The loan process was very efficient. Overall, the loan closed in less than 6 weeks which is very impressive. I appreciated the communication from my senior loan manager. He checked in with me every 5-6 days to let me know where the process stood and what items were still needed. In addition, the Loan Depot website was very helpful. I appreciated the notifications to review/sign documents. It was very easy to log on and electronically sign necessary documents.

Jordan was so nice. He was patient and took the time to answer all my questions. He even asked me at the end if I understood and wanted to make sure. Our loan officer Joe Jamarillo was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend him to anyone. He is nice, professional and HONEST, which is super important. We love Joe and he deserves the very best from Loan depot. Our processor Jennifer was amazing also. Everyone communicated and stayed on top of our loan. Our builder was extremely impressed with how smooth the process was with our loan which I believe is because of Joe for staying on top of everything to insure a smooth and timely closing. Best and easiest loan I’ve ever had.

Overall good experience given the complexity of my home refinance. The Online communication was more effective in general rather than when I would try to call in. Only issue I had was communication during the closing process and how long the refinance itself dragged out (almost 2 months). Only reason I'm leaving out the last star. But other than that it was great, throughout the process I felt that the team working in my refinance truly cared and tried being as helpful as possible. I have recommended Loan depot to many people.

Loan Consultants are amazing when you start your loan. Please rehire better customer service for the senior managers. It is literally a nightmare once the processing is passed down and no one wants to contact you. I would not recommend Loan Depot to others just for that fact. There should always be good communication/customer service for a loan company.

I have found Alex to be a pleasure to deal with. We first spoke in, I think it was, September and Alex was set to call me November 1 for a follow-up. Even calling in the evening since I work 3rd shift. When he called I ignored him as I was quite ill and not in the mood to talk finances. I then sent a text...I love the texting option. It is so convenient. He called again on the 3rd. I did not answer. What I appreciated the most was that he didn't badger me. I know that's the thing companies push but it would have pushed me right away. I reached out by text recently and Alex answered rather quickly and now my loan is being processed! Thank you Alex! Everything was great until I said I needed to cancel appraisal and would expect a refund immediately. As the money was withdrawn from my account, I agreed to a hold. Legally I should have not been charged until an appraisal was scheduled. It had not been. I have spoken with three people who told me the same thing, that no request was put in and they would do it. I don't understand why money has not been returned already especially since this money was taken illegally.

Everything was done online and through email. Only needed to see the appraisal and the notary in person. Everything else was online and easy to access. Nice and quick. All my questions were answered quickly, via email. I provided some initial documentation like W2's and homeowner's insurance paperwork, but once that was done, they didn't even need to ask me for anything more. There was no back and forth having to provide them more documents, which was very nice. From my personal experience, LoanDepot did a great job with refinancing my mortgage.

I could never finish a statement. she kept pushing me to the type of loans that your have vs. listening to me my needs and goals and structure a loan on that basis. I placed a call in response to a conversion loan mailer I received. I was immediately taken through the process and before I knew it I am (almost) a happy conventional mortgage holder. In addition, I was a loanDepot FHA mortgage holder in 2015 before the mortgage was sold twice. I'm happy to be back "home" with loanDepot. As then, I love the way loanDepot operates and treats its employees.

After each step he'd call to check in-after the appraisal appointment was made, and the appraiser left, letting me know all paperwork was in, then after the notary. Your representative is all about getting your information and your paperwork calling 2 times a day, saying the interest rates are going up at any time to hurry up and lock in your rate. In order to lock in your rate you need to give a credit card, so you can be charged $23.05 for a credit report. Then once your credit report is done, they'll move forward with the loan. Then you'll need an appraisal, which I never received BUT my was card was charged. Then to finish it all up I didn't even receive a call or text from the loan rep I got a random email telling me they reviewed my application and could not give me a loan at this time. Ok fine, that's ok. But a call would of been more professional. But the worst thing so far is I contacted my loan rep about the appraisal and nothing back!! I want my money back for the appraisal that was not done!!

Closing at my home. Initial estimate was spot on. Loan officers were very good. Funny how they only include the things that went well. Loan officers very good. Process for me was way to long and verifying employment and wages was a nightmare. A lot of bad in the process.

Written communications are not well targeted. Specifically, I didn’t need to be bothered with very general instructions regarding payment during the recent transition because I was enrolled in auto pay. Also, I am not pleased with being targeted for refinancing only 8-months after I took out my loan when interest rates are even higher! On top of that the licensed agent for SC was very curt, even bordering on being rude. (The telephone screening agent was very polite and professional).

