    I purchased my vehicle from Mercedes of Caldwell. We had a smooth transaction. My sales girl Camilla is a sweetheart. The finance manager Eric is a class act. George the sales manager is a great guy. I had a small issue at first and George handled me and the issue like a true professional. We were all happy in the end. I also would like to point out from the minute I got there all the salesmen, Gene and a few others I encountered were more than helpful. They answered all questions and are very knowledgeable. A great group of people at Mercedes of Caldwell.

    Terrible experience with selling a used vehicle through KBB. After KBB made an offer on my car for $18,400 They had me bring it to this dealer. With a 100% clean car fax, zero issues with the car, they claimed a “paint Pen” showed that the car had been completely re-painted which was totally false. They also lied about needing tires and number of keys I had. They re-submitted the bogus information to KBB and then offered $12,000. CarMax just paid me $19,600. This type of practice is what gives car salesman a bad name- even the ones that hide behind the luxury brand. BEWARE. PS- get a new “paint pen”

Drivers fender and door bolts were turned which indicates body work. We did not lie about your tires. These were objective measurements.     Always a great experience. They got my car serviced quickly and set me up with a private desk to use so I could get some work done while I waited. They also make sure not to do any work that isn’t necessary, and are never pushy which I appreciate. Will never go to another MB dealership

    -I brought my car in for service, the tire was leaking air. Horrible service department - no one answered my calls, no one got back to me after i left several voicemails. I had to go in person twice just to get my tire fix. It took an excessive amount of time to get my tire repaired. Horrible service department and horrible employees. - Not only did we try working with the service department, we tried multiple times trying to contact the general manager and we were unsuccessful. I've been driving Mercedes for many years now, i have never had a experience with any dealership's service department like I did with your company. I am also going to reach out to corporate Mercedes to describe the dissatisfaction and customer experience I had.

    I had a Pulsation issue with my vehicle and have reached out to my dealer Mercedes Benz Rockville center and other dealers nearby Jersey City to get issue fixed. None were ready to fix the issue under warranty as its a new vehicle and stated that Rotors doesn't come under warranty they considered as wear and tear. Erica was helpful in getting the issue fixed in no time and was very patient to answer all my queries.

    I had been trying to get my car serviced at the Caldwell service station for the past 3 weeks, with no luck. I did request for a valet service. Each time I call, the personnel at the other end tells me that they will call me right back to confirm, but they never called. I have called 4 different days, talked to 4 different people, but nothing happened. Finally, last week, I did request to talk to the manager. I got a call from someone, who claimed to be the manager; gave me a confirmation by text message; for my GLB 2020, to be picked up on Thursday’ last week between 1000-1100. I waited and waited, finally around 1200, I called them and told them that my vehicle was not picked up. The lady who picked up the phone told me, the manager will call me right back. It’s been 10 days, but I haven’t heard back from them!!!! I’m a senior citizen, had been driving for the past so many years, but never ever had such bad experience !! I can’t believe, not one single person in that service station; whom I spoke to, was responsible for their action! I’m not asking for a free service or favor, I’m only asking for service; which was paid for!!!

    Sale side is horrible! they were trying to steel a trade i already had priced out at another dealership. they gave me black book price and when i mentioned this to the salesman he looked like a deer in headlights. he then brought in a manager and the manager offered 1k more bringing it to 26k when the black book price was 31k. customer please do your research before you trade in the car. Reading the previous comments from the owner to hector g about his rating and "expecting" the 5 star review based on how they tried to help the customer, shows the kind of professionalism this dealership has and how it's runned from ownership down. The reason they decided to help was because they were afraid of getting sued. Stay far away from this dealership.

