I just got my Silverado from Lee Johnson Mazda and I cannot express how grateful and thankful I am for this dealership. To be more specific, car salesman Mitch O. Mitch was the best person I have ever worked with at a dealership. When me and my wife pulled up on the kids today with the new truck, their smiles were priceless. Our Dodge Ram was stolen in December 2021. If you ever had your car stolen, you know the pain my family was going through. Today, we celebrate. Mitch was super helpful, kind, down to earth, easy to talk to, and the best thing was he kept giving me hope that we were going to leave with the truck we wanted, the price we wanted, the interest rate we needed, etc. I couldn't stop thanking him for helping us in this process. I was doing research on many potential cars to purchase and replace my Mercedes earlier this year (Jan / Feb) and ended up being lucky enough to meet Mitch O. Mitch immediately gained my rapport by sharing his experience and knowledge on cars in general; and having an innate ability to understand where I was coming from in terms of balancing needs / wants. I ended up purchasing a completely different vehicle elsewhere in the weeks following, but never forgot Mitch's good knowledge and helpfulness which ultimately did impact my happy decision. Fast forward to more recent last couple weeks, as my daughter's car was failing in reliability and becoming a money pit, I was again out looking for a good vehicle to replace hers. I recently bought a 22 Mazda 3 and let me start off by saying the sales department is amazing! After buying my car I took it in to have a couple warranty things checked out and let me tell you the service is incredible. Jim the general manager, is super helpful and made everything as smooth as it could be. He made sure we were well taken care of and had great communication. Scott over in the service department is a super cool guy and had outstanding customer service along with the fact that he took great care of my vehicle. The mechanics in the service department went out of their way to send an update video of my car and how they fixed what was going on. I’m blown away and incredibly appreciative for such good service!!

I recently had to purchase two new vehicles from Nick Roche. We had a great experience both times. We only needed one new car initially, but when that brand new car was stolen and subsequently totaled, we needed to buy THE SAME CAR ALL OVER AGAIN. Ugh, it was pretty traumatic. Got a Mazda CX-5 for lease over here. Worked with Mitchell and Tim for the deal. Never pushed me to get the car like other salesman in different dealerships. They were responsive with email and phone. Gave me all the details on how the lease was calculated for transparency. The process was easy, quick and they helped me with credit checks as well. I first came in when I was on the fence about keeping my current car versus trading it in for a new one. I worked with Nick Smith, and he was very helpful with some of the specs that I didn't know off the top of my head, and helped me put together a hypothetical deal so I could make an informed decision. I didn't feel pressured at all like I have in the past at other dealers, and although I decided against getting a new Mazda, I had a great experience and remember saying I would have no problem going back if I changed my mind in the future. Fast forward a couple of weeks, I had changed my mind, reached back out to Nick, and we were able to figure out what was inbound from the factory and still available to choose from, and got a car locked in. The whole process was smooth and easy, and I would definitely go back to Lee Johnson for my next car.

I recently purchased A vehicle from Tim Johnson and had the absolute best experience. I’ve never had a horrible experience buying a car, but it’s certainly something I don’t enjoy and typically doesn’t feel great for most of the transaction. I’m not sure why this industry has such a bad reputation, but I’ve certainly experienced a lot of misconceptions or half truths being told along the way until we get to the paperwork and the truth comes out, and that never feels right to me. This was not the case with Tim, and Lee Johnson Mazda. Not only was he gracious and kind the entire time, he was so knowledgeable about every aspect of the car buying process, and made a real effort to get to know me as a person to be able to better serve me and put me in the correct vehicle for the long run. That alone was something I’d never experienced in this industry. Needless to say, I was able to purchase a car that had everything I had asked for, and even after I bought it, he took an additional 1-2 hours to educate me about the vehicle and the technology it provides. The next day, on my daughters 5th birthday, we picked up the car. When we walked in Tim had our keys in hand along with the sweetest birthday gift for my daughter- a rainbow unicorn stuffed animal and a box of cupcakes. I had already signed papers the night before, so this gesture was not something he had to do, but he did anyway. This entire experience was honest, thorough, and actually fun. I worked with Ben and Jimmy, his sales manager. Being that I worked in the car business prior for several years, I had certain expectations. They were great and I didn't feel pressured at all. This is my first Mazda purchase and never knew much about them at all. Been took the time for the full walk-around. I came in for a new cx-5 but very happy and maybe happier with a used one that had extremely low mileage and ended up signing for it on the day I came in just to look at it. It was one of the better deals as it was almost new with only 5k miles on it and one of the full loaded cx-5a. They're reasonable on price. I was upfront about my payment budget and Jimmy worked with me on it throughout. One of my better experience around the area as I had gone to 2 dealerships prior to look at other make and models.