First you get all of my information, and they are telling me that everything is good. The agent says I'll call you tomorrow and tomorrow never comes. I have to call back again. Then another agent stats everything all over again. Then tells me that I don't qualify. So, I'm not happy with Loan depot.

well it simple i have hundreds of contacts over a 3 year period. my crdit score fell from 692 to as low as 480 . if it would have been frozen instantly that afternoon a man wouldn't have pulled my down 250 points in one hour. The result lost $100,000. in interest rates and payments from 2.83% to % 5.49% being offered today. having contracts 20 page documents from your people allover has caused confusion which is thee purpose of Marketing. I feel I gave the information to all the questions ask correctly. I was ask if my spouse was on the mortgage, no she is not. But living in Texas she is on the title by law. Sierra being a lender should have this knowledge. I was charged over $400.00 and was told that I will not receive any of that back. My spouse is in the military and on overseas duty. That being said she can't be in Texas to sign the title documents. I feel mislead by Sierra.

I am not by any means satisfied with my experience regarding my inquiry made for refinance of my current mortgage. I made it very clear, all I was interested in was just my mortgage. I was told by the loan officer that "he would put $10,000 in my pocket" during the course of refinancing. I told him that I was NOT interested in taking out any of my equity. I also told him that I would NOT commit to refinancing without the opportunity to look over ALL of the things he was discussing. He added in the amount of my car loan and another loan to the refi, putting my $90,000 mortgage at over $124,000. When he called the following day, I told him that I was not interested in taking the offer that he had put together. He immediately started asking me why, but continued to talk over me, not giving me the opportunity to say anything in response. When he finally stopped talking and I again told him that I was declining his offer, he took (in my opinion) a very demeaning tone and said that I wasn't making sense. This attitude, I did not appreciate. I told him that I was done talking, that I really did not have to give him a reason for my declining to refinance. He then decided to switch me to his supervisor Ashley, which was trying quite briskly to put the pressure on, and agreed with Diego that my decision to decline did not make since. I finally let her know that I was finished talking, and she very snottily said "good-bye". I understand that they may have high pressure jobs, but I don't think that it is right to tell someone that a decision that they have made concerning the financial impact of their next 30 years, doesn't make sense. I also didn't appreciate Ashley informing me that with my credit rating (750) I would likely not find refinancing elswhere. I can honestly say, that I will not use, nor will I recommend this company to anyone I know. I hope this doesn't sound harsh, but I am not some idiot that know how to read or crunch numbers just because I live in East Tennesse. I am 54 years old, I have an accounting degree, and I raised 3 children on my own without child support or any kind of welfare assistance. I personally think that I am a responsible adult and should not be pressured or question about my decision not to refinance with Loan Depot. Thank you for your time.

Apparently Loan Depot shutdown during the weekend while Rocket Mortgage worked on my refi Sat & Sun. Also, though I was told no appraisal fee would be charged I found out Monday AM that my credit card did in fact have a pending $495 charge from Loan Depot. I trust this will be removed as I did not authorize this. I regret allowing my card to be charged for the credit report.

Ashley was nice to start but then turned overly sales aggressive and kept trying to push me to take the mortgage refinance option SHE felt was our best option when I told her 7 TIMES it was not a financially possible option for us. When I told her we were going with Rocket Mortgage, she then wanted a copy of my driver's license which I declined to provide her. She stated she would then cancel my application and I STILL received loan closing paperwork as if we were using Loan Depot. Very unprofessional in my mind to keep pushing someone into an option they can't afford.

Loan pre qualifications were unreasonable. We were asked to pay some of our debt down before closing, We were treated unfairly because we are self employed for 42 years and very successful. Credit scores are good to excellent. We will not be doing business with Loan depot. We have signed with Citizens Bank mortgage, They gave us what we wanted with no payment requirements pre closing or at closing as you had. Citizens has all of our debt listed that you had with no issues. Our debt is not out of the ordinary and considered "Normal" on our credit reports and we are not using most of our credit available.

Mark the manager stepped in and made sure things were done. Example I asked Keith why the funds were being sent to me to be mailed out to loan companies, his response was “that’s how your loan was set up”. That is when I reached out to his manager, Mark. It was only then that I was told it would be worked on to see if funds could be sent directly to me so I could pay them off directly. CJ stepped in when Keith was out of the office and things were flowing as the should have. Then Keith came back… Mark fixed the problems I had and I appreciated him in this processed.

I was charged 495 after providing my card info and agreeing to the 23 credit check. I never authorized the 495, only the 23. I was very upset, and I was charged over draft fees because I was not prepared for that large transaction. Felt very sneaky and predatory. So I canceled the transaction to move forward with the mortgage there are many other companies that will treat me with respect and transparency.

Initial mortgage processor rude and hung up on me. The follow-up person offered a discount and has so far been fine. Customer service people shouldn't try so hard to "sell" or "close" the mortgage by sending links to websites. If you want to refinance a house, you probably already know that interest rates are going to go up.

Well I had been locked in with my bank. The loan depot agent I was dealing with stated that loan depot motto is we will match or beat other quotes. That did not happen. I was quoted with a slightly better interest rate but to get that rate I was paying for it out of pocket. I never got locked into anything because the agent kept saying I can beat them. That never happened. And basically feel it was a waste of my time.

