    If I could give this company 0 stars I would. Dropped off a 4 year old vehicle to be diagnosed which was under warranty and was told to collect documentation of a maintanece history. Did so, and upon calling the company with an update was then informed that the company had already submitted a claim which required additional pictures. Customer was not informed what additional information/pictures were needed. This resulted in additional parts being taken off the car which HYUNDAI requested to be done. Hyundai then put the cost of removing and replacing these parts back on the customer. When speaking with manager about this unethical issue was told that there is nothing that could be done. The customer was told that it was the customer's responsibility to pay or the car would be withheld. Come to find out upon picking up the car Hyundai had incorrect oil change history that THEY entered. Company did not reach out prior to submitting the claim to inform the customer what the next steps were gouging the customer over $750 dollars. The company would not provide the customer documents of detailed information and when the customer brought it to Hyundais attention was told if you don't sign papers car will not be released.. They lie to you and submit claims without telling you all the details and CLAIM they do. What company would do that? Hyundai would! When documents you ask for are requested they refuse to give them to you. HAD been a loyal customer for years but Hyundai has showed their true colors. Drove the car in running and was told the car could be towed or traded in if customer wouldn't pay for parts HYUNDAI REMOVED WITHOUT CONSENT. Picked the car up which staff couldn't even locate and also car wouldn't start when staff did find the car! Parts on the car were not put together properly. Multiple ADDITIONAL lights on after picking a perfectly working car up. Requested to speak to manager who didn't return call after all their discrepancies.This is a disgrace. Take your business elsewhere. Their cars are defective and they mistreat customers. Shady shady company all around. The response to reviews is to reach out to Brett. Been there, did that, and one ends up getting screwed by a shady company who takes advantage of customers. Go elsewhere when looking to buy or service your car. This will save you from getting screwed over.

We tried our best to get the warranty claim approved but Hyundai requested your oil change records and unfortunately you didn't have them for a 30,000 mile period - they wouldn't approve the engine claim because of this.     Salesman Nick was wonderful. Worked with us and was super patient. Did a test drive with him. Only not giving 5 stars because he told us there was none of the vehicle we were looking for within 500 miles and we’d have to order it and wait 4-6 months…. and there were two in Elgin.

    0 STARS I was expecting to come in this morning to get an oil only to be told that I’d be charged $90 even though I was under a complimentary maintenance plan. When I asked why it was because I missed the interval. I missed the interval because the time before this I tried getting an oil change and I was refused because my hood was damaged which was understandable. He Failed to mention I’d be charged $90 the following apt. It’s a huge rip off which is concerning because I’ve been a loyal customer. Reading other reviews makes me realize I’m not the only one with problems with both the service dept and service manager Bret, not very helpful. I rlly thought this was a good dealership but I was wrong. I will NEVER purchase any vehicle from here and be sure to inform others not to either.

    Madelyn, We're sorry that you're disappointed - when we tried to assist you with the major body work needed a few months back, you would have stayed within Hyundai's limitations, but you chose to go elsewhere. Hyundai (not the dealership) has placed regulations on the complimentary service program and we aren't able to cover the oil change due to these regulations.     I went to this Hyundai location last Saturday and the “salesman” had an bad attitude. He only showed me used vehicles and asked me to leave because he was too busy closing another deal. He also said just “come back when you are ready to drive”. I So, the following day I went to Zimbrick Hyundai West located in Madison, they have a lot of vehicles and they are super friendly, and I’m in love with my 2022 Tucson. So if you want to be treated bad go to Hyndai on Perryville. But if you want fair prices and vip experience Zimbrick Hyndai Weat on Madison is your place.

    Well I know is illinois and it's expensive but in this case the problem was the bad attitude from a lady working there. She works in the repair or parts department and she behaved as if she were the owner of the dealer and as if I wasn't going to pay, it was really unpleasant and she was very despotic.

    They do not work with warranty’s so don’t even bother taking your car to them ! My car needs a part and every time I speak to someone they say they can not find that part that my car needs . So when I asked them what is the part number that my car needs so I can do the research my self the manager Bret then told me he can NOT provide me with the part number because they do not have it … so I am in question how are they looking for the part without the part number… they have literally been giving me the run around for everything … and they just want to charge you any little fees that they can … I have to pay 170 dollars just for them to tell me they can not find a part to my car .. when I clearly found the part and when I ask for the part number to match it up they then did not want to provide me with the number … he told me to pick up my car and pay the fee and he will call me later with the part number to my car

    Took 6 months to replace the engine of my car and when I got the car, I brought it back just after 1 week due to some fuel leak. They said it was the fuel injectors but when I brought it to another shop it was the oil gasket which is now fixed. There are 2 issues here, First is they did not check the car very well before they released it thus I was driving an unsafe car then the other is they misdiagnosed the issue in which I paid for the diagnosis.

