Langley Federal Credit Union Geo. Washington Mem. Hwy, Hayes

They don't answer phones, there are no customer service reps online. Why give your money to an institution that doesn't support it customers. They want me to go 12 miles to make an appointment for a few questions, that's ridiculous and the only credit union that offers zero support on the phone or on line. This is how we live now yet after 2 years of COVID protocols, they still make it hard to use your own money. Open an account with questionable credit and get no debit card. Awful

My husband was pre-approved for an auto loan. Went to Richmond to purchase the vehicle and have been at the car lot since 10:00 am waiting for them to return our phone calls. Called them 5 times and we're told someone would call back. It is now 4:00pm and we still haven't heard from anyone. Great customer service 😡 took off work for nothing. After I wrote this review I got on the phone for the 6th time and this time I insisted on talking to someone in the Hayes branch, Bingo! I explained our experience to the loan officer that helped me and did not hang up with me until we got it all straight and we drove our new truck home 😁. She explained that with many of the employees working from home things are a bit chaotic and apologized. Thank you Ashley for saving the day, and going above and beyond the call of duty to provide exelant customer service. You a an awesome team player and an asset to lfcu.

I have been a member since 1973! I have never had an issue with them. I was concerned when Jean Yocum retired but we still get the same amazing service. I have never even considered changing my financial institution. This is til death does us part!

The only part of the website I had to use today was the Live Chat. I tried three times in a row to get assistance and it shut me out every time. If the conversation is idle for 2 minutes, it shuts you out. And by idle they mean the Langley person has to talk and if they don't, you get shut out. It's extremely annoying and quite ridiculous. Oh, and one more thing. I requested a replacement debit card on Feb 29 and it was allegedly mailed to me on March 1 and I still have not received it as of today March 10. Beyond ridiculous! And the person I spoke with on the phone has no idea where it was being mailed from. Wow.

Horrible! Do not use this crooked bank. They rob their customers! Thank God USAA is my primary bank!

This bank is so low staffed, don’t go to the bank unless you have 4 hours to just make a deposit.

I’ve been with Langley for 10 years and never experienced a single issue until dealing with Mathew Bass mortgage loan officer. We went through the whole loan process and were 90% done last we heard from Mathew is that we needed a settlement date and most recent paystubs so we sent the info to him via email there preferred method of communication. After week goes by we tried reaching out to him by phone and email to make sure he received our recent email as we haven’t heard anything. Then another week and half go by and still nothing after multiple attempts of trying to reach him, We decide to call and ask for a manager and to no surprise no one was available so the lady took all my info down and said I’d hear from someone shortly. Another week and half goes by so I call again and same thing no one is available manager wise so she took my info down again. Two days later I get a email from another loan officer who apparently took my loan over and she was trying to start the whole thing over. Never heard from a manager. Ohhhh and Mathew decided to run my credit in the beginning and then again sometime later without my permission or letting me know why he was running it again (still have no idea because there terrible lack of communication) so credit has been ran 3 times total now as we switch companies and it has been the best decision ever so if you need one check out Alcova and ask for Dave he’s the man. I’m thinking about canceling everything I have at Langley after this absolute nightmare with Langley

Went into the Hayes, VA branch of Langley Federal Credit Union and was very pleased with the customer service I received when opening my accounts. Mr. Nickerson was most kind, and he was just so informative and and caring. When I left the bank I felt really like they truly cared about me no matter how much I deposited. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, I am looking forward to a long banking relationship.. And I love all the online banking options they offer without all the confusion. Thanks Mr. Nickerson

If I could rate for staff alone, it would be 5-stars. Everyone I've ever spoken with has always been pleasant & respectful, knowledgable & friendly, regardless of the situation. Policy-wise, I'm not crazy about LFCU. And their new 'Core Conversion' - I absolutely hate it. Ended up losing 1/2 of my savings account but there's 'nothing they can do.' 😮😠🙄

Every time I have to call and speak to someone over the phone, they are always so rude and make you seem like a bother. I hate dealing with this bank!