The rate we were able to lock in was nothing short of phenomenal. Our lending officer was friendly and professional, even as we began our call very near what was the end of his work day. We were especially appreciative of his time, but he assured us that his time didn't matter as much as ours did. He was succinct as he walked us through the process and patient when we needed time here or there to gather information to share with him as we prepared our refinancing loan. When we hung up, we felt as though we had everything we needed in place and were confident that he had provided us with all of the details about the decisions we would be making as we continued the process.

I ended up getting a very good deal on a complicated loan, but the process took more than 3 months even though I returned all requested documents very promptly. If you don't have a deadline, loanDepot might give you the best deal you can find. But, if you need a loan quickly, I'd look elsewhere.

Worst lending experiences I've ever had - yes, I got hooked twice by the low rates, but would have gladly paid slightly higher for the sanity. I refinanced two mortgages in Aug and Dec 2021 and both experiences were terrible. For the first, no one could explain why processing was taking so long and the rate lock needed to get extended 4 times. When they did so, they tried to charge me for it as well. Throughout the process, I had to chase LD rather than getting any proactive updates. So frustrating. The second time, the appraisal process took over 4 weeks and again delayed closing. Rate lock extended again, and prices increased. When the loan team reverted the price back, they tried to tell me they were losing money on the loan because of all the "additional discounts" they were giving me. The appraiser didn't finish the appraisal in an hour visit, and said he would return but never did. Instead, he kept asking me for documents like blueprints and surveys to complete the appraisal. The appraisal had huge mistakes (missing a bathroom, 2 fireplaces) even though pictures in the report had all the rooms. Worst of all, the estimated price of $550 went to over $1500! I had to escalate multiple times to get fees adjusted and credited, even when they legally were not supposed to have increased more than 10%. It was a terrible bait and switch debacle and only through my own investment of hours did I catch the changes. Never again.

We have a high net worth, our gross income per year is about 450k (my husband and I). But it was frustrating that the loan officer and her managers do not know how to help us interpret my husband's K1 tax returns. We have a portfolio of 8 rentals and never did we have a bad experience like this, the previous lenders knew how to help us with my husband's K1 returns except you guys. It is your loss. Will never do business again with you guys. She was asking tax returns that dont exist, I told her I already submitted everything but asking for tax forms that dont exist- you guys do not KNOW how to help client like us (my husband is a physician who has a K1 ).

First experience I had (6 months to a year ago) was terrible, the two I dealt with misrepresented your organization and was not truthful. Therefore I would never recommend your organization. I was contacted by your loan officer on Dec. 22, 2021 about a refinace possibility. After discussing different options we decided on a partial cashout refi. I completed the intial paperwork and was given a list of different items that would be needed to complete the loan. I told the represenatative that I had big holiday plans. I was contacted via email over the holiday weekend telling me that I must submit these items or risk having the loan declined. I enjoyed the holiday and was told that the paperwork had to be submitted on the 27th, it was already the 27th so I told them to decline it. I told them I have a good loan as it is, in the house that I want, and won't be pressure into unrealistic expectations just to refinance. So I let them decline the loan.

All docs that were requested were submitted with the exception of paystubs (which I explained I did not have and why) I indicated details surrounding when my paystubs would be available (01/22 and first week of January - steady employment and new job was verified) It was the holidays, and things were hectic for everyone (including the loan officer since she was out of office some days) While she was away, her supervisor threatened to cancel my loan if I didn't upload my paystubs in 24 hours (got the few days after he left it - and that's outrageous to even mention) The loan was pre-approved to my understanding and we were good to go (last I checked I would upload the paystubs when they were available - and that seemed supplemental) When I looked in my folder again the next week, I saw yet another document to sign around the rate of 2.375 (3rd one - again? why?) After all the personal information I've submitted, I received an email the next week denying the pre-approved loan for no apparent reason (total waste of my time). I won't have my arm twisted into meeting unrealistic expectations or deadlines. I've never heard of any loan company treating a customer this way--especially at the onset of a loan process. Loan officer great to talk to, and gave me many good options and a lot of useful information, but this process and how this happened was horrible. Cancelled my entire loan during the holidays because I didn't provide a single (non-time sensitive) document that I didn't yet have (and they were told that up front) and provided with everything else.

Long delays, poor communication. After jumping through many hoops my loan person, Meghan, just stopped responding and then after a week I called customer service and they told me my loan was inactivated. The next day Meghan called me and talked me into re opening the loan and charged me another credit check fee, then after several more days I just gave up.

