Refinancing through Independent Bank what a great process. Working with Tim Church and he is very knowledgeable and great with what items would be best for my situation. Highly recommend contacting Tim for any loan.

Always rearranging transactions to maximize their profit. Pretty sure they just went through a lawsuit over this but it still happens. The last time, before I finally closed my account, was putting my mortgage payment and 4 other transactions from that day before my check deposit that happened the same morning netting them 5 over draft fees and returning my mortgage payment for another fee even though the check deposit covered all of it and should never have put me negative. Tellers and all the people I talked to told me it’s my fault or they’d “look into it” and never do. Lol

I was just there and a women name june waited on me. She asked for my soc #? And i gave it to her. i asked why u ask that i have never been asked for my soc. She said its alot of u guys in the system. But clearly i gave her my drivers license which had my birth date and address on it which been the same for ten years. i figure that she dont like african American bc she didn't ask the white guy in front of me for his soc. I will be changing banks real soon can't wait until they go out of business too bc that was so disrespectful

They ask everyone there social number if your name comes up 10 different ones,my name there's like 20 Deena Baker out there lm happy there making sure it's me. It's always something America

We have banked at Independent Bank for years. I have never felt the urge to write a review. The reason I’m doing it today is because I received excellent service at this location in Clio. Normally we go to North Branch or Lapeer. I have never had any issues before but this month I needed a couple of documents notarized . I was told at the main call center that there is no charge for this as long as I have an account. For the first document I went to Lapeer. I had to return a second day to get it then I was charged $5. The second document I took to Clio. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I was not charged.

I sat in drive thru from 4:20 to 4:54 before I got help from 1 of 3 employees there was no one in the bank but me. they first told me they couldn't give me any money because they were simply out of money then they said they give it to me in 20s and then I needed to make a deposit that was to difficult to so they decided to give me more 20s and then I said I wanted to deposit the check in which she responded were closed rude and obnoxious the employees at this branch are terrible and if the manager would like to contact me I have an account under pave rite if I had employees like this I would be out of business in a week's time shameful if they don't like there job they should quit and find a new one.

Terrible experience, I’ve used lots of independent banks from different towns never had an issue. Workers are rude not very pleasant to deal with, closing my account after this last visit

Very nice teller. Nice atmosphere, too.