Mazda makes good cars. But don't lease car here. I've leased a CX3 from 2017 for 3 years. Just returned it this on this month. When I returned it, they did some paper works and said that's it, all done. But quickly, I awarded I still need to pay the lease fee for next month, even I've overpaid one month. I emailed Lee Johnson Mazda then they said they are "Third Party" and can not do anything for me. I need to call Mazda Capital service by myself. What!!!?? They even did not tell me anything about this while I returned car. So Don't lease car from this THIRD PARTY dealer.

Called up Lee Johnson on a Saturday morning, and that afternoon I drove away in my new Mazda CX-5. Raleigh Anderson helped me out and was great to work with through the process. He was very knowledgeable and informative during our test drive and made sure to point out all the safety and technology features in the car. I'm kind of shocked to be honest. I always get my oil changed here and they check everything like always, this time they said my cabin air filter was in need of replacement. He showed it to me and I agreed it needed replacing but he told me it was $75 to replace! He already had it out so it didn't matter if he put that one or a new one in and a new OEM filter is only $34.99. I totally don't understand a 115% mark up, that is just insane.

Horrible experience. Went in for an oil change at the Service department, and found out the Skid Plate is missing. Cost $ 170 for the parts and labor which I don’t mind (you can find parts online for $60). After 2.5 hours of waiting, they told me they need to order it and come back again the next few days?? They could have told me right after the oil change instead of me waiting there for 2.5 hours. Quite annoying so I decided not to replace it and cancel the service. Charge me for restocking fee?? Ended up spending 3 hours and $125 just for the oil change:) Will try out Seattle Mazda or Walker’s Renton Mazda next time even though it’s further away. Edit: Service manager reach out to me, attentive and friendly. Will give it another try.

Had a terrible experience at Lee Johnson Mazda. We were determined to buy a car and close the deal today but changed our mind after dealing with the Rep. As a sales rep their job is to sell the car to us, he just gave us the keys without even going over the car features or asking about our requirements. We took a test drive with a spoiled mood and obviously didn’t like the car that much. And the discussion about the price was a whole new story…his behavior was prejudiced with no sense of respect .. he rather seemed amused.. Won’t recommend at all !!

My experience with the Lee Johnson Mazda service department on 22-March was, in a word, perfect. I couldn’t have asked for better: everybody who helped me was courteous, prompt, and professional. The service department representative (Johnny) pointed out to me that the service bundle I had initially requested was not needed for my vehicle at this time, saving me a few hundred dollars. The service inspection video that was prepared for me was impressive. The fact that service loaner vehicles are available was a huge source of relief. And my vehicle was ready for pickup within 3.5 hours from the time I brought it in. All around, I was extremely satisfied and pleased with my service visit! Top Marks to Lee Johnson Mazda!

Would like to come back if I am still choosing Mazda as my next car. Okay experience with the finance office. It was a little bit uncomfortable while they were convincing you to get the add-on. The very last guy who seems to be manager( could not remember name) is very nice in the way of recommending extra packages and service and still be friendly after I said no. Overall, good dealership to go to. They are professional in taking care of the cars and paying attention to details. For every test drive car,they will bring to you at the front door in advance if you mentioned while contacting them( small detail but very pleasant).

The dealer ran my credit check and said Mazda could give me a financing rate at x%, so I paid the deposit and waited for the car to be delivered. Once the car was delivered, however, I was told that Mazda wanted to increase the rate to (x+1)%. When I paid the deposit I didn't expect (and wasn't told by the dealer) that the rate could change afterwards, so hope the dealers can be more transparent to their customers. What was worse a manager (wish I had asked for his name) pulled my credit history again after I left the dealership without letting me know or getting my permission in advance, when I asked for an explanation he was very rude and unprofessional. Was very disappointed with my experience here.