The loan officer called and tried to persuade me to refi. Before I even agreed to continue to process, I kept getting emails asking me to finish the application. I requested not to pull my credit report, but I got alerts for credit check and received Documents in the mails showing the credit scores but with wrong employee and SSN. My Loan Officer Michael Cruz was amazing. He was always helpful when I had questions regarding my refinance. He was a good listener, made you feel good going with Loan Depot for my refinance and was there when I had an issue with our original Account Manager Elizabeth Groves who I had been trying to reach for 2 weeks and no return call or email from her. I was worried and reached out to Michael for help in trying to get our refinance closing scheduled. Michael took action right away and reached out to his boss who called me to tell me that he was told from Elizabeth's manager she was out sick and our loan had not been given to someone else to finalize and someone will be calling me soon. That someone was an angel named Marrian Tyler, Sr. Account Manager who took over my loan and got us cleared to close within a day of contacting me. Loan Depot has a great staff working for them. I hope Elizabeth is feeling better and is back to work.

I was told multiple different times and ways that Loan Depot would match or beat any deal I sent to them. After sending two different offers I have to them with my rate locked. They were $4500 and $9500 more in closing costs. They told me that the deal I’m moving forward with is with a different company. The loanDepot person I’ve been working with said that my deal isn’t a deal and they are gonna want more money.

They did not deliver on their promise to match or beat other loan estimates. I felt pressured into providing payment for the appraisal fee to “lock in my rate” and then at the last minute while they were processing my card was told about the credit check fee. I requested cancellation on my application but have received no indication that that action has been taken. Once I decided to no longer do business with their company the gentleman I was working with was rude. I will not now or ever recommend anyone to do business with this company.

From his very first call, my family was already at ease and peace knowing that he would do his best to keep his promises. He called, gave us his direct contact, and email address. Sami took his time, I mean, his tiiiimmmmeeee to make sure ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS were answered. He went beyond reviewing every question, every paper we submitted, every attempt to communicate with him, he was there. I could not ask for a better Representative to assist my family with our application. We didn't only have 1 Sami, Ms. Toler was as responsive as Sami was. Although I didn't talk much to M. Toler, she did come through all the time I needed. Both of them really kept my family focus, at ease knowing that our application was in great hand and that LoanDepot would actually take care of us. I knew about you since I am a fan of the Florida Marlins. My initial communication was not directly with you, I was inquiring about a HELOC, in less than 12 hours I was contacted by several mortgages companies, and of all the agents with whom I spoke, I am honest, I liked 2 (one of them was you), Fortunately for you, the person who called me was extremely friendly, very sweet the truth was that it was a pleasure to talk with her, the person from the other company was also very nice but what made me decide for you was that the other spoke to me like a car salesman and I did not like that. But Correena never pushed me to make a decision, but make no mistake, she knew how to sell me the best option. The best part was the response time from her which was AMAZING. And to put the cherry on top of the ice cream, the personalized treatment that she gave us (me and my wife) made us feel very good. The online portal was great and user friendly. Process as a whole was just ok. Very hard to contact loan officer after starting the process. Didn't have too many delays. I'd say the whole process took a little over a month. They could lower the rate and fees but they have higher approval rate than most. I would suggest anybody who can't get a loan with a bank or has a mediocre credit score apply.

When I called, I was not committed to doing anything at that time, I just wanted information. I even dialed *67 prior to the call to prevent sharing my number. However, Kyle was so easy to talk to, and made me feel such at ease that I went ahead with the refinance with that first phone call. Was misled by loan officer. Very upset. Said we were approved and our pool would not be a problem. Willing to let us go through with appraisal and spend 495.00 with the knowledge the mortgage would be approved contingent upon our pool being repaired. That was the first thing we asked when we started talking and he assured us that would be no problem. Days later after submitting all the paperwork, it was the processor that finally told us our loan would not be approved if our swimming pool was not in working order. We feel that Loan Depot was not honest and upfront with us and would never recommend them to anyone.

Everything went seamlessly from the cold call that I received, to IoanDepot calling me and Jason helping me. I was interested in a refinance about 3-4 months ago but another broker was not responsive and dropped the ball. So I wasn't interested in going through the refinance process again for next 6-12 months. But someone called while I was in a traffic jam, and qualified me ... then I get a call from loanDepot who then transferred me to Jason who helped me out greatly. By the time I reached home, we were nearly done with the application. I only had to upload the requested document and I was. The whole process took maybe 60-90 minutes max.

My initial home loan was with loan depot and it was a terrible experience, no returned calls, got to closing table and cost was more than agreed on, loan advisor waited till the last minute for everything such as doc that needed to be signed & faxed, had to change closing times due to unknown paperwork that was needed, & while talking to him on the phone it was very unprofessional kids were screaming in background at same time he admitted to taking a class while on phone with me, kept having to say "let me call you back". Now a year later I've been getting 4-5 calls a day to do a refi with loan depot again after agreeing it's been a week since I started the loan and I haven't heard anything from anybody. So again I'm not very happy.

So far so good, the application was direct and easy to complete The loan was completed in a timely manner and the rate was great! The staff at Loan Depot always kept us in the loop and we never had to guess or wonder what was going on with the process. Closing was smooth and funding was fast!!