    UPDATE 6/24: Seems like you either don't know the facts or you are lying to look good with the readers. First and foremost, the vehicle was purchased on Tuesday 5/31 and was back at the dealer in the morning of Friday 6/3. So what weekend are you referring to? The car only had 258 when it was dropped off, is that your definition of “SEVERAL HUNDRED MILES”? There was only one 1-star review posted (on google) which was later removed after meeting with you in the morning of 6/4. That makes me wonder how many other bad reviews you’ve had customers remove in the past. Scary. Everyone reading this will decide wether your dealer will provide the expected experience or not, but I know what dealer NOT to visit when Im in the market for my next Mercedes. You can expect a 10-star review if you want, if you don’t deserve it you will not get, and you DO NOT deserve it. I would give you 0 stars if I could. YOU SOLD AN UNSAFE VEHICLE THAT PUT ME AND MY FAMILY IN HARMS WAY. This guys are a joke!!!! On 5/31 I bought a car that was defective from the factory and needed major work done with only 200 miles. This means their service department didn't do their job during the pre-delivery inspection and the sales manager George Ikonomakos tried to jam me with it. After a meeting with the Kostas Pappas the general manager, they agreed to unwind the deal and issue a full refund for the amount they had received from me and I agreed to delete my previous bad review as an act of good faith. This was on Saturday 6/4, by Tuesday 6/7 the car was already showing back up in their inventory. It is now 6/21, 17 days after they agreed to issue a refund and they still haven't done so. I texted the salesperson Shane Quinn who has provided the worst customer service experience ever and he doesn't even care to respond. I called George the manager numerous amounts of time as well as Shane, and they always send me to voicemail. It is a shame the way Mercedes Benz, MB of Caldwell and its staff have handled this situation. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

After driving the car for a weekend and putting several hundred miles on it, you demanded we take back the car and unwind the deal. While we were under no obligation to do so, we agreed, even after you left numerous 1-star reviews in an attempt to tarnish our store’s and team members’ reputations. You then disputed the charge with your credit card company before the time frame we provided for the refund. We approved the chargeback ending the matter. We would expect a 5-star review based on these events and believe that most people reading will agree.

    I highly recommend Mercedes Benz of Caldwell. Both my service and sales experiences have been exceptional. I previously visited 2 other dealerships in the North Jersey area and had less than satisfactory experiences. Even though the Caldwell location is the furthest from me, it is always worth the trip! This past month I made my second new car purchase from the Caldwell location. I worked with Ben Zimmer and Oscar. Ben was very up front with all the car details and patient as I asked many questions. He followed through to make sure all my questions were answered and there were no surprises as we closed the deal. I was also impressed with the seamless execution of paperwork, all info was pulled ahead of time and docs ready to be signed. Overall the communication, professionalism, and knowledge at this dealership continues to surpass my expectations. I rarely write reviews but I couldn't pass up this opportunity to give them credit and hopefully save someone else a headache of a bad experience at another dealership. I will continue recommending them to my family/friends!

    Read the bad reviews before coming to this place. Beyond unprofessional. I would 100% NOT recommend this place. They will book you an appointment and once you arrive - look you dead in the eye and say sorry we only do that service on a specific day after they told you the day before you were all set to come in. Huh?!?! My experience: I drove 45 mins out of my way for an oil change since the local Mercedes Benz dealership was booked for the next 2 weeks. I booked the appointment the day before, over the phone, and told the receptionist my year, make, and model. I get there and a guy (Bill) comes to my window to tell me that they don’t do services on sprinter vans on the weekend. So I proceed to question him - why they would book me an appointment if that was the case while expressing I drove 45 mins out of my way. He responds “I don’t know, sorry.” And that was that. No I’ll be talking to staff to make sure that this doesn’t happen again or any reassurance that it was indeed wrong on their part. None of that. Which probably would of made me feel better than his remorseless “sorry.” Unfortunately I don’t get my 90 mins back (the drive there and back), or gas back, or toll payments. So here I am taking my frustration out in a review. To the person that responds to these reviews: I could of slept in on my only day off if it wasn’t for the lack of professionalism that you guys exude. Thanks so much for wasting my time.

    Very friendly staff and reasonable wait times. If repairs take the day or longer, they usually provide me with a loaner. I’ve made mistakes going to local German repair shops and I’ve literally paid the price for sub par work. Many times they weren’t even cheaper. Now I only service my Benz at Caldwell Mercedes Benz.