The rudest dealer I have seen. Don’t waste your money here! After you pay the deposit, they will change the rate and pull your credit score multiple times without notifying you. They can even charge you more when the vehicle arrives. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

Update May 2021 - had a delightful, super fast car service at Lee Johnson this week with John Rodriguez. The scheduling was easy, wait time was less than 90 minutes, waiting area was hygienic (with social distancing in place) and welcoming. The best part was a video summary of all the key checks and statuses which they shared with me before handing over the car. Very informative and assuring to know that they took good care, as always. I had such a positive car buying experience with Josh W. I recently totaled my 2015 Honda Civic, and had done quite a bit of research and came to the conclusion that a Mazda was the way to go (hated the CVT transmission in the civic). Their pricing is extremely competitive and i was pleased with the available warranty options and additional perks that came with purchasing a car at Lee Johnson. Josh was very patient and even encouraged me to test drive one of the cars I was looking at an additional time, which helped alleviate any stressing I was having about making the choice on the model I went with. I requested a test drive last minute (during the Covid period), and they were easily able to accommodate same day with Lacey. She was on-time, had the car ready, and gave a good route to get a good feel for the car. When I returned, she did a fantastic job of going through the features, specifications, asking about what I wanted with the car (mountain driving) and then followed up with successful experiences that she and her clients had with the vehicle (great AWD, etc). She was by no means overly pushy, which made the experience very enjoyable. Deciding to start our Labor Day shopping early, my husband and I decided to visit the dealership that I trusted with the service of my beloved Mazda that was recently totaled (not my fault-still sad about it!). As always, I experienced the most personable, caring, and professional service from Raleigh Anderson. I'm always impressed by the questions people ask to truly understand my needs and wants. He made me feel valued and heard. He didn't try to pressure me and most impressively he didn't dumb down the "car talk." Originally I thought I got ripped off because of a friend's input, but I've changed my rating after a second opinion. These guys got my car fixed at (what I later found out) was a fair price, and recommended a solution for future rodent problems. No complaints after all! Update: Came to get my window fixed, and got quoted a price on the phone. Even though the quote was way below their actual price, they honored it when I left, complete with removing broken glass and washing the car. I am continually impressed at how honest these guys are.

I went to LJ after a terrible experience at a different dealership and the experience here was the complete opposite. I knew that the car I was searching for was difficult to find and had insane markups. However, Angelo and the staff at LJ Mazda were amazing. He was professional and made sure I understood everything we were going over. Negotiating the price of the car was done in an incredibly transparent manner, they had no markup on the car, and was reasonably priced even given the pandemic's increase on car prices. The staff's superb attitudes, the way I was treated equally (as an adult), and reasonable prices earned my business. Went in for oil change. Asked for seat not to be adjusted, got in it when done and seat was moved all the way up and raised. With all the dials it is very hard to get seat back to how I had it. Also was supposed to have a complimentary wash and vacuum and car was not vacuumed at all. Frustrating experience for my first service.

I have purchased new Mazda CX-5 from this dealership(1 month waiting) On a positive side the dealership doesn’t add a mark up value on new cars. On a negative side they offered an appraisal for my old car on low side. The sales man refused giving us the quote in advance on our first visit, which impacted our negotiation on deal date. The KBB price was 14.500, I received 11K after negotiating and the car has been advertised for 20k with 2k discount = 18k Make sure you negotiate the price and quote them in advance. —- Upgraded to 3 stars - after call from the Lee Johnson owner and after uprisings my second car by Kyle.

Went in to see about a 2015 Rav4. Test drove it. It was nice. I get there's high demand, but not being flexible with negotiation and letting customers walk out without the sale is gonna hurt business. I had money to put down TODAY and pre-approval for the rest of it. After a very brief conversation with Mitch, I could see the dollar signs in his eyes. As I was made aware while test driving that there was another person waiting for it. Perhaps they had a better offer from that person. Whats the point in asking if there is anything they could do if they won't negotiate? That's why I'm taking my business elsewhere today.

Great service department. Manager let me know I needed less maintenance done than I expected at my current miles. Additionally, I was to get my tires rotated but was told it was unnecessary after measurements were taking. My last visit they now share a video of the mechanic taking and explaining the inspection of your vehicle and the status of each area. I really appreciate their honesty and transparency. Highly recommended. UPDATE: I've lowered my rating after my most recent visit. There is now a 3% charge on CC transactions which is ridiculous. If there is a cap, I wasn't made aware of it. Considering that services normally cost hundreds of dollars, it's disappointing to be penalized for using a card to defer payments. Also, what happened to the complimentary car wash?

