Unless your account goes negative or has a zero balance, customers need only to make at least one deposit or withdrawal activity during a 12 month period for a checking account, or within 24 months for a savings account to remain active. If however an account goes negative or has a zero balance, and there are no transactions on the account for more than 30 days, the account may be subject to closure and applicable closing fees. These terms are disclosed and can be found in the Truth In Saving disclosure that customers receive at account opening. If an account with a negative balance is not made positive within 60 days it will also be subject to closure.