    Our first time at this dealership looking for a car for my wife. The sales person Christian was very professional. Did not pressure us. Showed us several vehicles. Found a vehicle we liked in the Kona Ultimate. Easy to negotiate a price without having to deal with extra fees that other dealerships will charge. While in finance, Christian was getting the car ready. Once we were done in finance, Christian went over the manuals. Then installed our new plates. Christian then asks if we had any questions. Christian then followed up with a phone call the next day. Hyundai's have a very good warranty. My wife and I had a very pleasurable experience at Hyundai on Perryville. Thank You Christian.

    First time here when I called for oil change appointment told them it was full synthetic Motor oil they put in regular oil. They did do a redo with correct oil. After a call Pat the General manager he said he would mail me the updated paperwork. He was ver Nice on the phone will give them another chance next service.

    I'm being generous with my rating. I didn't purchase my vehicle here because their service department is lacking in customer service (daughter got her new vehicle from here) and they have better warranty deals in North Aurora. I went in this morning with an 'appointment with Joe'. They didn't know which Joe I was asking for when I arrived. The sales manager asked if I'd purchased my car from them, to which I replied no. He actually said nothing else, but turned his back to me! There was a sales guy that helped me with questions about pairing to Android Auto. After seeing how the manager behaved, I now know why I drove 70 miles to Gerald's Hyundai in North Aurora!

    Hi Kari, We don't have a Joe that works for us and no record of you in our system of having an appointment - we're glad though that Andrew was able to help pair your phone on the car you bought elsewhere (surprised they didn't help you with that, but we're always happy to assist!). The manager was trying to help you and Andrew determine what you needed help with - once that was figured out, he left you with Andrew. Careful with that lifetime warranty you got by driving 70 miles - if you even get as much as an oil change somewhere else, that warranty is void. You mention your daughter and our service department - please have her reach out if she's had any issues so we can assist in resolving them.

    Friendly staff when I bring my Hyundai in for regular maintenance and are not horribly pushy with upsells you do not really need. My one personal complaint is that I bought a brand new set of 4 tires and part of the sale was the next four tire rotations would be free. In two years or has only been applied once and only when I insisted and needed to remind them.

    This is an absolute racket, take your business elsewhere. My husband dropped our car off on Thursday for a diagnostic for some issues it was having. I called them on Friday and was told it'll be a few days before they can even look at it. Call again on Tuesday and now "it's going to be a few weeks" before they can look at it but "it may need a new engine" (???) with no further clarification. My husband calls them again on Tuesday asking for a quote for a trade-in value since we'd been thinking about getting a new one soon anyway; now they tell him they've expedited the diagnostic from "16 weeks to just under a month," which turns back into "just a few days" when asked for clarification. Then another staff member calls him (NOT the salesperson he initially spoke to) asking if he's interested in buying the car - HIS OWN CAR - so I can only assume they prioritized it up because there was a miscommunication at the dealership and staff thought they'd found a hot new lead interested in the car.

    I’m came February 10 2022 for an oil change that was at 3pm came at 230 didn’t leave until 440 . I’m highly upset of the Multi point inspection. I feel they did a poor job . I had to come back the next day because my tires was at 40 on each side . Also I had items stolen out my car . Do not come here they steal and really don’t look at your car . Also have you waiting all day even weeks for a simple things it doesn’t matter that you make a appointment.

    Handling of the sales process was good, vehicle sells itself. But to be so proficient with the sales and then hook people up with the worst financing people is a traumatic. Because of the financing part I could never recommend anyone to go there for a vehicle because I would be embarrassed. With that being said it is obvious they can't possible care about their customers and what they put them thru. Therefor I highly recommend other dealers.

    General statement: DO YOUR RESEARCH! Hyundai cars are starting on fire and the engines are seizing at low mileage. Their “best warranty” means nothing. If you’re going to buy a Hyundai make sure you have a second car because you WILL need it. Or stay away from this brand altogether. Now specific to this dealer: Service department is AWFUL. Seized engine at 80k miles. Regular oil changes and it simply burned it all despite an oil change 2 months prior. Towed to dealership 2 weeks ago after it dangerously seized on Perryville. Under warranty since the engine is defective. This dealer is rude and says they will get to it when they can, “at least 6-8 weeks” until they LOOK at it to confirm what my mechanic already told me and get the new engine ordered. Said every other Hyundai dealer will tell me the same. Nope. Called Sycamore and they can within a week or so, so now I’ll pay to have it towed to another dealer. Avoid this dealership at all costs. Unless you can just go without a car for months and hope they get back to you. They weren’t too busy when I went in, standing around and some smoking out back. Ridiculous.