Had a good experience at the Mazda Service department. They had both an opening on the calendar with loaner available that wasn't 3 weeks out. So I said screw Renton Mazda and went here (both dealerships are equal distance from me.) After the appointment I decided to seriously check about trading my car in on a new Mazda. I'm a "Car Guy" I know new prices and trade in values (Black Book/Manheim Auction prices) I had already done a little research. I ended up getting the 20-something salesman that was following the "old school" sales rep games to a tee so he just wasted my time. Low ball on the trade offer. High ball on the new car price. I used a Car Buying service to get quotes on a brand new Mazda from 6 of the Puget Sound area dealers. Lee Johnson was the most expensive. This dealership can afford to go high on prices as the Kirkland area is one of the highest economic demographics. A fixer upper is a million bucks in Kirkland (at least West of the freeway.) People making good money in this area may know a lot about software engineering but very little about car values. In my opinion, this dealership takes advantage of that local demographic by being less flexible on pricing compared to other dealers (new and trade.) It's a world away from Puyallup in several aspects, no offense Puyallup. Between higher trade and lower new price I saved $2,800 buying from another dealer.

Horrible experience. From the time I walked in sales person was unprofessional and the very first thing he said is CX5 is not in stock because of chip issues but as we started speaking, suddenly he had more cars available and just wanted to close the deal. In the first 10 mins itself I was able to tell this is not the dealership I would for sure pick up my car from. He did not care to ask anything about me or my preferences but just pushed to purchase the car. I went ahead and booked a CX-5 with another dealership and got a much better deal and service.

I just went in to buy a car today, and Marcus Andrews was very friendly and seemed eager to ensure that he was giving a great customer service experience, even though he seemed like he was being pulled in 5 different directions! I don't know if I'd have bought today if everyone hadn't been so helpful, flexible, and accommodating. I had to run back and forth from my house, to my landladys house, and back to the dealership in order to produce all the necessary documentation. It seemed like a fairly hectic day, but they all made sure to portray positive attitudes and it felt like they were happy to help. I'm very pleased with my purchase and will certainly recommend.

We had an appointment at Car Pro’s in Renton to purchase our Kia Niro last Sunday. My husband went into their store on Friday, test drove the car, made all the arrangements. We believed I would be going in and signing the papers. When we arrived it seemed the sales person did not remember our appointment. The car was no longer available. He could not find another Niro for us to see. The price we were offered on our trade in suddenly was $4000 less. We called Lee Johnson and spoke with Zach. He had several cars for us to see. Great service from the quick lube gentleman when I needed an oil change and a tire repair and the young lady inside who took care of my recall headlights! (Someone please tell the older salesman who sits in the middle service area desk to wear his mask correctly over his nose. Every time I’ve seen him he’s got it barely over the nose falling off or this time it was hanging on his upper lip under his nose. In October he made a point to tell me how much he hates that we have to wear masks—I get it they are a hassle, but it’s not about you, it’s about protecting other people...)

First off, I would like to say that this dealership had almost the exact car I wanted so I think that took a lot of pressure off of the whole experience since nobody felt like they needed to push someone to make a purchase. That being said, the staff at Lee Johnson Mazda was very human and gracious towards me and I am glad I got to buy a car from these people. Being a bit of a gear head myself, I got no red flags from Lacey as she was more than happy to allow me to do a comprehensive evaluation of the car from getting under and evaluating the subframe to smelling the engine oil. That is very important to me when making a major purchase like this and I wouldn't have settled for anything less. This was my fist car buying experience as a young adult. Lacey, Nick and Michael made me feel welcome and wanted as a customer and, more importantly, as an individual. We did get pushed extremely hard by the sales manager, John, to buy a warranty that was worth 30% of the car's worth but he was just doing his job and you don't become the boss by doing anything but. If we need a warranty of that magnitude for a four year old car with 60k miles, there is something seriously wrong. That being said, I have been driving the car for a week and have been nothing but happy with it. Thank you, Lacey!

