I have been banking with Navy Federal for 16 years. I spent 9 years in the Marine Corps Active Duty and 3 years in the Reserves. I have served my country and love being called a veteran and the pride and perks it comes with including VA loans. I have bought a home with Navy Fed before while in active duty and it was a great experience. You may wonder, why is this guy talking about Navy Fed? Well because despite my background, bank history, great credit, and good income to afford a home, Navy Fed could not approve us in 40 days after working with them. They could not approve us not because of the lack of income, but because they could not do their job effectively.