I talked with John and told him his offer was fair but I wanted to discuss it with my family and not to run my credit. I told John I would email him when I was ready. I emailed him the next day and told him that I found a better offer and will not be going forward with loan depot. I kept receiving calls from loan depot and talked to another representative who gave me another offer and I said I was already fully committed with another firm and will not be going forward with loan depot. I still receive calls from loan depot every day to the point where I have blocked every number I can from lake forest California. I am not a candidate with loan depot I have told multiple people and I should not be getting loan applications with my credit report in it and daily calls when I have been quite clear all alone and have not committed. Please stop contacting me.

I was refinancing to a fixed 20 year, 2.25% loan beginning about a month ago. Loan Depot was great with his customer service aspect at the beginning but attempted to refinance an old house that we no longer owned. I brought this up, both on a recorded line and in e-mail to him, and was told that this would be resolved later on. This was not corrected and Loan Depot denied the loan. Loan Depot attempted to rectify the situation by promising the resubmit and I'd have the original terms of the loan met plus a credit applied which did not happen. It took about 3 weeks for new loan estimate paperwork to come through and that did not resemble the original terms because rates had climbed. In the end, the new terms that came through no longer made it a logical choice to continue with loan depot so I canceled the loan. Because of this experience, please do not contact me about loan refinancing in the future. This simple error, which I brought up and got pushed aside, cost me many thousands of dollars that I will not be able to capture. I will not be returning in any capacity to loan depot.....ever.

Even the notary was rude and unprofessional taking phone calls and texting during our meeting. We get no follow through from anything anyone says so I would never recommend using loan depot ever! Nothing about the process deserves even one star The entire process sucked and every person we’ve dealt with has fallen short with absolutely no follow through at all! It is extremely difficult to disclose personal and financial information to complete strangers and then to be insulted for with holding information you already gave to the initial contact. I was completely honest about my financial current position. There is no reason for me to lie about bankrupt issues or tax liens. If I'm aware of the issues I will be the first to scream them out loud and clear. Refinancing this property never should have gone to the appraisal process without all the digging from loanDepot completed. Honestly, I would have not reach the appraisal process had I know there were tax liens against my property. There is no time to waste on either side, especially if one side will be totally disappointed. Next time, don't waste an applicant time and take them through weeks and weeks of digging, just say no day one.

Had a good long talk with Nicholas, and started an application. The same day, Rocket Mortgage offered a better rate and costs. I cancelled the app with Nicholas. Your employees have repeatedly contacted me about trying to retain the app and offered to get better terms. I told them no, and if better terms were available, I should have been given them from the start.

Juliana is an excellent loan officer. She is friendly and patient and explains things in great detail; something that I had not seen with 3 other lenders with whom I spoke. Juliana did not rush me to start the application process. She wanted to make sure I understood exactly what I was getting into. Even when I called to let her know that another lender told me that my loan was not possible the way it is structured with Loan Depot; she took the time to listen to what I had to say and then explain thoroughly (again) why my load is possible as stated. Her explanation was then backed by the numbers. I am better off with Loan Depot's loan than with any of the other lenders with whom I spoke.

I received a letter from Loan-depot , with an interest rate less than what I pay now, for which I called the customer service , the guy did not heed to whatever Im saying , started quoting numbers which are more than my current ones no way closer to what was in the letter. He said, he could provide correct number after credit check is run. To be nice I took a call from Loan Depot even though I was already working with a different company that had the same rates and costs and much better reviews. After a few moments I told the caller that I did not have any interest in a Loan Depot loan and after repeatedly saying that ended the call. After that time, I have had dozens of calls from Loan Depot, at least half a dozen e-mails and received a full packet on mailed, paper loan documents. I have told at least 3 of the callers that I had already locked in a rate with another company and had no interest in Loan Depot. Still, I continue to have calls and emails from them. Simply proving the reviews I read were correct and that I made the correct decision in NOT working with Loan Depot.

I always get great treatment from Loan Depot. The return customer perks are awesome. My loan rep is personable and answered all my questions, even when I called back with more questions. I love the loan portal where I can sign papers, upload documents and get messages. This is my third or fourth time coming back to Loan Depot and I never have any regrets.

I would not recommend Loan Depot to anyone and will never do business with them again. I wanted to refinance my mortgage due to the lower interest rates compared to my original loan. I was assured I could close in 45 days. The process took nearly 4 months with varying loan amounts and added fees with each closing disclosure. The delays cost me hundreds of dollars in added interest.

This is not a reflection of the service provided by Kylie. It's the interaction with her manager the reason for the following statement. His threatening approach is the only reason why we are not utilizing Loan Depot. I explained my belief and he couldn't respect my statement. I informed him my belief are driven by race and religion, yet he continued to disrespect me. A customer shouldn't be disrespected or have to ask for an apology several times. Additionally, I left a message for that manager's manager and was informed he would be "too busy to return my call." I never received a call back from that manager. Another reflection of how management doesn't value a customer and lack of willingness to resolve a situation.