    Worst mercedes benz dealer in N.J.. The sales people are practically forcing you to almost buy there cars. They have a bunch of haggling going on. There is no negotiating, what you see is what you get. Definitely not a mercedes benz experience. Very unprofessional. Your aren't going to get the white glove, red carpet experience.     Worst service ,scammers. I called to setup an appointment for my car.I had an error code for Cyl 1 misfire.Nobody mentioned about $300 diag fee when the appointment was scheduled.I found out from the service advisor.i told the advisor about the 2 error codes asking to identify for the $300 I'was paying which part is defective and has to be replaced..After 48 hours and several calls , nothing was done, no part was identified. Even more, the service manager ,called me and stated they do not identify parts ,it's not the way they do business because if they install a part to diagnose, they cannot return it . Why I'm paying the diag for? The manager answer: for the time the technicien spent to connect the computer??!! If possible I'll give them -- 5 stars!

    My Experience is Smooth and Excellent. Camilla Csuka was helping a lot in explaining the vehicle details, buying process, documentations, etc with care and answered all the questions with really good patience. This is my first time walking into a Mercedes Show room and I was not quite comfortable with it. But Camilla made the visit really comfortable.     Not as expected. I spent over $1,200 on a routine service (20,000 mile service) and picked up the vehicle today. It was filthy inside and out. I would think for a $1,200 service visit (Including windshield wipers for $90) it would include simply washing the vehicle. I would take your business elsewhere.

    The sales service was exceptional and extremely professional. I love that they care about our experience as a customer especially during this health crisis. They have made me a Mercedes-Benz fan and owner for life. These cars are amazing. The sales team is great especially Stephen and Warren. Go here. Service department is hit or miss and I just had a huge miss. It took them 4 hrs to change one tire for which I have a plan. Actually took them 10 days from the time I called about the tire. 4 hours to change a tire is ridiculous.

    From the moment we walked into MB in March, to the day we picked up our car in May, Brian Teixeira who helped us through the process was absolutely remarkable. We never felt rushed or pressured and he took the time to make sure we understood all nuances of the transaction, from deciding the model, to selecting the finishes and then giving us the demo in the car the day we picked it up. Brian was extremely responsive and helpful throughout and even the days after the transaction - truly magnificent customer service and Brian will be our guy moving forward. Also, although Brian was our salesperson, it must be said that all of the staff we dealt with at the dealership were terrific - from the front desk to Eric Thomas who helped close our financing on the day, Eric was also brilliant in walking us through that process.     My introduction to the Mercedes Family was at the Paramus location. I brought my 2019 C300 to the Caldwell location as it was in close proximity to my home. From the very first call with the woman who answered the phone to the attentiveness and friendliness of the Service Department I knew that this Caldwell Mercedes dealership was my new home. I felt welcomed and at home with every employee I encountered. On Nov. 22 I decided to stop by and check out the new cars as my lease was coming to an end. I was welcomed at the door by Sales Mgr. George Ikonomakos who had me meet with Sales Consultant Elvis Allkja. Elvis is terrific. He explained my options as to if I should purchase my C300 or lease another C300…… until I saw the Blue Lunar GLC300!!!! It was love at first site. Elvis was very patient with my ambivalence and I never once felt like I was being corned to make a decision. Both Elvis and George clearly explained all of my options available to me and was glad to work with me . I met with Kris Los who expedited the paperwork who explained the contract clearly and who was very friendly. There are not enough superlatives to describe my phenomenal experience at Mercedes at Caldwell. Elvis is a gem and I already recommended a friend of mine to call him after I posted my positive experience on Facebook. My boss is also interested in purchasing a new Sprinter. Once a Mercedes owner always a Mercedes owner. None can compare with the drive, the service, the positive communication, the relaxed atmosphere at the dealership and the high value placed on the relationship with your Sales Consultant, in my case Elvis Allkja. I highly recommend stopping by the Caldwell Mercedes dealership for your next car purchase and ask for Elvis.

    I have been with Mercedes’ for about 2 years. I have waited to write this because i see all the wonderful reviews left on the company. I wish i have received that type of service in this business. I have had nothing but terrible customer service from the service department. I have had to call for multiple days with no call back. I had two bubbles on my tires for approximately 5 weeks before they could accommodate me for a tire service with a rental . ( i am a nurse unfortunately i need transportation at all times ) i felt like the company did not care for my safety and did not try to merely accommodate my needs. I am really leaning towards returning the vehicle due to the customer service because i can not afford to continue to deal with this. I am highly upset and disappointed with Mercedes’.

