means you could have a balance of $150 for 15 days and $50 for 15 days and it would average out to $100 per day. We are happy to discuss the account options with you and ensure you are in the account that best meets your needs.

I have been with MCU all my life, they have great service, have been helpful during crisis, and taken great care with my money. I only wish they had a branch in Fulton!

I am very displeased with the type of customer service representation by many of the employees at this Missouri Credit location. My loan agent is very unprofessional towards me and I never feel welcome at the location. I have gone in on separate occasions for minor questions regarding my account and every time I felt rushed and unappreciated. I am upset with my choice of using them for my auto loan and will be sure not to make the same mistake again. For my next vehicle, I will be going else where.