We were very pleased with how quickly Ryan got to the problem and how quickly he realized you could not help us refinance our loan because we do not have flood insurance and since we took out the loan with Wells Fargo, the government now has made us get flood insurance for our house even though it is not located itself in the flood zone. Some property we own with the house is. But he was very professional and told us up front how it was. We appreciated that.

Worst lending experience in my 15 years of purchasing and Refinancing. And I was a repeat customer because the first experience in 2019 was stellar. Stay away from them. They do not communicate and they don’t know what’s going on with your loan paperwork. Old review The application piece was fine and lots of communication over the phone and via text. After that your service went from a 5 to a 2. No phone calls on next steps, no communication except in an email of which gets missed because I’m busy and get flooded with 100 different emails.

Great communication via email/text/phone! Also, they were able to easily get me more cash back from my refi after the original amount was set without issues. The electronic signing made the process much faster and smoother for both sides as I was able to easily view and sign everything from my own computer instead of having to wait for mail or go somewhere to sign. Having the notary come to our home made the closing process smooth and very convenient for us as well! I felt that I was setup to release my credit information. I said over, over and over. There was no need to run a 3 Bureaus credit report because it only hurts, and you get the benefit of all my credit information. I did get hurt. All 3 Bureaus reported too much used of using credit; therefore, my score was lower my 11 points. It contained a not too positive comment. Yet, the loan boss assured me that it would not hurt my credit. I feel like that I talked to a car dealer and then found out the real SCORE.

Written communications are not well targeted. Specifically, I didn’t need to be bothered with very general instructions regarding payment during the recent transition because I was enrolled in auto pay. Also, I am not pleased with being targeted for refinancing only 8-months after I took out my loan when interest rates are even higher! On top of that the licensed agent for SC was very curt, even bordering on being rude. (The telephone screening agent was very polite and professional).

Tina who was the processor did everything right. She, not the person who was named in this survey, was on top and communicated regularly. I am not sure why she is no longer with the company. Also note we were told the loan would fund and we would not have to make an April payment. We received a letter that the loan did not close, this pulling a payment for April for the previous loan.

I filled out some information online on a Tuesday about a cash out refi. Steve called me and took some basic information. He ran our credit and called back with a question. He said he would call back in 30 minutes, but I heard nothing despite leaving a voicemail and sending an email. On Thursday, I received an automated email asking us to sign disclosures and provide financial information. I went in to the account and saw that it said loan amount was $215,000 which was much, much higher than what I had expected. I had no breakdown of the amount, no way of knowing proposed loan terms, nothing. I emailed Steve and cc'd his supervisor to let him know I was not going to provide any information to them without receiving loan terms and more information about the loan first. I was upset that I had not heard from him and that this automated email was the first I had heard anything. I finally received an email back that he had been out ill and that they could not offer us a loan because of our bankruptcy. No explanation. No apology for not getting back to us. Just a one line response. I wrote back and asked why he felt our bankruptcy would prohibit us getting the loan because we were going from a VA loan to a VA refinance, and bankruptcy should not preclude that. I also stated that if the bankruptcy had something to do with their company policy, then he should have said something when I first spoke to him. I don't understand, because several other lenders have had no problem offering us loan terms despite the bankruptcy. I then received an email from his supervisor stating that they could not do a VA cash refi for one year after discharge and saying sorry we can't help you. There was no apology for not getting back to me. I felt this whole experience was unprofessional and both people were extremely rude and unapologetic. You have lost a potential customer for life, and I will be sure to leave reviews online about the service I received and post on social media to tell people to stay away. No wonder your company has such low ratings. Your ads are a lie. You don't care about people.

Avoid companies that do not offer transparency; like this one. Don't listen when they say they have a great rate for you; they are going to try to get you to pay points in order to get the rate which is not them offering it to you but rather you paying for the rate which you can do anywhere and with your current mortgage. Still waiting to get refunded my refundable appraisal fee and don't bother trying to get problems resolved they will be in sales mode and act like they don't quite understand the questions you have for them.

"Too many cooks spoil the broth"... I spent the first 1 1/2 days communicating with Patrick. Things were going well as I was hearing from him and from another lender I was in contact with. Then, after a day and a half communicating with Patrick, whom I informed I had family visiting from out of town and wouldn't be as available over the next few days, I was contacted by no fewer than 5 DIFFERENT people from LoanDepot in 48 hrs, despite Patrick honoring and respecting the limited time I had with my sister visiting from out of state, as well as family friends we had not seen in a few years who also came to visit from another part of my state. I was completely annoyed and disrespected by EVERYONE OTHER THAN PATRICK at LoanDepot.