    My experience with Mercedes of Caldwell didn't go so well. I should have gone to Ray Catena in Edison where they treat their customers with respect. I brought my 2007 SL 550 in to change the batteries and a switch for the convertible to work properly. When I got my car back. The hoods sensor had a warning that it wasn't closed. I never had that problem. Also my maps and navigator stop working. When I addressed the issue they said it had nothing to do with the battery being installed and maybe there's something wrong with another part of the navigation system. They just was trying to tell me that I have to spend more money to get it programmed. This is BS and they should give you back your car without other things going wrong. The service manager kept saying that it's an old car and things are going to keep breaking down. If you see my car I keep it in beautiful shape. I wouldn't recommend coming here at all. And to think that I was going to purchase another car here. They are definitely not getting my money again.

    I have a very simple question to check if my seat tear is covered in the bundle I bought while buying the car. I have been calling Caldwell and I get to hear they will call me back but they never do. When I told the operator she mentioned our advisors are always busy to attend the phone. She suggested me to come in show room to check if I am covered or not. I live 1 hr away from the location and I get these kind of answers. This is not the first time I had this issue but they never call back for anything. Is this service Mercedes as a brand provides to customers?? If the dealer location is short staffed they need to hire more people because they need to give answers to customers and make time to call back. I am very disappointed with Mercedes neglecting behavior of dealers. I had complaint previously as well but I do not see any change in Caldwell service.

    My family has been loyal MB owner for decades. Buy no more due Very disappointing customer service and shady warranty. The dealership would not replace free of charge a defective tire with under 2000 miles (sidewall bubble), wanted to charge $388, made us drop off the car, was going to make us pick up the car, and the loaner felt like a risky venture for a few reason.

    i took my car here in january for a service a on my leased car. i was told it would take an hour at most. i received a call the day before asking if i needed a loaner car. i asked again if the service would take long to which i was told no about an hour long just to top coolant. i arrived about 15 mins early and checked in. i was questioned by the service rep about why i was getting the service to which i stated the notification on the car actually lit up whenever i turned it on. i was given a rather unhappy look. i was told to wait in the seating area. after an hour and a half i asked if my car would be ready soon to which the service rep gave me another unhappy look and said “i’ll call you when it’s ready”. I continued to wait and asked if I could leave and come back as it was taking longer than I was originally told. i left my name and phone number. i was unable to leave as there were no ubers available and then told the receptionist i would actually be waiting there and she told the service rep. Another 45 minutes went by and my car was nowhere to be seen. so after about 2.5 hours of waiting I start looking and I see my car has been brought up. No one had told me my car was ready. I waited another 10 minutes to see if maybe there was another check that had to be done. No one was in or around the vehicle. I then went up to the sales rep again and asked if my car was ready she replied she would let me know in a rather demeaning tone. i pointed out my car had been parked in the pick up area for 15 minutes at that point and she simply replied “oh” and then I proceeded to retrieve my car and leave. The service reps in the area were not proactive, attentive, or seemed to care that I had been waiting for such a long period of time for a simple service. I will not be bringing my car back here

    Arrogant, Rude and Unbelievable experience. I initially came to this dealer for a battery issue. I thought Mercedes had the expertise to diagnose their own product but I was shocked to find out this wanted me to shell out 5 hours of labor (206 per hour ) to just diagnose the issue with the car. That's over a 1K with even tell me what was wrong with the car plus the cost of fixing it and labor involved. I refused. I bought and extended warranty. I told them bill them. The bottom line I had to tow my car out of there without any type of resolution. When I ask the diagnoses codes no one could tell me any specfics. They inially told me loaner cars were available but after they received the car no cars were available at all. I have a rare hybrid and I don't think the dealers have a clue how to fixed it so they have to go through this unnecessary process to find the problem. It sounds like they want me to finance their training at my expense.

    Reviewing the service department Ended up getting charged more than quoted (which was already a sky high price) and in general the level of service is below the level you would expect from Mercedes. Definitely avoid coming here for service if you can (especially out of warranty).

