Not once but twice when taking money out or cashing checks, they asked what I was using the money for! Well it’s my cash and it’s none of your business! After asking what they want the information for and what are they doing with it they couldn’t provide me an answer. I’m glad that my family was in a position to cancel all accounts with Heartland Credit Union and move our money to a better establishment. People in this country need to wake up and realize that we are not subject’s we are CITIZENS!!!

This goes for ALL of heartland banks. The whole banking system they have going on. How hard is it to honor the no overdrafts? They honestly want to steal from you at this point. So Hulu, netflix, HBO, all of those subscriptions. If you don't have the money they say what? Update your card. This month I shut my subs down, but I couldn't get into Disney to do so. So tell me why Disney takes money out that I don't have and puts me negative, WHEN I HAVE NO OVERDRAFTING ON? How hard was it as the bank to see that when setting my account up I asked to set it up in a way where the transaction is rejected if I do not have the funds? I get disability...$877 a month. Im trying to manage money and figure out how to save but everytime I'm good or think I'm doing good. Yall hit me with a 25 dollar over draft fee? At least summit only charges $5. You guys are stealing from me at this point. I have constantly called to fix this problem. They don't want to help you save. They want to steal from you. If I wasn't moving states in like 4 months I'd close my account already. Please do not open with them. They will find excuses to take your money.

Great rates for our car loan but would never use them again. They charge $7.99 to make an online payment!! And they tried to refinance our other loans but I backed out when they told me that it was the law that I HAD to go on the loans with my husband which is a lie.

I moved to the Dane County area in the recent years and just got around to switching Credit Unions. I went to the Deforest branch and talked to Doug there, and ever since all I can say is my experience has been nothing other than 5⭐️! They've been great to work with. I would say all around if you're shopping for a new Credit Union with friendly staff, great customer service, go no further than Heartland Credit Union!

If you are looking for a credit union to get away from fees and other trickery used to fleece you of your money, you should look elsewhere. I had a saving account and they planned to deplete it to zero using a bogus monthly fee.

Was highly recommended by a friend so I joined and everything was fine. Was in process of moving my social security payment to Heartland and then the next morning when trying to login it said my account was closed. There was no reason given and to this day I never received an answer as to why. I guess depositing money and paying bills is illegal. Never had any overdrafts.

Great bank and always great customer service. Jon the branch manager has been super helpful all the time and super friendly. If I wasn’t moving I’d might just move all my accounts over here.

I've been using HCU for roughly 5 or 6 years. I've really enjoyed it. They will go out of their way to help you out. Only issue I have ever had was on two loans the very first auto pay never even drafted. But they always fix it.

I am new to the Madison area & this was the closest Heartland branch to my home & I was thrilled to learn my Platteville branch teller (Meagan Fleming) had relocated! Heartland certainly knows how to hire Thee Best👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