I was searching for a CPO CX-5, and found what I thought was the ideal vehicle, which had all the bells and whistles I wanted. Josh Wilson stepped up and was ready to help right away. Unfortunately my timing was such that by the day we were able to test drive the vehicle, the one that I had my heart set on was already gone. We bought our car here and the process was straight forward and very easy. Total time in and out was under two hours. Had the worst ever experience at this dealership, the sales representative lacked a general sense of etiquette and respect for their customer. When the mess up caused by one of the sales rep was brought to the attention of the manager instead of taking the responsibility he was behaving arrogantly and rudely. Very unprofessional and ignorant sales team with absolutely no value of their customers time! Wouldn’t recommend dealing with Tony and Jimmy at all, their rudeness will make you feel unvalued and disrespected. I also some how felt the ignorance and attitude was also based on the fact that I am an Asian as the sales rep who engaged with me initially and clearly told me that he is getting back to me with numbers and inventory details went ahead and started entertaining other customer without even letting me know and left me unattended for a long time.(the other customer obviously was not Asian)

He is still in touch with me after purchasing the car ten days ago checking in and helping me to learn how to set up some of the more complicated features according to my specifications. He is very knowledgeable about the cars, and is very clear and straightforward. Horrible experience. I called before and booked an appointment with a sales person (Jeffrey) to test drive some mazda cars. But when I reached there, I was told that I talked with a Kia salesperson instead (he never told me that on the call even though I specifically mentioned mazda), and the owner had the audacity to say it was my fault because I didn't book an appointment, so they can't attend to me. Even the actual salesperson was right there, and he said it was partially my fault too. I didn't get any test drive, and I just left the store immediately. No one contacted me later to apologize for the mixup or reschedule. The owner was so quick to push all the blame from him to me. Strongly recommend against going here.

My vehicle displayed it was time for a service, although due to COVID I had not been traveling. I took in the vehicle to have them shut off the warning, which daily displayed that I needed service. I also asked them to update the navigation chip as navigation was not accurate at times. They did both tasks in a timely manner, at no charge. I also, while waiting for my vehicle to be serviced, talked to the Finance Department about questions I had about my service and maintenance contract limitations. Everything went smoothly and everyone was knowledgeable and considerate. I bought the vehicle in July and have had nothing but positive interactions with Lee Johnson Mazda, Kirkland.

I brought a Mazda 3 (my second Mazda, really love Mazda cars) from Lee Johnson with the help of Captain and Nick. Absolutely incredible experience. Captain is a really fun salesman and he is focusing on customer. He was talking about what we want to hear with some highlights we may not know. (We had some bad experience with other dealership that the salesman only talk about how good the car is and ask us to buy it today.) Lee Johnson is also a good dealership without a lot of traps which we may find from other dealerships (e.g. expansive required accessories). The buying process was also smooth and fast. It took 3.5 hours from the time we entered the dealership to the time we drove our new car to home. Highly recommend Lee Johnson. I also did a couple of times car maintenance with Lee Johnson service. I also recommend it. Less than one hour walk-in maintenance in non rush time.

Though the sales team is genuine and nice to work with, I can’t say I have had similar experience with their service department. The review is not based on just a single incident but the general lack of etiquette and respect for a customer. The most recent experience validates this where the representative did not show any intent to clear a service scheduling confusion, neither did he apologize for his behavior when the issue was resolved (from their mistake). They desperately need to improve on their general soft skills and demeanor toward their customers. Hope this review is read by their concerned authority to enhance customer experience.

Michael hourigan was great. Kind upfront funny and helpful. He let us test drive lots of different cars so that we could find exactly what we liked and what features were really important to us. He was conscious of our price range and fought for the best price and payment options that fit our budget. They make the entire process of buying a car easy. I even left my purse in one of the cars we test drove and he kept it safe for me to pick up the next day. In 2014 I bought a brand new Mazda 3 HB. This was my first time buying a car, after agreeing on a price (20k). A representative misled me into buying an extended guarantee (that did not cover what he was implying) and a gap insurance that given the amount of down payment I put was totally useless after the first two months. They also told me that if I had my car serviced in the agency they would buy it from me whenever I was ready to upgrade or if I had to move. So I did, and I tried a different agent this time, early this year they tried to offer me 3k for my car with a straight face, then when I read the Blue book spreadsheet they were referring to I realized their math was off. They claimed it was a mistake and up the offer to 5k. I ended up selling my car to another agency for 7.5k. If you’re a first buyer or a first seller. Don’t come here. They’ll take advantage of whoever they can.
