Mariner Finance FL, Cocoa

I've used this branch several times in the past and was pleased with the service. I went back yesterday and it was a completely different experience. I was told I was approved for $4000 and had to come into the office to sign. When I got to the office I was told I was only going to be able to get $3500 due to my income. Before I was handed my check I was asked to endorse a separate check that was presented to me upside-down so that I couldn't see the amount and then was quickly pulled away. After I left the office I reviewed my paperwork and discovered that the"secret" check was for $500 which meant that my loan was for the original about of $4000 but I only received $3500. There reasoning was that it was for a home and auto policy. I have canceled the policy and now have to wait 30 days for the $500 dollars to be refunded to me. This is all very shady and I will not be returning nor would I recommend their service to anyone.

Mariner has always been there for my family when we needed assistance. Arthur works really hard to make sure things happen and are done right.

Mariner Finance, great company to do business with. My initial experience was a check in my mail box in the amount of $2,500 no queztions asked, took check to bank imprinted and was told check was legit, cashed check without paying any fee then called finance company who told me that i could come in for another loan. Oh!!! when i received the check a letter was with it explaining this was a loan and how much i would pay monthly if i decided to cash the check. Ot has been several years since and i am still doing business with them. Special shout out to everyone at the Cocoa Office

Tried using the app for a loan 😅 (don't bother) went to the Cocoa branch and was more than happy with my experience there.

Mariner finance has been a great company to do business with. The staff is personable and professional with the knowledge needed to help with one’s financial questions and needs!

I have used Mariner Finance for my needs for several years and will continue to turn to them for their ease of process and extreme friendliness!

Mariner Finance: Came at a good time! I needed a little extra funds... they were looking for clients. Good fit, huh? I thought so too until this morning when CREDIT KARMA sent an ‘alert’ saying “ARE YOU AWARE SOMEONE JUST DID A HARD INQUIRY ON YOUR ACCOUNT”? WHAT?? Absolutely NOT!! They PULLED a HARD COOY credit with OUT my knowledge OR authorization! Mariner did contact ME yesterday.asking if I needed any loans... I replied “NOT RIGHT NOW but may do so in a few weeks... Arthur at Mariner Finance DID A HARD COPY REQUEST, not a SOFT one but a HARD COPY... without me KNOWING ANYTHING ABOUT IT! This has NO repercussions for HIM OR THEM... But will FOLLOW my credit around for a FEW YEARS!! ITS PRETTY DARN CONVENIENT THAT NOTIFICATIONS ARE SENT DURING NON OFFICE DAYS AND HOURS LEAVING CUSTOMERS (LIKE YOU AND ME)...with just a place (like this) to VENT! That’s it! Goes no where. Nobody wants to address anything now days especially if the customer is NOT at fault! This is what our customer service has come down to. I REMEMBER WHEN CUSTOMERS CAME FIRST I’ve been trying for SIX years to increase credit score (after 26 yr marriage ended) and definitely don’t need an “OUTSIDER” to access my information, in order to meet a daily quota! VERY DISAPPOINTED IN FLORIDA MARINER!