    If you need service done to your vehicle, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Drive the xtra distance!! Made an appointment for a recall on ABS brake Module. Took the car in for the part to be replaced. They inspected it and said it's the brake Module!! Hello that's what I brought it there for!! They had to order the part and make another appointment. Took it back to have it replaced. Three days later every warning light on the dash comes on. Took it to a different dealership to have it looked at and the part they replaced was installed but never tightened any of the bolts!! After the other dealership tightened the bolts everything was fine no warning lights nothing! Thanks for putting my fiance's life in danger when she drives her car to work over an hour away!! I will NEVER take another vehicle there again!

    This review is pertaining to the service department. If you do not have time to read, my advice is to avoid bringing your car to this shop for services. It is FAR more trouble than it is worth. On September 10th I brought in my car to the Hyundai on Perryville store after breaking down in Northern Illinois while I was moving back home to Wisconsin. The total elapsed time I have gone without getting my car back to the present date since the incident is 84 days as of (12/3/21). If I do not receive my car prior to 12/11/21 it will legitimately be a whole quarter of a year since dropping my car off at this establishment. The car was damaged by roadside debris which my car was struck by after being launched from a leading car on the interstate. The incident resulted in damage to my wheel, brake caliber, suspension components and radiator. However, visually the car seemed unscathed. This has by far been the longest time I have ever seen any car in a shop for, considering the types of damages involved, this should not have taken remotely this long. Upon arriving, staff were kind and seemed to be composed professionally, but this is about where my appreciation ended. I do believe that no work was done to my car for at least two weeks after dropping it off after the incident simply because they didn't take the initiative to do so. After about two weeks I had assumed they would have already had parts ordered or be working on the issue at hand. I called and nothing was done. I had the impression they didn’t even know my car was there. Once the middle of October came, they were extremely slow and hardly making any progress with the car. I would need to call every day just to make sure things were getting done with my car and I would need to constantly go back and forth with insurance adjustors and the service specialists even though the shop had the appropriate contact information. This was in no way something I should have done. They were making excuses saying they were having trouble contacting them, but this seemed bogus. At one point in October, they wouldn’t work on my car because of the wheel being damaged. They did this because they didn’t want to roll it onto the lift in that condition. This should have been a moment to think in a critical manner and consider putting a different wheel with the same lug pattern on (with my consent) just to roll it onto the lift, but they did not consider doing so. They didn’t even bother to call me about resolving such a menial issue. They had every intent to wait for a new wheel to arrive God knows when. With current shortages this could take months. I had to instruct them to put the spare on just to roll it on the lift. In this moment it became apparent that they would not take the initiative to contact the customer to provide any updates which offer resolution to the issue at hand. They are perfectly content with the car sitting there and nothing being done to it. It has felt that I have needed to be far too involved just for them to do their job. I became very frustrated and wanted to speak with the service manager hoping this would provide headway on the situation. This provided a slight improvement, the improvement being that I saw a slight increase in attentiveness in getting the car fixed and a few more updates to the ongoing situation. From having the manager involved, I received standard level service I have come to expect from previous visits to any other unrelated car shop. However, this is not when issues ended. I mentioned previously about the lack of work done due to the wheel. Once they got the car on the lift following my instructions to use the spare tire, they conducted an inspection on parts to be replaced accordingly. They then filed their order for replacement parts and then waited for the new parts. About a week went by and then they received the new parts. At this moment I called again and was informed they needed *more parts for the car*. The coming weeks were followed be extremely slow administrative work to get the new parts. Don't bring your car here