    I highly recommend MB of Caldwell. My husband and I visited last weekend and we were pleasantly greeted by CAMILLA. We experienced exceptional customer service!     In no way does this place live up to the MB name. My moms car broke down, they told me they’d have a loaner for her, when she gets there there’s magically nothing they can do for her. After spending $50 on Ubers and making her wait 45 minutes at the dealership without speaking to her the rude loaner manager, with no good reason ,said there was nothing they could do. Don’t buy here , don’t service here . Save yourself the lies and aggravation

    We had our car repaired here and Franca was wonderful to work with. She was so quick to respond to all my emails and questions. I figure I’d receive a response within 24 hours but she would respond to me in 30 min or less. We had to have an insurance adjuster come see our car before we could move forward with the repairs and the shop was very patient and great about that. They even got us a courtesy car even though we didn’t have one scheduled for our repair. The only minor thing was that when we picked up the car, it hadn’t been cleaned but overall we will be returning when we need any services or repairs. Thanks again for all your help Franca!

    I was due for a 20,000 maintenance, and it's never a problem. This dealership continues to excel in excellence! My service advisor Jake, is top notch. He sees me pull up and meets me at my truck, before I even step foot inside the dealership service area. The loaner car was ready to go and there was no hang ups.     They tried to charge me 4809 for a 2019 c43 am with 11k miles for a bearing . Then two new rims brake fluid and air filters the parts were all under warranty approved by ray catena the only reason I went to Caldwell is because ray was out of loaners . I referred this to my attorney. Be careful. I’m a master plumber I work for a very large company and deal with warranty work daily . I will never go there again

    I had a wonderful experience buying a brand new 2021 Mercedes. Everything from the 1st visit 2 months ago to my last visit last week was easy and pleasurable. I needed to research many luxury makes and models. I never felt bothered, nor rushed but my salesman, Sean McC kept in touch with me thru the whole process.     From start to finish I had the greatest customer service from Mercedes-Benz of Caldwell. From my amazing salesman Gene Santini (best salesman ever). Steve, who met me when I dropped off my car for service, was so personable and answered all my questions. A young lady helped me when I came to pick up my car and she helped me as soon as I walked in the door. (sorry I don't know remember her name but she was terrific) My 2020 GLE 350 rides so smooth and the inside is beautiful. Mercedes of Caldwell, was by far, my favorite dealership that we bought cars from. Go to Mercedes of Caldwell and ask for Gene- I promise-- you won't be disappointed!!

    This is my third Mercedes and my second time dealing with Mercedes Benz of Caldwell. Richard and George were exceptional in the sense that they listened to my concerns, my needs, and respected me as a person while going through the process. Some people in this industry are "pushy" and only care about "getting the deal done," but that was NOT the case with either Richard or George. They actually cared about what I wanted and what I felt comfortable with. I told both individuals my non-negotiables and they delivered on that and more. I am very satisfied with my new C300 and look forward to doing business with them in the future. I would recommend working with Richard and George to anyone.

    I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Unbeknownst to myself, the temporary license plate associated with the vehicle purchased from Mercedes Benz of Caldwell had over $200.00 worth of tickets associated with the license 4 days prior to me purchasing and driving off with the vehicle in August. The dealership alleged that the temporary plates were printed the day of purchase, however the New Jersey Turnpike Authority has pictures of a vehicle running through 5 different tolls with the same license plate number given to me by Mercedes Benz of Caldwell 4 days later. What makes the situation worse is that there was absolutely no effort on their part to rectify the situation in fact; the NJ Turnpike Authority was much more helpful than anyone at the dealership. The fact that they would allow a customer to drive off with a vehicle with dirty plates without remorse is very incompetent and concerning.

    Brandon, We issued you a valid temporary tag/registration. The vehicle that incurred the toll violation was a fraudulent tag bearing the same tag number. Unfortunately, this has been more common recently. You reached our Sales Manager and he spent as much time as possible explaining the situation. We issued you the tag on 10-28-2021. That is the date the tag number was created. The violation occurred on 10-25-2021. Our Sales Manager then logged into the NJ toll/violation website and entered the information/violation number to find that there was no penalty due. Clearly, the authorities caught on to the situation and removed any penalty. He did so while on the phone with you. We have attempted to call you multiple times to reiterate this rather than address your claims of “dirty plates” being issued by our dealership. We hoped that you would take down this review as the claim is clearly false. We are certain that our staff acted in good faith. The Mercedes-Benz of Caldwell Management team

    One of the best experiences I’ve had buying a Mercedes. Jonathan Murphy went above and beyond! He made the process so easy , I would recommend him if you’re interested in leasing / purchasing.