The second processor Kirl Williams, jumped right in and worked things timely.. The executives were amazing. The loan officer Jamie Comer, I would not recommend her at all. I talk to her 2 or 3 times in 3 months. She was not responsive and was not communicating!! Yesterday, the agent gave me a lot of options like ARM 5+1 and 30-yr fixed, down payment from 5% - 30%, Point 0 - 4 point and keep on asking me to lock the rate and pay for appraisal report. But he couldn't tell me what rate will I lock. After I submit my application, today he said only 30-yr fixed, down payment >15% and 1.5 point. Interest Rate is way higher. I don't think this agent knows what is doing and base on this experience, I won't recommend loanDepot.

Failed to respond to some calls and emails asking about closing. Was notified 7 days after closing documents were signed and witnessed that full property tax and insurance payments were required to fund the loan.

Got the rate I wanted! Started as a solicitor phone call. I was trapped inside a car wash with nothing to do so I humored the solicitor by not hanging up. This lead to a transfer to agent Randy Hegedus who got me an excellent rate in the smoothest refi I have ever gone through.

I was waiting for my refinance to be fully approved, and complete for some time. Longer than originally stated it might take. The only issue I had is the waiting time without current updates from the processor. Yoshiko. When I finally did hear from her, multiple things had changed, and changed, and changed. It got to be very confusing. I received one phone call from her, and an email about my taxes and if they were approved. I emailed her back, asking if that was something she could confirm through my current mortgage company, and it took forever to receive word back. For the longest time, I still didn't have answers to my questions regarding property taxes and if it might be something that holds up my refinance. The loan processor, Yoshiko, was terrible to deal with and if it wasn't for my loan office, Kyle Harris and the loan that I had locked in, I probably would've backed out. He was wonderful throughout the entire transaction, and the person I chose to communicate through. He was easy to get in touch with, and returned emails / phone calls in the same day. Loan Depot gave me a good deal and our loan officer was wonderful. Please keep in mind that although there may be one bad apple in the bunch, the entire barrel is not bad. I would use Loan Depot again as long as I did not have to deal with Yoshiko again.

I only wanted to know the terms and rates available for refinance. I did not like that I had to have a hard credit pull to get quotes. I did not like that you spoof local numbers to make it look like you are a local company calling. I don't like that the day after Kyle, my loan representative, provided quotes, I received an email saying you found improved closing cost and rates for me but that I had to contact this new number to quality. I think your business practices come across as shady. I did enjoy my conversation with Kyle and think he did a fine job.

I was inquiring about a refinance on my mortgage I had informed him that myself and Gary Gallicchio had very low credit scores so he is asking myself all this info he got to assets and was putting high $ prices on our vehicles especially Gary's motorcycle I inquired as to why he was asking about our assets as I had never done a mortgage refinance that way he said something like well we are not like other lenders ( ain't that the truth ) when he got done he proceeded to have me pick which mortgage deal I liked best Well I'll be darn they was for a loan at 23% or 24% interest I mentioned to him that I was not wanting a loan I was looking to refinance our mortgage I told him I was not interested in the crazy loan offer he had come up with The next day I believe it was a Monday low and behold there was a email to me And a email addressed to Gary with the crazy loan offer Again I said no Thank You almost 3 hours on the phone the day before for nothing

Sam did everything he could to close the loan according to my needs. He forgot how to do math resulting in a quote that would not work for him or me. He had the audacity to request I send him a check for $500.00 as a processing fee on a loan that was against all principles of your company. I did not have the income to justify the loan. It appears Sam was just trying to close a loan without regard for my needs. If I had sent this money, Sam would have received a lawsuit for fraud. I sent him an email requesting he drop the offer and he did not even respond. Not a good way to do business. I have currently secured a refinance at a higher rate through a non-conventional lender.

Experience with my builder mortgage company was the worst opted to take high intrest rate and the credit I got for that paid the closing costs to refi with loan depot and cut my payme to by 210.00 a month as well. Best advise I ever got and best decision

I was trying to pay for appraisal and the wrong amount got charged causing the credit card company to lock the card due to several attempts on trying to collect the fee. He would not return my call to resolve the issue and says the charges were reversed. I asked several times for him to call and he never did even after saying he would. This is the third person i have had problems with trying to refinance.

I mentioned that my original loan was at an interest rate of 3.99% for the loan I got back in aug2020. Federal interest rates have gone much higher since then and I mentioned that it doesn’t sound right that they would be able to save me a money, but the agent insisted in wasting my time and running my credit and came back with a much higher rate.

Their sales department is friendly, but the experience goes downhill after that. They have good rates and seem to be willing to match the rates of their competitors, so it's worth it if you're willing to let them try to put you through the ringer. You have to stay on them (i.e., multiple voicemails followed by emails as written record that you left a voicemail) if you actually want to get through the process in a timely manner. I was originally told 45-60 days to close. It took 4 months, and it would have probably dragged on longer had I not made the conscious decision to call 2-3 times a week during the last 1-2 months.

