Golden 1 Credit Union Ikea Ct, West Sacramento

Golden 1 Bank is failing. I went to build a bear with my kids and went to pay, but was told my credit card was denied because it was expired however my card didn't expire until 12/21. I called Golden 1 and low and behold they did cancel my card and activated a new card that hadn't arrived yet. It has been 3 weeks and no card in sight. I tried to call to report it lost so that they can cancel the one lost in the mail, but guess who doesn't answer the phone ever. I have been trying to call for a week and they still haven't picked up the phone. I emailed them a week ago with no response. I am going to get a new bank as soon as I can. I would not recommend Golden 1 to anyone. Even 1 star is generous.

it is nice to have a full service Golden 1 credit Union branch in West Sacramento, just beware though that it gets very busy here during the lunch rush and during the weekends. I got there and there were only two people in line, but within 5 minutes there were 10 people behind me. Due to social distancing, the line was out the door. they only had two tellers on during the lunch rush today. The interior is not very welcoming, but it gets the job done.

I find it VERY hard to believe that this branch is rated so highly. I would say its probabaly the employee's but from what I see only 2 people work there. At first I thought maybe I was going at the wrong time and the tellers were on break. This branch is right down the road from my work so im stuck going quite often. With that being said there is ALWAYS only one person at the window. The other at her desk. The line is ALWAYS 5+ people deep and slow moving. If I have to stop at this branch I make sure I have at least an hour of wiggle room because its impossible for a quick transaction. Why not just use their ATM right? Yeah if only the drive thru one wasnt always down stuck on the same screen or if the one in front wasnt a mile long due to people trying to skip the line inside. Absolutely ridiculous. You would think with such a popular shopping center that this Golden 1 would be more prepared for these kind of situations. I also find it weird that if i go to any other Golden 1 from Sacramento to Roseville that there is always plenty of workers at those branches! Like I said if it wasn't for being close to my work I wouldnt be stopping at this branch.

This branch is the worst I've been to. I waited for 1 hour to get seen by a banker! And when my turn came by she came up to me and stated that her daughter is sick and that she has to leave. And another banker who just set down with her clients is going to help me! So i have to wait for another hour???

Worst bank there is, do yourself a favor and dont waste your time, you will have to wait 45 minutes in line just to cash a check while you watch how the other employees just chat with each other. They dont have enough employees working there and the ones that do work there aren't trained enough to perform their job correctly.

This location is always helpful and pleasant. Has been inconvenient during parts of this pandemic like when it was temporarily closed. Since reopening its been fine. As a business, due to pandemic, they have changed their hours. Would like to see open to 5:30 daily and would like to see more tellers on known high traffic days of the month. As for tellers and bankers...all good people, just keep pleasantries short and conversations on business at hand when there are others waiting for help😊

This is the worst branch. I waited for 40min just to get a cashiers check. Two of the employees were chatting with each other and the other one was working on a computer with closed window. Only one employee was working and he was taking too long with each customer. One of the customers even asked the employees to start working cuz there were more than 8 people waiting in line and they refused to do anything about it.

6 windows and only two registers open. The line got to be 16 people long. This bank is slow and doesn’t care. Employees standing around and talking to each other. Drive to the next closest branch. This one will only waste your time.

I will never, ever do business with this credit union again. There are many credit unions, do yourself a favor and choose any of them. I've had my car loan through them for 5 years. Never once been late or missed a pymnt. Horrible customer service, for a good customer.

June 30, 2018 ATM has not been accepting cash for a good month now. Hopefully they fix it. Drivethru ATM has same problem. When when inserted one bill at a time it rejects it.
