Kalsee Credit Union S Drake Rd, Kalamazoo

I have always had a great experience at Kalsee. I have been a member since I was 13 and they have always done the right thing for me. They are responsible directly for my saving habits and getting me to the place I want to be in life.

Fastest drive-in window tellers in the area by WMU. (Other places are only faster when they don’t have anyone in line to begin with.)

Just went in to close my account. Lindsey, the Branch rep, was rude. Told me she cannot close the account until my debit card is closed and that the person that closes cards doesn’t work on weekends. I said, “that’s fine, but how can I get proof I closed my accounts “. She snapped at me and told me, “I said I can’t close it today, so I can’t give you proof”. I said “I understand that, but how will I get my proof once the account has been closed?”. She then stated, with attitude, “I can mail you something”. This is why everyone is leaving your institution. The crazy part of it all is that she asked me why I was closing my account and my first reason was “bad customer service”...I guess she wanted to make sure I knew it was still bad. Do yourself a favor and bank elsewhere!!

Slow service and terrible customer service. The branch manager Brooke doorlag #1237997. Said I can't cash my check for 538.85 because it's a corporate check she's worried about it bouncing . Really. I asked her if she could call her boss at the headquarters to approve the check . Her attitude and slurs acted like corporate checks are not good enough . Trillion dollars with this corporate buisness . She's telling me she's worried about it bouncing.

My wife transferred $200 from our checking into savings. We are standing in Walmart and she gets on the online ap to transfer money back to our checking account, it says no available balance and an actual balance of $201. Can't transfer it, we proceed to leave our groceries behind and drive to our nearest Kalsee Credit Union again unable to transfer our $200 and can't withdraw it. Now not only did we waste over an hour and a half of our night but still can't access the $200 or pay for groceries. Of course Kalsee is closed and had no customer service after hours. Sometimes I wonder why I bank with them. Tomorrow we are moving to Advia. We're done with Kalsee.

Not enough people stationed if you want to go inside, but there’s always help when I use the drive-thru. Also whoever was getting yelled at by the angry person holding up the line: it’s not your fault they didn’t pay attention to their finances, don’t let it wear you down.

The drive thru did an amazing job even though there were cars wrapped around the building.

Wanted to thank them for my trivia Tuesday gift bag. Lots of goodies that we've been putting to use we.

Was sued while I was at Boot Camp in the Marine Corps (which in and of itself shouldn't happen) because I owed them a little over $400. Came back, was served with papers and accused of avoiding them, tried calling Kalsee to sort things out and left messages 37 different times before the court date and nobody got back to me. Now I owe them $800 and my wages are being garnished. Do NOT bank with this sorry excuse for a financial institution.

Love the team here!!! They are always helpful, patient and friendly. I’ve been a member for over 20 years and wouldn’t think of ever going anywhere else. It’s a great feeling knowing that they always have my back not only protecting my assets, they ALWAYS give the best customer service no matter how big or small the need.