    Jose M was FANTASTIC! He greeted us at the door and was extremely professional. Really tried to get to know why we wanted to look at specific cars and our “must haves” before test driving, and then was extremely knowledgeable about the cars we looked at. We did purchase a car and Jose’s professionalism and kindness made the day go very smoothly and he wasn’t pushy which made it even better. I would give him 10/10 stars for his customer service, knowledge, and friendliness. Rob the manager and everyone else we talked to were great too.     If i could give the service center zero stars i would. I scheduled an appointment for August 2 and then told my dealership that was the date to bring my car in for a software update recall. My car was randomly shutting off when coming to a stop so they thought the recall was the issue. After 4 days passed the second and no communication from them, i called and was told i never had an appointment so i was being “squeezed in”. I had to have an appointment to get a loaner through my dealership, so this was untrue because i had already had my loaner for a week.. After a week went by, i called my dealership and they still hadn’t heard from the service center so i called and they told me that they completed the software update but my car was still shutting off when coming to a stop. They checked the oil dipstick and told me that i hadn’t had an oil change in over 12,000 miles and there was sludge and metal shavings all over the stick. When i only gave them permission to complete the software update. Then they tried to charge me $165.00 for that. On top of that, they wanted to charge me $650.00 to just look at the engine to see if that was the issue and wouldn’t be covered with my under the hood warranty that i still had in effect for 3,000 more miles. I am regular on my oil changes so i knew this was also untrue and had my dealership pick up my vehicle. When my vehicle returned to the dealership, they did a camera scope of my engine for free and found absolutely nothing wrong with my oil. No metal shavings or sludge was found. I would rather drive an hour to get my car fixed than to ever come back to this service center.

    Madelynn, you purchased this vehicle recently from another lot (used) and they were supposed to make your appointment - they didn't. They were the ones that didn't want to pay for the engine diagnosis and they were the ones that came and picked up your car. We didn't try to charge you anything, it was all done through the selling dealership. Your vehicle did need a new engine, we're not sure how the dealership you purchased the vehicle from handled that for you.     Car dealership. Staff is good, friendly, and for a dealer, prices aren't bad. We've now bought 3 new cars there. So far, we've had good experiences there. Update 1/2022 - Staff in service dept. is all new to me, and much less friendly/engaging than before. It's been very hard to get an appointment for even an oil change within weeks. Seems to be opening up some now, but I miss the old service advisors and their friendliness.

    Wonderful experience! Great car at a great price! Everybody was very friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend this dealer for a car purchase. Stan was extremely helpful and courteous, I was unable to get to the dealer until late in the day and he stayed after closing to let me finish a test drive. The following day when we purchased a car they were extremely accommodating with a carfax and all the time I wanted to look the vehicle over. I would definitely consider going there again for another vehicle purchase.

    I was very pleased with my salesman, Russell Christian. I told him what i was looking for, & what i wasn't looking for, & decided on the Hyundai Tucson. Due to the shortage of new cars at the time, Russell told me to let them make some calls, to see if they could locate the car, & color i was looking for. I was told it would take approx. 10-13 days. On about the 9th day, I received a call letting me know, 1 had been located, & it was the color i was looking for! That was on a Friday, & i went in on that Monday, to pick up my new car! The rest is history! I LOVE my Tucson!!

    Bought a 2021 Hyundai Sonata from this place with the help of Jose, such an amazing salesman and a cool guy to talk to!     Went in for an oil change and tire rotation had a $10 off coupon for getting both of these things done but some how the coupon was not applied to the bill.🤔🤨 That's bad for business. Check your bill to make sure that your not getting over charged for something before you pay. I won't let that happen again!!

    I have only had good experiences at this dealership. I've been dealing with Hyundai and some of the same people since they were located on Alpine. The service department is great! I also could not ask for a more professional, courteous and knowledgeable salesperson than Patricia Carter-Keller!! She goes above and beyond and is a very caring person.     Let's talk about the automotive/service department.. Brad in the service department said they fixed this recall on my vehicle but now a year later the recall problem he said the service department fixed is now in effect.. I think not! This is bad business and saying you fixed something that you didn't is immoral and makes you guys untrust worthy! FYI these pictures were taken while my car was in park and turned off.

    My wife and I had looked at several other dealerships (different brands) and decided to just take a look to see what they had. We hadn't been parked for more than 30 seconds and out comes Bryan, on a krutch, to greet us and see what he can help us find. VERY friendly, personable, honest, upfront and knowledgeable. We never once felt that he was pushy or dishonest. We first drove a new Palisade but decided to buy a fully loaded new 2020 Santa Fe and we love it! The staff was all very helpful and polite.     As always, great service! I was in the waiting area when the service manager came out to tell me that they didn't have the part they needed; however, they ordered it and it should be there shortly. He said that it would take them awhile to fix after they received the part, and offered me a courtesy car to use until the afternoon when my car would be done. I was able to run my errands before they called me that my car was finished and ready for pick up! I've never had a bad experience. Great place to work with!