As a whole, my experience was good. My only issue is that in the first discussion with your representatives, I mentioned about my being on the deferment and all of that was approved but at the last moment, I was told that I had to make 12 payments to qualify. This should have been told up front, after our discussion and your review and definitely before I sent all of the personal documents. For your next customer and future customers, please ask this question up front and let them know, then, what actually qualifies them. It was such a waste of time and its not good to send all of this personal info without being approved.

I was emailed dicuments that had charcoal colored backgrounds. No matter what I did they were very difficult to impossuble to read. Printing it out helped nothing. Dont you want your customers to be able to see what you send? Also, I was rushed to decide with 2 hrs left in the business day (I assume). The decision to refi involves my HOUSE!!! That is a major decision, I'd say...and one to look at carefully!!! You have some very immature practices going on...

The representative I was connected to was pleasant and helpful. While he did not provide me with as many options as some other lenders I talked to, he still gave me a lot and, importantly, enough options to choose from. He was also very helpful in later steps of the applications, explaining what each document and listening for the specific details of my specific situations.

Great company to work with. They have a very streamlined and modern approach to dealing with mortgages. Their web portals are easy to use and it was a breeze for us to upload documents and files throughout the process. The portals also let us review the disclosures and other important information while providing a message portal to communicate with our reps. We just completed our second refi with loanDepot and are very happy with the level of service we received.

1.The professionalism and communication was excellent throughout the process. There were a few unusual circumstances associated with refinancing a condo (vs a house) and the fact that the condo was in a trust. Although our Loan Officer and Processor did not always have an immediate answer to a question, both were very good at following up and getting back to us on a timely basis with the answer. Both were very pleasant to work with. 2.The costs of the refinance was reasonable. 3. We closed within a reasonable period of time from the beginning of the process.

Very unhappy with my experience. The loan took 150 days to close. The loan officer was not a great communicator and did not disclose fees being added on. Be careful about the fees they tell you during the initial disclosure document. There appear to be hidden fees at the end of the process. The amount of money I was to get back or places in escrow was decreased by over $3000.00. I am still trying to find out where that money went. Hidden fees? I will shop elsewhere for a loan in the future. If I could I would give them a zero rating.

Simply magnificent! James Doyle was highly in tune with my needs. Very considerate in his approach in helping while being highly knowledgeable in his area of expertise. I can't thank him enough on The Golden Ticket to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory! Truly that's how I feel! He saved me over a thousand dollars a month in credit card and interest payments and that's at the minimum payment "while I pay extra on each card" I will be free from debt, have my mortgage payments reduced and have extra money to reinvest in my farm. Adam went above and beyond to take care of my wife and I to get us "approved" for a cash out refinance. Considering we are not the most well of people and have been struggling for awhile, it was nice to have a breathe of fresh air. I was offered a loan at 1.99% when I asked for a good faith estimate, I was ghosted by the replacement Meagan. I went with another company. Loan Depot then proceeded to call me 8 times after I told them I chose another company, why I didn't choose Loan Depot, and requested they STOP calling me. I have had to block any number I do t k ow because they won't stop calling!

I've had 4 mortgages and done 2 refi's in my life. This experience was by far the worst. Terrible time to process my loan. Constant apologies for the time it was taking. No answer or action as to why other than...."the other department is still...." Save yourself a headache. Read CUSTOMER reviews on Yelp, BBB, etc., not the biased views of "analysts" or paid "experts". The initial part of choosing the rate etc. was easy. Of course, it's everything after that will leave you wondering why you went with LoanDepot. -- Reply to LoanDepot. A bit late don't you think? I expressed my dissatisfaction throughout the loan process, yet not until after I publicly posted my reviews does LoanDepot want to discuss the problems. Too late.

I was happy with the whole process: customer service, speed, communications and expertise and they got me a super low rate (2.25%). They used all forms of communication (email, text, phone calls) to keep me in the loop and let me know when documents were being sent for signature. Their portal made all of the document processing very easy. When I closed they sent the notary agent to me...that was a big help. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get a mortgage or refinance their home.

I would give a zero if I could. I’ve been given misinformation which is very disappointing. I was told by the account manager that I was all set for closing. Then days before closing I’m told I have to pay taxes at closing when the account manager stated the taxes were paid by my current bank which made me decide to proceed with the process. I strongly recommend you get everything in writing. I have a voicemail but loan Depot insist they did not state this. Be cautious when doing business with Loan Depot. They rescind on their word.

The minute I submitted the application, my phone started ringing from people all over the US. Then the texts started. This was truly the simplest, most transparent loan process I've been through. From Steve's initial phone call to Charles letting me know the loan was ready for dispursement, it was all of 30 days. The rate was great and they sent a notary to my home to sign all of the documents. I highly recommend Loan Depot!
